Abstract

The company's activism got its name with the rising awareness of young consumers around the world. This new maneuver differs from traditional maneuvers such as corporate social responsibility and corporate political activity. One of the companies that has implemented this activism most intensively is Levi Strauss & Co. Through its rich history of American-inspired activism and corporate values, Levi Strauss & Co. has been recognized as a symbol of American culture. This study will discuss how the strategy carried out by Levi Strauss & Co. in spreading American cultural values.               To answer the questions, the writer will analyze the documents from secondary data such as books, journals, news in newspapers, websites and other relevant data. The collected data will be processed using qualitative methods. This study uses Horkheimer's critical theory as a theoretical basis and Alexander Wendt's constructivism as a perspective.               The results show that today's companies have more power, in their finances and marketing, to influence and shape society as desired. Trends/fashion adjustments are adapted to existing issues such as gender equality, democratic apathy, and armed violence. In this case, Levi Strauss & Co. as an American company that grew up based on American ideals has struggled to bring American society to life closer to their values such as equality and freedom.Keyword(s): Levi’s, LS & Co., american values, corporate activism

Abstract

This research is doing at Pematang Botam, village at Rimba Melintang subdistrict Rokan Hilir district. The purpose of this research to know about influence of land fire for income and expenditure society of Pematang Botam village Rimba Melintang subdistrict. Focus of topic this research is about income and expenditure the farmers and farm woekers. Data analysis in this research is using quantitative descriptive method. Afterthet about formulation of problems in this research are (1) How about influence of land fire for income thr farmers at Pematang Botam village?. (2) How about influence of land fire for expenditure thr farmers at Pematang Botam villege?. Data collection technique in this research is questionnaire. The samples in this research are quantity about 68 peoples that determined by slovin formula. Data analysis teaching in this research give explanation that land fire happen at Pematang Botam village Rimba Melintang subdistrict to have influence an income and expenditure thr farmers also farm woekers. Disadvantage that experienced society caused land fire was very influenced their life sustainability disadvantage of economy caused land fire felt by every society. There are impact of it: (1)healty impact, (2)Education impact, and (3)Lost of income impact. In the farmers’s income, any income concept, that are (1)Income of salary and wage, (2)Income of productive assets, and (3)Income of government. Whereas in expenditure to be found that influenced haousehold food’s expenditure, that are (1)Haosehold income, (2)Education level of haousewife, (3)Quantity of family members, and (4)Quantity of thr raskin rice that they get.    Keywords: Influence, Land Fire, Income, Expenditure

Abstract

Human resources is one component that has an important role in achieving the goals of a company, including the existing human resources at PT. Pusaka Megah Bumi Nusantara Pelalawan Archipelago. The object of this research is PT. Pusaka Megah Bumi Nusantara Pelalawan Archipelago. This study aims to determine how much influence the work environment and work motivation have on employee job satisfaction at PT. Pusaka Megah Bumi Nusantara Pelalawan Archipelago. The research method uses quantitative data collection through questionnaires and interviews. The focus of sampling in this study were 79 employees of PT. Pusaka Megah Bumi Nusantara Pelalawan using purposive sampling technique method. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 25. Based on the results of the research hypothesis test, it shows that there is a partially significant effect between work environment on job satisfaction with tcount 5.487 > ttabel 1.991, work motivation on job satisfaction. with a value of 5,605 > ttabel 1,991. In this study, the strongest contribution to job satisfaction was the work motivation variable with an R square value of 0.290. Furthermore, it is also proven that there is a simultaneous influence between Work Environment and Work Motivation on Job Satisfaction of Employees of PT. Pusaka Megah Bumi Nusantara Pelalawan Archipelago. with the value of Fcount 20,842 > from Ftabel of 3.12. Overall, the results of the simple and multiple regression tests were well received. Next for PT. Pusaka Megah Bumi Nusantara Pelalawan is advised to pay attention to the work environment and work motivation so that employee job satisfaction will increase every year, and for further research to provide the latest theories to increase knowledge and strengthen the results of research. Keywords: Work Environment and Work Motivation, and Job Satisfaction.

Abstract

Policy implementation is one of the most important things in running the government. If the policies that have been made are not implemented properly, it will not have any impact on the target community. Regional Regulation Number 18 of 2013 concerning the Protection and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, this regulation regulates the provision of accessibility for persons with disabilities in Puskesmas. The purpose of this study was to observe the implementation of the Regional Regulation No. 18 of 2013 regarding the Accessibility of Persons with Disabilities at the Rejosari Health Center, Pekanbaru City.This study uses the theory of George Edwards, according to Edwards there are four factors that influence policy implementation, namely, communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure. The research approach used is qualitative with descriptive analysis method by describing phenomena and data accurately. The research location is at the Rejosari Health Center, Pekanbaru City. The types of research data are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used by interview and documentation.The result of this study is to look at the factors that influence the implementation of Regional Regulation No. 18 of 2013 regarding the accessibility of persons with disabilities at the Rejosari Health Center Pekanbaru City. In implementing the policies of the Pekanbaru City Health Office and Pekanbaru City Health Center Rejosari, there is still a lack of socialization of Regional Regulation No. 18 of 2013, so that the essence of the importance of providing accessibility for persons with disabilities at Rejosari Health Center Pekanbaru City has not been conveyed. The Pekanbaru City Rejosari Health Center has not prioritized providing accessibility for people with disabilities at the Puskesmas and there is still a lack of coordination between the Pekanbaru City Health Office, the Pekanbaru City Rejosari Health Center, and parties with disabilities to provide accessibility at the Pekanbaru City Health Center.Keywords: Policy Implementation, Provision of Accessibility in Puskesmas

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the level of financial performance of the ratio of liquidity, solvency, profitability and activity. CV. Niagara Supermarkets Bukittinggi and CV. Kanji Niaga Sejati Bukittinggi during the period 2014-2018.This study uses secondary data in the form of data obtained by the author through secondary data in the form of information and information in the form of financial reports obtained from agencies or companies related to this research which are needed by researchers for analysis of liquidity, solvency, and activities.The results of the analysis show that the analysis of the financial statements of CV. Niagara Supermarkets Bukittinggi for the period 2014-2018 based on Liquidity, Solvency, Profitability and Activity Ratios are: 1). Liquidity ratio analysis, the current ratio is in a "good" condition and the quick ratio is in an "not good" condition; 2). Solvency ratio analysis, debt assets ratio was rated "not good", and debt equity ratio was "good"; 3). Profitability ratio analysis, net profit margin got "not good" score and return on equity got "not good" score; 4). Activity ratio analysis, inventory turnover is in "not good" condition, total assets turnover is in "good" condition. While the results of the analysis of financial statements on CV. Kanji Niaga Sejati Bukittinggi 2014-2018 period based on Liquidity Ratio, Solvency, Profitability and Activity 1). Liquidity ratio analysis, the current ratio is in a "good" condition and the quick ratio is in a "good" condition; 2). Solvency ratio analysis, debt assets ratio was rated “good”, and debt equity ratio was “good”; 3). Abstract

The number of criminal cases committed by teenagers, especially drug abuse, so that the intersection right sector police have a goal to change the pattern and behavior of teenagers so they don't commit drug abuse crimes. This program has received a lot of appreciation and positive response from the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the communicator selection strategy, message delivery strategy, media se- lection strategy, audience determination strategy, and the response to the Simpang Right Police Station in tackling drug use for adolescents.This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. the technique of determining the research subject using the purposive technique. The informants in this study were the head of the Simpang Right Police as the head of the Simpang Right Police who knew various communication strategies carried out by the communicator, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Simpang Right Police as a communicator in the field, five community leaders from the subdistrict head, village head, RT, RW, the head of Karang Taruna, three people. elder of three drug users. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique is Miles and Huberman Interactive. To achieve the validity of the data in this study, the researchers used extended participation, triangulation and peer-checking in discussions.Based on the results of the research that the researchers have done, the results of the research to identify the problem, the first result is the strategy of selecting a communicator in preventing drug abuse for adolescents in accordance with credibility, education, experience and attractiveness. The strategy for delivering messages is in the form of informative messages found in online media and social media, persuasive mes- sages are found in banners or slogans and educative messages are found in socializa- tion and counseling activities. The media selection strategy used was social media such as Facebook @polsek Simpang Kanan and Instagram @Humas_Polsek_Simpang_Kanan, while online media used were www.riauoposition.com, www.gerbangriau.com, www.jurnalpolri.com. The audience selection strategy is all youth and the general public of Simpang Kanan sub-district. Then related to the last identification is the response, where the response related to the strategy conveyed is a positive response from the Simpang Kanan community, namely that they participate in preventing drug abuse for teenagers so that the Simpang Kanan sector police find it easier to carry out their communication strategy.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Mount Singgalang, Pandai Sikek, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra Province. The objectives of this study were to determine: 1) The role of  Travel Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) in the preservation of the Singgalang hiking trail area via Pandai Sikek. 2) The thing that hinders the  Travel Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) from carrying out its role in the preservation of the Mount Singgalang hiking trail area via Pandai Sikek. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method by taking 7 people as informants, namely 5 members of POKDARWIS, 1 chairman of BUMNAK, and 1 person from the surrounding community.      This research uses purposive method and uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that POKDARWIS as the manager has the task of carrying out the tourism potential in Pandai Sikek through the Mount Singgalang climbing route. POKDARWIS has a role as a motivator for Tourism Awareness, Sapta Pesona in the regional environment in tourist destinations, a driving force for Tourism Awareness and Sapta Pesona in regional environments in tourist destinations. The normative role that appears in the implementation in the field starts from a) the role of education is an invitation and appeal to preserve nature b) the control role is POKDARWIS as a manager in maintaining the beauty of the hiking trail area c) the role of information as a provider of information and a means of communication about everything related with hiking trails. The sustainability of the hiking trail area depends on the performance of POKDARWIS as a manager in managing tourism, especially when climbing activities are busy and difficult to control so that it becomes an obstacle for POKDARWIS in maintaining the beauty of the environment. Internal constraints experienced by POKDARWIS such as lack of skills and understanding of members in carrying out their roles as POKDARWIS and other activities outside POKDARWIS activities. Abstract

This research was conducted on the campus of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Riau University, which is located on Jalan HR Soebrantas, Tampan district, Riau. The purpose of this research is to find out: 1) To find out  the level of student activity description is entrepreneurship. 2) To find out  the level of achievement picture (academic, non-academic and study mass) of students who carry out entrepreneurial activities. 3) To find out the relationship between entrepreneurial student activities and student achievement. This study uses a quantitative analysis approach. The population in this study are active students of FISIP UNRI who have a business or business either individually or in groups and online or offline totaling 33 people from 3 different majors where data can be obtained from the Dean of FISIP UNRI for Student Affairs. The sampling technique used the census method. The data instrument is a questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the entrepreneurial activity of students at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Riau University, 12 people (36.4%) are in the sufficient category, 2 people (6.1%) are in the low category and 19 people (57, 6%) are in the high category. Achievement of entrepreneurship students at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Riau University, as many as 21 people (63.6%) were in the moderate category, 10 people (30.3%) were in the high category and 2 people (6.1%) were in the low category. low category. The results of the person product moment co-operation test can be found that the significant value between the entrepreneurial activity variable and student achievement is 0.145, because the value of sig. 0.145 > 0.05. The value of the correlation coefficient between the entrepreneurial activity variable and student achievement is 0.259, which means it is positive. Furthermore, because the coefficient value of 0.259 is in the second interval, which is between 0.20-0.399, so it can be said that the level of relationship between entrepreneurship activities and student achievement is low. Keywords : Student, Achievement, Entrepreneurship

Abstract

The world is being hit by a COVID-19 pandemic including Indonesia, to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the government issued policies that affect community activities that impact almost all sectors of life, sector micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as one of the economic sectors affected by this pandemic. In order for the sector to continue to survive, MSMEs players must be able to survive by creating various steps or strategies. The problem seen in this study is how the culinary sector MSMEs survival strategy during the COVID-19 pandemic, while the purpose of this study is to find out the strategies used by MSMEs so that they can survive in the of a pandemic. This research uses qualitative research methods, namely research procedures that produce descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observed behavior. The data study technique was through observation, interview and documentation. The data were analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques. The results show that to survive during the pandemic, MSMEs players have the following strategies, namely, using marketing through social media in the form of instagram, facebook, whatsapp, E-Commerce, improving product and service quality,and optimizing, Costumer Relationship Marketing.   Keywords: COVID-19 Pandemic, Survival Strategy, MSMEs

Abstract

Cultural diplomacy is a form of government effort to engage in diplomatic relationship using their nation’s culture. This effort is done by introducing and expanding  the information regarding their culture. In practice, cultural diplomacy is implemented through cultural activities in another nation with the goal to pull in the attention of foreigner towards said culture. Pencak Silat is one form of Indonesia’s cultural richness, thus the nations has utilized it as a tool to achieve its interest in the international stage.The perspective used in this research is the Neorealist Perspective in which this perspective assumes that the phenomenon which have happened in this world has cemented the fact that all the nations of this world is engaged with one another in some type of way. The interactions between nations have birthed a new conception that it is impossible for any one nation to fulfill its needs and interest by it lonesome.
