Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Pengaruh Penerapan Sistem Informasi Akademik terhadap Kualitas Layanan Akademik Mahasiswa di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Diponegoro. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui sistem informasi akademik, mengetahui pengaruh penerapan sistem informasi akademik terhadap kualitas layanan akademik, dan mengetahui besar pengaruh variabel sistem informasi akademik terhadap kualitas layanan akademik di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Diponegoro. Metode penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan perpaduan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Pengolahan hasil kuesioner selanjutnya dikaji dengan wawancara. Hasil kuesioner diuji dengan uji reliabilitas, uji validitas, uji regresi, uji determinasi, dan uji hipotesis. Teknik pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan SPSS 18. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa sistem informasi akademik di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik merupakan sistem berbasis web yang dapat diakses melalui loket fakultas maupun secara online. Sistem ini memudahkan mahasiswa dalam mengakses informasi akademik, dan sebagai alat temu balik informasi akademik yang cepat. Dari hasil pengolahan dan analisis data kuesioner didapatkan hasil bahwa variabel sistem informasi akademik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas layanan akademik di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Diponegoro. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari uji T, yaitu dengan membandingkan t-tabel dan t-hitung dengan a= 5%. Hasilnya ada pengaruh signifikan antara sistem informasi akademik dengan signifikan terhadap kualitas layanan akademik, dengan t-hitung (3,833) lebih besar dari t-tabel (1,669). Artinya semakin baik sistem informasi akademik maka kualitas layanan akademik akan semakin meningkat.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan mengetahui: (1) ketentuan umum penyelenggaraan konferensi dan penerbitan prosiding hasil konferensi; (2) jumlah prosiding ber-ISSN yang terbit di Indonesia; (3) upaya pengembangan penyelenggaraan e-conference dan penerbitan e-proceeding di Indonesia; dan (4) tahapan pengelolaan e-conference dengan OCS. Kajian ini deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersumber dari studi literatur dan praktik.  Hasil kajian ini, yaitu: (1) dalam pengelolaan prosiding, penyelenggara konferensi harus memperhatikan lingkup konferensi dan ketentuan penerbitan prosiding, baik untuk skala nasional maupun internasional; (2) jumlah penerbitan prosiding di Indonesia relatif masih rendah, terlihat pada jumlah terbitan prosiding ber-ISSN hanya sejumlah 997 prosiding dan dari jumlah tersebut hanya diketahui sekitar 63 prosiding yang sudah diterbitkan dalam versi online; (3) pemerintah dan penyelenggara konferensi perlu berupaya keras dan memiliki komitmen yang tinggi untuk menggalakan penyelenggaraan e-conference  dan penerbitan e-proceeding di Indonesia; dan (4) pengelolaan e-conference dengan OCS membutuhkan sumber daya organisasi yang memadai dan perencanaan yang matang agar menghasilkan publikasi yang berkualitas.ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe and determine: (1) the general provisions of the conference and the proceeding publication of conference resulting; (2) the number of proceedings had ISSN that published in Indonesia; (3) efforts to develop the conference holding and e-proceedings publication in Indonesia; and (4) the management steps of e-conference with OCS. This study was descriptive qualitative approach sourced from literature and practice. The results of this study: (1) in management of proceedings, the conference organizers have to see the conference scope and the provisions of proceedings publication, both for national and international scale; (2) the number of proceedings publishing in Indonesia was low relatively, there are seen in the publication number of ISSN proceedings only 997 proceedings and of that number known to about 63 proceedings only that have been published in the online version; (3) the government and the conference organizers have to work and have a commitment hardly to promote the e-conferencing holding and e-proceedings publishing in Indonesia; and (4) management of e-conference with OCS needs adequate organization resources and obvious planning in order to produce a qualified publication

Abstract

Terbitan berkala merupakan media yang digunakan untuk menyalurkan ide, gagasan ataupun hasil penelitian yang kemudian diberi identitas unik menggunakan issn, nomor yang terdiri dari delapan digit angka yang diterbitkan oleh Pusat Nasional ISSN Indonesia dalam hal ini adalah PDDI-LIPI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan issn terbitan berkala di Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif dan studi literatur. Sumber data diperoleh dari Portal ISSN internasional dan dokumen pustaka yang kemudian diolah dan dianalisis. Secara umum kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu ISSN terbitan berkala di Indonesia menunjukkan angka pertumbuhan pada tiap tahunnya dan menduduki posisi ke-10 dari 90 Pusat ISSN di dunia. Salah satu faktor perkembangan ISSN terbitan berkala di Indonesia yaitu adanya perhatian dari pemerintah terhadap karya publikasi dengan menerbitkan peraturan-peraturan yang relevan dan mendukung serta mengembangkan sistem guna meningkatkan kuantitas dan kualitas terbitan berkala di Indonesia.ABSTRACTPeriodicals are media which are used to share ideas, concept or research that are given a unique identity using ISSN, a number consists of eight-digit numbers published by the Indonesian National Center for ISSN, PDDI-LIPI. This study aims to determine the development of periodical publications in Indonesia. The research method was qualitative with a descriptive analysis approach and literature study. The data sources were obtained from the international ISSN Portal and library documents which were processed and analyzed. In general, the conclusion of this study points out that the ISSN periodicals publication in Indonesia growth each year and occupies the 10th position out of 90 ISSN Centers in the world. One of the factors that made the development of ISSN periodicals in Indonesia is the attention of the government to the work of publications by publishing relevant regulations and supporting and developing systems to improve the quantity and quality of periodicals in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to know deeply about BACA: Documentation and Information Journal published during 2015-2019. The aspects of the study are the distribution of articles, number of pages, authorship patterns, citation numbers, and form of visualization. This bibliometric research obtained data in http://jurnalbaca.pdii.lipi.go.id, which was then processed and analyzed using Ms. Excel, Publish or Perish (PoP) and VOSviewer application. The study showed that this journal has a frequency of publication 2 times a year (June and December) and has published 71 articles during 2015-2019, with 30 single authors (42.25%) and 41 collaborative authors (57.75). The number of writers who contributed during the period was 146 people both single and collaborative, and in 2019 there were 20 article titles with the largest number of authors 46 people (31.51%). Distribution of articles based on publication numbers during the period, namely issue 1 (June) published as many as 34 articles (47.89%) and issue 2 (December) published as many as 37 articles (52.11%) with a total of 975 pages with an average of 11-15 pages. This journal has 30 citations, an annual citation 6.00, a written citation 0.42, h-index 2, g-index 2, hI, norm 2, and hla 0.40. The strength of the network between the authors and the frequency of collaboration can be seen in VosViewer’s visualization.

Abstract

Pustakawan dituntut untuk senantiasa meningkatkan kompetensi dan profesionalisme dalam melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya. Hal tersebut dimaksudkan agar pustakawan dapat berkompetisi dan berkolaborasi dengan profesi informasi yang lain, khususnya untuk memajukan dunia kepustakawanan. Kompetensi dan profesionalisme menjadi hal terpenting bagi pustakawan di perpustakaan khusus dalam menjaga dan meningkatkan eksistensi mereka di lingkungan pekerjaannya. Dengan kompetensi yang memadai dan bekerja secara profesional, citra pustakawan dapat diubah menjadi lebih baik karena selama ini masyarakat masih menganggap pustakawan hanya sebagai tenaga teknis dan administrasi perpustakaan. Melalui peningkatan kompetensi dan profesionalisme, pustakawan dapat meningkatkan derajatnya sebagai tenaga profesional perpustakaan yang mampu berperan aktif dalam setiap aktivitas lembaga induknya. Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut, diperlukan beberapa strategi yang tepat, yaitu (1) meningkatkan kinerja secara berkesinambungan, (2) membangun komunikasi internal secara efektif, (3) menggagas ide-ide inovatif perpustakaan, (4) mengikuti program sertifikasi pustakawan, dan (5) melakukan pengembangan karier profesional.

Journal accreditation program aims to improve the quality and quantity of publications in the scientific community so as to competitiveness on the international scientific periodicals. This study aims to: (1) describe the journals that have been accredited by LIPI and Higher Education, which is viewed from the aspect field of science, the agency issuing, and the city of an issue; and 2) know the effort in preparing for publication journal managers become accredited and reputable international journals. Data sourced from literature studies, in the form of regulatory documents, articles, papers and presentations related to the accreditation of scientific periodicals. The data were analyzed descriptively. The conclusion of this study, namely: (1) 362 accredited journals, from LIPI total of 190 journals and 172 journals a number of Higher Education; the number of accredited journals is considered still relatively very small (only about 5.17%) when compared to the total number of indexed journals Indonesia ISJD (about 7000 journals); (2) accredited journals LIPI and DIKTI mostly from the city of Jakarta (of 113 journals, or 31.22%) to the science of Agriculture Veterinary Medicine and the Environment (43 accredited journals LIPI) and the health sector (34 accredited journal Higher Education); (3) the agency issuing the journal mostly from ministries agencies (134 journals or 70.53%) and university (99 journals or 57.56%); and (4) journal managers should immediately publish the journal in electronic version by paying attention to scientific principles in order to get the title of accredited and reputable international journals.Keywoords : Journal, Journal acreditation, International Journal, Open Jounrnal System, LIPI, DIKTI

Abstract

Interaction between one person and another can take place effectively if communication is established in two directions so that messages and information conveyed can be well received and a reciprocal process occurs between one person to another. The communication process happens to everyone, with no exception for people with visual impairments. This study aims to determine the experience of people with visual impairments in communicating with others by utilizing information and communication technology, namely smartphones through the talkback application. Information is taken from the perspective of blind people who experience total blindness and blind people with low vision. The study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, with data collection through in-depth interviews, observation and literature study. Data validity is done through source triangulation techniques. The results of the study concluded that TalkBack is very helpful for people with visual impairments to be able to use smartphones and communicate through WhatsApp applications. It is known that the interpretation of messages received by people with visual impairments is influenced by other factors, for blind people from birth in addition to the role of TalkBack, the touch and audio experience of video messages becomes quite important in interpreting a message and information. In blind people due to accidents, stored memory of experiences of seeing before experiencing blindness is one important part in interpreting messages from WhatsApp, and blind people with low vision conditions, visual vision is very helpful for them in interpreting messages and information received.

Abstract

Abstract The development of information and communication technology makes all things we need is more practical and easy. For example, ordering or booking ticket for cinema through an application. It is an example of the application of technology that is used to attract the number of buyers by service providers. The easy access on getting product or item is the desire of every consumer. The entry of technology changes the patterns of consumer behaviour from manual to digital or online. The service provider of online cinema ticket provides some features which can attract and will be the important thing for some buyers. The changing of ticket sales through application will definitely change ticket sales figures. This study aims to determine the factors which influence audience buying interest through the online cinema ticket application. The method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection is done through interviews with viewers who use the online ticket booth application in buying tickets in the mall jatinangor town square. The results showed several factors that influence the interest in buying tickets using the application, namely time efficiency, promos and discounts, the latest films available (coming soon), the opportunity to get bigger tickets, can determine the choice of seats, avoid the queue, easy to use in transactions.

Abstract

The use of WhatsApp as media of communication is expected to facilitate people in doing remote interaction between person and community. Every people can set a privacy of chat on WhatsApp. However, people have several perceptions on it because it can be a symbol which has certain meaning. There are some people who are intentionally activate the privacy settings and some do not. Communication is established whether it remains effective or is hampered by chat privacy settings because someone cannot find out their online status, read messages or not. The purpose of this study is to determine the motives of privacy settings for whatsapp user chat in interpersonal communication. The study uses qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The data collection is conducted through interviews with 13 whatsapp users who activated the chat privacy feature. It is taken from whatsapp researchers' friend contact. The results of the study on the motives of whatsapp chat privacy settings produce 2 main concepts, first is privacy (personal) which has 4 sub concepts (free, does not want others to be disappointed, so that others do not wait for an immediate answer, and important matters), and those second is work that has 2 sub concepts (business activities and office affairs).
