Abstract

The study concluded the problems that will be used as the discussion, namely (1) How the profile of the community of Pkuvidgram, (2) what are the advantages that users get on Instagram after joining the community, (3) any Activity Pkuvidgram community perpetrated in enhancing creativity in the city of Pekanbaru instagram users. This research aims to know the profile of the community Pkuvidgram that exist in the city of Pekanbaru. Abstract

This research was conducted in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this research is to know the characteristics of Batak ethnic scavengers in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City, to know the forms of social disputes in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City. The focus of this research is about the factors that trigger the controversy between fellow scavengers in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City. The technique of determining the sample by purposive sampling. and set the number of samples as many as 5 people. The author uses quantitative descriptive method and Instrument data is observation, interview and documentation. The study found some characteristics of scavengers in Kecamatan Tampan as follows: Quantity Working Time: The study found that the average of research subjects started doing scavenging activity from morning at 5.30 to evening. Working System: The study found that generally the research subjects only scavenged in some places that are believed to be fixed locations scavenge every day. Revenue: Before becoming a scavenger the average research subjects only have income as much as Rp 300.000-1.200.000 / month, but after being a scavenger the average research subject is able to collect income as much as Rp> 2.000.000 / bulan. Barriers to Scavenging: Some of the obstacles experienced by research subjects in work are like experiencing work disorder such as dislocated legs and damaged scavenger tools and the availability of used goods that are sought. The research also found that there were some forms of dispute between the scavengers in Kecamatan, as follows: Working Area Problems: The problem of this working area was found in a dispute involving three research subjects, Rona's mother, Mr Rehat and Mrs. Sondang. Problem Type of Goods Collected: The problem of this type of goods collected involves four research subjects. Namely Rona's mother, father Kamal, father Yanto and father break. Abstract

Abstract

The Indonesian Language Signaling System (SIBI) is one of the media that helps communication of deaf people in the wider community. Its form is a systematic order of a set of finger, hand and various gestures that symbolize the vocabulary of sign language. SIBI on news programs can help deaf people to understand and get news information. The theory used in this study is the Stimulus - Response theory. The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the Indonesian language signal system (SIBI) television news had on understanding information on deaf students in Pekanbaru.This research uses quantitative research methods, with data collection techniques, namely through questionnaires with a total sample of 50 deaf students which is determined through purposive sampling techniques.The results of this study indicate that the degree of influence of the Indonesian Language Signal System (SIBI) on the Understanding of Information on Deaf Students in Pekanbaru City is Y = -1,269 + 0,713X + e. The constant number is -1,269 and the SIBI variable coefficient is 0,713, while t count 10,048 is greater than t table 2,011 with a significance level of 0,000 smaller than α = 0,05. Based on the "Model Summary" table shows that the value of R = 0.823 and the coefficient of determination (R square) obtained is 0.678 as a result of the squared correlation coefficient 0.823 x 0.823. This figure shows the understanding that the influence of the Indonesian language signal system (SIBI) on television news on information comprehension of deaf students in pekanbaru city is 67.8%. While the remaining 32.2% is influenced by other variables not included in this study. This means that the Indonesian language signal system (SIBI) television news has a strong influence of 67.8% on understanding information on deaf students in Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Sokola Rimba is a film full of education and humanity. This film reveals the life story of a teacher who devotes himself to fellow humans, especially the jungle people. Education is a process with certain methods so that someone acquires knowledge, understanding and the way people behave according to their needs. This study aims to provide knowledge to the people who live in remote areas, especially the suku rimba, on the importance of education so that there is no more land transfer and to know the denotation, connotation and myths of education in remote communities in the Sokola Rimba film.This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods, using Roland Barthes's semiotic method which includes denotations, connotations and myths. the subject of this research is the scenes that identify education itself in the film Sokola Rimba. While the object of this research is the Sokola Rimba film. Data collection techniques used are observation, documentation and literature. In achieving the validity of the data in this study, the authors used triangulation.The results of the study show that: (1) The meaning of denotation in the film sokolah rimba is how the actual state of education is in the jungle tribe that is in the learning process only by using tools that have natural surroundings such as rubber seeds. (2) The meaning of connotation is generally the education factor in remote communities is education carried out in the open or open world, not using buildings either semi or permanent. (3) The myth in the film sokolah rimba is seen from several perceptions that have been embedded that the people who live in remote areas is an innocent, primitive, and illiterate society.Keywords: Film, Semiotics, Education, and Sokola Rimba

Abstract

The research was carried out in the village of Agam Regency Meatball sub Salo. The reason researchers take at the village and subdistrict Baso Kabuaten Salo, Agam, West Sumatra Province because of the community in the village of Salo still uses the maresek customs, in order to maintain the tradition of hereditary and cultural heritage. This research aims to understand the communicative situation in the tradition of the indigenous maresek minang village Salo, Baso, Agam Regency, to describe the communicative event in the tradition of the indigenous maresek minang village Salo, Baso, County Agam, to describe the communicative acts in the tradition of the indigenous maresek Minang village Salo, Kecamatn Baso, Agam Regency. Based on the results of the above study obtained from the field during the placing of the research, then the author will discuss overall regarding the "indigenous traditions of communication pemolaan maresek Minang didesa Salo Agam by using method qualitative ethnographic pendekatakan with communication. Abstract

Communication enables the occurrence of social cooperation, making important agreements, and so forth. In the development of social media, WhatsApp itself is one of the most popular social media in the process of accessing it seems practical and simple compared to other instant social media messaging. Therefore, the use of social media whatsapp can lead to the need for the affiliation of the community of Catholic Youth (OMK) of Santa Maria Pekanbaru. This study uses the theory of Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) with the aim of research is to find out how much influence influence between whatsapp social media on the affiliate needs of the Catholic Youth Community (OMK) of the Catholic Church of Santa Maria Pekanbaru.The method used is quantitative explanation using a saturated sampling technique (census) and a total sample of 100 respondents. The researcher collected data with a questionnaire. To find out how much influence between variables X and Y variables, researchers used simple linear regression analysis. Processing questionnaire test data was carried out using the SPPS program Windows Version 25.Based on the results of simple linear regression, the regression coefficient value obtained in this study is Y = 25.944 + 0.264 X with a significance level of 0.000. The level of significance is smaller than α = 0.05. meaning that there is an influence between whatsapp social media and the affiliate needs of the Catholic Youth Community (OMK) of the Saint Mary Catholic Church in Pekanbaru. The magnitude of the effect that occurs is equal to 12.2% and entered into the category of influence is very weak, the remaining 87.8% is influenced by other variables not included in the study. This percentage shows that each person can vary in using social media owned and depends on how they are used. It turns out that the respondent's affiliate needs are fulfilled not only through whatsapp social media, but also the needs of affiliates can be fulfilled by accessing other social media such as Instagram, Facebook, Line, and so on. With these results, in this study it was found that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted.Key Word: Media Social, Theory of CMC, The needs of affiliation

Abstract

The development of hijab in Indonesia is growing from time to time aimed at increasing numbers of Indonesian women wearing hijabs. Now hijab is very popular among Muslim women in Indonesia, now the hijab is not considered ancient, now hijab and Muslim clothing actually make women who wear it look more beautiful and graceful and more fashionable. At present the style of hijab displayed by Muslim women is starting to be highlighted by the media, so employers are starting to see this gap to take the opportunity to advertise their products using hijab women to be more quickly recognized by the public. In this study, researchers analyzed the Sunsilk Hijab Recharge advertisement, where advertising stars used hijab as an attribute of religious value in the advertising value, and religious values (hijab) in these advertisements became a commodity. So that there was a transfer of the function of religious values into an exchange rate. Utilization of hijab from its use which is then transformed into a commodity and certain interests.This research method uses Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis. The data collection technique carried out is through observation and documentation. The data validity technique in this research is triagulation.The results of this study indicate that the commodification that appears in the Sunsilk Hijab Recharge Sampo advertisement is the commodification of content seen from the signs and meanings of the description of the story. The use of commodified hijab causes the ad to experience a shift from function value to exchange rate. A company and the interests of making advertisements to get people to use Sunsilk Hijab Recharge shampoo products through the use of visual religious signs is an absolute means to get empathy and sympathy from the public to buy and use these products. The researcher realizes that the sign is a concept to promote the product so that it becomes a commodity and functions to become a function of selling in the form of capitalism.Keyword : Comodification Hijab, Semiotics Charles Sanders Pierce

Abstract

The interest generated by credit is the main source of bank income. This makes the debtor as one of the important assets for the bank, considering that credit is an important part of the bank. In the city of Padang itself competition in the banking services business is growing very rapidly and is quite competitive, so that PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk Padang Branch Offices must have strategies and persuasive techniques to win business competition. Besides that, PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk Padang Branch Office also still does not meet the annual target set by the company. Then the problem often faced by companies is still a lack of trust in banks. This study aims to determine Communication Strategy Of Persuation In Increasing The Debtors At Pt. BNI (Persero) Tbk Padang Branch Office.This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, with research locations at PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk Padang Branch Office. The research subjects consisted of 9 informants selected through purposive and accidental techniques. Data collection is done through interviews, observation and documentation. To determine the validity of the data the author uses the method of extension of participation and triangulation. The results of this study indicate that PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk Padang Branch Office uses three persuasive communication strategies to increase the number of debtors, the first is to use a strategy through an emotional approach (psychodynamic strategy) by attracting attention, building elements of trust and utilizing the situation, the second uses strategy through a social approach ( sociocultural strategy) through family environment and friends' environment, the third uses strategy by providing meaningful knowledge of the company by personal selling and through the media. Then in increasing the number of debtors of PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk Padang Branch Office uses the yes-response technique technique by giving a question or statement then using the technique not ask if ask which by offering a choice.

Abstract

The services carried out by Jasa Raharja which are communicated by some people, they can be used in the community of Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of public relations: planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling Jasa Raharja Riau Branch, to find out what media was done to determine the inhibiting factors and supporting factors in improving the positive image for the people of Pekanbaru City.The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method by setting 4 (four) research subjects as informants through purposive techniques and the people who are taking care of claims. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study used the interactive data model of Miles and Huberman. Checking data uses the technique of extending participation and triangulation.The results of this study indicate that the management used by Jasa Raharja Public Relations in improving the image was successful. Even though they still get complaints from some people, they understand and the community thinks the image of Jasa Raharja is good. Some of the things that need to be considered by the Riau Jasa Raharja Public Relations in conducting management in terms of planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling have gone well even though there are few obstacles in the organizing and staffing section because of the limited available HR. Jasa Raharja Riau branch uses a variety of media in improving its corporate image, the media used are print media, electronic media, social media and websites as well as outdoor media. Jasa Raharja Public Relations of Riau Branch has inhibiting factors and supporters carry out public relations activities in order to improve the image of the people of Pekanbaru City. The inhibiting factor is limited human resources, especially the absence of human resources who do have a public education background. The supporting factors are the fulfillment of adequate facilities and infrastructure for public relations in carrying out activities such as DSLR cameras, computers equipped with the internet, and official vehicles that help mobility public relations in activities.Keyword : Management, Public Relations, Positive Image
