Abstract

Objective of the research was to study the effect of NPK Pelangi and Humega Crumblers fertilizers, as well as their interaction on the growth of oil palm seedling.  The research was carried out in Sabintulung Village, Muarakaman Sub Disctrict of Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan Province.  It took about 4 months from January to April 2012.  The Completely Randomised Design was employed for this research with factorial 4 x 4 and 3 replications.  The first factor was NPK Pelangi fertilizer application (p), consisted of 4 sub factors: No NPK Pelangi fertilizer application (p0), 30 g NPK Pelangi (p1), 60 g NPK Pelangi (p2), 90 g NPK Pelangi (p3).  And the second factor was application of Humega Crumblers fertilizer (h), consisted of 4 factors : No Humega Crumblers (h0), 20 g Humega Crumblers (h1), 40 g Humega Crumblers (h2), and 60 g Humega Crumblers (h3).  Results of the research revealed that the application of NPK Pelangi affect significantly on the increment of stem diameter at 10 weeks old after planting,  increment of petiole number at 14 weeks old, and number of fully open leaves (pinnate) at 14 weeks old.  But it did not affect significantly on the increment of seedling height at 6 and 10 weeks old after planting, and increment of stem diameter at 6 and 14 weeks old, and increment of petiole number at 6 and 10 weeks old.  The application of Humega Crumbles gave significant effect on the increment of stem diameter at 10 weeks old after planting, and the increment of petiole number at 14 weeks old, but it did not affect significantly on the increment of seedling height at 6, 10 and 14 weeks old after planting, increment of stem diameter at 6 and 14 weeks old, the increment of petiole number at 6 and 10 weeks old, and number of fully open leaves at 14 weeks old.  Meanwhile, the interactions between NPK Pelangi and Humega Crumbles fertilizers did not affect significantly on all parameters observed.

Abstract

Analisis Finansial Usahatani Pembibitan Buah Durian Lokal (Durio zibethinus L.) Pada Tingkat Kelompok Tani Kecamatan Barong Tongkok Kabupaten Kutai Barat. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah  (1) Untuk mengetahui tahapan usaha pembibitan buah Durian lokal yang diusahakan oleh masyarakat di Kecamatan Barong Tongkok, Kabupaten Kutai Barat; (2) Untuk mengetahui kelayakan finansial usaha pembibitan Durian lokal di Kecamatan Barong Tongkok, Kabupaten Kutai Barat.Objek penelitian ini adalah petani di Kampung Ombau Asa dan Geleo Asa Kecamatan Barong Tongkok Kabupaten Kutai Barat Provinsi Kalimantan Timur, khususnya menyangkut pengelolaan, biaya produksi, produksi dan pendapatannya serta permasalahan yang ada.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan, dimulai Bulan Maret sampai dengan Bulan Mei 2014, dengan metode sensus kelompok tani di Kampung Ombau Asa dan Geleo Asa, dimana semua bibit tanaman sebanyak 110.000 bibit sebagai objek penelitian yang terdapat di pembibitan pada Kampung Ombau Asa dan Geleo Asa Kecamatan Barong Tongkok Kabupaten Kutai Barat.Analisis kelayakan finansial pada usaha pembibitan Durian Lokal di Kampung Ombau Asa dan Geleo Asa Kecamatan Barong Tongkok, menunjukan total biaya produksi sebesar Rp. 38.330.000, sedangkan penerimaan sebesar Rp. 150.000.000, dan keuntungan sebesar Rp. 111.670.000.Usahatani pembibitan Buah Durian Lokal di Kampung Ombau Asa dan Geleo Asa layak diusahakan. B/C rasio yang diperoleh sebesar 3,91, produktivitas produksi lebih besar dari BEP produksi yaitu 110.000 bibit > 5.679 bibit dan harga yang diterima oleh pemilik pembibitan lebih besar dari BEP harga yaitu Rp. 2.000 > Rp.348,45.

Abstract

Sugarcane orchid (Grammatophyllum speciosum Blume) are known as a type of giant orchid, adult orchids can weigh 1 ton, panicle can grow up to 2.5 – 3 meters with a diameter of about 1.5-2 cm. Each panicle has dozens, even reaching one hundred flower buds, each with a diameter of about one 10 cm. Sugarcane orchids are a type of plant that is protected because its existence is increasingly scarce so that it needs in vitro propagation techniques to support its survival. To improve the growth of Grammatophyllum speciosum Blume in vitro shoot tip was growing on MS medium with varying concentration of kinetin (0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 mg L-1) with 5 replications. Shoot tip from in vitro culture around 1 cm lengt was used as explants. Observations carried out for 8 weeks after inoculation.The results showed that shoot explants tip  growth well in MS basic medium. The addition of kinetin to the medium, increases growth rate of culture. Increasing the concentration of kinetin tends to increase the growth. The best concentration for growth induction on plant height, stem diameter,  leaves length and  length of roots was 2 mg.L-1 kinetin, On the other hand 3 mg.L-1 kinetin gave best response on number of leaves and 4  mg.L-1 kinetin was the best concentration on leaves width and number of roots.

Abstract

The experiment was conducted in the village of Tanjung Limau, Muara Badak Sub District  of Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan Province.  The purpose of the study was to determine the success of mangrove planting activity in the study area in the mangrove forest, and to identify factors that affect the rehabilitation of mangrove forests in study area.  Data was collected by creating a transect along 100m of land rehabilitation at three different locations based on the characteristics puddle.  Observations was carried out to observe and measure the height and diameter of the plant.  Data were recorded and measured at each transect include plant data (type of plant, number of living plants, plant height and growing conditions of the plants healthy).  Based on the observation and calculation of the percentage of growing plants was conducted on 20 plots, from mangrove rehabilitation activities carried out in 2009, in 2010 gained a growing percentage of the average of mangrove plants is ±78.18%.  While the results of crop assessment carried out in 2011 acquired the mangrove plants growing percentage average is ±66.40%.  From the comparison of measurements in 2011 with the results of measurements made in this study, there was a decrease in the percentage of mangrove plants grow on average is equal to ± 11.78%.  Based on the observations and calculations of the percentages obtained transect mangrove plants growing on average at 46%.  Based on these results it can be concluded that the success rate of rehabilitation of mangrove forests growing percentage decline in the number of mangrove plants.  From the results of measurements obtained in the field of plant height and diameter high average in each lane is as follows pathway 1 is the average height of 2.28 m and a diameter of 4.48cm, 2.61m and the second path average diameter average 4.03cm and the third lane average height of 1.91meters with an average diameter of 5.62cm.  High variation of different mangrove plants.

Abstract

The research objective were to study the effect of compost fertilizer and Nasa liquid organic fertilizer (POC Nasa) and its interaction on the growth and yield of cucumber and also to find the proper dosage of compost fertilizer and POC Nasa concentration for obtaining the best growth and yield of cucumber.The research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) in 4 x 4 Factorial Experiment and three replications.  The factor was the dosage of compost fertilizer (K) consisting of 4 levels : no compost fertilizer application (k0), 48 g polybag-1(k1), 64 g polybag-1 (k2); and 80g polybag-1(k3).   The second factor was the concentration of POC Nasa (D) consisting 4 levels : no POC Nasa application (d0), 1 ml l-1water (d1),  2 ml l-1water (d2), and 3 ml l-1water (d3).The results showed that: (1) the compost fertilizer treatment affected significantly on the weight of one fruit and the weight of fruit per plant, it affected very significantly on the plant lenght at age 15 and 30 days after planting, and fruit diameter, but it did not affect significantly on the number of fruit per plant.  The best production was produced at 48 g polybag-1 (k1) treatment of 3,77 kg plant-1, while the least one was produced at the 80 g polybag-1 (k3) treatment of 3,06 kg plant-1; (2)the POC Nasa treatment affected significantly on the weight of one fruit; and it affected very significanly on the plant lenght at age 30 days after planting and fruit diameter, but it did not affect significantly on the plant lenght at age 15 days after planting, number of fruit per plant, and fruit weight per plant;  and (3) the interaction treatment between compost fertilizer and POC Nasa affected significantly on the weight of one fruit and affected very significantly  on the fruit diameter, but did not affect significantly on the plant lenght at age 15 and 30 after planting, the number of fruit and fruit weight per plant.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of cow manure and egg plant varieties, and their interactions, as well as to find proper dosage of cow dung and a variety for better growth and production. The study was conducted from February to June 2013, in the village of New Melapeh Linggang Bigung Subdistrict, West Kutai.  The randomized design was employed for this study with a factorial 2 x 4 and 3 replications.  The first factor is the eggplant variety (V) which consists of two sub-factors: V1 (v1) and V2 (v2). And the second factor is the dose of cow manure (P), consists of four sub-factors: 0 tonnes/ha (p0), 5 tons/ha, equivalent to a 2:42 g/plot (p1), 10 tons/ha, equivalent to 4.85 g/plot (p2), and 15 tons/ha, equivalent to 7.62 g/plot (p3).The results showed that the best variety is V1, and the dose of cow manure affected significantly on the length of the plant at 15, 30, and 45 days after planting, the number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit diameter, affected significantly on the length of the fruit , but it does not affect significantly on the weight of fruit per plant.  The best production obtained by treatment of 15 tons/ha with a 7.26 g, and the least one is 5 tons/ha with a 2.42 g.Meanwhile, the interaction between the dose of cow manure and egg plan varieties affected very significantly on the length of the plant at 15 and 30 days after planting, affected significantlyon  the number of fruits per plant and fruit length, but it does not affect significantly on the length of the plant in 45 days after planting, fruit weight per plant and fruit diameter.

Abstract

This experiment aims to: (1) to study of the effect of concentration and application timing of Green Tonik foliar fertilizeras well as their interaction on the growth and yield of cucumber plants; and (2) to find proper concentration and application timing of Green Tonik foliar fertilizer for better growth and yield of cucumber plants.The experiment carried out from March 2016 to May 2016, in the Village of Muara Bengkal Ilir, Muara Bengkal Subdistrict, East Kutai District.  It applied Completely Randomized Block Design with factorial experiment 4 x 3 and three replications.  The first factor was the concentration of the Green Tonik  foliarfertilizer (K) consists of 4 levels, namely: no Green Tonik foliar fertilizer application (k0), 1 ml l-1 water(k1), 2 ml l-1 water(k2), and 3 ml l-1 water(k3). The second factor wasinterval of the application time of Green Tonik foliar fertilizer(W) consists of 3 levels: 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 days after planting (w1), 7, 14, 21, 28, and 35 days after planting (w2), and 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 days after planting (w3).Result of the experiment revealed that : (1) concentration of Green Tonik foliar fertilizer application was affected significantly to very significantly on plant lenght at 30 and 45 days after planting, days of plant flowered, number of fruits per plant, diameter of fruit, weight of one fruit, and production of fruits, but no significant on the plant lenght at 15 days after planting, and lenght of fruit.  The highest production of fruit is attained by the 2 ml l-1 water (k3), namely 54,67 Mg ha-1, In reverse, the least production is attained by without Green Tonik foliar fertilizer (k0), namely 24,00 Mg ha ̵ ¹; (2) interval of Green Tonik foliar fertilizer application time was no significant on the plant lenght at 15 and 45 days after planting, days of plant flowered, number of fruits per plant, lenght of fruit, diameter of fruit, weight of one fruit, and production of fruit, but affected significant on the plant lenght at 30 days after planting; and (3) interaction between concentration and application timing of Green Tonik foliar fertilizer was no significant on the all parameters observed.

Abstract

The Growth of Teak Plantation Forest in East Kalimantan. Teak is one of the most important tropical timber in the international timber market because of the various advantages it has and the type of wood that is very valuable for forestry plants. Teak has been known and cultivated for a long time, particularly in Java. In East Kalimantan, Teak has been developed by public and private companies , with a growth of diverse.The growth of teak stands in East Kalimantan in general showed a decline in growth with increasing stand age; diameter and height growth of stands highest in the early phase of growth in the range of 1-5 years of age, then decline gradually and growth has declined after the 12 year old stands; up to 12 year old stands generally teak growth in East Kalimantan showed growth (increment) in diameter and a height higher than the other locations teak plantation in Java.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui karakteristik sifat kimia tanah pada lahan original pra tambang dan pada lahan revegetasi pasca tambang yang mengalami ketidaknormalan petumbuhan tanaman dan yang pertumbuhannya normal.Metode penelitian menggunakan metode purposive sampling yaitu pengambilan sampel yang didasarkan pada pertimbangan umur pengolahan lahan revegetasi pasca tambang dengan jenis tanaman Jabon (Anthocephalus cadamba). Pengambilan sampel tanah mengikuti metode standar Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO 1976) yaitu pada kedalaman 0-30 dan 30-60 cm pada setiap titik pengamatan, selanjutnya dianalisis sifat kimia tanahnya dan akan dibandingkan. Analisis sifat kimia tanah dilakukan di Laboratorium Tanah Pusat Studi Reboisasi Hutan Tropika Humida (PUSREHUT), Fakultas Kehutanan, Universitas Mulawarman Samarinda.Berdasarkan hasil analisis sifat kimia tanah pada lahan original pra tambang dilokasi penelitian pada umumnya mempunyai nilai pH yang sangat rendah berkisar antara (4,12-3,71 H2O), C-organik sedang hingga sangat rendah berkisar antara (2,42-0,22 %), nitrogen rendah hingga sangat rendah berkisar antara (0,18-0,05 %), fosfor sangat rendah berkisar antara (4,27-0,22 ppm), kalium rendah hingga sangat rendah berkisar antara (0,15-0,07 meq/100 gr), natrium sangat rendah berkisar antara (0,02-0,01 meq/100 gr), magnesium rendah hingga sangat rendah berkisar antara (0,25-0,03 meq/100 gr), kalsium sangat rendah berkisar antaraa (0,14-0,04 meq/100 gr), kapasitas tukar kation sangat rendah berkisar antara (9,96-3,04 meq/100 gr), kejenuhan basa sangat rendah berkisar antara (8,11-2,08 %) dan kejenuhan aluminium yang tinggi hingga sangt tinggi berkisar antar (56,59-72,26 %).Adapun sifat kimia tanah pada lahan revegetasi pasca tambang dilokasi penelitian baikpada tanaman yang mengalami ketidaknormalan pertumbuhan dan yang pertumbuhanya normal tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan kecuali magnesium yang mempunyai nilai tergolong sedang dan kejenuhan basa mempunyai nilai yang tergolong tinggi pada tanaman yang pertumbuhanya normal,berikut rinciannya nilai pH berkisar antara (4,09-4,53 H2O), C-organiK berkisar antara (0,44-1,27 %), nitrogen berkisar antara (0,08-0,10 %), fosforberkisar antara (0,22-2,50 ppm), kalium berkisar antara (0,11-0,15 meq/100 gr), natrium berkisar antara (0,00-0,02 meq/100 gr), magnesium berkisar antara (0,15-1,89 meq/100 gr), kalsium berkisara antara (0,05-1,29 meq/100 gr), KTK berkisar antara (4,50-6,12 meq/100 gr), dan kejenuhan aluminium berkisar antara (23,76-76,83).

ANALISIS PERMINTAAN IKAN SEGAR DI DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTADemand Analysis of fresh fish in Daerah Istimewa YogyakartaRr. Tri GunartiningrumSekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian (STIPER) Kutai TimurSangatta ABSTRACTFish are the source of animal protein which are needed by human beings for their intellectual growth and development, especially for who are still in the growth period. The demand of fish is more increasing within society’s awareness to consume food with hight nutritious and protein. This research was aimed to identity: 1) factor influencing the demand of fresh fish 2) commodities which have substitution and complementary relation toward demand of fresh fish and 3) trend of fish’s demand in 2003-2007 inDaerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. The research employed basic descriptive analysis. The secondary data of time series were collected from many sources. The multiple regression was used to analyse factor that influenced demand of fresh and trend analysis was used to know trend of demand. Research results showed factors influencing demand fresh-water fish are: socienty’s income, number of household’s head, price of fresh-water fish, price of salt-water fish, price of chiken, and price of rice. Factors influencing the demand of salt-water fish were number of household’s head price of fresh-water fish, price of salt-water fish and price of chiken. Based on the trend analysis, it was found that for the next five years, the demand of fish in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta will get more increasing.Key words : Demand, Substitution, Complementary.
