Abstract

Bullying behavior because the victim experiences poverty or physical disability. The impact of bullying is self-esteem and affects maturity in students. School counselors have a role for skills, as well as collaborative efforts with the Peer Guidance approach. The method used in peer guidance training: (1) education, (2) training, (3) forum group discussion, and (4) brainstorming. Peer guidance to train actors to have empathy for the whole individual skills to listen, guide, reflection, conclude, confrontation, interpreating, and support. Peer guidance skills are used by students, offenders, or victims to prevent bullying.Keywords: berhaviour, bullying, peer guidance

Abstract

Bullying behavior is harmful to the perpetrator and the victim. The goal of this research to identify the forms of bullying and locations of bullying. Descriptive study with bullying behavior scale instrument on 300 students and analyzed descriptively. The findings that bullying behavior is verbal, physical, relational, and cyber. Verbal bullying behavior through angry, mocking, laughing, cursing, and make friends. Relational bullying through gossip, excommunication, seniority, gangs, and sneers. Bullying is physically by grabbing, hitting, fighting, and charging. Cyberbullying through intimidation, spreading good names, and engineering images. Bullying behavior occurs in schools, at home, and in the neighborhood. The role of school counselors for the prevention and eradication through guidance and counseling programs. Keywords:  bullying, secondary school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the condition of resilience of students of the Ahmad Dahlan University Guidance and Counseling Study Program. This research is a type of quantitative research with descriptive methods. The instrument used in this study is a resilience scale. The resilience scale consists of 25 items that have gone through a series of trials and have the value of the moving item item validity from 0.45 to 0.70, with a reliability value of 0.773 which is included in the high reliability. Subjects in this study amounted to 105 students of the Ahmad Dahlan University Guidance and Counseling Study Program taken using purposive sampling technique. The findings of this study show that as many as 69 or 65% of students are in the high resilience category, 33 or 31% of students are in the medium category, and as many as 3 or 4% of students are in a low categorization. The results of this study are useful for lecturers, and college counselors as consideration for facilitating students in developing individual resilienceKey Word : Resilience and Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

Professional guidance and counseling services are based on a comprehensive guidance and counseling program. Professional counselors were able to implement the program of group guidance based assessment prior to program implementation with four competencies, (1) personality, (2) paedagogy, (3) social, and (4) professional. This article discusses the effectiveness of group guidance services through folklore. The fundamental goal of folklore as a medium of group guidance services is the history of the past can foster National Character. The research approach uses literature study. The analysis through descriptive analysis. The findings show that process of group guidance services through the opening stage, intermediate, core activities, and termination. Folklore as the primary basis of group guidance services carried out on the core activities. Folklore presented by the counselor as a group leader and discussed by members with leader of the group to develop a National Character. Folklore in the process of group counseling is effective in order to grow a national character that corresponds to the origin of the formation of the Nation.DOI: https://doi.org/10.24071/ijiet.2018.020105

Abstract

Sebuah skala yang berasal dari luar negeri saat akan digunakan di Indonesia membutuhkan adaptasi agar sesuai dengan karakteristik responden di Indonesia.Studi ini dilakukan untuk mengadaptasi Skala Connor-Davidson (CD-RISC) ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Responden penelitian ini sebanyak 303 mahasiswa yang berasal dari Universitas yang berada di Propinsi Yogyakarta,Sulawesi Tenggara,Sulawesi Barat,Kalimantan Timur,Sulawesi Utara,Sulawesi Tengah dan Nusa Tenggara Timur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Alfa Cronbach sebesar 0.90.Nilai reliebelitas aitem sebesar 0.92 dan nilai reliabelitas person sebesar 0.88.Berdasarkan perhitungan model rasch, skala adaptasi ini memiliki syarat yang memadai untuk digunakan sebagai intrumen penelitian atau pengukuran.

Abstract

Diversity in Indonesia raises the tolerance problem. The research goal to find guidance and counseling services right to develop character tolerance. Research and development approach used in research. Research and development steps include preliminary study, development hypothetical group guidance model-based folklore, validation of expert judgment and expert practitioners, experimental test form group guidance model-based folklore on a limited basis — descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative in research analysis. The findings show Aspects of peace and mutual respect for students in the low category, during the self-awareness of students in the high category. School counselor role in group guidance services for prevention, development, understanding, and distribution of tolerance character. Tolerance characters appear in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions with indicators of peace, respect for differences and individuals, and awareness. Group guidance model-based folklore methods is the right solution for the internalization of character tolerance trough limited test with indicate that there was a significant change in tolerance level after the experimental analysis.

Abstract

Aggressive behavior expressed by adolescents is a worrying phenomenon. There might be circumstances underlying this aggression, such as adaptive or maladaptive emotional conditions. To study the role of emotion regulation toward aggression on adolescents, the researchers performed quantitative correlational research toward 943 secondary school students in the Special Province of Yogyakarta. Data was collected using an emotion regulation scale and an aggression scale. The data was then examined using multiple regression analysis to observe the correlation among variables. The result of this research shows that emotion regulation significantly influences the development of aggression. Further analysis of two strategies on emotion regulation shows that excessive emotion suppression affects the development of aggression, while emotion regulation through cognitive appraisal does not. The implication of this research is emotion regulation through emotion suppression has a more significant influence on the development of aggression on adolescents compared to cognitive appraisal. The stronger emotion suppression method is employed, the higher the level of aggression might be developed.

Abstract

AbstrakPendidikan karakter di sekolah bagian integral dari program penguatan karakter. Karakter toleransi berfungsi untuk menumbuhkan kompetensi multikultural siswa. Fenomena kasus intoleransi perlu dicegah melalui pengembangan pendidikan karakter di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian untuk menemukan butir-butir pernyataan yang valid dan reliabel pada instrumen skala karakter toleransi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan rancangan transformatif sekuensial. Intrument penelitian ini melalui studi dokumentasi beruapa analisis teks, wawancara, dan survei. Analisis penelitian menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif tentang kajian jurnal dan buku sebagai studi dokumentasi, forum group dicussion penentuan butir-butir pernyataan dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dari hasil uji beda untuk mengetahui validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen karakter toleransi. Temuan mengungkap konsep dan operasionalisasi skala karakter toleransi melalui tiga aspek, yaitu (1) aspek kedamaian meliputi indikator  peduli, ketidaktakutan, dan cinta, (2) aspek menghargai perbedaan dan individu meliputi indikator saling menghargai satu sama lain, menghargai perbedaan orang lain, dan menghargai diri sendiri, serta (3) aspek kesadaran meliputi indikator menghargai kebaikan orang lain, terbuka, reseptif, kenyamanan dalam kehidupan, dan kenyamanan dengan orang lain. Skala karakter toleransi memiliki 39 butir pernyataan yang valid. Koefisien reliabilitas skala karakter toleransi adalah 0,777 yang termasuk dalam kategori reliabilitas tinggi. Skala karakter toleransi dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat karakter toleransi.Kata Kunci: Karakter Toleransi AbstractCharacter education in schools an integral part of the character strengthening programs. Tolerance character serves to foster multicultural competence in students. The phenomenon of intolerance cases should be prevented through the development of character education in schools. The goal of research to find a grain of valid and reliable statements on the instrument scale tolerance character. This research uses mixed methods approach. Design research uses sequential transformative design. Instrument this research through documentation study in form of text analysis, interview, and survey. Research analysis used qualitative descriptive analysis about study of journals and books as documentation studies, and forum group discussion for the determination of statement items and quantitative descriptive analysis from different test results to know validity and reliability of instrument tolerance character. The findings reveal the concept and operationalization of tolerant character scale through three aspects: (1) peace aspects include indicators care, fear, and love, (2) value diversity and individual aspects include indicators respect each other, respect differences of others, and respect ourselves, and (3) awareness aspects include indicators of appreciating the goodness of others, open, receptive, comfort in life, and comfort with others. Tolerance character scale has 39 valid statement items. Tolerance character scale reliability coefficient is 0.777 which was included in category of high reliability. Scale tolerance character can be used to identify the level of tolerance character.Keywords: Character Tolerance

Abstract

Tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa Nabi Muhmmad SAW adalah panutan bagi umat islam. Bahkan dalam mendidikan anak sebaiknya umat islam mengikuti cara-cara nabi dalam mendidik anak. Pendidikan anak merupakan hal penting yang harus dilakukan oleh orang tua. Karena permasalahan yang dialami manusia tidak dapat dipisahkan dari pendidikan awal diamana dia pertama kalimendapatkan pendidikan. Saat ini banyak orang tua yang mendidik anak mengikuti cara-cara pendidikan barat padahal sebaiknya sebagai umat islam hendaknya lebih memilih pendidikan anak melalui cara-cara nabi dibandingkan dengan metode pendidikan anak melalui metode pendidikan barat. Pendidikan anak yang dilakukan oleh nabi telah terbukti menghasilkan anak-anak yang cakap dalam banyak hal terutama baik dalam perilaku, kuat dalam hal akidah atau keyakinan.
