Abstract

Research about Study of Determination Calorie Value in Durian Fruit (Durio zibethinus) has done. This study aims to determine the calorie value of all the materials used. The materials used are durian fruit. Materials will be determined calorie performed on ripe fruit or fresh fruit and fruit that have been dried under the sunlight. Determination of calorie value using two methods: the first method: determination of calorie value by Cobra3 and method II: determination of the calorie value by joule calorimeter. The higher specific heat and heat capacity accordingly calorie value would be even higher.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to identify: (1) the factors which influenced the progressiveness of coastal land farmer groups in Takalar Regency, (2) the most significant factor which inf-luenced. The study was conducted at Takalar Regency by taking 30 farmer groups in Galut Sub-Regency (15 groups/4 vil-lages), Galsel Sub-Regency (3 groups/1 village), Mappaka-sunggu Sub-Regency (8 groups/3 villages), and Sanrobone Sub-Regency (4 groups/2 villages). Analysis of descriptive, multiple linear reg-ression, and path analysis are used in this study. The prog-ressiveness of coastal land farmer groups in Takalar Regency is influenced by the role of extension worker, groups leadership, cohesiveness of groups and the role ofvillage government officer. Key words: progressiveness, farmer groups, coastal land.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to study the performance of broiler given ratio containing powders of Souropus androgynous, turmeric tuber, and their combination. Sixty four broiler, day old chick (doc), were randomly assigned in to 16 experimental cages (4 broilers/cage) with the size of 100 cm x 50 cm x 60 cm/cage. The treatment were : T0 = based ration (control), T1 = based rastion + 1 % Suropus androgynus, T2 = based ration + 1 % turmeric tuber, and T3 = based ration + 0,5 % Sauropus androgynus + 0,5 % turmeric tuber.Statistical analysis indicated that addition powder of sauropus androgynus, turmeric tuber, and their combination into the broiler ration did not effect (P>0,05) performances of broiler (feed consumption, daily gain, carcass percentage, abdominal fat percentage, and feed convertion). Conclusion ; Treatment powder of Sauropus androgynus, turmeric tuber, and their combination give the same effect on performance (consumption, daily gain, carcass percentage, abdominal fat percentage, and feed convertion) broiler.

Abstract

research was done about the using of morings (Moringa oleifera Lamk.) seed dusk in overcoming of coli bacteria on water well. The purpose of this research to know effectiveness of the using morings seed in water preparation. Samplewas taken from water well of lodging which contain coli bacteria that exeed from limit threshold that was >1600 cell/100 ml water. Water well is given treatment with use morings seed dusk that was measured, amount to 0,05 gram,0,1 gram, and 0,15gram. Then morings seed dusk was mixed with little water until have the shape of paste. Paste of morings seed was mixed into 200 ml water, after that water was filtered by gause material. Filtrate was gotten that mixed into 2 liters water and was stired during 15 menits, then keeped quiet during 2hours. Higyenis water was gotten that taken amount to 100 ml for evaluation as bacteriology with metode of Most Probable Number (MPN). The output after the treatment with morings seed dusk at first water well, decrease of bacteria amount limit 1,2 cell/100 ml water. The output of experiment showed that water well was processed with morings seed save to be consumed by peoples.

Abstract

Dalam masyarakat tradisional, segala sesuatu yang menyangkutkehidupan masyarakat selalu di lakukan bersendikan adat istiadat. Adatistiadat menjadi semacam pedoman dalam berpikir dan bertindak sesuaipola kehidupan masyarakatnya. Arsitektur Tradisional sebagai produkbudaya yang diwujudkan dalam bentuk fisik bangunan melalui prosesperenungan yang mengaitkan atau menghubungkan antara kehidupan seharihari dan kepercayaan terhadap alam semesta. Terwujud baik dalam tingkahlaku secara berinteraksi, termasuk perlakuan dalam tata cara membangunrumah di dalam lingkungan alam sekitarnya. Tata cara pembuatan rumahmenurut konsep arsitektur tardisional Bugis Bone, merujuk pada pesan atauwasiat yang bersumber dari kepercayaan dan adat istiadat yang dianut olehmasyarakat Bugis Bone, mulai pemilihan tempat, penentuan arah peletakanrumah bentuk arsitektur, hingga penyelenggaraan upacara ritual ketikaproses membangunnya. Dalam proses pembangunan ini merupakanrangkaian dialog dan keputusan antara penghuni rumah dan panrita bola.Rumah Bugis merupakan refleksi dari penghuni dan masyarakatnya.Bangunan rumah tersebut dibuat tidak hanya memberi fungsi tetapi jugamemberi nilai estetik yang pada dasarnya merupakan bentuk prilakuspiritual para pemiliknya. Hal tersebut terlihat pada bagaimana merekamembuat rumah sesuai dengan pandangan kosmologis mereka. RumahBugis dibangun memiliki makna simbolis yang sangat kuat, di manakonstruksi rumah dibangun dalam tiga ruang yang mewakili tiga makna.Makna yang diwakili tersebut merupakan cerminan akan tiga dunia yangdiyakini masyarakat Bugis, yaitu dunia atas, dunia tengah dan dunia bawah.Sedangkan secara fungsional, rumah Bugis memiliki fungsi yangmenjelaskan bagaimana kehidupan itu harus dibangun dan sosialitasmereka terhadap keluarga, masyarakat dan lingkungan mereka. Lokasipenelitian di fokuskan pada salah satu desa di Kabupaten Bone yaitu DesaKajuara dengan sasaran obyek rumah warga yang masih memilikiketerkaitan dengan adatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatankualitatif yang berorintasi dengan pendekatan fenomenologis.

Abstract

Coal in future will become a prospective candidate for alternative energy source. However, South Sulawesi coal still contains high concentration of sulphur which becoming a disadvantage for being used as an alternative energy. So far we need to develop such desulphurisation methods that not only practice abd efficient but also environmental friendly.The use of vegetable oil, which in oxidized form produces hydroperoxide, a powerful oxidizing agents, in desulphurisation process can oxidized the organic and inorganic sulphur of coal.The goal of this research will be, (1) to find out the NaOH optimum time and concentration for the initial treatment to effeciently desulfurized the coal, (2) to process, (3) to discover the maximum ratio of coal-oil in which can gave the maximum loss of sulphur (4) to justify maximum calories values of coal after the coal being desulfurized with vegetables oils.The research was carried out first with crushing the coal into about 200-mesh size following by analyzing the sulphur contents, which gave a result of 2,86% before desulphurized.In the initial treatment for desulphurisation, 75 mL of NaOH 1% and 5% was added to the coal for 1,3,5, and 7 hours respectively. After that coal was dried in temperature of 100oC. The maximum result from of this treatment was found 5% NaOH for 5  hour treatment, which reducing the content of sulphur about 2,239% or can desulphurized the coal until 22,035%Furthermore, variation of coal-vegetables oil ratio from (2:1), (1:1), (1:2), (1:3) and to the ratio with the constant absorbance values justified that the maximum ratio of (1:1) gave the maximum percentage of sulphur loss about 74,24% for traditional oils and 66,61% for crude palm oil respectively. These treatment also increasing the coal calories values 6176,80 to 6449,74 – 7767,09 kilocalories.Based on these result it can be concluded that the vegetable oil can effectively used in coal desulphurisation.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the potential development of buffaloes in South Sulawesi with quntitatif method approach. Primary and secondary data were used in analyzing. The analysis showed that South Sulawesi have a large potenies for the development of buffaloes. In social perspective, the buffalo has been maintained by generations. Particularly in Toraja regency, buffalo is an important part in traditional ceremonies. Spotted buffalo habitat (tedong bonga) comes from this district, with high economic value of livestock commodities. Moreover, the potential labor forces is very supportive in the development of buffaloes, in terms of manpower, knowledge and farmer skills, and support in increasing the number and capacity of extension officers. Other districts also have potential to developing the ruminants such as buffaloes are Luwu Timur and Selayar District, where the utilization of its capacities seen from the availability of forage fodder, only used respectively by 5.35% and 10.23%. Beside it, on the buffalo development base area, Tana Toraja still have a chance to increase the population up to 25.563,77 AU; 16.440,05 AU in Toraja Utara Regency and surrounding districts such as Luwu, Luwu Utara, Luwu Timur and Enrekang.

Abstract

Cyprinus carpio Linn is kind of fresh water fish which is widely developed because it is liked by society. Therefore, an appropriate plantation system is needed in order the availability of the fish in aboundant. Plantation with steril fish is one of alternative of providing the fish apropriately. The research is aimed to know the relative hatching rate on Cyprinus carpio Linn ras Punten which is given heat shocking temperature after fertilization. The research design is used is Copletely Rendomized Design with four repeating for each experimental group. The data is analyzed using one way ANAVA to know the effect of heat shocking temperature treatment toward relative hatching rate. The result of the research show that there is a significant effect between treatment toward relative hatching rate with probability is 0,00.

Abstract

Isolation and identification of secondary metabolites from extract of Persea Americana Mill. Plant had been performed. Separation techniques used consisted of extraction, fractionation, purification, and bioassay used Brin shrimp Lethality Test. The compounds obtained were tested and elucidated based on IR spectroscopy data. The compounds obtained were flavonoid (1) with LC50 = 24,342 μg/mL and alkaloid (2) with LC50 = 39,8 μg/mL.

Abstract

The aim of this research to investigate the quality of coconut oil and palm oil through its measurement of the wavelength spectrum. Spektrofotomer is used to measure the wavelength spectrum, before and after used.The samples are fresh oil, and expired oil. Analysis of the quality of coconut and  palm oil based on wavelength spectrum show that caconut oil oil is better than palm oil. Analysis of the quality of coconut oil and palm oil show that  palm oil to sample use of coconut oil not containing compounds melanoidin while palm oil for one used melanoidin containing compounds have been found in wavelength of 540 nm which is a green area.Keywords: quality,oil, spectrophotometer.
