Abstract

This study aims were to analyze the development of Pineapple Chip Businesses (Medium Small Micro Business and next will be written as UMKM) of Berkat Bersama in Kampar District and to know the influence factors of the business development UMKM Berkat Bersama. In its development, the Berkat Bersama business has used various strategies in order to avoid major obstacles that can hamper the progress of Pineapple Chip Business. In this research, the data was gotten of the interview using key information to get accurate information. In determining the research subject, the researcher used a purposive sampling technique. Purposive sampling means the sample is taken deliberately. It means that the researchers determine their own based on certain considerations. So, the sample was not taken randomly, but determined by the researcher. The research method was a descriptive analysis that explains the research variable description and its explanation based on the research results of data reduction, data presentation, and the conclusion. After analyzing the data, the researcher concluded that the development of Pineapple Chip Business (UMKM) Berkat Bersama was a good product. Started from the planting, management, and packaging was keep the cleanness and taste. In supporting business development in the long term, UMKM Berkat Bersama collaborates with various partners. The collaborative effort was considered as one of the supporting factors to the development of Berkat Bersama Business. Another supporting factor was community participation and availability of raw materials, and so on. The community participation had a positive influence on Pineapple Chip business. Besides that, the hinder factors were limited time and high transportation costs.Keywords: Products, Human Resources, Network Marketing

Abstract

This purpose research to know social capital on the development industry of dakak-dakak and obstacle on the development industry of dakak-dakak. This research implementation in the Simabur Village Pariangan District Tanah Datar  Regency West Sumatra Province. Subjects in this research is 5 people dakak-dakak of entrepreneur in the Simabur Village Pariangan District. Technique used in this research is purposive sampling technique. Purposive sampling is taking the subject of research done on porpose, pengambilan subjek penelitian yang dilakukan dengan sengaja, which in accordance whit the requirements of informants in need. The method used is a qualitative research method because this method explain any concerns regarding this tittle is descriptive. Instrument data filtering is observation, questionnaires and documents.  The theory used is the theory of social capital where in there are trust, social of net, and value and norm. The result were made public in the field that social capital on development dakak-dakak of industry is there are trust of happened between entrepreneur of dakak-dakak and buyer on the made dakak-dakak, there are social of net in the form of social of relationship on the shape cooperation happened between entrepreneur of dakak-dakak and buyer on the marketing of dakak-dakak, there are value and norm in the form of feel another price and respect between entrepreneur of dakak-dakak and buyer on the development industry of dakak-dakak, and there are obstacle on the development industry of dakak-dakak in the form obstacle on the search standard material rice and gas,  obstacle on the marketing, obstacle on the borrow of money to effort of dakak-dakak, and  ever experienced loss on the effort of dakak-dakak.  Keywords : Social Capital, Industry of Dakak-Dakak, Entrepreneour of Dakak-

Abstract

Disability is still a big issue in developing countries, including Indonesia. They are a part of under-privileged marginal group in the national development process. The low rate of people with disability’s participation in the development process violates their rights. Various policies and programs have been conducted by Indonesian government, yet, not all have been in favor to the rights of people with disability. Humanity and Inclusion (HI) exists in Indonesia to protect the rights of people with disability. One of the projects that HI implemented to increase the participation of people with disability in national development project is the Advocating for Change (AfC) project.  The research method used within this research was qualitative-descriptive. The data was collected from journals, books, official reports, and websites to analyze this research. The perspective used within the research was pluralism perspective and using international organization theory.  The research shows that the implementation of AfC project in promoting the rights for people with disabilities runs well by conducting a set of advocacy activities. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand why Indonesia has taken diplomatic action at the ASEAN DEFENSE MINISTERS MEETING-Plus session in the Philippines in 2017. Does Indonesia as a country that also has security disruptions want to cooperate with other ASEAN member countries to counteract regional threats that often happened specifically terrorism. According to the results of the ADMM meeting in the Counter Terrorism Working Group discussion, the Southeast Asian region is in the threat of terrorism such as the latest threat of terrorism in the Philippines and Indonesia and needs repression through a plan of action by the ASEAN Security Community (ASC). This research theoretically uses a realist perspective and uses the diplomatic theory of S.L. Roy. The formulation of all arguments, facts, and theoretical frameworks in this study is guided by the method of qualitative explanation. The technique in this study is through literature. Data obtained and collected from the official website of the ASEAN National Secretariat and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia (KEMHANRI), journal books, theses and then from the internet are related to the problem.This study found that at the 4th ADMM-plus Meeting in 2017, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia exchanged views on terrorism and extremism, maritime security, non-professorial nuclear weapons, cyber security and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR). So on this basis, the Indonesian Minister of Defense, Ryamizad Ryacudu proposed an intelligence-based cooperation called "Our Eyes Initiative". Abstract

The city of Pekanbaru has a densely populated population of more than one million people. Along with the development of the city of Pekanbaru to become a Metropolitan City, it is inseparable from various problems that arise, namely the problem of Traffic congestion. The Problem of Traffic Congestion is a problem that does not resolve every year. This is caused by the Police not yet maximal in overcoming Traffic Congestion in the City of Pekanbaru. In this case, of course, the public spotlight on the performance of the Police in overcoming the problem of Traffic Congestion in the City of Pekanbaru. The formulation of the problem in this study is Why has Police supervision not been maximized in overcoming Traffic Congestion in Pekanbaru City in 2017? This study aims to determine  the oversight carried out by the police in dealing with traffic congestion in Pekanbaru City in 2017, to find out the inhibiting factors of the police in handling traffic congestion in Pekanbaru City in 2017. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection technique in this study is to use interview techniques with the number of informants as many as 9 people and using documentation techniques can be in the form of writing, images or monumental works from someone. To explain the problems in this study used qualitative methods to show research that produces qualitative data, namely data that cannot be realized in the form of numbers, but in the form of an explanation that describes certain conditions, processes, events. The results of the study concluded that police supervision in overcoming traffic congestion in the city of Pekanbaru in 2017 is still not optimal. This is still the existence of factors that inhibit the police in handling traffic congestion is the construction of roads, an increase in the number of vehicles, traffic light, illegal parking, and street vendors. In this case the author considers that the Pekanbaru Police Satlantas is not as expected, there are still many shortcomings and problems faced by the Pekanbaru Police Satlantas and the form of actions taken by the Pekanbaru Police Satlantas has not run optimally. Abstract

The Marching band at the 106 Rumbai Pekanbaru Public Elementary School is a program whose purpose is to develop and grow the character and musical abilities of existing students. Fostering and training elementary school students is not an easy matter, because they are still very young and have never played musical instruments before. The students just learned about musical instruments after they joined the marching band and after joining they gained sufficient expertise in playing musical instruments. The purpose of this study was to determine the credibility of the SDN 106 marching band coach, the assessment of entering behavior by the trainer, the method used and the communication barriers that occurred during the SDN 106 marching band training process. This study used qualitative research methods. The research was conducted at the 106 Rumbai Pekanbaru Elementary School. Informant selection is done by porposive techniques. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysts according to Huberman and miles. for the validity checking technique the data used in this study is the Extension of participation, Triangulation and Adequacy of references. The results of the study show that the credibility of the marching band coaches is very adequate to foster and train students, it can be seen from the skills and skills of the trainers in playing a number of musical instruments, and also from the trainer's ability to teach the members of the marching band with great skill so the coach gets the trust of his members. The trainer also applies the initial behavioral assessment used to streamline and direct the students according to the interests, talents and abilities of the students, so that students can be nurtured in the place that best suits them. The methods used by trainers in teaching and improving the abilities of students are varied, including the command method, demonstration method, training method,  discussion and question and answer method and also practice with friends. Then there are three types of obstacles,  from the communicator, such as the use of complex language, obstacles on the channel, damaged tools and unsupportive weather and obstacles on Communicating, communicant that is not focused and causes noise so learning becomes disturbed.

Abstract

The steps of the success of the Air Emas Village Government to represent Riau Province in the 2017 national level Bakti Gotong Royong Masyarakat (BBGRM) Community Contest need to be appreciated and emulated by other villages where the success of Air Emas Village in 2017 at the National Level BBGRM competition is not free -steps that the village government applied. Therefore, it is necessary to know the steps in order to be able to make referrals by other villages.                                                                                       This study aims to analyze the steps taken by the government of the Golden Water Village in Ukui District, Pelalawan Regency so that they can represent Riau Province in the 2017 National Community Service Month Competition. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used were interview techniques and documentation. The results of the study can be concluded that the steps of the Air Emas Village Government in representing Riau Province in the 2017 National Level Community Service (BBGRM) Month are collaborating with the government and PMD to form the BBGRM Village Implementation Team, conducting deliberations to determine and determine the fields that will be planned in BBGRM activities are planning various things related to BBGRM, both funding, regulations related to BBGRM, parties involved in the implementation of BBGRM, and parties that move the community to participate in mutual cooperation in BBGRM activities. Abstract

 This study aims to determine the effect of working capital management and capital structure on profitability in food and beverage industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The ratio of working capital management as an independent variable uses working capital turnover. The capital structure ratio used as an independent variable is the debt to assets ratio (DAR) and the debt to equity ratio (DER). While profitability as the dependent variable is measured by return on investment (ROI). The data used in this study are secondary data, namely financial statements and annual reports. Sampling was done by purposive sampling, the sample used was 7 companies from 14 food and beverage industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The analysis technique used is simple linear, multiple linear, coefficient of determination, t test (partial), and F test (simultaneous). Data analysis using linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS 21 software. The results showed that working capital partially (t test) did not significantly influence profitability. While the partial capital structure (t test) has a significant effect on profitability. The results of the simultaneous research (f test) show that there is a significant influence between working capital and capital structure together on profitability in food and beverage industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Keywords: Working Capital, Capital Structure, Profitability

Abstract

Abstract Hate speech is an act of communication carried out by an individual or group in the form of provocation, incitement, or insult to other individuals or groups in terms of various aspects. One example is the utterance of hatred that is spread through messages written on Facebook regarding the Candidate of the Governor of Riau 2018. In the S-R theory, it is stated that the attitude change process can occur if there is a stimulus that influences it. Based on this theory, researchers want to see how the effects of stimulus/utterance hate towards student responses / opinions. The method used is explanative quantitative using Slovin technique and the number of samples is 87 people. The researcher collected data with questionnaires. To process the test questionnaire data is done by using the SPSS Windows version 23 program. Based on the results of simple linear regression gets the value of regression coefficient in this r3esearch is Y = 5.843 + 0.432 X with a significance level of 0.000. of course ii’s smaller than α = 0.05. This means that there is the influence of hate speech about the election of the Governor of Riau 2018 on Facebook against the opinion of Riau University Government Science students at 59.7% and classified as the category of influence. While the remaining 40.3% is influenced by other variables not included in this study. Although not dominant, the respondents pay attention to the contents of the message delivered and arise from student opinion. So, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Abstract            This research was conducted in Kelurahan Bambu Kuning, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study is to find out the interactions in their residents during their stay and settle in a flat. This research focused on the activity in the form of cooperation and forms of conflict and the social relationships that underlie these interaction. The technique on this research was done by determining the samples using census or saturated sampling and set a sample of 49 people. The author uses quantitative descriptive methods and data instruments are observation, questionnaire or questionnaire and documentation. The results of the study showed that the social interaction such as the cooperation’s form on the basis of the same ethnic / ethnic relationship 24.5%, age 16.3%, employment 24.5%, family relations 8.2%, friendship 26.5%, and living in the same block 36.7%. In addition, there are two forms of conflict that have taken place, namely in a quarrel and physical contest. This happens because the environments / yard are dirty, noisy, debt / accounts receivable, and borrowing motorbikes. The level of conflict is commonly found because the environments / dirty yard are 65.3%. And the level of conflict on a physical basis is 22.4% due to debt / receivables.  In this case, it proves that the form of community flats collaboration has not gone very well, more self-closing, and still look at the background of the other person when building their cooperative relations. While some forms of conflict have occurred because some of residents who do not care, uncontrollable anger, disturb the situation of the occupants personal conditions and deny the agreement that has been set.
