Abstract

This study intends to explain the portrait of the social and economic life of female parking attendants in terms of the social relationships that exist among parking attendants at the Puan Maimun Market, Karimun Regency and the family economic life of each female parking attendant. Researchers also discussed gender. In general, the job of parking attendants is only carried out by men. However, since the times, the job of parking attendants has been carried out by women. Women who work as parking attendants are usually underestimated by society. However, while working as a parking attendant at Puan Maimun Market, there is no difference in working between men and women. However, women who work outside the home usually have problems related to carrying out family functions. The function of the family in question is that the affective function is carried out even though it does not have much free time with the family, the function of education and socialization here is a little carried out and the last, the recreational function is not carried out. This research was conducted using a survey technique because the number of subjects was not too many, carried out continuously with a certain time interval. Based on these criteria, 4 informants were taken as research subjects for portraits of the socio-economic life of female parking attendants at Puan Maimun Market, Karimun Regency. Those who work as parking attendants have certain reasons, one of which is wanting to help their husbands for the survival of their families and also working as parking attendants do not need to have special skills. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The theory used in this study is the theory of gender.Keywords: Portrait of life, Socio-Economic, Woman Parking attendant

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of career development and incentives on employee performance partially and simultaneously. This study used questionnaires and interviews in data collection and was distributed to 44 respondents at Hotel Resty Menara Pekanbaru. The data is processed using descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis through SPSS by testing the validity, reliability, simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression, determination (R2), t test (partial) and F test (simultaneous). This study shows the results that the t test with the variable career development and incentives partially has a significant effect on employee performance and for the results of the F test shows that simultaneously career development and incentives have a significant effect on employee performance with an R Square value of 0.752. This shows that career development and incentives have an effect of 75.2% on employee performance while the remaining 24.8% are influenced by other variables not examined in this study.Keywords: Career Development, Incentives, Performance.

Abstract

The young generation as the successor to the ideals of the nation have hobbies and talents as well as achievements that must be developed for the achievement of intellectual and quality human resources. can give birth to strong cadres to achieve the national goals of the nation, in order to strengthen brotherhood, strengthen national unity. The purpose of this study is to find out the meaning of nationalism at the reality level, the level of representation and the level of ideology in the 3 Srikandi film.               This study uses a qualitative method with an approach that is analyzed by Jhon Fiske's semiotic analysis The subjects and objects in this study were observations of audio and visual displays in scenes from the 3 Srikandi film with data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, and literature study.               The results of this study indicate there is an Analysis of the Meaning of Nationalism in the film 3 Heroine. Analysis of the Meaning of Srikandi 3 film nationalism seen from three levels proposed by John Fiske, namely: at the level of reality, Analysis of the Meaning of Nationalism In the film 3 Srikandi looks at aspects of appearance, manner of speech, behavior, gestures, expressions and environment. At the level of representation, the technical and conventional codes contained in the 3 Srikandi film which depicts the Analysis of the Meaning of Nationalism in the 3 Srikandi film are reflected through aspects of the camera, lighting, music and sound. The level of ideology that can be concluded, the depiction of the values of nationalism so that the ideology inferred is the ideology of patriarchy and feminism.

Abstract

An epidemic of a disease is an issue that can worry the international community that can affect national and global activities. One of the outbreaks that have caught the world's attention is the Ebola epidemic that occurred in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2018-2019. The Ebola epidemic that occurred in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2018-2019 was the largest outbreak in the history of the Democratic Republic of Congo and the second largest in the world after the Ebola epidemic that hit Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea in 2016. The purpose of this study is to determine the role WHO as the World Health Organization in controlling the Ebola outbreak caused by the Ebola virus.In this study, the author uses a pluralism perspective which assumes that the state is not always the main actor and the sole actor and group behavior as the level of analysis. The theory used in this research is the theory of international organizations which emphasizes that international organizations are formal, sustainable structures that are formed by mutual agreement and play an important role in international relations. This research method uses descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach.The research finds that WHO is working with local, regional governments and partners to managing the Ebola outbreak. WHO also acts as an Instrument, Arena and Actor as a form of commitment to controlling the outbreak. Various steps were taken through various programs such as, socialization, investigation, vaccination, coordination, operational support, logistics and funds aimed at minimizing transmission of the Ebola virus. WHO and its partners continue to strive to deal with this outbreak to achieve the highest possible level of health in line with the WHO Goals.Keywords: Democratic Republic of the Congo, WHO, Ebola Outbreak

Abstract

Supervision can be interpreted as a process for implementing what work is planned, assessing it and if necessary correcting it with the intention that the implementation of the work is in accordance with the original plan. The Riau Provincial Cultural Office carries out guidance and supervision of the main Nila Museum. Supervision is carried out through an assessment of Museum institutions and Museum management. But supervision has not been carried out optimally by the Culture Service, because the main Nila Museum has lost some rare collections. The loss of several collections of items in the Museum is the formulation of the problem in this stud.             The purpose of the this research is to find out the supervision of the Riau Provincial Cultural Office on the main Sang Nila Museum and to find out the inhibiting factors for the Culture Service in supervising the main Sang Nila Museum in Pekanbaru City. This research approach uses a qualitative approach, the type of research used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in this study are interwiews and documentation, of data analysis techniques used are descriptive qualitative analysis.             The result of this research is that supervision is carried out through an assessment of the institution and management of the Museum. This shows that the supervision carried out the Museum institution is in accordance with the applicable rules. By carrying out supervision of government agencies will not be separated from obstacles or obstacles. In supervising th Riau Provincial Cultural Office, ther are also obstacles in supervising the main Nila Museum. One of the obstacles faced by the Riau Provincial Cultural Office is human resources. In organizing this the department experienced a shortage of staff, then the obstacle faced by the department of Cultural in supervising the Museum was the budget. Keywords: Supervision, Culture Service, Museum

Abstract

Astra Berseri Village is an Astra Sustainable Social Contribution program that is applied to the community with the concept of sustainable development. PT Astra Internasional Tbk as a company in Indonesia created a CSR program called Kampung Berseri Astra (KBA). The CSR program provided by Astra covers 4 aspects, namely education, health, environment and entrepreneurship. This study aims to determine the best practice of Astra's CSR program with its achievement in SDGs and supporting factors of PT. Astra Internasional Tbk in the Astra Berseri Village (KBA) in Pekanbaru City. This study uses the concept of best practice quoting from Eko Prasojo (2004: 4), which explains that there are 3 indicators namely Impact, Partnership, and Sustainability. This type of research uses descriptive methods with a qualitative approach. The data collection method in this study used observation and interviews. As for data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the first research, showed that the Astra CSR program in Kampung Berseri Astra (KBA) Pekanbaru City was categorized best practice because the program had been well realized and had a positive impact on the people of the Astra Sereri Village in Pekanbaru City. Second, the supporting factors for Astra's CSR best practice program are Communication, Community Participation, facilities and infrastructure. Keywords: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Sustainable Development (SDGs), Best Practices.

Abstract

This research will analyze how Brunei is trying to diversify its economy through the halal product industry. Brunei’s economy relies on its oil exports and the country planned to diversify its economy. The halal industry is starting to play an important role in the global market. Supported by the availability of natural and human resources as well as the supporting social, cultural and political conditions, Brunei has adopted a strategy to contribute to the global halal market in the halal food industry sector.This qualitative research is document analysis using data from books, journals, newspaper, and websites to describe the issues raised. National-state level analysis with liberalism perspectives about economic diplomacy theory was use to explain the strategies used by Brunei.The result showed that Brunei focus on developing domestic products with a strict certification commitment. Brunei also cooperates with using Brunei Halal branding on products manufactured by companies from other countries. Investment in national companies and the establishment of special industrial areas is also carried out as part of a strategy to deal with the expansion of the halal market which is very important for Brunei’s interest.Keywords: Strategy, Economic Diplomacy, Halal Food Industry, Global Halal Market.

Abstract

Writing a thesis entitled the waste management by the environmental and cleanliness department of Pekanbaru city in waste handling in the city of Pekanbaru in 2018, waste management in Indonesia is regulated in law number 18 of 2008 concerning waste management. The environmental and sanitation office of Pekanbaru city an SOP ( Standard of service operation) to simplify and clarify the affair of waste management, however so far optimal waste management has not been achieved. As for there are inhibiting factors in waste management itself, namely internal and external factors. This research was conducted at the Department and Cleanliness of Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study is to describe the flow of waste management by the environmental and cleanliness department of Pekanbaru city in waste management in the city in 2018. The theory used is management theory from Rahardjo Adisasmita, the research method used is descriptive qualitative with interview and documentation data collection techniques the type of data used is secondary data and primary data. The final conclusion of this research is that by using management theory, the implementation of waste management has not been fully implementation with the theory that has been used. Keywords : Management, Trash, Regional Government.

Abstract

The background of the writing of this thesis is based on the researcher’s view of the phenomenan that occurs in population control, including mandatory governmental affairs tha are not related to basic service and enter into concurrent government affairs in controlling the population quantity in pelalawan regency in 2018.Researchers used a qualitative approach. This type of research is descriptive. Research location in the office of women’s empowerment, child protection, population control and family planning (DP3AP2KB) Pelalawan regency. With the type and source of research data is divided into primary data in the form of purposive informant retrieval techniques and secondary data in the form of supporting data related to population growth.  Data collection technique ised interviews and documentation, while data analysis was carried out using quantative analysis.Based on the result of research and discussion, it is know that in controlling the population quantity in pelalawan regency in 2018. It has been going well, this is indicated by the emergence of several strategies in controlling population quantity in pelalawan regency in 2018, namely by implementing several population programs. For example the kampung KB program as the main program. Meanwhile, the obstacle to pelalawan regency is the devision distict so that it attracts the attention of the outside community to stay in pelalawan regency because whatever is categorized as the result of expansion, there will be rapid development and growth. Abstract

The role of the tourism and culture department in the effort to preserve the randai tradition in Kuantan Singingi Regency in 2017 is still not optimal. This is known from the phenomenon of the lack of facilities and infrastructure for the randai tradition, the lack of communication and publication of the randai tradition, and the lack of attention of the younger generation to the randai tradition. This study aims to determine: (1) the role of the Department of Tourism and Culture in the effort to preserve the Randai tradition in Kuantan Singingi Regency; (2) the factors that hinder the preservation of the randai tradition in Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The data collection technique used is the interview technique. Where the interview data were obtained from five informants. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the role of the Department of Tourism and Culture in the effort to preserve the Randai tradition in Kuantan Singingi Regency can be said to have been carried out, because there have been coaching activities in the randai group, and equipment assistance provided to some randai groups. Although there are still some randai groups who have not received proper guidance and assistance. Through the 12 roles of the Department of Tourism and Culture in preserving culture, only two roles have not been implemented properly, namely the role in preparing materials for formulating policies and strategies for cultural preservation, and preparing technical guidelines for cultural preservation. Keywords : Service Role, Cultural Preservation, Randai Tradition
