Abstract

Land is a basic human need, not only having high economic value, but also philosophical, political, social and cultural values. It is not surprising that land becomes a special property that constantly triggers various complex and complicated social problems. One of the agrarian conflicts that occurred in Indragiri Hulu Regency was the conflict between PT Citra Sumber Sejahtera and Pauhranap and Pesajian villages. This longstanding conflict is because the community feels that the company has not compensated the land they own. This study aims to find conflict resolution due to the conflicts that occur. The theory put forward by Fisher in Tisa (2017) is Negotiation, Mediation, and Arbitration. This study uses the method of observation, documentation, data analysis and interviews. Secondary data obtained from village offices, relevant government agencies, BPS, books, journals, or data from the internet containing related theories or research results. The results of this study explain that the conflict in the villages of Pauhranap and Pesajian and PT. The image of Sumber Sejahtera is destructive, accompanied by acts of violence and destruction of facilities. However, the conflicts that have occurred so far have been successfully quelled by the officials of the two villages and the company by conducting mediation by paying compensation. Abstract

The research method here is a qualitative research method that explains and analyzes human behavior. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of village assistants in assisting village government as facilitators of community empowerment in Pulau Tongah Village, Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency and to find out the things that become an obstacle to the role of village assistants in assisting village governments as facilitators of community empowerment. Interview and documentation data collection techniques. The type of research used by the author is descriptive, which conducts research directly to Pulau Tongah Village, Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency by using a descriptive survey research type with, interviews, and documentation as a tool to collect data.The results of this study are Village Assistants in Pulau Tongah Village as Assistance Personnel in the Framework of Implementing Village Government here carry out village financial training activities with village officials. This village assistant in Pulau Tongah Village assists the implementation of village development, such as monitoring development to completion, village assistants as village community development participate in controlling and monitoring Community Development in the field of Religion such as religious guidance activities for the youth of Tongah Island village and village assistant activities attending the Maulid Nabi. The fourth is the role of village assistants. As an empowerment of village communities, such as village garden maintenance activities, activities to use unused land to plant horticulture crops. The things that become obstacles for Village Facilitators are the first existence of people who do not participate in carrying out development programs. The second is the length of disbursement of funds so that development programs cannot run smoothly.Keywords: Role, Village Facilitator, Empowerment.

Abstract

As one of the media that reflects American society, Hollywood films still have many elements of racism that are poured into several film genres. One of the most popular genres is comedy, such as the one in the film Night School , which was released in 2018. This film shows a lot of acts of racism that are deliberately used as a supporting element of comedy to invite laughter from the audience. This research uses qualitative research methods and is analyzed with the theory of Roland Barthes. The subject in this study is the film Night School genre comedy which has a duration of 1 hour 34 minutes in total and consists of 56 scenes, then the researcher selects one by one scene that contains acts of racism. Based on the analysis results obtained in the film Night School , namely this film can be found symbols both verbal and non-verbal that can be analyzed with semiotics. There are denotative meanings, connotations and myths that lead to acts of racism in this film. Researchers found the denotative meaning of this film, which is a comedy about the struggle of a black man to get a high school diploma to get a job, besides that there is also a connotative meaning, namely a film that shows the racism that is still strong in America against a person's physical and race. The myth that researchers found in this film is about racism, namely black people are still considered stupid, black people are troubling because they tend to commit criminal acts, people who have short bodies are easier to intimidate, black people have a lower social status than white people, and the issue of Islamophobia in America is still strong. Abstract

The implementation of the Riau Provincial Government's Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) program in Pekanbaru City caused turmoil in the community, especially in Tangkerang Labuai Village, Bukit Raya District, in terms of disbursing BLT related to differences in KK/KTP numbers registered with channeling banks and the occurrence of BLT deductions at one of the banks. distribution bank. This indicates that the Pekanbaru City Government and stakeholders have not been effective in distributing the Riau Provincial Government BLT.This study aims to describe how the effectiveness of the Riau Provincial Government Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) in supporting people's purchasing power in the midst of the economic downturn due to COVID-19. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. In collecting data, the author uses interview and documentation techniques.The results of this study are that it can be seen that the effectiveness of the implementation of the Riau Provincial Government's BLT program has not been maximized in its implementation. This is due to several things, namely the absence of continuous socialization and only carried out by the village government regarding the Riau Provincial Government BLT. The initial data collection carried out for KPM is not well targeted and uneven, so there are still KPM members who do not meet the target criteria that have been set. Many KPMs have difficulty in taking BLT funds, lack of understanding of KPMs regarding complaints regarding problems related to taking BLT.Keyword : Program Effectiveness, Riau Provincial Government Cash Direct Aid

Abstract

Maxim was a plafrorm that provided service of transportation in the form of online motorcycle taxi in Pekanbaru City. Many types of transportation services, both online and offline available in Pekanbaru City caused Maxim riders to have difficulty finding passengers. The competition that occurs between these transportation services made it difficult for Maxim riders to meet their daily income. The Covid-19 pandemic was also one of the factors of difficulty in working as a Maxim riders. This study aims to find out how the survival strategy was carried out by the Maxim riders to be able to compete with its predecessor ojol platforms such as Grab and Go-Jek in working as a service that serves transportation in the form of online motorcycle taxis in order to meet their needs and what forms of innovation were carried out by the riders. Maxim riders during a pandemic so that they can still work normally and can still meet their income targets according to the needs of Maxim riders. The research data were collected through observation and documentation interview methods. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis. From the results of the analysis in this study, it could be concluded that the Maxim riders used three survival strategies that are applied in their work to stay afloat. The survival strategies used were active strategies, passive strategies and network strategies to meet their needs in working as a Maxim riders. Abstract

Kinantan Wildlife and Culture Park is one of the historical relics that has become one of the tourist attractions in Bukittinggi. The zoo was built by the Dutch East Indies government in the 1900s. The purpose of the study was to find out the tourist attractions of TMSBK and the efforts of managers in attracting visits to TMSBK. Tourist attractions must meet the conditions for the development of the area, namely what to see, what to do, what to buy, what to arrived, what to stay. A zoo is a place in the form of a park or green open space useful for demonstrating animals to the public and which is regulated as an ex-situ conservation institution. The method in the study is descriptive qualitative. As a result of the interview, Kinantan Wildlife and Cultural Park is located in the Bukittinggi Upper Market Fort which has attractions including the Limpapeh bridge and fort De Kock left over from the Dutch era. Management efforts to increase visits by means of promotion through social media and improving existing facilities. The management and the Bukittinggi City Government are working together in improving the Bukittinggi Kinantan Wildlife and Cultural Park to improve local revenue the Bukittinggi City. Abstract

The key to the success of a hotel is the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in accordance with the standards set by each hotel, so that visitors feel satisfied, comfortable and want to return to visit a hotel. Room service at Angkasa Garden Hotel Pekanbaru has a predetermined Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), but there are several obstacles in implementing the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). This study aims to determine the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in Room service Angkasa Garden Hotel Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used in the study were interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants involved in this study were Mr. Doni as manager of food & beverage service department of Angkasa Garden Hotel Pekanbaru, Mr. Indra as waiter of food & beverage service department of Angkasa Garden Hotel Pekanbaru and Mrs. Ria as waiters of food & beverage service department of Angkasa Garden Hotel Pekanbaru. Based on the results of the research, the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in Room service Angkasa Garden Hotel Pekanbaru has been implemented properly in accordance with the operational standards that have been set by the hotel. As for the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) at the room service of Angkasa Garden Hotel, Pekanbaru, namely receiving orders from the telephone, making captain orders, preparing equipment, orders delivered to guest rooms and clear-up. Constraints faced in the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are related to the small number of employees and there are still many in the menu list that are not available. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of receivables turnover and inventory turnover on the profitability of pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2020 period. The independent variables in this study are accounts receivable turnover and inventory turnover. The dependent variable in this study is profitability. The research population is the pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2016-2020 period. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. Based on the established criteria, a sample of 7 companies from 11 existing sub-sector copmpanies was obtained. The type of data used is secondary data. This research uses quantitative methods with SPSS (Statistical product and service solutions). The results showed that there was an influence between accounts receivable turnover and inventory turnover on profitability, either partially or simultaneously tested. Abstract

The petung weton tradition is a tradition to determine a person’s wedding day by calculating the date of birth of the birth and groom. The people of Rambah Muda village believe that by using this tradition, the event that will be held will get good luck and the sustenance of the bride and groom will be launched, but nowadays the petung weton tradition is rarely used and there are changes. The purpose of this study: 1) To find out the differences that occur in the tradition of petung weton carried out in the past and present. 2) To find out the causes of changes in the petung weton tradition in the Javanese community in Rambah Muda village. The study used qualitative research methods. The theory used is William F.Ogburn’s Theory of social change. In this case the determination of information using a purposive sampling technique that has been determined previously. The study found that the petung weton tradition is a hereditary tradition that is still practiced today. This tradition is carried out to determine the wedding day by the Javanese people with various traditional processions. The implementation is deliberation by both the families of the prospective groom and bride, fasting the day and making offerings that are placed in various places such as in the kitchen, bridal room, party tent, and others. This tradition already exists in Rambah Muda village and began to be implemented in the 1990s. Changes that occur in the petung weton tradition are caused by several things, such as technological advences and the times, higher education levels and increasingly diverse villagers. Abstract

This study aims to determine the financial performance of PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk during the period 2016-2020. The object of this research is PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk and the research population are Financial Statements for the 2016-2020 period which includes balance reports, income statements, and others. The type of research used is quantitative method. Data collection through documentation. The data of this research were obtained from www.unilever.com . The data analysis technique used is Economic Value Added (EVA) analysis obtained from the difference in the NOPAT value minus the value of Capital Charges. The results showed the financial performance of PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk seen from the year of the study the average score was positive (EVA < 0), but there were still fluctuations. The period that experienced a negative value (EVA > 0) was only in 2019. This was because the value of WACC and Capital Charges decreased from the previous year. Despite experiencing fluctuations, PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk in 2016-2020 can be said to be able to provide added economic value for shareholders.
