Abstract

This research aims to determine about the procedure for reservations form of Front Office Department at Labersa Grand Hotel and Convention Center Pekanbaru. Reservation form is the process of making a list of guest orders in accordance with existing procedures. Labersa is an abbreviation of "Eight Brothers" which was inaugurated in 2009, Labersa Grand Hotel and Convention Center is located  on  the road  Labersa  -  Parit  Indah,  Pekanbaru  which is  a subsidiary of PT. LABERSA HUTAHEAN. This research to make use qualitative method to analysis set of case, wich to become the key informan in this research as much as three people’s. That is 1  Duty Manager, 1 Reservation Staff and 1Front Desk Agent. Sources were obtained through interview, observation, and documentation. Based on result of this research, the conckusions of this research ate reservation form of front office department has been done, but still needs to be improved raising required so that reservation form will be better in the future. Keywords : Reservation form, Front Office, Hotel

Abstract

This study aims to determine the parenting pattern and the obstacles for scavengers in taking care of their school-age children. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method and involves 6 informants who are Muara Fajar scavengers who have lived for at least 5 years and have school-aged children. Determination of informants using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of this study indicate that the parenting applied by parents of scavengers at Muara Fajar landfill Pekanbaru City leads to democratic, authoritarian and permissive parenting. Democratic parenting is applied by 3 families, 2 tend to be authoritarian and only 1 applies permissive parenting. The obstacles or barriers to parenting scavengers are time and economic condition.  Keywords: Parenting, Scavenger.adaptation

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation and work environment on employee loyalty at PT.Besmindo Andalas Semesta Duri. The independent variables are compensation (X1) and work environment (X2). While the dependent variable is employee loyalty (Y). In this research, the method used is descriptive quantitative analysis with SPSS 24.0 program. The population in this study were permanent employees totaling 65 people, with the sample technique used, namely census/total sampling. Data collection techniques through questionnaires and interviews, types and sources of data using primary data and secondary data, measurement collection techniques using a Likert scale. From the data analysis which includes validity test, reliability test, simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear analysis, determination analysis and significance test with t test (partial) test, and f test (simultaneous). The results of this study indicate that the results of testing the first t test hypothesis, giving compensation to employee loyalty, namely t count (5,064) > t table (1,669) meaning that the effect of compensation has a significant effect on employee loyalty. The two work environments on employee loyalty are t count (8,469) > t table (1,669) meaning that the work environment has a significant effect on employee loyalty. The results of the f test of compensation and work environment have a significant effect on employee loyalty, namely f count (31,645) > (3.15) meaning that the provision of compensation and the work environment simultaneously has a significant effect on employee loyalty. Keywords: Compensation, Work Environtment, Employee Loyality

Abstract

At this time the fulfillment of economic needs continues to increase, especially for those who are married and have children. Meanwhile there are not many job vacancies and competition is getting harder. Therefore, there are some families who decide to make a living far from where they live. In general, family life will live together and spend days in the same place of residence, but for families who choose a commuter marriage, they will live differently from their spouse or child. Due to the increasing number of couples working together and jobs requiring different locations, they temporarily separated. Couples who undergo this relationship will certainly face domestic problems, in household life there are several functions that must be played properly in order to run in balance. In the family a habbit will appear, but all of that is not permanent. Especially for couples who already have children, they must be able to fulfill the function of being good parents for their children. This research will involve 5 informants, and is located in the Tapung sub-district, Kampar district. The method used is descriptive qualitative by observing and conducting in-depth interviews with 5 informants. The results of this study indicate that each family has their own way of living their household life and as parents they will do their best to meet the needs of their children. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of career development and organizational commitment on employee performance at Hotel Tjokro Pekanbaru. This research is located at Hotel Tjokro Pekanbaru. The population in this study includes employees of the Tjokro Pekanbaru Hotel in 2020, totaling 43 employees. The sample used is the census technique. Data analysis used statistical analysis with the help of SPSS. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and interviews. Data testing techniques in this study include validity test, reliability test, simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination test, t-test and f-test to test and prove the hypothesis. The results of the study indicate that Career Development and Organizational Commitment have an influence on Employee Performance at Tjokro Hotel Pekanbaru. Based on the results of the study, obtained an R Squere value of 0.401, meaning that 40% of career development variables and organizational commitment have an effect on employee performance at Tjokro Hotel Pekanbaru.   Keywords: Career development, organizational commitment, employee performance

Abstract

To improve the progress of a tourism object, the role of marketing is needed. Tourism marketing is defined as an effort to facilitate tourism transactions for different groups of people. The purpose of this study was to determine the direct promotion strategy and indirect promotion strategy carried out by the Department of Culture and Tourism in increasing tourist visits at Solop Beach, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The method in this research uses a qualitative approach. The research was conducted at the Department of Culture and Tourism of Indragiri Hilir Regency. The subjects in this study were 5 people, namely 1 head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Indragiri Hilir Regency and 1 head of business development and tourism marketing in Indragiri Hilir Regency and 3 people / visitors. Collecting data using documentation, observation and interviews. Data analysis used descriptive quantitative. The results of the study explain that the direct promotion carried out by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Indragiri Hilir Regency in promoting the tourist attraction of Solop Beach is still ineffective, due to the lack of national and local activities or events that are able to introduce the natural beauty of Solop Beach. Indirect promotion by the Culture and Tourism Office of Indragiri Hilir Regency is also still not optimal in providing information about the development of Solop Beach tourism, such as the availability of updated information from both the official website and social media. The inhibiting factors in the promotion of Solop Beach tourism in Indragiri Hilir Regency include the lack of facilities and infrastructure, limited budget, remote tourist locations, quality resources and lack of awareness for traveling. Keywords: Promotion Strategy, Direct Promotion and Indirect Promotion

Abstract

This study discusses one of contemporary issue in International Relations namely an environmental issue regarding the Greenpeace campaign program in caring Indonesia’s marine coral reef ecosystems. From 2017 to 2021, it is reported that 35,15% of Indonesia’s marine coral reefs are in poor condition. Although a number of efforts have been made to restore coral reefs, they are still too little compared to the destruction caused by humans. Hence, Greenpeace as one of the suitable NGO actively takes part in caring and protecting Indonesia’s marine coral reef ecosystems. This study uses a qualitative method to narrate the destruction of coral reefs phenomenon and to describe the progress of Greenpeace program in carrying out their roles to conserve coral reefs. In order to analyse this case, this study uses Non-Governmental Organization Theory and Pluralism approach.The findings of this study resulted in Greenpeace has been executing their roles as independent actor focusing on environmental issue, namely as a motivator, communicator, dynamisator and facilitator by holding a number of campaign programs in a number Indonesia’s National Park known with their greatest coral reefs diversity which takes place in Raja Ampat Island, Karimunjawa Island and Spemonde Island. Abstract

This research is done to understand how a group, in this case UNICEF, involves in ending child marriage in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is one of the highest rate of child marrige country in the world, influenced by poverty and lack of education. Child marriage is followed by some big risks, young pregnancy, abuse at home, lost access of education, and abandoned by society because of social pressure. Child marriage especially happens to girl that is seen as burden n the family, because they can not do hard job. This research is based on international organisation theory, in group level analysis to understand the role of one group to another in certain issue. The datas are collected by using  qualitative methodology, most of the datas are published by official website of UNICEF, UNFPA, and Bangladesh government, books, and journals that talking about child marriage in Bangladesh.The result of this research showed that UNICEF is trying to end child marriage in Bangladesh in so many ways, including to work along with the government of Bangladesh in the making of National Action Plan to end child marriage in Bangladesh through identification, exploration, data collecting, and NAP as the result.UNICEf also work together with UNFPA in global programme to end child marriage, the result of this programme are social programmes, the making of Kishori Centre, the existence of gender promoters to increase public awareness of gender equality, social support, and public service to end child marriage in Bangadesh. Keywords: UNICEF, Bangladesh, child marriage, UNFPA, gender equality

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable at PT. Sandalwood Putra Lestari. The independent variable is work motivation (X) and the intermediary or mediating variable is job satisfaction (Z). while the dependent variable is employee performance (Y). This study uses a questionnaire with measurements using a Likert scale. Linear regression analysis technique with the help of software SmartPls 3.2.6. the population in this study were 94 employees of PT. Cendana Putra Lestari. From the results of the tests conducted, it shows that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction as a variable. intervention.Keywords: Work Motivation, Employee Performance, Job Satisfaction

Abstract

Consumer satisfaction is one of the benchmarks of the success of the marketing strategy used by a company. Setting the right price and good quality of service provided to consumers will be supporting factors that result in customer satisfaction. This strategy is applied by PT. Pegadaian Panam Pekanbaru Branch. This study aims to determine the effect of pricing and service quality on consumer satisfaction at PT. Pegadaian Panam Pekanbaru Branch (Study of Gold Savings Products PT. Pegadaian Panam Pekanbaru Branch). The method used in this research is descriptive and quantitative statistics. The population in this study were all consumers of gold savings products PT. Pegadaian Panam Pekanbaru Branch from 2016- 2020. Samples were taken as many as 100 respondents using accidental sampling technique. Sources of data used in this study came from primary data obtained through the process of distributing questionnaires which were then tested statistically through the SPSS program. The secondary data used are sales data and data on customer realization targets for the Gold Savings product of PT. Pegadaian Panam Pekanbaru Branch from 2016-2020.The analytical method used in this research is simple and multiple linear regression analysis, by going through the validity test and reliability test. In this study the results obtained are that price fixing (X1) has a significant effect on consumer satisfaction (Y), Service Quality (X2) has a significant effect on Consumer Satisfaction (Y) and Pricing (X1) and Service Quality (X2) have a significant effect on Consumer Satisfaction (Y) at PT.
