Abstract

This research is to study analyzes the views and strategies of Street Vendors of the demolition carried out by the municipality of Pekanbaru. Is a social phenomenon that occurs in people who have low income as street vendors (Informal Sector) at HR. Soebrantas. The theory used is the theory of perception, rational action and social capital. The data analysis was done by descriptive qualitative data collection techniques in this research is purposive in which the number of informants numbering 10 people consisting of hawkers, pp municipal police and the consumer. From the results of research in the field that the perception of street vendors (Informal Sector) give a good response, demolition is done is correct and good, while the response is not good from the merchant is to say demolition is done is not good because of evictions uneven. In conducting trade activities of traders has a coping strategy in facing demolition by performing resistance or resistance, resistance is done in two ways, among others, resistence to open and covert resistenceKeywords: Street Vendors (Informal Sector), Perception, Strategy

Abstract

The increasing demands for quality public health services, the service function should be improved to provide patient satisfaction. Quality of service is a form of patient assessment of the level of service received by the service expected, most of the government agencies in Indonesia has been implementing service with good but not maximized. But, at the health center Ujung Batu not implement the service properly. The facilities provided by these health centers are still lacking and quite slow in providing services, employee health centers are also less friendly in providing services to patients, as well as employees of the health center are also less response to the complaints of patients treated at this health center. So Puskesmas Ujung Batu has not been able to do a good job. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of health services at the district health center. Ujung Batu and determine the factors that influence it.Researchers used the theory of Agus Dwiyanto where quality of service can be determined by the dimensions of the officer attitude, procedure, time, facilities, and services. This study uses qualitative exploratory methods, techniques collecting data through observation and interviews in which the parties - the parties involved in this study as an informant.The results of this study indicate that the PHC Ujung Batu had poor service quality in serving the community and not in accordance with what is expected of society. Starting from facilities that are incomplete, slow employees in providing services, employee health centers are also less friendly, employees are less in response to patient complaints. Abstract

The Ayun Budak tradition in Dumai City is part of the culture which inherited hereditary from the Siak Malay’s custom. Technically, the tradition done by the parents to calm their crying child or make it as a lullaby. However, the Ayun Budak is important for the locals in case of consisting the local wisdom such as forming character, an expression of hapiness and grateful to Allah subhanawata’ala, as a media to offered advices, also to strengthen the relations among the locals. So that the tradition established as the succession of custom which held simultaneously or not with aqiqah. The aim of this research is to ascertain how the communication activity in Ayun Budak which setted as one event called Ayun Budak ceremonial.The method that used in this research is qualitative method with etnography communication approach. The datas gathered through observation, interview and documentation. There are 10 (ten) informant that determined by purposive sampling technique.The result of this research shows that the communicative situasion in Ayun Budak ceremonial could be done in parent’s home, the males seat in the front room and females in the back room of the house. The communicative occasion based in the type of the occasion that is opening and the verse to be sung. The discourse topic is an expression of gratefulness to Allah subhanawata’ala, offering advice and praying. Purpose and function of this tradition as an instrument to strengthen the relations, trancendental feelings, and gratefulness. The setting of Ayun Budak is in parents home and unbound to the time which attended by theologians, traditional leader, tambourine group, and elders whether from the inner family or local communities. The message shaped verbally and nonverbally. It consists advice, religious advice, and character forming. The step of the event does not begin by opening, marhaban and barzanji and the child is to be swung. Interaction theorem is rule and norm which exist in the event, interpretation norm in Ayun Budak drives to courtesy, sociability or kindness, and respecting each other, also obey and understand to religion and custom principles. Whereas in communicative acts mean people who understand the Ayun Budak are tradition leader, theologians, tambourine group, and the elders.Keyword: Tradition, Ayun Budak Tradition, Ethnography Communication

Abstract

Implementation of the Smart Electricity Program (Prepaid) at PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Panam Pekanbaru City has been done since year 2011. In this implementation still there any problems from public, in which costs are burdensome pieces administration of public and policy of the new tide in the compulsory use meter smart electricity (prepaid), and other problems that influence the effectiveness implementation of program. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementation of the Smart Electricity Program (Prepaid) and the factors that influence the of the Smart Electricity Program (Prepaid) at PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Panam Pekanbaru City.Theory used in this study was the effectiveness of the theory put formard by Steers, indicator of effectiveness theory consist of exploiting of resource, satisfaction of job, ability in exploiting, ability live with, and work productivity. This study uses qualitative research methods to study descriptive data. In data collection, researchers using observation, interviews, documentation.Based on the result of the research through interviews and observations, it is known that the of the Smart Electricity Program (Prepaid) at PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Panam Pekanbaru City is still considered less effective. This means that there are still shortcomings in the implementation of the Smart Electricity Program (Prepaid), in which the factors that affect the effectiveness of implementation of this program are: lack of socialization to public and the community’s ability to adapt in the implementation of the Smart Electricity Program (Prepaid).Keywords: Effectiveness, Smart Electricity Program (Prepaid), Implementation

Abstract

This research is a study of contemporary which discuss about the role of the Walk Free Foundation (WFF) in handling modern slavery in Mauritania. Slavery has been existed in Mauritania since European performed a trading contact with the African. Modern slavery is a condition of one person possessing or controlling another person in such as a way as to significantly deprive that person of their individual liberty, with the intention of exploiting that person through their use, management, profit, transfer or disposal. Modern slavery includes slavery, slavery-like practices (such as debt bondage, forced marriage and sale or exploitation of children), human trafficking and forced labour, and other practices described in key international treaties, voluntarily ratified by nearly every country in the world. The form of modern slavery in Mauritania is slavery based descent, also known as hereditary or chattel slavery, mean that slave status is inherited generation to generation and is deeply rooted in social castes and the wider social system. Many victims are the Black Moors (black African) came from both rural and urban areas. Actually, modern slavery not only occurs in Africa but also in other countries such as Asia and Europe. In this research, the author is using the group behavior analysis level which focused on the role of international organization. This research is using a pluralism perspective in international relations and organizational theory of Clive Archer. WFF’s role in handling modern slavery in Mauritania by prevention program. In efforts to handle modern slavery in Mauritania, WFF faces some obstacles; the lack of public knowledge about the dangers of modern slavery, lack of resource capacity in Mauritania and lack of monitoring and evaluation of the Mauritanian government cause the victims of modern slavery increase from year to year.Keywords: slavery, modern slavery, mauritania, walk free foundation (wff), global slavery index (gsi), walkfree movemenT.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to knowing the effect of Brand Image and service quality for the loyalty of costumer, business service, transportation in the case of PO. Medan Jaya Brand Image Branch Pekanbaru. Brand Image as a Variable (X1) and service quality as (X2) and then can formulate at the step of implementation of the activity,equiment that used, standard or parameter that has appointed, The test and inspection. And then the loyalty of costumer as a the dependent variable (Y). This research is doing for every passengers or everyone who know the Bus PO. Medan Jaya as many as 99 persons. The Data obtained from questionnaire and the next to be treated for being tested use statistic analysis such assimple linear regression analysis, t test, and correlation analysis and determination with use the help of SPSS 17.The result of research show that the result of hypotesis test t thitung 4,652>ttabel 1,985. This case show thatBrand Image give the effect on Loyalty of costumers, and the test result thitung 7,259>ttabel 1,985. Abstract

This study examines the performance of the organization which in thiscase is the performance of the DPC PKS cadres Tassel winning smoothparliamentary elections in 2014 dapil Rumbai. PKS increased the vote in eachperiod of the elections at both national and regional levels, particularly duringthe parliamentary elections in the Riau region experienced two periods reinforcethe recent elections. It is certainly not out of the performance of cadres whosuccessfully captured the public sympathy meilih for Islamic political ideology.The method used in this research is descriptive research with qualitative analysis.Qualitative research is an approach that uses a specific social situation with adescription of the true reality, formed by words based on the techniques ofcollecting and analyzing relevant data and obtained from the scientific situation.Qualitative research is to describe the characteristics of a real situation, butreports of an incident without scientific intervention.The results showed that there is still no maximum performance PKScadres DPC Tassel in winning the parliamentary elections in 2014, it can beknown from less than the maximum deployment of cadres to many existing areasdikecamatan Tassel, the PKS cadres is ditngkat national things result concernedthe motivation to drop the cadres and affect the image of the PKS was also loweramong people with only a few frames be incentives.Keywords: PKS, Performance, Organizational

Abstract

PT. Mitra Unggul Pusaka Segati Pelalawan Riau engaged in the palm oil industry in Pelalawan Riau using raw materials of palm oil after it is produced into crude oil. PT.Mitra Unggul Pusaka have multiple departments. In this case, PT.Mitra Unggul Pusaka especially the oil production, which has 51 employees in 2015.The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the work environment on employee productivity parts of palm oil production PT. Mitra Unggul Pusaka Segati Pelalawan Riau. This study uses descriptive quantitative correlation technique in which data were collected through questionnaires to 51 respondents. Then do the simple linear regression analysis of the data obtained.Results of research and hypothesis testing showed that there was a significant positive correlation between the work environment and productivity of employees part of palm oil production in PT. Partners Unggul Pusaka Segati Pelalawan Riau. Through coefficient determination test in this study proves that the work environment affects productivity of employees is influenced by other factors.Keywords: Work Environment, Employee Productivity

Abstract

This research is conducted at PT. Bank Riaukepri Branch Teluk Kuantan Sub-Province Kuantan Singingi, as for intention of this research is to know influence of facility work to satisfaction of employees activity of PT. Bank Riaukepri Branch Teluk Kuantan Sub-Province Kuantan Singingi. Facility work as independent variable (X). Meanwhile satisfaction of activity as dependen variable (Y). Problem of this research is facility office making employees less satisfied in working in among others is network of internet which often there is trouble, availibility of limited office tranportasi. Later then place park specially of employees do not be provided so that vehicle of employees parking in place park client. While building still adequate enough, this matter because of PT. Bank Riaukepri Branch Teluk Kuantan Sub-Province Kuantan Singingi not yet owned building alone and in this time still rent two shop house building. Population and of sampel research taken by counted 32 responder. Date obtained from result of quetioner and here in after processed to later then tested with statistic through program of SPSS. Result of obtained calculation that activity facility have an effect on positive to satisfaction of employees activity of PT. Bank Riaukepri Branch Teluk Kuantan Sub-Province Kuantan Singingi equal to 96,5%.
