Abstract

This research is about KH. Abdurrahman Wahid’s pluralism tough in building tolerance from 1999 to 2001. The purpose of this research is to find out the pluralistic thinking of KH. Abdurrahman Wahid in attitude towards diversity in society like religion, views, race, nation, culture and other differences from one human to another. The fight KH. Abdurrahman Wahid in establish pluralism is not just a discourse and theory but also at the level of practice which is reflected in his policies and actions. However, in reality, he often creates controversy and got a lot criticism from various circles, even though he continues to campaign for pluralism until the end of his life, in the name of building tolerance.               This study uses a library research method with a historical - philosophical approach.               The result of this research is in Indonesia pluralism is still a sensitive discourse and controversy. For those who are pro, pluralism is an inevetablity tfrom Allah SWT. Therefore, pluralism must be accepted and become a necessity. Meanwhile, for those who are contra, pluralism is understood as misguided understanding because teaches all religions is same and true. In this case KH. Abdurrahman Wahid became one of the figures who was pro against pluralism. For KH. Abdurrahman Wahid pluralism is not a negative concept. Pluralism is in line with Islamic values, Pancasila and also the state constitution. For him, pluralism is a fact and is a necessity because of the primordial differences between humans into various religions, races, ethnicities, nations, languages which cannot be avoided and all must be treated equally in all dimensions of national and state. Pluralism of KH. Abdurrahman Wahid divided into three things; Justice, freedom of religion, and freedom of thought or opinion freedom as a human right. In their efforts to uphold pluralism in society, they often got pros and contras. Many agree and there are also many who disagree. Therefore, he has received many obstacles from various groups or organization, including the Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) which states that Pluralism is haram because it considers all religions to be the same.  Keywords : Political thought, Pluralism, Tolerance

Abstract

This study aims to determine the public perception to street prostitutes. This research was conducted in RT 004 Bukit Batrem Village, East Dumai Subdistrict, Dumai City with the number of respondents 61 families (heads of families) from the total community of RT 004 as many as 159 families (heads of families). The research data were obtained through research instruments regarding the characteristics of the respondent's identity, the public's perception to street prostitutes, and factors that influence the public's perception. This study uses a survey method with a quantitative approach. Data analysis in this study also describes the data by presenting the mean, median, maximum value, minimum value and distribution table. In this study the authors used the application of SPSS (Statistic Program for Social Sciences) version 20.0. This research is generally used to explain the characteristics of the RT 004 community as respondents and also their response to the presence of street prostitutes in their residential areas. Where in the characteristics of the respondents, the writer looks at the gender, age, ethnicity, level of education, occupation, and length of stay of each respondent. As for the community response, the author has provided several lists of questions in the research questionnaire that has been made in advance. For the perception itself the writer divides it into two categories, namely within the optimal limit if the community can survive (Homeostatis) and outside the optimal limit if the community is disturbed by the presence of street prostitutes and feels stressed.  Keywords : Perception, Street prostitutes

Abstract

The Directorate General of Customs (DJBC) is a gate for export and import activity. As the entry and exit gates of commodities, it made Customs Agency known as Trade Facilitator. Import activities are very close with smuggling. Smuggling cause the state has material and non-material losses. The smuggling becomes the main concern of Dumai Custom Service and Supervision Office to oversee the commodities that in and out of this country besides their duty, customs service. The purpose of the research is to know the supervision process by Supervisory Custom Service Office (KPPBC) Middle Type Customs B toward onion smuggling in Dumai year 2015 – 2019 and also to know the obstacles in carry out the duty. This is a qualitative research. The techniques have been used in conducted the research is (1) interview and (2) documentation. The conclusion of this research indicates that the supervision duty by Supervisory Custom Service Office (KPPBC) Middle Type Customs B toward illegal onion has not been done maximally because the supervision has not been done effectively, measurement and the standard of supervision still poor, work evaluation at Customs Office is still not maximal, deviation improvement is not working. Factors that obstruct the implementation of Customs Service office Middle Type Customs B is the insufficient number of executive officers, inadequate patrol boats, and the numbers of People port’s as the entry point of illegal onion.Keywords: standard, working evaluation, deviation improvement

Abstract

The growing growth in the digital weorld as it grows with an age that will make people aware of the technology and media literacy, not apart from the industrial 4.0. Directly or indirectly, new media outlets are haunting the official communication patten of health with its audience. The advent of new media is having a very powerfull impact on human life right now one is using internet.The study uses a qualitative method. Research subects amounted to 3 people. Data analysis techniques by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. As well as the technique of checking the validity of the data by extending the participation and triangulation.The results of this study are covid-19 information release by the province of Riau health service was done using platform media such as website, facebook, twiter and Instagram. The management of new media by the ministry of undrmanagement province Riau is carried out by several processes namely process organizational planning, implementation and supervision. Planning a plan consist of content, design, cost, means and time. The organization of the organization of media management by the Riau province health service has a sub human resource and is public and has are expert in managing new media are admin of graphic desaign, and it coders. Actuating is done with some are stage data collection media design and did a publication post. Controlling done with the two ways are preventive caption done before the execution began and repressive surveillance done at the end of new media management. Keywords: Management, New Media, Covid-19

Abstract

This essay examines the technical barriers to trade (TBT) issued by Indonesia’s  partner country, the United States of America, which raises the barrier on Indonesia fishery export. The discussion in this research is the effort of Indonesia on dealing with the TBT: Seafood Import Monitoring Program issued by United States of America. This research applies the Protecsionism theory by Friedrich List to analyze Indonesia's government efforts on protecting their domestic product. The perspective used by the researchers is the perspective of mercantilism which assumes that the international economy is merely not mutually benefical but contains conflict of interest. This circumstance allows the impact where one side lost is a blessing fo the other.As the result of this study, it is found that Indonesia's government withstands the trade barriers from the United States of America by conducting negotiations related to SIMP regulation. In order to minimize the disadvantage that might be occurred due to the SIMP enforcement, these negotiations did not the reach  the WTO negotiations stage but resolved bilaterally. Indonesia also demands capacity building assistance and time compensation which consequently allow them to study and fulfill traceabilty requirements in advance. Abstract

Pekanbaru is the capital city of Riau Province which has excellent potential in tourism and business. Hotel The Zuri is a millennial hotel that suitable for leisure and business. Where's the hotel with the highest swimming pool in Pekanbaru.  This study aims to determine the implementation of health and occupational safety (K3) at the Housekeeping Department, Hotel The Zuri Pekanbaru. This study used a qualitative descriptive method to comply with the problem analysis based on data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The implementations of occupational health and safety include occupational health problems, the scope of occupational health, health problems that may occur due to work, prevention of occupational health and safety problems, principles of occupational health and safety, and basic principles of assisting accidents. Based on the results of the study, conclusions can be drawn that the implementation of occupational health and safety in the Housekeeping Department of The Zuri Hotel Pekanbaru has been carried out well but has not fully complied with the standard operating procedures of K3.                                                                                         Keywords: Hotel, Housekeeping, Occupational Health and Safety

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of the Japanese cultural sector which has undergone various policy changes since the Japanese era in building the empire, to the modern era where Japanese soft power is better known as 'cool japan'. Nowadays, the Japanese government is concerned about the cultural sector as well as military and economic interests.This research is theoretically built using a constructivist perspective, with the theory of public diplomacy. The formulation of all arguments, data, facts, and theoretical frameworks in this study uses a qualitative explanation method. This study also uses the nation-state as the level of analysis.This study aims to explain the form of Japanese cultural diplomacy carried out through The Japan Foundation. The Japan Foundation is an independent institution that is fully responsible for carrying out the objectives of Japanese cultural diplomacy overseas. Abstract

This research can be classified as field research because primary data is obtained from questionnaires and interviews while secondary data is obtained in the form of documentation. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of work motivation on employee performance at BKKBN Riau Province. This research is considered necessary because work motivation is one of the indicators of employee performance and based on recapitulation data on the performance appraisal of Riau Province BKKBN employees in 2015 – 2019 is considered to be experiencing instability. The method used in this study is a quantitative method that uses a sample of 26 respondents, obtained by all employees at the Riau Province BKKBN. This study was analyzed by simple linear, T test, and coefficient of determination (R2) with variable X namely Motivation and Variable Y namely Employee Performance. The results of this study indicate that motivation has a significant effect on employee performance, where the Head of Service as a leader has a role to motivate. This is evidenced by the results of simple regression calculations showing that the level of tcount on the motivation variable is equal to indicates that tcount (3,553)>(2.842). so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted with the meaning that motivation has a significant effect on employee performance. And the coefficient of determination is 0.345, which means that the influence of motivation on employee performance is 34.5% while the remaining 65.5% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Abstract

The need for education is a right for every citizen, without the exception of the right for children with disabilities or special needs. The Indonesian government operates and has a special school to accommodate children with special needs (diffable). The special school is known as the Special School (SLB). Special Schools (SLB) become a means or forum for developing the abilities of children with special needs by providing guidance to Special Schools (SLB) which includes students and their educators. This of course must get special attention from the government.The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of special education programs by the Riau Provincial Education Office in 2018. The location of this research was carried out at the Riau Provincial Education Office and Siak State Special School. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. In collecting data, the writer used interview and documentation techniques.The result of this research is that the Special Education Program by the Riau Provincial Education Office in 2018 cannot be said to be effective. This can be seen from the accuracy of program targets at the Siak State School which have not been achieved and have not met the target. Then the socialization of the program that has been carried out directly by the Riau Provincial Education Office through a coordination meeting with the heads of special schools, however, not all activities are carried out first. Achieving program objectives that have not been achieved due to the development of special schools in Riau Province, especially the Siak State Special School, have not fully achieved the goals. In addition, monitoring is also not effective because it is only carried out at the beginning of the activity by the Riau Provincial Education Office but is not carried out again when the activity is already running. And those that affect the effectiveness of the implementation of this special education program are the quality of the apparatus, the competence of administrators, infrastructure, and also supervision.Keywords : Accuracy of Program Targets, Program Socialization, Program Objectives, Program Monitoring.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of occupational safety and health (OHS) and work motivation to work productivity of production employees at PT. Ramajaya Pramukti Petapahan, Kampar Regency. Occupational safety and health (OHS) and work motivation as independent variables (X1X2) while work productivity as the dependent variable (Y). This research was conducted at PT. Ramajaya Pramukti Petapahan, Kampar Regency, located at Raya Petapahan street, km 27, Kampar, Riau. The research method used is quantitative descriptive analysis. Data obtained from secondary data by the company and primary data through questionnaire measured by a likert scale then processed with SPSS version 22. The sample of this study was 60 respondents. The data analysis technique in this study used simple linear regression and multiple linear regression analysis.            The result showed that occupational safety and health (OHS) had an effect on work productivity with a value of t count > t table (12.270 > 2.00172) and significance (0.000 < 0.05). work motivation has an effect on work productivity with t value > t table (10.579 > 2.00172) and significance (0.000 < 0.05). Occupational safety and health (OHS) and work motivation affectape productivity with F value > F table (101.176 > 3.16) and significance (0.000 < 0.05). It can be concluded that occupational safety and health (OHS) and work motivation simultaneously have a significant and positive effect on the work productivity of employees at PT. Ramajaya Pramukti Petapahan, Kampar Regency. Keywords: Occupational Health and Safety, Motivation, Productivity
