Abstract

This study aims to determine the development and analyze operational costs in improving financial performance at PT. Pegadaian (Persero) Tbk during the 2016-2020 period. The subjects in this study were PT. Pegadaian (Persero) Tbk and research object: Financial statements for the period 2016-2020 which include items in the balance sheet and income statement. The data collection method used in this research is documentation. Data and information obtained from the website of PT. Pegadaian (Persero) Tbk. The data analysis method used in this study is the Analysis of Operating Cost Ratios and Financial Ratios. From the results of data analysis research (1) Operational Cost Analysis with indicators of the Ratio of Operating Costs to Operating Income, the Marketing Cost Ratio and General Administration Expenses Ratio in a healthy condition. (2) Profitability Ratio Analysis with indicators of Net Profit Margin (NPM), and Gross Profit Margin in good condition, while Return On Assets (ROA) and Return On Investment (ROI) are not in good condition.Keywords: Operational Costs, Marketing Costs, General Administration Costs, and  Profitability.

Abstract

Toddlers are part of the age group that is vulnerable to nutritional problems. The problem of stunting is one of the problems faced in the world, especially in poor and developing countries. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that causingstunting and its prevention in the Selatpanjang Kota,Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi. This type of research is a descriptive quantitative research. The total population in this study was 78 children under five who were stunted, in this study the sampling technique was simple random sampling using the slovin formula, a sample of 65 children under five. Data was collected through primary data using questionnaires and secondary data. The results of the study showed that he most dominant factors were mother’s knowledge, other factors were family economy, clean water and sanitation, food security and health services. It is hoped that prosprective mothers can be prepare for their pregnancy by increasing knowledge about maternal and child nutritional health.  Key words: Stunting, factors that cause stunting.

Abstract

Illegal trade is an important issue in Indonesia. One form of illegal trade is the existence of the used clothing trade. Bengkalis Regency, which is an area that interacts directly with Malaysia and is a cross-border location of the Malacca Strait, has the potential for various violations such as clothing smuggling, which is considered to be disturbing the national industry.The theory used in this research is the Mercantilism approach using protectionism theory, where the state tries to protect the domestic economy through various policies issued in accordance with the results of the 2015 Analysis Report on the Import of Used Clothes by the Indonesian Ministry of Trade. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with research data collection techniques, namely primary and secondary data. Through interview and observation techniques with semi-structured interview guidelines with the participants conducted for 2 months.The results of research found that trade in used clothes across national borders does not always have a negative impact on a country, but can actually have many positive impacts, especially for local communities in border areas. Positive economic impacts for sellers and owners of the sewing industry, positive social impacts for buyers, as well as positive and negative impacts on environmental aspects.  Keywords: Used Clothes, Smuggling, Cross-border, Government Policy.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of maintaining customer loyalty in a company because this is a vital part that must be maintained and strived for by the company in supporting its marketing. To maintain and improve it requires good service quality from the company to customers. This will then create a sense of satisfaction from customers so as to make customers loyal and loyal to the company. This research was conducted at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V, Jl. Rambutan No.43, East Sidomulyo, Kec. Marpoyan Damai, Pekanbaru City, Riau 28289, Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of service quality on customer loyalty through consumer satisfaction in the sale of PTPN V Pekanbaru products. The sample of this study was taken as many as 50 respondents using the census method. In this research, the method used is descriptive and quantitative analysis. The data obtained from the results of the questionnaire/questionnaire were then tested using the PLS (Partial Least Square) analysis technique through the SmartPLS software. In this study the results obtained are that Service Quality (X) has a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty (Y), Service Quality (X) has a positive and significant effect on consumer goals (Z), consumer goals (Z) has a positive and significant impact on consumer goals (Z). Customer Loyalty (Y) and Service Quality (X) have a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty (Y) through the Consumer Goals (Z) as Intervening Variables on By-Product sales at PT. Abstract

Illegal logging plays a role in the destruction of forests around the world and affects the people who live in them and rely on forest-generated resources. The European Union is one of the largest consumers of wood products in the world. As the biggest consumer, the EU has finally entered into an agreement with their wood supplying country with the FLEGT-VPA project which is expected to overcome illegal logging cases. This study uses a Pluralism perspective which focuses on the analysis of the International Organization level and the theory of international cooperation. Using the theory of international cooperation, this study aims to reveal the implementation of the Forest Law Enforcement Governance Trade-Voluntary Partnership Agreement (FLEGT-VPA) Project in Vietnam by the European Union. This study explains that the FLEGT-VPA project has strategic value obtained by the European Union and partner countries, for example in this case is Vietnam. The implementations carried out by the European Union in this project include Preparation of the VPA Implementation Structure, Development of a Legality Assurance System, Public Information Disclosure Mechanism, Independent Joint Evaluation of the Timber Legality Assurance System, FLEGT Licensed Timber Exports and European Union Border Control, and Monitoring the impact of this project. This implementation is still ongoing and can be said to be good, supported by regulations published by the Vietnamese government. Keywords: FLEGT-VPA, Implementation, European Union, Vietnam.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how farming groups build wine villages. The method used is to use descriptive qualitative methods. As for the formulation of the problem in this study (1) How is the participation of farmers groups in building wine village tours in The White Water Village? (2) What are the factors that affect the participation of farming groups in building wine village tours in The White Water Village? Data collection techniques in this study in the form of questionnaires, observations, documentation. This research was conducted at White Water Village, Tuah Madani Subdistrict, Pekanbaru City with a total of 16 subjects. The data analysis technique in this study is quantitatively descriptive using SPSS version 23. The results of the study explained that the participation of peasant groups is a form of mind participation with indicators of 5 statements classified as high, the form of energy participation with 4 statements is classified as high, the participation of goods with 4 statements is classified as high and the participation of money with 4 statements is classified as high after factors that affect the participation of the peasant group, namely education, employment, income, and knowledge.  Keywords: Participation, Factors, Peasant Groups

Abstract

Company seeks closer to consumers through a variety of approaches such as various kinds of products, services, promotions, prizes and opening new branches and units are located easily accessible by the public. The strategy carried out by the company's management to maintain and increase the number of customers are get by the promotion and the service. The purposes of research to determine and analyze the effect of promotion strategy  and quality service on purhasing decisions of gold saving product at PT. Pegadaian Branch of Pekanbaru Kota. This research is a descriptive study using quantitative approach, and the source of the data from this study coming from primary data obtained through the interview process and distributing questionnaires which were then tested statistically through the SPSS program and secondary data using product sales data for PT. Pegadaian Branch of Pekanbaru Kota from the year of 2016 - 2020. The analytical method used in this research is simple and multiple regression analysis, and through validity and reliability tests. In this study the results obtained are that the Promotion Strategy (X1) has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decisions (Y), Quality Service (X2) has a positive and significant effect on Purchasing Decisions (Y), then the both of Promotion Strategy  (X1) and Quality Service  (X2) ) has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decisions (Y)Keywords: Promotion Strategy, Quality Service and Purchasing Decision

Abstract

This research  is a political study which describes the interest of Tiongkok  in Afghanistan conflict. This research will focus on what made Tiongkok joint in Afghanistan conflict. This study interesting because describe about Tiongkok  interest in the conflict in Afghanistan is to maintain the security of the sovereignty and economic stability. This is qualitative research which used descriptive methods, and collecting datas from some resources like books, journals, official publications and relevant websites. This paper used the realism perspective and National Interest from Donald E. Nuechterlein. The object in this research is Tiongkok as main actor in International Relations. The result of this research shows that Tiongkok made some movement to save their economy, security and status in international community. Tiongkok come to Afghanistan made millitary base on that to help Afghanistan Government againts Taliban. Abstract

This research was conducted at Café Tong Susu Pekanbaru located on Jalan Jend. Sudirman No.79, North Tengkerang, Kec. Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru City, Riau. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of service quality and store atmosphere on consumer satisfaction at Café Tong Susu Pekanbaru partially and simultaneously. In this research, the method used is descriptive quantitative analysis with SPSS program. The population in this study is all consumers who made purchases at Café Tong Susu Pekanbaru in the last year, 2020 as many as2.272 people. Where the sample in this study were all consumers of Café Tong Susu Pekanbaru as many as 96 respondents. Data collection techniques through questionnaires, types and sources of data using primary data and secondary data, measurement collection techniques using a Likert scale.From the data analysis which includes validity test, reliability test, multiple linear analysis, determination analysis and significance test with t test test (partial), and F test (simultaneous). The results of this study indicate that the results of testing the first t test hypothesis, service quality on customer satisfaction, namely t count (11,891)> t table (1,98552) meaning that service quality has a significant effect on consumer satisfaction. Second, store atmosphere on consumer satisfaction is t count (10,700) > t table (1,98552) meaning that store atmosphere has a significant effect on consumer satisfaction. The results of the F test of service quality and store atmosphere have a significant effect on customer satisfaction, namely count F count (104,314) > Ftable (3.09). This means that advertising and store atmosphere simultaneously have a significant effect on customer satisfaction at Café Tong Susu PekanbaruKeywords: Service Quality, Store Atmosphere, Consumer Satisfaction

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effectiveness of working capital in improving liquidity and profitability in PT. Syuhada Bersaudara Kabupaten Rokan Hulu. In this study using quantitative descriptive data types, the data sources used are primary data obtained through interviews, and secondary data using financial statement data of PT. Syuhada Bersaudara Kabupaten Rokan Hulu for the 2016-2020 period and other data related to research material, and using ratio analysis.            The results of this study are as follows: First, the effectiveness of working capital on the liquidity ratio with indicators of the current ratio and cash ratio is in the good category although there is a decrease and increase in value in each period. Second, the effectiveness of working capital on profitability ratios with indicators of net profit margin, return on investment and return on equity are in the poor category. The low value of profitability ratios in NPM, ROI and ROE was caused by an increase in total assets and high expenses, while product sales experienced fluctuating developments. Keywords : Working Capital, Liquidity and Profitability
