Abstract

This study aims to determine how much compensation and organizational commitment to employee morale. The sample in this study was taken as many as 54 respondents and the technique used was Total Sampling. The data in this study used the survey method through questionnaires filled out by employees. The research method used is simple regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, simultaneous and partial analysis of the coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing namely F test and T test. The result of this study indicate compensation has a significant effect on employee morale. Organizational Commitment has a significant effect on employee morale. And simultaneously compensation and organizational commitment have a significant effect on employee morale. Further research is recommended to use other methods in examining employee morale, for example through in-depth interviews with respondents. Keywords: Compensastion, Organizational Commitment and Employee                                 Spirit/Morale

Abstract

The importance of local government communication in tourism marketing is to promote the potential of tourism objects in Siak district to attract the attention of tourists both foreign tourists and local tourists, in order to get to know the various types of tourist objects that can be found and visited in the Siak regency. This study aims to determine the communication of local government in marketing tourism objects in Siak districts in 2016-2017. The location of this research was conducted in Siak City, Siak Regency. Data collection techniques are carried out by interview and documentation. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study revealed that local government in marketing of tourism objects in Siak districts in 2016-2017 had not run optimally. in 2016 the tourism agency, youth and sports had not made good cooperation with the private sector and local communities in conducting communication and outreach to carry out information dissemination activities on the potential of the tourism objects in Siak district. in 2017 the district government of Siak is involved in supporting every activity carried out by the tourism agency to make the people who live close to the location of tourist attractions as local tour guides. Each community is given training and counseling to give its role and participation in supporting tourism marketing activities carried out in Siak district. As for 5 (five) elements of local government communication in marketing tourism objects in Siak Regency, namely: communicator, message, communicant, media or chanel, and effect (influence). Keywords: communicator, message, communicant, media or chanel, effect

Abstract

The makeup artist is an artist who has the ability to make makeup in other people’s body parts, including the face. These skills and abilities are derived from a beauty class or the privates of a makeup professional. As a hobby of profession, make up artist in the Pekanbaru City of fair is now deeply concerned by various students, because this activity doesn’t take much time and is running at any time. This phenomenon about activity in the world of makeup is what research is all about. The main focus on this writing leads to social networks. There are forms of tissue, an interest network, a sentimental network, and a power network, ini which all three networks are formed of mutually beneficial relationships. Data retrieval is made by observation following the student activities of the Pekanbaru City that run activities as make up artist and interviews in depth and documenting. Interviews conducted where reseachers verbally and direcly question the subject in full effect. It’s inconceivable that being a make up artist is not an easy ting to do, because it takes a desire to continue learning to sharpen the skills of make up, a lot of money to buy makeup, and mentally strong to take criticism from a client. Keywords : Make Up Artist (MUA), Activity and Social Network.

Abstract

Save The Children is an NGO that plays a role in protect and fight for the right of children through improvement clean water service and sanitations through the WISE programme in East Nusa Tenggara. Through the WISE Program, Save The Children also supports the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) for children in East Nusa Tenggara. This essay research is aiming to describe the role of Save The Children on the implementation of WASH in School Empowerment in East Nusa Tenggara on 2011-2013. Type The research by author is type descriptive-analytic, research that uses pattern depiction circumstances fact empirical accompanied relevant arguments with method research qualitative. Technique data collection is done through studies library, document and interviews, primary and secondary. The author 's perspective Use is perspective pluralism with level analysis nation-state and use theory organization international. This research shows that Save The Children plays an active role with build amenities sanitation and clean water, training health for teachers and little doctor through UKS, as well promote message hygiene in schools base in East Nusa Tenggara.  Key Words: Non-Govermental Organization, Save The Children, Millenium Development Goals, WISE.

Abstract

 Customer loyalty is the engine of the success of a business. Loyalty is an attitude and behavior that indicates a repeat purchase of an item or service. In building and increasing customer loyalty, companies must pay attention to the factors that. This study aims to determine how much influence the satisfaction, emotional bonding, trust, choice reduction and habit factors and history with the company have taken from G. Zikmund's theory (2007: 72) and what factors are most influential and less influential on customer loyalty in Batam Travelodge Hotel. The population in this study were all guests who had stayed at Travelodge Batam Hotel while the samples taken were 100 guests who had stayed more than once at Travelodge Batam Hotel using purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using observation techniques, interviews and Likert scale model questionnaires calibrated using validity test and reliability test. The classic assumption test uses the normality test, multicollinearity test and heteroscedasticity test. Based on the research, it was found that there was a positive effect of X variable on Y variable as indicated by the results of linear regression analysis Y = 1.780 + 1.389 + 0.992 + 1.126 + 0.909 +0,898. The value of determination coefficient (R2) is 80.1% and the remaining 19.9% is influenced or explained by other variables not included in this regression model. Keywords: Service Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Customer Loyalty

Abstract

 Mandi Balimau Kasai Potang Mogang is a unique tradition and has distinctive characteristics from Balimau bathing events in other regions. One of its uniqueness is the existence of the Tonggul Togak Ceremony which is one of a series of events before entering the peak of the Mandi Balimau ceremony. Tonggul itself has a meaning as a symbol of independence from every tribe in Langgam village. Another difference from the Mandi Balimau ceremony is that it is not permissible to bathe with men and women in the river because it is highly not recommended by the Traditional Elders of Langgam village. The Balimau Kasai Potang Mogang bathing event is carried out 4 days before the fasting month, as a symbol of self-purification before entering the holy month of Ramadan. Balimau itself means bathing with water mixed with oranges called limau (limes). Oranges that are commonly used are purut limes and mentimun limes, while kasai is made from a mixture of white rice, turmeric, lemongrass leaves, and lime leaves. In this study, the researcher used social system theory with a total of 7 informants consisting of ninik mamak (elders), religious leaders, community leaders, and regional officials. The results of the study show that the implementation of the potang mogang balimau kasai bathing tradition is still carried out to date and is supported by ninik mamak and regional officials. The meaning contained in Potang Mogang Balimau Bathing Tradition is the existence of social values, communication or interaction of the community that are well interwoven, elements of mutual interest, elements of family, and values of the sense of sharing.  Keywords: Implementation, Mandi Balimau Kasai Potang Mogang, Meaning

Abstract

The rapid development of technology is not only around us, but has worldwide made changes to the living environment that we live in today. Social media is becoming a new trend in the development of world media. Social media is considered to be a forum for works, ideas, responses, opinions, and even media to express the situation that occurs. These Instagram Stories are the latest features released by the Instagram application. Users can immediately share daily activities in the form of photos and short videos directly to followers by adding certain writing and effects but can only be seen in a limited time, 24 hours. The title of this study is the University of Riau Student Satisfaction Level in Using Instagram Social Media Stories.  This study also uses a quantitative approach that is research that describes or explains a problem whose results can be generalized, respondents used in this research are Riau University students, amounting to 166 people, here researchers want to measure several variables from the University of Riau Student Satisfaction Level in Using Social Media Instagram Stories namely, Information, Personal Identity, Integration and Social Interaction, Entertainment. The results of the research obtained using simple linear regression data analysis concluded that this study was in accordance with the theory used, namely the Uses and Gratification Theory. Then this study also shows that the University of Riau Student Satisfaction Level in Using Instagram Stories Social Media has an influence of 3.60% From the average results obtained it can be seen that the average value of GO is greater than the average GS in other words, satisfaction obtained by Riau University students in using stories on social media Instagram. Furthermore, the significance value obtained is also smaller than α = 0.05, which means Ha is accepted, namely the difference between the motives and the satisfaction of University of Riau Students Against the Use of Social Media Instagram Stories.

Abstract

This Research is a diplomation political study which describes the ULMWP motivation looking for support to MSG. This Research will focus on why ULMWP looking for support to MSG. This Study interesting because describe about the motivation of ULMWP looking for support to MSG and ULMWP effort to get support from MSG to reach their goals that is self-determination for West Papua.  This is qualitative research which used descriptive methods, and collecting datas from some resources like books, journals. official publication, and relevant websites. This paper used pluralism perspective, level analysis of group behavior, and separatists group concept from T. R. Gurr. The object in this research is ULMWP an main actor in International Relations. The result of this research shows that ULMWP looking for support to MSG to reach their goals from international community and get their independence from Indonesia. ULMWP has several motivations in seeking support for MSG. such as  MSG as a media voices to struggle for the movement of ULMWP,  conformity of the ULMWP and MSG in missions regarding human rights enforcement, ULMWP has race and historical proximity with MSG members, and good message from MSG Members to ULMWP regarding West Papua's self-determination.through this motivation, they tried to get support from the MSG in their goal of achieving independence from Indonesia.  Keywords : Motivation, Sepratists Movement, International Organization, Diplomation

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence lifestyle, brand image and product attributes on the purchasing decision of the hijab zo. The sample in this study was taken as many as 100 respondents and the technique used was Pusposive Sampling. The data in this study used a survey method through questionnaires filled by consumers. Data obtained using simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that lifestyle has a effect on purchasing decisions. Brand image has a effect on purchasing decisions. Product attributes affect purchasing decisions. And simultaneously lifestyle, brand image and product attributes have a effect on purchasing decisions. Further research is recommended to use other methods in examining purchasing decisions, for example through in-depth interviews with respondents. Keywords: Lifestyle, Brand Image, Product Attributes, and Purchasing                      Decisions

Abstract

This research did at PT. Silver Silk Tour & Travel that location on St. Kaharuddin Nasution No. 77, Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru. The problem in this research is not achieved lastest five years. There is case assumption problems on emloyees loyalty. The purpose of this research was to detect the effect of incentive, work discipline of employees loyalty PT. Silver Silk Tour & Travel Pekanbaru. This research used quantitative descriptive method with SPSS program. Sample of this research was 40 people wich is taken from total population. Data obtained from questionnare then process to tested by means of SPSS 23 program. Testing analysis usinng simple and multiple linear regression analysis method. The result of multiple linear regression analysis from this research are Y =15,605 + 0,887X1 + 0,322X2. Research that has been done show the results that the responden’s response to incentive an work discipline in the category is good, whereas employees loyalty on the category good enough. While the t test has been carried out show that incentive variables partially have a significant effect to employees loyalty and work discipline variables partially have a significant effect to employees loyalty. The F test result show that simultaneous incentive and work discipline have a significant effect to employees loyalty. As for calculation of the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained Adjusted R Square are 0,579. This show that incentive and work discipline have an effect of 57,9% on the employees loyalty. While the remaining 42,1% is infkluenced by other variables not included in this study.Keyword: Incentive, Work Discipline, Employees Loyalty
