Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efficiency of a journal by examining the correlation between the number of researchers associated with the journal and the expenses borne by researchers for publication concerning the scientific strengths achieved. The analysis is conducted through the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach. The data for scientific journal articles is collected from the metadata of Scopus, and WoS (Web of Science) was indexed in SINTA 1. Meanwhile, the APC (Article publication charge) data was obtained from the journal website. The input variables include the author, the editorial team, and the APC. In contrast, the output variables in this study are the scientific strength (publications and citations) generated. The study showed that the SINTA 1 journal indexed in Scopus and WoS with a DEA value of 1,000 was Operations and Supply Chain Management: An International Journal. The DEA value for journals indexed in Scopus and WoS is greater compared to the DEA value of journals indexed in WoS, as opposed to the DEA value of journals indexed in Scopus, but the difference is small.

Abstract

Numerous bibliometric investigations have been carried out in Indonesia, primarily relying on publication data indexed exclusively in Scopus. This study aims to leverage scientific publication data from the Indonesian Scientific Journal Database (ISJD) by constructing an interactive visualization dashboard for the analysis of Indonesian scientific publications. This dashboard is expected to become an additional reference for researchers in the field of bibliometrics. The stages of making this dashboard consist of Identification of visualization needs referring to previous research; data feasibility check; data correction and update; data visualization; and evaluation to assess the correctness of the data and the resulting visualization. Evaluation results indicate that the dashboard's analysis system is functioning effectively, offering diverse analysis options. Nonetheless, the system has limitations related to data quality in ISJD, necessitating improvements in terms of completeness, appropriateness, and data updates. Future research will enhance the dashboard by incorporating citation analysis calculations to evaluate the performance of authors and journals.

Abstract

The Legal Division of PT. ABC has implemented EDMS using the Integrated Legal Document Management Application, Centralized Legal Administration System (CLAS), to make the management of documents more accessible. The urgency is the system's accuracy in retrieving data or document input. The study employed a quantitative method with an experimental approach. Data collection techniques were observation, application search tests, documentation, and literature. Data analysis regarding the recall, precision, and F-measure calculation formulas will be compared with the standard information retrieval system effectiveness. The calculation results show that the average recall value for the search equals 1 or 100%. For the precision value that uses quotation marks, it is equal to 0.9713, while for searching without quotation marks, it is equal to 0.3920. From these results, the precision value is lower than the recall value. The precision value of 0.9713 is in the range of 0.68–1.00, which is placed as high precision, meaning that information retrieval is effective. The F-measure value is 0.98, close to 1, so the tracing system is sound. CLAS is quite effective in retrieving information according to user needs.
