Abstract

This article discusses the polemic streams in the classical Islamic concept of faith, kufr, reason and revelation. The authors conclude that flow Khawarij said that people who receive tahkim are infidels, while the most extreme flow said anyone who did not emigrate into place, then he infidels and must be killed. While Flow Murji'ah said that people who receive tahkim not a pagan, but a believer, because he justified God in his heart and diiqrarkan with oral. Another with the flow Mu'tazilah, they say people who commit major sins is not a believer nor infidel, but fasiq. Flow Asha'ira said that anyone who sins is a big believer fasiq, and punishment in the hereafter, it is up to the will of God. Flow Maturidiyyah say that the great sin, not eternal hell. While the problem of reason and revelation, the authors came to the conclusion that the flow Mu'tazila give a great sense role rather than revelation. While Flow Asha'ira provide reasonable role that small and more emphasis on revelation. Maturidiyyah flow Samarkand say that knowing Allah, the obligation to know God, and knowing good and bad, all of which can be known by reason. While revelation can only know the obligation to do good and bad. Maturidiyyah flow Bukhara argued that reason and revelation gets the same portion. Intellect can know God and knows to do good and bad. While revelation can know the obligation to know God and the obligation to do good and bad.

Abstract

This article discusses the concept of qath'i and Zanni in Islamic thought. The al-Nas dalalah is a hadis which has a single meaning that it is not possible to accept an interpretation such as ta'wil, takhsis and tabdil and other so-called definitive. The pronouncement Zanni is the opposite of the qath'i, both in terms of dalalah Zanni and wurud. Zanni teachings are teachings which are the elaboration of a definitive teachings (implementable). Zanni teachings that do not contain the truth itself which is the opposite of the definitive teachings that are universal, teachings Zanni bound by space, time, circumstances and conditions. Islamic teachings can apply to all areas and for all ages. The basic tenets are universal, absolute truth, remains unchanged and can not be altered by the scholars-in number only about 500, paragraph, or approximately 14% of all the verses of the Qur'an. But the details and the purpose of the implementation of the basic doctrines contained in the Koran is tailored to the circumstances of a particular place and time, so-called Islam shalih li kulli zamaan wa makaan (actual).

Abstract

This article examines the thinking of Muhammad Natsir of religion and state. The aim of this study is to describe descriptively about Muhammad Natsir view the relation between religion and state in the context of Indonesia. The research method used in this research is the study of literature by searching texts relating to Muhammad Natsir and religion and the state. The sources referenced text not only from the writings directly from Muhammad Natsir are referred to as primary sources but also refers to the intellectual outlook of Muhammad Natsir which is also known as a secondary source. This study came to the conclusion that Muhammad Natsir is the figure of the intellectual and activist Indonesia in the 19th century which has been struggling for unification between religion and state in the context of Indonesia. Religion and state are two entities that should not be separated. Religion has taught widely to the public how good state. Religion loading concepts clear rule that can be used as a reference in managing government. For him the unification of religion and state is a fixed price, but do not have to do with violent means. He did not agree with the ways DI fighting Islam by means of rebellion against authority. For him, Islam is shown in the concept of the ideal state to bring peace, love not the face of violence.

Abstract

The study aimed at examining the factors which cause cockfight as deviant behavior, describing the process of shifting of the function and meaning of cockfight as deviant behavior, describing the meaning of the work that the deviant behavior is coherent with the behavior of Malakaji people, and  describing the approach to be conducted so cockfight behavior becomes comformity behavior. The study employed descriptive qualitative approach. The informants were taken by employing purposive sampling technique. The categories of informants used were key informant, experst and regular with various professions as businessman, employee, entrepreneur, handyman, driver, and farmer. The criterion of the informants was the ones who do the cockfight for 3 years. The results the study were (i) cockfight (assaung) is a deviant behavior because against the cultural value, religion, and law, (ii) cockfight is a deviant behavior gave implication on the shifting of the function and meaning, (iii) the function and meaning of cockfight as the object were interpreted by the community based on its social roles, and (iv) active functions of the elements of people as social control as deconstruction of cockfight meaning from deviant behavior is a conformity behavior to create regularity of Malakaji people in Gowa district.

Abstract

Discourse on the intelligence trilogy, namely intellectual intelligence (IQ), Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and spiritual intelligence (SQ) today, becoming one of the ways used by a group of people to find success in life. Trilogy intelligence has developed, both in terms of theory and findings that are ready to be held in a practical level. The development is meant here is closely associated with the orientation of thinking that became the basis for these findings. IQ, EQ and SQ when touched by the revelation it will generate tremendous integration. Emotions are always in control, be pious scientists, to directing human has a value of monotheism. IQ, EQ and SQ are part of the repertoire of knowledge that needs to be studied and explored, so it will be born with the knowledge-based and objective understanding especially when coupled with the revelation.

Abstract

Aspek kerukunan merupakan nilai yang dapat ditemukan dalam ajaran setiapagama maupun aaktivitas sosialnya.Pembinaan agama merupakan tanggung jawabDepartemen Agama sebagai institusi negara yang secara  historis dan yuridismempunyai wewenang  di bidang itu. Dalam Penelitian ini diungkapkan olehtokoh masyarakat, tokoh agama, dan tokoh pemuda  bahwa Perhatian Pemerintahterhadap pembinaan kerukunan umat beragama cukup baik, hal itu dibuktikandengan bantuan-bantuan yang diberikan kepada umat beragama dan lembagakeagamaan. Upaya Pemerintah Kota Makassar dalam membina masyarakat sertamenjaga kerukunan umat beragama, boleh dikatakan hampir tidak pernahberhenti.Begitu pula dengan hadirnya Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama (FKUB)di Kota Makassar menunjukkan bahwa  Pemerintah memiliki perhatian besarterhadap kerukunan umat beragama di Kota Makassar.

Abstract

This article discusses the ethics according to Murtadha Mutahhari. To Murtada Mutahhari, human actions can be distinguished between acts naturally (normal) and act akhlaqi. Natural act is an act that does not make the perpetrators be worthy of praise, for example; a hungry will eat, drink thirsty, tired of break and so on. Type of acts of this nature is also made by animals. Find akhlaqi act is an act that deserves to be praised or flattered, the artistry that is identical to the (voluntary). In that sense, people will recognize the great value of an act akhlaqi. The question is not whether prices can be juxtaposed or aligned with the material, such as money or other goods, of any such material. The question is ranked higher in the human person.

Abstract

This article discusses the history and role of KH. Samanhudi as a founder of the first Islamic organization in the history of Islam. With minimal background experience of the organization, he was able to establish an organization that would later give birth to various heroes Indonesia, the Islamic Trade Union. This organization but aims to promote trade and unite the Muslims, as well as to take the fight against colonial oppression carried out by the Netherlands. The method used in this research is qualitative method by tracking references relating to the relevant figures. The results showed that KH. Samanhudi much affected by the thinkers of the Middle East reformers, like Jamaluddin al-Afghani, Shaykh Muhammad Abduh and Sheikh Muhammad Rida. whereas in the case of organizational thinking, KH. Samanhudi many discussions with the results obtained Journalists First, Raden Mas Tirto Adi Soerjo. With this, KH. Samanhudi gave birth to the idea that quite brilliant in his day to repel the Company of the archipelago, which combines the teachings of Islam and the unity of the Muslims, later with a strong union putting up stiff resistance to uphold social justice for all Indonesian people.

Abstract

This article elaborates on the paradigm of thinking Nahdlatul Ulama as one of the largest religious organization in Indonesia. NU was born officially in 1926, but was preceded by a forerunner of several organizations, the Nahdlatul Tujjar, Tashwirul Afkar and Nahdlatul Wathan. These organizations that generate and shape of NU. NU was born and formed to save every human individual from the divisions and unite in upholding commanding the good and forbidding the evil. Appropriate understanding of the basic principles of religion which was built by NU born in accordance with the requirements and can be used in view of today's reality, then prudence is indispensable to it. It is necessary, not to close the door of ijtihad, and not also in order to liberalize the individual may perform ijtihad, but more oriented to the benefit of the people. In social change, religion is only a supplementary function as well as a means for the process of change itself, not religion that makes changes to it. The world's developing world of its own discretion. Religion only affects the world as far as ready influenced, not more than that. Once religion transformed himself into a decisive, no longer only affect but decisive, then he has become materialistic.

Abstract

The study of this article is the study of figures. Fazlur Rahman became the central figure of the discussion. One big idea is the idea of photographing inclusive in Islamic thought as well as a subject matter in this article. Fazlur Rahman had a progressive synthesis mindset that has given hitoris in perspective toward Islam and put hermeneutics-objective analysis in exploring the Koran, which later gave birth to a solid footing on a foundation of tradition (orthodox) Islam, and able to get out of the trap of stagnation for contextual spirit and compatible of the these days, namely the Islamic spirit substantive and liberating. In an effort to build it Fazlur Rahman makes hermeneutics as a tool or method in the interpretation of scripture. The first movement consists of two two steps; The first step, to understand the meaning of a statement of the Qur'an, by reviewing historical situation or problem from which the Qur'an answers and responses appear. The second step, to generalize from specific answers, statements-statements that have moral goals-social public, which can be abstracted from specific verses in the light of the historical background and rationale.
