Abstract

Responses in the world of tourism are the opinions or point of view of visitors and tourists in understanding a tourist destination. This research was conducted at the Comforta Hotel Dumai located at jl. jend. Sudirman no. 58, Dumai- Riau- Indonesia. This study aims to determine the responses of sales marketing employees at the Comforta Hotel Dumai. This study uses a Quantitative Descriptive method to process data obtained in the field through interviews, observations, questionnaires and documentation study all information collected and studied so that it becomes a complete unit (Sugiono. 2000). Whereas for the sample in the study as many as 3 respondents, the data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation study using a likert scale as a measuring tool. Based on the results of research that has been done, the response of sales marketing employees at the Comforta Hotel Dumai with sub-variables of Physical Needs(86,6%), Security Needs (50,0%), Social Needs(90,0%), Appreciation Needs (66,6%) and Self-actualization Needs (83,3%) with good research conclusions.  Keywords: Motivation, Sales marketing, Hotel

Abstract

The focus of this research is to analyze the motives of China to increase cooperation with the Mekong River Commission, an organization whose members are lower Mekong basin countries, namely Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. China, which is the upper Mekong, was initially not at all interested in working with the MRC and was only content with dialog partner status. However, since the 2000s, China, with its steadily increased power and hegemonic projection in the region, has changed its approach in dealing with the MRC. China has shown a great interest in increasing cooperation with the MRC. This change certainly raises a question to China’s grown interest in MRC.This research uses the neorealism perspective that focuses on how states interact in order to survive the anarchical international system. Neorealism considers that international cooperation will open up opportunities to achieve the power to fulfill national interests, especially to maintain the existence of the state (survival). By becoming a hegemon, a country can influence policies in international cooperation to reach national interests. Data collection in this research was collected through literature study. This research shows that China's motive for increasing cooperation with the MRC is because China needs the energy of the Mekong River to fulfill its growing energy demand. China then built a hydropower dam project on the Mekong River. In responding to various criticisms and rejection of dam construction, China used its hegemonic status by persuading the downstream countries through investment and following cooperation rules that benefited China economically. Keywords: China, Mekong River Commission, Hegemon, Mekong River and Hydropower

Abstract

Sungai Intan Village Tembilahan Hulu District is one of the villages with the highest rate of open free in the Tembilahan Hulu District area. The community-based total sanitation program has entered the village but there has been no change, the community is still defecating anywhere. This study aims to determine the community towards open defecation free and the factors that influence community response. The method used in this study was quantitative method with cross sectional study design. The population of this research was 725 households. The technique of determining the sample was used the Random Sampling technique with the sample total was 88 households. Data analysis used product moment correlation. The results of the community response study were divided into three categories namely attention, attitude, action. The attention response received a response of 55 people with a percentage of 62.5%. The response of community attitudes got a negative response of 56 people with a percentage of 63.6%. The response of the action got a negative response of 60 with a percentage of 68.2%. Factors related to community response to open defecation in Sungai Intan Village Tembilahan Hulu District Indragiri Hilir Regency sequentially are knowledge with attention response has an r value of 0.516, knowledge with attitude response has an r value of 0.369, knowledge with action response has r value of 0.318, economics with attention response has r value of 0.490, economics with attitude response has value r of 0.379, economy with action response has r value of 0.273, culture with attention response has r value of 0.461, culture with attitude response has r value of 0.328, culture with action responses has an r value of 0.314. Keywords : Response and open defecation free

Abstract

A message has a different meaning between one individual and another. Then the message relates to the interpretation problem that received it. The present meaning is a social construction. This research aims to determine the motivation of students in the achievement of Riau University in 2019 female gender. The research informant is a student who participated in the selection of outstanding student (PILMAPRES) Riau university of 2019 especially female student located in the University of Riau. In this research the authors used purposive sampling techniques where this technique includes the people selected on the basis of certain criteria made based on research objectives. Then the data is analyzed using qualitative method. In this research, the author finds the character of the background difference between the informant which does not affect the motivation of the informant in participating in the outstanding student selection and in following the process of learning teaching in the classroom. For her, the pattern of life on campus and environment is very influential in participating pilmapres. In addition, the authors find that the meaning of education is very important considering that education includes a fundamental need for every individual, including (1) Education as a container of self-development, and (2) education as a supporting career and goals. The factors that encourage the informant to participate in outstanding student selection consist of various motives, including because the informant considers the outstanding student selection as an event model role, a self-proving event and an event to add insight to every finalically.  Keywords : Outstanding Student, Motivation.

Abstract

The implementation of the Bestuurs Plan in Citradamai Village in 2013-2018 is still not in accordance with what was planned. This is due to the lack of public participation and a lack of budget funds. The purpose of this study is to see the implementation of the Bestuurs Plan in Citradamai Village, Rangsang District, Meranti Islands Regency in 2013-2018. And to find out what are the obstacles of the Citradamai Village Government in implementing the 2013-2018 Bestuurs Plan. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive analysis case studies. Data collection techniques with interviews as primary data and literature study as secondary data        The theoretical concept used by the researcher is the Bestuurs Plan which has indicators in four basic stages of planning, namely: setting goals, formulating the current situation, identifying supporting and inhibiting factors towards goals and formulating steps to achieve goals. This research uses qualitative research methods, with descriptive data review. In collecting data, researchers used interview and documentation techniques.                   The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Bestuurs Plan in Citradamai Village, Kepulauan Meranti Regency in 2013-2018 is still ineffective. This can be seen from the large number of development plans in Citradamai Village that are still not realized and even not realized at all compared to other villages in Rangsang District. In addition, the obstacle is not yet optimal in the performance of the Citradamai Village government because Citradamai Village is an pemkaran village, this causes the implementation of the Bestuurs Plan in Citradamai Village not according to what was desired. Keywords: Bestuurs Plan, Implementation, Planning Stages

Abstract

This research will explain Indonesia's foreign policy during its time as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the period 2019-2020. The struggle to become a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council is not a short process for Indonesia. The desire to become a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council has existed since 2009, but Indonesia officially announced its nomination in 2016. Until finally on June 8, 2018, Indonesia was successfully elected as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2019-2020 period. This is the fourth time Indonesia has been entrusted with the task of being a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, after being elected last in the 2007-2008 period. Therefore, this research will explain what foreign policies were made by Indonesia when it was elected as a non-permanent member of the UNSC for the 2019-2020 period, and what factors influenced Indonesia to take these policies.The research method used in this research is qualitative data analysis method with descriptive type. The data collection technique uses primary data collection methods and secondary data. Meanwhile, the level of analysis used in this research is the state level analysis.            Based on the research results obtained, it can be seen that Indonesia's foreign policy when elected as a non-permanent member of the UNSC for the 2019-2020 period consists of 4 priorities and 1 main concern. These policies are creating a world peace ecosystem through a dialogue approach and active participation in UN peacekeeping missions, increasing synergy between the UN Security Council and regional organizations in overcoming conflicts in the region, increasing efforts to combat terrorism and extremism, ensuring synergy between peace building and sustainable development, as well as the Palestinian issue which is Indonesia's main concern in the UN Security Council. Meanwhile, there are also factors that influence Indonesia in making these policies, starting from setting internal and external motivation, information flow, the influence of various international politics, and the situation when decisions are made. Keywords : Indonesia, The UN Security Council, Foreign Policy

Abstract

This writing recommends to describe the process of making, packaging and carrying out the promotion of dondol kedondong which is a typical souvenir of Rengat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, the research subjects are owners of the dodol kedondong KUBE Rendri industry, dodol kedondong traders and buyers of dodol kedondong. Data collection is done by observational studies, in-depth interviews and documentation. Analysis of the data used in this study, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusions.Kedondong Dodol as a typical souvenir Rengat District Indragiri Hulu Regency is the right thing. Visitors are very satisfied with the dodol kedondong because it has good taste, the right texture, arouse the appetizing aroma, attractive color and practical packaging. The appropriate price and location of sales makes it easy for visitors to buy dondol kedondong products. Abstract

The peatland restoration strategy is an effort made by the government to accelerate the recovery and restoration of the hydrological function of damaged peat. This is in accordance with Presidential Regulation No. 1 of 2016 concerning the Peatland Restoration Agency. In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the duties and functions of the Peatland Restoration Agency in the Riau Province, the Riau Province Regional Peat Restoration Team was formed, considering that Riau Province is one of the provinces that has become a priority for peatland restoration. Efforts have been made to restore peatlands through the 3R program, namely rewetting, revegetation and revitalization. With this program, it is hoped that it will be able to prevent and reduce the level of forest and peatland fires in Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to determine how the implementation of the peatland restoration strategy by the Regional Peatland Restoration Team in Riau Province and to find out the factors that hamper the implementation of the peatland restoration strategy by the Regional Peatland Restoration Team in Riau Province. This research uses purposive sampling technique with the type of qualitative research. using a descriptive approach and the required data both primary and secondary data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation then analyzed based on research problems. The results of this study indicate that: first, the implementation of the peatland restoration strategy by the Regional Peat Restoration Team in Riau Province is still not optimal. Second, the inhibiting factor in implementing the strategy of the Riau Province Regional Peat Restoration Team in restoring peatlands is the lack of coordination and human resources. Keywords : Strategy, Peatland Restoration, Regional Peat Restoration Team (TRGD)

Abstract

Drug addictioan is a disease that can be cured with a stro effort and will for victims of abusers and effort to minimize the dependence on using drugs are rehabilitation efforts. And the persons who does it is called resilent. Resilence for drugs abusers requires a system to regulate how a drug addict can recover from addiction trought programs that are carried out in order to prevent abusers from relapse. The purpose of this study was to determin the role of UD. Jasa Sahabatas in instation that becomes a place for subjects to undrgo rehabilitation as a resilence. This research method of fenomenologi type with observation and interviews. The results is by working at Quarry UD. Jasa Sahabat, they are more able to minimize the dependence of using drugs to stop completely from being addicted to using drugs with a variety of motivasions and goals.Keywords : Resilence of Former Drug Addicts Who Make UD. Abstract

The food and beverage industry is one of 5 sectors focused on development by the Indonesian government, because it has a big influence on the country's economic growth. So the food and beverage industry is included in "Making Indonesia 4.0". South Korea is one of Indonesia's export destinations because it is considered to have a great opportunity. The complementary nature of each country's resources and excellence makes the economic and political processes that occur generate great cooperation opportunities This qualitative research uses the perspective of liberalism and is analyzed using the theory of cooperation with the level of state analysis. Data comes from books, journals, news, documents from several ministries, articles, and websites. Based on the big influence of the food and beverage industry for Indonesia, as well as the large opportunities for export to South Korea, the Indonesian government made various efforts to maximize its exports, among others through improving cooperation with South Korea, improving product quality, and product introduction through various exhibitions and social media.  Keywords: Efforts, Exports, Influences, Food and Beverages Product, Indonesia Goverment, South Korea
