Abstract

Hospitality is one of the accommodations in the tourism sector, which provides facilities such as lodging, food and entertainment facilities. The hospitality industry is an industry that operates in the field of hospitality that is very influential on tourism in Indonesia. Grooming is one of the things or procedures that must be applied for everyone who works in the hospitality industry, in order to create a good and polite image in front of guests. The research will be conducted at the Keraton Hotel at The Plaza Jakarta, this Hotel was chosen as a place of research to find out whether the Keraton Hotel at The Plaza has implemented grooming in accordance with professional standards. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, data collection techniques in this study using observation, documentation, interviews. So that a clear picture of the object under study can be obtained and conclusions can be drawn. Based on the results of the study showed that the application of Grooming as a Standard Professionalism in Food & Beverage Service at Keraton At The Plaza Hotel Jakarta is included in the good category and in accordance with the professional standards of a waiter.  Keywords : Grooming, Waiter, Restaurant, Hotel

Abstract

In training a person will be trained to improve skills, abilities, knowledge and behavior. The purpose of training is to provide skills to prospective employees before working, training is also intended to familiarize prospective employees with work. This study aims to determine employee training in the Laundry Section at Angkasa Garden Hotel Pekanbaru which consists of adding new knowledge, honing employee skills, improving skills, increasing sense of responsibility, providing work motivation, increasing obedience, increasing self-confidence, increasing loyalty, know the obstacles that occur before training, and know the continuation of hotel management regarding employee training. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. In this study, researchers took the number of sources as many as 6 people. This research data collection technique using observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the objectives and benefits of employee training are still not maximal, the reason is the lack of attention of hotel management on the skills possessed by employees, the obstacles that occur before training is carried out, and the actions of hotel management regarding employee training planning. periodically. Key word: Employee Training, Housekeeping, Angkasa Garden Hotel Pekanbaru

Abstract

Fixed assets are one of the elements that must be managed properly in order to produce reliable information in the regional financial reports. However, it is still found that management of regional assets is not well done by the Government so that it can raise problems. One of them is the Kuansing Hotel.This study examines how to optimize regional asset Management in Kuantan Singingi Regency on the procurement and construction of the Kuansing Hotel and analyze the factors of its avoidance. Research uses a type of qualitative descriptive research, which is a problem solving procedure by exposing the data, then analyzed and interpreted by giving conclusions.  The data collection uses interviews, field observations, and library studies that aim to describe (descriptive) and explain (explanatory or confirmatory) to the phenomenon occurring.Based on the research done was obtained by return that the regional asset management in Kuantan Singingi District still not optimal. Found inhibiting factor in optimizing regional asset Management in Kuantan District in the procurement and development of Kuansing Hotel, the asset has not been well-established assets, HR understanding is still minimal, technical support users not Optimal, difficulty supporting Data when needed, Data that is not stored, and the lack of socialization of asset management regulations.Keywords: optimization, management, assets

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of job performance appraisal and career development on employee performance partially and simultaneously. This study used a questionnaire as a data collection tool which was distributed to 65 respondents to employees of Hotel Pangeran Pekanbaru. The data was then processed using descriptive analysis and statistical analysis using SPSS 16 by performing validity tests, reliability tests, simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, determination analysis (R2) and hypothesis testing with t test (partial) and F test (simultaneous).The results showed that testing the first hypothesis, namely the assessment of work performance on employee performance, namely t count (3.803)> t table (1.998), meaning that job performance appraisal has an effect on employee performance. Second, career development is t count (4.194)> t table (1.998), meaning that career development has an effect on employee performance. The results of the F test (11.369)> F table (3.15) means that the simultaneous assessment of work performance and career development has an effect on employee performance.Keywords: Job Performance Assessment, Career Development, Employee Performance

Abstract

The Family of Hope Program (PKH) is a social protection program that provides assistance to beneficiary families (KPM) and members of the beneficiary family are required to carry out predetermined terms and conditions. PKH aims to build a social protection system in order to break the chain of poverty, improve the quality of human resources, and improve the welfare of poor families.This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Supporting the Education of Underprivileged Students in Pulang Rengas Village, Pangean District, Kuantan Singingi Regency in 2018. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation.Based on the results of the study showed that the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Pulau Rengas Village was not yet prosperous for poor families. However, the Family Hope Program (PKH) has helped Poor Households (RTM) reduce the burden on poor households in fulfilling education. The Family Hope Program (PKH) in Pulau Rengas Village is still not on target. This happens because at the time the PKH beneficiary candidates were proposed, they were still classified as poor, the time span for receiving assistance was relatively long so that the community had experienced developments on the economic side. Then the impact caused by the Effectiveness of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Supporting the Education of Underprivileged Students in Pulau Rengas Village, Pangean District, Kuantan Singingi Regency is divided into two, namely, Positive Impact, namely 1). Can help poor families who are PKH participants to pay for their children to go to school. 2). Increase participation of school children. 3). Increase children's motivation to learn and the negative impacts, namely 1). People always depend on help. 2). Lack of PKH participant participation. 3). Abstract

This research explains about the impact of #MeToo Movement in South Korea in 2018-2020. #MeToo Movement was  founded by Tarana Burke, an American woman activist and aims to fight against sexual harassment and sexual violence. A tweet about this #metoo movement was popularized by Alyssa Milano in 2017. This #MeToo momentum then was harnessed by South Korea’s women to accuse the patriarchal which has implications for gender inequality and sexual harassment. Policy changes as a result of the movement also be discussed in this study.This research is a qualitative research that aims to create a systematic and objective picture. The data collection technique used is document analysis. The case of #MeToo in South Korea is analyzed with the theory of social movements against social change. The level of analysis used is the nation state level of analysis.Based on this research, it can be concluded that the #MeToo Movement is still incapable in changing the patriarchal system that is detrimental to women in South Korea. Despite of the policy changes there still has been no significant change as there has been no decrease in the rate of sexual violence. Keywords: #metoo movement, sexual violence, South Korea, feminism

Abstract

Meranti Islands Regency Environmental Service is a government agency that has the authority to carry out government affairs in the environmental sector, one of which is in the field of waste management. Waste management is a systematic, comprehensive and continuous activity which includes waste reduction and handling. The population growth in Tebing Tinggi Subdistrict, Kepulauan Meranti Regency, which is getting higher causes the waste generated every day to always increase due to changes in consumption patterns and people's lifestyles, so that waste piles increase so that special handling is needed for waste management carried out by the Environmental Service.The purpose of this study is to explain the implementation of local government policies on waste management in Tebing Tinggi District, Meranti Islands Regency in 2018 and the inhibiting factors that affect the waste management. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. This method aims to get a correct picture of explaining the implementation of local government policies on waste management in Tebing Tinggi District, Meranti Islands Regency.The result of this research is that the implementation of local government policies in waste management carried out by the Environment Agency of Meranti Islands Regency as an effort to reduce and handle waste has not been optimal. In the aspect of waste reduction, the activities for limiting waste generation are not optimal, recycling of waste has limited facilities and infrastructure, the use of community waste that produces waste does not participate in the process of reusing waste, in the aspect of waste management, sorting activities have not been implemented, activities for collecting locations that will be used Until now, there is no garbage disposal site (TPS), there is not enough waste transportation fleet, waste processing activities do not have environmentally friendly technological infrastructure, and final processing activities are still carried out by means of open dumpling. As for the inhibiting factors for the implementation of waste management, the organizational capabilities are still inadequate, the lack of information provided to the public, the lack of budget support and the distribution of potentials that has not been optimal.  Keywords: Organizational Capabilities, Information, Support, Potential Sharing

Abstract

This study aims to measure and analyze financial performance at PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru period 2014-2018 using the ratio of liquidity, solvency, activity, and profitability based on the Decree of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Number: KEP-100/MBU/2002.The data used in this research are the financial statements of PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru, namely the balance sheet report for the period 2014-2018 and the profit and loss statement for the period 2014-2018. This research data is obtained through documentation and interviews. The data analysis technique used is to calculate the ratio of liquidity, solvency, activity, and profitability.The results showed that: (1) Liquidity level at PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru for the period 2014-2018 is in fairly good condition, (2) Solvency rate at PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru period 2014-2018 is in poor condition, (3) Activity Level at PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru period 2014-2018 is in excellent condition, (4) Profitability level at PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru period 2014-2018 in poor condition, (5) overall, the financial performance of PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru for the period 2014-2018 is in a fairly good condition and in the future needs to be improved again for more maximum performance. Keywords : Financial Performance, State-Owned Enterprises Number: KEP-100/MBU/2002.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Mount Singgalang, Pandai Sikek, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra Province. The objectives of this study were to determine: 1) The role of Travel Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) in the preservation of the Singgalang hiking trail area via Pandai Sikek. 2) The thing that hinders the Travel Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) from carrying out its role in the preservation of the Mount Singgalang hiking trail area via Pandai Sikek. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method by taking 7 people as informants, namely 5 members of POKDARWIS, 1 chairman of BUMNAK, and 1 person from the surrounding community. This research uses purposive method and uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that POKDARWIS as the manager has the task of carrying out the tourism potential in Pandai Sikek through the Mount Singgalang climbing route. POKDARWIS has a role as a motivator for Tourism Awareness, Sapta Pesona in the regional environment in tourist destinations, a driving force for Tourism Awareness and Sapta Pesona in regional environments in tourist destinations. The normative role that appears in the implementation in the field starts from a) the role of education is an invitation and appeal to preserve nature b) the control role is POKDARWIS as a manager in maintaining the beauty of the hiking trail area c) the role of information as a provider of information and a means of communication about everything related with hiking trails. The sustainability of the hiking trail area depends on the performance of POKDARWIS as a manager in managing tourism, especially when climbing activities are busy and difficult to control so that it becomes an obstacle for POKDARWIS in maintaining the beauty of the environment. Internal constraints experienced by POKDARWIS such as lack of skills and understanding of members in carrying out their roles as POKDARWIS and other activities outside POKDARWIS activities. Abstract

 This research was conducted at the Pekanbaru L'cheese Cake Factory located at Jalan Durian No.28, Sukajadi, Kec. Sukajadi, Pekanbaru City, Riau 28121. The purpose of this study was to study the promotion and pricing of purchasing decisions on consumers of the L'cheese Factory Pekanbaru Cake Shop partially and simultaneously. In this research the method used is quantitative descriptive analysis with SPSS program. The population in this study were all consumers of L'cheese Factory Pekanbaru Pastry Shop products in the year 2018 totaling 1,500 people. Where the samples in this study were consumers of the L'cheese Factory Pekanbaru Cake Shop as many as 100 respondents. To determine the sample using the slovin formula, a non-probability sampling technique with accidental sampling technique. Data collection techniques through interviews and questionnaires, types and sources of data using primary data and secondary data, measurement techniques using a Likert scale.From data analysis using validity test, reliability test, simple linear analysis, multiple linear analysis, determination analysis and significance test with t test (partial test), and F test (simultaneous). The results showed the results of the first t-test hypothesis, the promotion of consumer purchasing decisions, namely t arithmetic (9,557)> t table (1,660), which means a significant promotion of consumer purchasing decisions. second, pricing of consumer purchasing decisions, namely t arithmetic (10,700)> t table (1,660) means that the price setting affects significantly to consumer purchasing decisions. Test F results of promotions and pricing are significant to consumer purchasing decisions, namely F arithmetic (73.738)> F table (3.09). Associated with the promotion and pricing by simultaneous significant influence on consumer purchasing decisions in Pekanbaru L'cheese Factory Cake Shop.Keywords: Promotion, Pricing, Consumer Purchase Decisions
