Abstract

The activity of student asked is very important in teaching and learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the model of experiential learning in teaching to enhance the activity of the student asked. Research using an experimental design with an intact group comparison models. The subjects were students of guidance and counseling that selected by purposive sampling technique. Research results through analysis techniques non-parametric Wilcoxon test values obtained with a probability of 0.028 (α <0.05), suggesting that the experiential learning model effective to enhance the activity of the student asked. Keywords:  experiential learning, students, activity of the student asked.

Abstract

The barriers associated with psychological relief search are defined as a general aversion to receiving psychological help or factors that inhibit psychological help-seeking behavior. The purpose of this study was to validate the scale of barriers in obtaining psychological assistance for the need for guidance and counseling services in schools. In line with this objective, the validity and reliability of the scale were examined in five different studies. The results of the validity and reliability test show that the scale consists of five dimensions, which are labeled as fear of stigmatization by society, trust in mental health professionals, difficulties in self-disclosure, devaluation perceptions and lack of knowledge. Subjects in this study amounted to 37 students. The findings indicate that the barriers to obtaining psychological support for school counseling and guidance needs are valid and reliable instruments for measuring student barriers in obtaining psychological assistance that school counselors will then use for school guidance and counseling services. Keywords:  validity, student barriers, psychological help, guidance and counseling                   service needs in school.

Abstract

Social skills in Children with Special Needs are very important. Autistic students who have high social skills will have high self-esteem and are easy to socialize with their environment. However, in reality, many autistic children who have low social skills are found. From this case, it is necessary to have a special treatment that can be started from formal education to improve the social skills of disabled students. One way that can be done by school counselors is using shaping techniques to grow social skills. This study uses the pre-experimental design method. The design of this study uses One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. From the results of the data analysis technique using Wilcoxon signed ranks test, it was found that z-score was -2,366 with a significance level of 0.018, which means there were differences in the results of the pretest and post-test results, where the post-test results were lower than the pre-test results. Thus it can be concluded that effective shaping techniques are used to improve social skills.Keywords:  shaping technique, social skills, autistic students

Abstract

This study describes the motivation of STKIP Guidance and Counseling students Muhammadiayah Pringsewu in entrepreneurship. From the results of the research and discussion, some conclusions can be drawn that the first subject is entrepreneurship in selling Muslim clothing and equipment, the second subject is entrepreneurship in the field of selling food and beverages, and the third subject is entrepreneurship in the field of typing services. The three subjects in this study had different entrepreneurial motivations, DMS had a motive for self-development, ASP had an independence motive, and AL had a motive for income. Students who are self-employed are not for income reasons, the subject prioritizes the interests of their studies compared to the entrepreneur so that the subject does not pursue the income target for the entrepreneur this makes the subject able to undergo both activities together, namely study and entrepreneurial activities.Keywords:  entrepreneurship, student motivation, guidance and counseling.

Abstract

Internal locus of Control needs to be owned by every individual, including students. Individuals who oriented in internal locus of control will believe that they have a major role to influence events related to their lives. A strategy that can be used to forming internal locus of control is group counseling by using cognitive behavioral approach. The purpose of this research was to reveal the effectiveness of group counseling by using cognitive behavioral approach in forming internal locus of control. This research was experimental research with pretest and post-test control group design. The sample had been chosen by using purposive sampling. The instrument that had been used was Internal Rotters’ inventory -External Locus of Control (I-E Scale). Data were analyzed by using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Two Samples. The findings of this research were: (1) there was a difference of locus of control in experimental group students before and after being treated; (2) there was a difference of locus of control in control group before and after being treated; and (3) there was a difference in students’ locus of control in experiment and control group.Keywords:  group counseling, cognitive behavioral, internal locus of control.

Abstract

The need for counseling services becomes urgent today. Focusing on the rapidity of counseled solutions becomes a counselor challenge in providing counseling services to counselees. One approach to counseling that addresses these challenges is the solution-focused brief counseling (SFBC). This approach is more important than solution talk rather than problem talk. One element that enhances the effectiveness of SFBC is the optimization of art expression by drawing solution. Art expressions with drawing solutions provide counselors with opportunities to describe solutions to their problems with intermediate exclusive questions and miracle questions techniques. This article will discuss the procedure of drawing a solution as a reference counselor to conduct counseling practice.Keywords:  drawing solution, expressive art, solution-focused brief counseling.

Abstract

Bullying behavior is harmful to the perpetrator and the victim. The goal of this research to identify the forms of bullying and locations of bullying. Descriptive study with bullying behavior scale instrument on 300 students and analyzed descriptively. The findings that bullying behavior is verbal, physical, relational, and cyber. Verbal bullying behavior through angry, mocking, laughing, cursing, and make friends. Relational bullying through gossip, excommunication, seniority, gangs, and sneers. Bullying is physically by grabbing, hitting, fighting, and charging. Cyberbullying through intimidation, spreading good names, and engineering images. Bullying behavior occurs in schools, at home, and in the neighborhood. The role of school counselors for the prevention and eradication through guidance and counseling programs. Keywords:  bullying, secondary school.

Abstract

The existence of Early Childhood Education is not only so that children are better prepared to learn at the elementary school level but so that children get intellectual, social, and emotional stimuli according to their age level. The existence of guidance and counseling in the Age of Education is needed because many problematic behaviors arise in students when they are adults caused by their past childhood. Abstract

Counseling skills are one of the component skills that should be possessed by the prospective counselor who studied in college. It requires learning skills sufficient for students to succeed in mastering the skills of counseling. This research aims to look at the description of the learning skills of the students in laboratory techniques and associated counseling. This research using a sample survey method in this research as much as 61 students and active learning in the semester V and took an engineering laboratory course counseling. The analysis of the data using simple statistical analysis. The results showed that the picture quality of students learning skills is at a high of 90.16% category.

Abstract

This study aimed to see the effectiveness of group counseling service model using psychodrama technique to improve the self-confidence of students at SMP N 1 Indralaya. This study used a quantitative research method which is Quasi-Experiment. To measure the effectiveness of group counseling service model using psychodrama technique to improve the self-confidence of grade VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya. The design used is the researcher is pre-experimental: one group pretest-posttest design. The Wilcoxon test results also show the group counseling model using the psychodrama technique developed effectively to improve the student self-confidence by 0.005, because the value 0.005 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a difference between pretest-posttest, so it can be concluded that there is an influence on the use of psychodrama technique method in group counseling to self-confidence.Keywords:  group counseling, psychodrama techniques, self-confidence.
