Abstract

Naskah atau manuskrip kuno telah menjadi perhatian pemerintah pusat dan daerah Republik Indonesia. Banyaknya naskah-naskah kuno yang tidak sempat lagi untuk dilestarikan menjadi alasan kuat akan perhatian tersebut. Perpustakaan yang memang salah satu perannya sebagai tempat pelestarian bahan pustaka dituntut agar dapat mengoptimalkan peran tersebut, khususnya pada koleksi naskah kuno. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya dan kendala yang dihadapi oleh BPAD Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dalam pelestarian naskah kuno. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yakni untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai fakta-fakta tentang bagaimana upaya dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelestarian naskah kuno di BPAD Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan  dengan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data kualitatif dalam mengolah tiap-tiap data yang diperolah dari lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa upaya yang dilakukan oleh BPAD Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dalam melestarikan naskah kuno yaitu laminasi, fumigasi, alih media ke dalam bentuk microfilm serta transliterasi dan terjemahan. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelestarian naskah kuno antara lain kurangnya sumber daya manusia (SDM) dalam bidang transliterasi dan terjemahan, anggaran, serta sarana dan prasarana yang tidak memadai untuk proses pengembangan dalam pelestarian naskah kuno.Abstract : Efforts have been done by Badan Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah Sulawesi Selatan (Regional Library and Archive Institution of South Sulawesi) in order to preserve its all manuscripts tcollections. The current study is aimed to discover and describe those efforts and barriers faced by its institution in preserving and conservating their manuscripts collections. The qualitative approach was used. Some informan were selected to answer structure questions regarding its focus study. The study found that lamination, fumigation, and repackaging manuscripts into digital object were the general tasks done by its librarians. In addition, transliteration and translation were also duties for the librarians. Some barriers challenged by the library were human resources who can understand the content of the manuscripts, fund, and facilities that can be used to support its works. However, the library has been put some valuable efforts to keep all manuscripts well.

Abstract

The satisfaction of library users is an indication to know how successful a library in giving good services. It is involved in the way how communication is being conducted and librarian behave to guide, direct, and provide information to its users. From here, library can show its roles when facing information technology today. The development of information technology has given a chance for library to develop its online retrieval system in which it can be used to help user to find the needed information. It is therefore important to note by all libraries around the world to consider today environment that the technology has been involved in many kind of human activities, including in library routines. Due to a library is a service organization, the main aim is to give good services and satisfying library users. One effort is IRS, Information Retrieval System.

Abstract

The main problem of scientific journals development among Islamic colleges, both PTKIN and PTKIS, is a matter of managerial capacity or management of a scientific journal. During this time, it iss recognized that the spirit of journal publishing is high, but it ss not followed by managerial skills. It means there were a lot of publishing institutions that publish scientific journals but could not continue well, therefore these published journals considered as only a memorial thing and introduction, moreover there is an obligation to publish an online journal and accreditation instrument that also conducted by online through the portal of ARJUNA DIKTI that becomes opportunity and challenge for managers of scientific journals in the colleges both human resources and infrastructure. This article tries to answer how the position, potention and opportunities PTKIN’s journals in the online journal era

Abstract

As the organizer of Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta (UAJY), offering to UAJY’s librarians to get chance to switch profession from administrative to become librarian in which the candidate should of course be qualified by YSR. The objective of this conversion is to enhance library services. Librarian is not just about “book keepers” as many people defined, but its profession is expected to give proactive service to the end-users. FJP in UAJY has attracted librarians who have already been working in the library to re-consider on their profession. UAJY’s librarians demanded advanced services and reward based on what was signed in UU No. 43 Tahun 2007 tentang Perpustakaan.

Abstract

Pustakawan dalam era teknologi informasi ini perlu mempersiapkan diri dalam menghadapi era perpustakaan digital. Kemampuan dalam beradaptasi dengan lingkungan ini amat diperlukan karena pemustaka sendiri tentunya  mengharapkan layanan yang berorientasi pada teknologi maju sehingga keakuratan data dan kecepatan informasi dapat diperoleh. Khususnya pada perpustakaan yang melayani lembaga perguruan tinggi akan selalu berkembang baik jumlah koleksi, fasilitas maupun pengembangan profesionalisme para pustakawan. Dalam mendukung aktivitas  kegiatan ini perpustakaan  diharapkan akan selalu sigap dalam menyiapkan kebutuhan pemustaka sehingga koleksi yang disediakan mampu mengimbangi kebutuhan informasi yang diperlukan.

Abstract

Information and communication technology (ICT) has been undoubtly applied in all fields of life. It provides variety of services in which it is dependent on user needs. The Kantor Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah (the District Library and Archieve of Pangkep) has been implementing ICT to enhance its services to the citizens of Pangkep. INSLISLite was choosen as its automted library system. The current study investigates how INLIS lite has been implemented in the library, what were the challanges the library faced, and the floating library services of KPAD. The data were collected throughout the representative informans. The study found that INLIS lite needed to be more optimized, the challenges were human resources and budgetary, and the floating library has played important roles to educate the Pangkep island citizens.

Abstract

Saat ini kajian bibliometrika banyak dilakukan untuk memahami kebutuhan, pola penggunaan dan perilaku penggunaan informasi khususnya penelitian dalam bidang Perpustakaan dan Informasi dalam upaya mengembangkan organisasi informasi. Penulisan sitiran merupakan kajian yang sangat penting dalam ilmu bibliometrika. Dari analisis sitiran dapat dilakukan berbagai kajian yang sangat bermanfaat bagi kebijakan riset, kebijakan lembaga atau perguruan tinggi. Masalah sitir-menyitir harus mulai disosialisasikan di Indonesia terutama bagi para peneliti, dosen dan staf pengajar, penulis lainnya khususnya dalam kajian Ilmu Perpustakaan.

Abstract

Delima merupakan buah yang mengandung banyak kekayaan anti oksidan dan juga dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif dan bahan obat-obatan alami. Dari sudut pandang ilmu kesehatan pada masa lalu, delima termasuk dalam buah-buahan yang baik untuk kesehatan karena manfaatnya yang dapat mengobati beberapa jenis penyakit. Penelitian ini membahas tentang tren pada publikasi-publikasi mengenai delima. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada analisis konten, khususnya pada publikasi-publikasi penting tentang delima. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 85,5 persen penelitian-penelitian yang membahas tentang delima banyak terbit dalam bentuk jurnal artikel. Metode penelitan yang banyak digunakan pada penelitian-penelitian tersebut ialah analisis ilmiah (penelitian laboratori). Kajian mengenai aspek keilmuan dibagi menjadi tujuh bagian di antaranya diskusi ilmiah tentang delima yaitu farmasi, ilmu makanan, botani, biomedis, biokimia dan mikrobiologi. Hanya satu kajian yang fokus pada analisis keislaman yaitu pada sektor Pendidikan Islam. Bidang lainnya mengenai Lingkungan Pendidikan (Tumbuh-tumbuhan) juga terdapat pada penelitian ini yaitu dimaksudkan untuk mengumpulkan data dan menemukan hasil tentang tumbuh-tumbahan delima.Abstract : Pomegranates are an antioxidant-rich superfood with alternative and natural medicine resources for the natural health community. From the perspective of ancient medical practice, pomegranate is in a highest ranking of healthy fruits because of its diverse beneficial in curing diseases. Trend research publications pomegranates were studied. The study focused on content analysis, especially in the field of primary research on pomegranate. Referring to the results of 'literature review' on pomegranate, researchers found that the majority of previous research on pomegranate dominated by journal articles by 85.5 percent. Research on the method of analysis conducted in the previous studies found that most studies on pomegranate done on a scientific analysis (laboratory studies). Studies on aspects of science has been divided into seven areas. Focus areas include scientific discussion of pomegranate is pharmaceutical, Food Science, Botany, Bio-Medical, Bio-Chemistry and Microbiology. Only one field of study that focuses on the analysis of Islamic view focusing on Islamic Education. Additional fields of Environmental Education (Flora) are also included by researchers to collect data and find a results on plants that contain pomegranate. Comparative evaluation of research found that a total of 188 kinds of studies involves the study of the scientific aspects compared to only 11 studies based on Islam (Islamic Education) and 10 studies based on environmental education. Thus, the efforts of researchers from Universiti Malaya through grants TRGS (TR001A-2014) entitled 'Safe and Health Uses of Fruits and Herbs Mentioned in Al-Quran and Ahadith: An Analysis of ethnomedicinal Importance in Islamic Products in Malaysia' are very significant in the development of science. Advanced new study of henna is expected to produce benefits to Malaysia as a whole.

Abstract

User education activities are expected to be held in any type of library, especially at the college library (including UIN and IAIN). Due to the presence of user education teaching can improve the function of libraries and librarians in supporting programs of Tri Dharma University institution. On the other hand, the basic for the importance of library user education is also intended for library users and the entire academic community (especially new students) to prepare them to be able to explore their skill in the necessary resources and use them for education. The ability to search and to access to this information will be very useful for students to develop a career of life inside and outside the campus then. Library and their existences especially in higher education institutions to university of Islam is a civilization buffer, the library is a place of pluralities of complex thinking of the dialectical process of creative thinkers who read the reality of plural. To answer the challenges of the constantly changing life, the land will be fertile earth to foster plurality, if the library maintained its role in education is to educate the nation and as a pillar of civilization that honors independent thinking.

Abstract

The library is one of the forms of organization of learning resources that collects various information in the form of a book and other form (non-book material) that can be utilized by the user (faculty, students, and community) in an effort to develop their knowledge, ability and skill. Library itself is a resource center for learning. If related to teaching and learning in universities, libraries provide a very valuable contribution in the effort to increase the activity of students and improve the quality of education and teaching. Through the provision of libraries, students can interact and engage directly both physically and mentally in the learning process. Library is an integral part of the overall university programs, which together with other educational components also determine the success of the process of education and teaching. Use of the library as a trend in self-learning in higher education, must be supported by student interest in reading. Several attempts to do to improve student reading craze through the library are: 1) To provide students the literaturs they interested in ; 2) Make the library as a fun place for students through a good arrangement, with a friendly service; 3) Make the promotion and development activities interests and passions read by using the library; 4) Provide additional tasks to students outside of the classroom. Provision of additional task is certainly related to the limited hours of lessons in the classroom.
