Abstract

This research will explain about Italia policies regarding immigrants especially in time of immigrant crises that happened, Italia geography position that is near to Mediterranian Sea put Italia as a target of migrants for seeking a better live and leave their origin country. As a result, migrants flow to Italy keep increasing and hard to control, the disagreement and the unbalance responsibilities that given from European Union to its member to similize the policies in response to migrants. It requires Italia to take a policy to tighten up immigrants to get into their territory and stricter their rules. This research also uses  library research methods and qualitative methods. This research use library research methods and qualitative research. This analyses use unit/state level analysis, the using of securitization theory due to the emergence of security agenda that is occurred. Constructivism perspective is also use in this research to anaylize the phenomenon that occurs, this perspective is use due to Italia policies is the result of European Union regime and stigmatization towards immigrant.However, Italia policies related in border control and also in managing overflow migrants result in dilemma, the unability of European Union and disagreement in European Union regime of the countries that become the main spurpose of the migrant that suffers.   Key words: Immigrants, Italia, Mediterranian Sea, European Union Agreement

Abstract

This study aims to see the implementation of the BIMP EAGA collaboration between Indonesia and the Philippines. The cooperation between the two countries is the first cooperation in the Sulawesi-Sulu economic corridor. This collaboration has objectives that are in line with the ASEAN Development Goals. Brunei Darussalam-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) was established in 1994 by four countries as a joint strategy for members of the socio-economic development of less developed and geographically remote areas of the countries.This reseach adopted a liberalism perspective that supported by the new regionalism theory. Secondary data from books, journals, magazines, news, and official documents and reports were utilized to describe the phenomenon.The conclusion from Indonesian-Philippines cooperation in BIMP-EAGA is implementation in the field of transportation. With only a few weeks to go, the obstacle is that there is no divesification of goods between two countries transported by the interconnectivity.Keywords: BIMP-EAGA, connectivity, growth area, sub-regional cooperation

Abstract

Promotion is something that is very useful in the marketing mix of a company in offering goods and services. This promotional activity not only serves as a means of communication between consumers and companies, but promotion also serves to persuade consumers to buy and use services according to what someone needs. Tenayan Raya Pekanbaru agro-tourism is an agro-tourism which has an educational tourism concept. This study aims to determine how the promotion at Agro-tourism Tenayan Raya Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to examine the problem under study by making three key informants as sources, namely owners, managers, and employees. While the data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the overall results of the interview answers say that the promotion in Tenayan Raya Agro-tourism is quite good, but still needs to be improved. Keywords : Promotion, Agro-tourism, Tourism Objects.

Abstract

Japan is one of Asian countries which uses palm kernel shell as raw material which used as bio energy. The demand of palm kernel shell in Japan is increasing up to 40% per year. Behind the high demand for japan, the Indonesian government has not set a renewable tariff, it makes the founders difficult to sell their products. This research is aimed to know the rationale of the decision made by the Indonesian government to set the export tariff of palm kernel shell in accordance with CPO cost.This research uses protectionism theory which is defined as the policy of governments which intentionally made to protect domestic producers from the international competitor. This theory is particularly relevant to the Indonesian government’s policies that have not been rigid in setting export tariff, because the export tariff of palm kernel shell which accordance with  the cost of CPO globally.The result of this research shows these followings facts. Firstly the Indonesian government wanted to redirect the sales to Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), because the government prefer the use of Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Biomassa (PLTBm) rather than Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) due the fact that PLTBm is safer for the enviroment. Secondly, the government planned to upgrade the product of palm kernel shell to briquette (GVC). By producing briquette instead of palm kernel shell, Indonesia will export higher value products than the low-priced palm kernel shell. Thirdly, the government of Indonesia did not immediately create the regulation of the palm kernel shell export prohibition, instead the government of Indonesia creates the regulation of export control trough finance ministry regulation No.136/PMK.011/2015 and the fund management of palm plantation on finance ministry No.133/PMK.05/2015Keywords: CPO cost globally, export tariff, finance ministry regulation, green energy, palm kernel shell.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of country of origin on customer loyalty with brand image as an intervering variable for consumer surveys of Samsung smartphone products in Pekanbaru. The independent variable is country of origin (X) and the intervening variable is brand image (Z). Meanwhile, what is used as the dependent variable (Y) is customer loyalty. This research uses a questionnaire with a scale of measurement using a Likert scale. The analysis technique used is SEM and PLS analysis. Data analysis using linear regression analysis using SmartPLS 3.3 softwareThe population in this study were 100 consumers of Samsung smartphone products in Pekanbaru who were obtained using the Slovin formula. The results of the tests conducted show that country of origin has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, country of origin has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, brand image has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty and country of origin has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty with brand image as a intervening variables.Keywords: Country of Origin, Brand Image, Customer Loyalty.

Abstract

PT. PLN (Persero) as a State-Owned Enterprise (SOEs) have to implement the Good Corporate Governance Principles properly according to regulation of SOEs Minister number Per-01/MBU/2011 about the Implementation of Good Corporate Governance Principles in SOEs. However, in reality the principles are not properly implemented. There were several problems during the COVID-19 pandemic that caused many complaints from the public. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the implementation of the Good Corporate Governance principles by PT. PLN (Persero) during COVID-19 pandemic in Pekanbaru city. This research used a descriptive qualitative research approach. The researcher used the Good Corporate Governance theory from the Organization for Economics Cooperation and Development (OECD) which is based on 5 indicators, namely Transparency, Accountability Responsibility, Independence and Fairness. The data Collection techniques used in this research are interviews, observations and documentation studies. The result of this research indicates that the implementation of the Good Corporate Governance principles by PT. PLN (Persero) during COVID-19 pandemic in Pekanbaru city was not optimal. This can be seen from the poor implementation for three indicators of the Good Corporate Governance based on regulation of SOEs Minister number Per-01/MBU/2011, namely Transparency, Accountability and Responsibility. Abstract

Technology of communication which has been progressed very rapidly is used by PT  Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper, an international companies. This company is prone to bad issues related to policies and environmental conditions, whereas in fact PT RAPP is based on the 5C principle that pioneered by Mr. Sukanto Tanoto as the company founder. The task of PT RAPP’s Digital Media Team is to present the company's operational activities through social media platforms, which are Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. The purpose of this study is to find out the systematic planning of Digital Media team and Social Media Managers, the potential of social media to improve the company’s image through the usage of social media and the impact of the 5C principles of PT.RAPP.               This study uses qualitative research method with an exploratory approach. The data which used on this study was ontained by  observation, interviews, and documentation. There are six informants in this study that chosen based on purposive technique. To check the validity, the  writer used a triangulation technique.               The results of this study are that PT RAPP's social media is useful in improving the image of company that has planning system which arranged by Digital Media Team and Social Media Manager. It's role are preparing contents for every week and month (content plan), monitoring and improving content performance (schedule monitoring), reading trends and predicting (benchmarking) and in practice there are other role as Anlyst Data. There are 3 potential things provided by PT RAPP's social media, which are: fast, near and real time. The impact of the 5C principle has been felt by the surrounding community (Good for community), the company tries to protect the environment in a sustainable manner (Good for Climate), Paper one is a product that has received certificates of national and international standards (Good for Customer) and the company is following the  regulations as a Responsible and Sustainable company (Good for Country), and all these impact at least give benefit for company (Good for Company). Keyword : Social Media, Image, Princip 5C

Abstract

This research focuses on the impact of market expansion carried out by the Alibaba Group in Indonesia. Alibaba Group Holding Ltd is one of the multinational companies (corporations) that are currently growing rapidly in the field of digital business (e-commerce). Alibaba Group is actively expanding its business to various parts of the world. The European and American regions have successfully become targets for its expansion. Since 2015, Alibaba Group began to expand its business operation network to the Asia-Pacific region. Of all the countries in the Asia-Pacific region, it turns out that Indonesia is the main e-commerce market target. Alibaba makes acquisitions and investments in Indonesia. Alibaba acquired 67% of Lazada and invested US $ 1 billion in Lazada and TokopediaThis research uses library research method with qualitative design. Data and information are obtained through literature review or document analysis (secondary data) based on sources from books, journals, scientific articles, and printed and electronic mass media. This research uses a neoliberal perspective and the Multinational Corporation analysis. It uses Complex Interdependence theory by Robert O Keohane and Joseph S. Ny and Foreign direct Investment theory.Overall, The expansion carried out by Alibaba Group has had a good impact on Tokopedia and the Indonesian e-commerce world. This is proven because Tokopedia is included in the top four e-commerce sites that are most visited every month in the Southeast Asian market. Abstract

This research was motivated by the simultaneous election of regional heads of Riau Province for the third wave. In this election, the Central KPU targets Riau people's participation to reach 70%. However, in its implementation, it was only able to get 54% of the total votes from the 363,530 DPT in Bengkalis Regency. This makes Bengkalis Regency only ranked 10th out of 12 regencies / cities in Riau Province. This of course is not good news for the democratic system in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the strategy of the Bengkalis KPU in increasing the participation of strategic theory, political participation theory, political socialization theory. The writing method used in this thesis is qualitative. The types of data in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative.The results of this study indicate that the KPU's strategy is to increase public participation through: (1) Strengthening Strategies, efforts are made to increase the capacity and quality of the organizers of the election for Governors and Deputy Governors through technical guidance and improve communication and information disclosure through information boards, mass media, through mosque and smart home stakeholders. (2) Rationalization Strategy, the effort made is by socializing face to face communication such as going to campus, schools, ramadhan safaris and socializing various media such as Facebook, WhatsApp, KPU website of Bengkalis Regency, television, radio, newspapers, banners, billboards, leaflets and media props. (3) Persuasion strategies, conducting leisurely walks, roadshows, establishing stands at beach party festivals, and conducting interactive dialogues on radio and and television, of course with the assistance of the Riau Provincial KPU. (4) Confrontation strategy, in the form of socialization of how to vote and the disadvantages of not voting, the KPU invites the public to vote through a sermon in a mosque with the theme of choosing a leader. The supporting factors for the implementation of the Bengkalis KPU strategy are the availability of adequate human resources, professionalism, support from the government and stakeholders. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors were limited funds, number of personnel, area, and lack of public response in socialization. The author concludes that the Bengkalis KPU has implemented these four strategies with the existing supporting factors. However, there are also several inhibiting factors that make this strategy less than optimal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to: (1) To find out the driving factors of students with hedonism, (2) To identify the socioeconomic background of parents of students who are concerned with hedonism. This research uses qualitative methods. The subject of this research is a student of Management of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau. The data is taken by way of in-depth interviews. The results showed that: (1) The pattern of student hedonism in Pekanbaru as well as shopping for branded goods at a high price for high satisfaction and confidence. Hanging out and spending time on the mall with friends for hours by showing off advanced gadgets is phenomenal culture among students who are many in instagram photos.  (2) The effect of the pattern of student hedonism in Pekanbaru is consumptive behavior that is to spend money to buy goods without seeing the value of the using, but the goods are purchased only for pleasure only without the need. This seems extravagant because it wastes money to buy various things that are not important, just to show off the brand / expensive goods. An instant mentality that teaches youth not to want to go through a convoluted process of confronting a happiness. (3) The motivation of students in Pekanbaru in the application of hedonism is in terms of weekend and recreation. According to them spending time shopping branded goods, watching movies, and hanging out in cafes is the main reason for the application of hedonism behavior among students. They feel weekend and recreation is one of the most important activities in the mindset of various busyness. They feel more happy after the walk and spend time in the mall with friends. Keyword : hedonism lifestyle, brand, and student
