Abstract

The phenomenon of low fishermen income, the Nipah River, IV Jurai Subdistrict which has the potential to cultivate grouper fish but limited human resources in managing the existing marine potential makes researchers interested in researching Community Empowerment through Grouper Cultivation Business in Pesisir Selatan Regency (Case Study). Fisherman Group of District IV Jurai). The purpose of this study was to determine community empowerment in grouper cultivation in Pesisir Selatan Regency and to determine the factors that hinder community empowerment through grouper cultivation in Pesisir Selatan Regency. This study uses a qualitative method where the data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study can be seen that community empowerment through grouper cultivation in Pesisir Selatan Regency on enabling indicators has been successful, but on empowering and protecting indicators it is still not successful, because there are several inhibiting factors, namely the lack of quality seed assistance from the Fisheries and Food Service. Pesisir Selatan Regency, the inability of some fishermen to manage capital, and the consumptive nature of fishermen. It is hoped that in the future the Fisheries and Food Service of Pesisir Selatan Regency will optimize the quality of the seed assistance provided, and also fishermen in IV Jurai District will be better at managing capital and eliminating consumptive nature.

Abstract

Han is a sociocultural concept of Korean society that has a broad definition of the injustice and suffering of Korean society during the colonial period. Han became part of Korean society until recently even after the colonialization of the Empire of Japan had ended. After the normalization of relations between South Korea and Japan, the intense cooperation between the two countries still leaves various identity-related conflicts that disrupt the bilateral relations between the two countries due anti-Japanese sentiments in South Korean society.This study illustrates the distrust of Korean society illustrated through the Haninfluenced South Korean entertainment industry. Jonathan Mercer's Social Identity Theory is used to analyze the relationship between Han's in South Korean society and the anti-Japanese sentiments that exist in the entertainment industry. The phenomena of anti-Japanese sentiment are analyzed using Social Identity Theory obtained through news, journals, books and official statements from the government and related parties. The results showed that han as a community identity influences the collective emotions of Korean society which is reflected in the field of culture and the entertainment industry. The entertainment industry reflects people's views and reactions to Japanese culture that is present in Korean society. The entertainment industry Also played a role in disseminating and producing the concept of han that caused anti-Japanese sentiment. Abstract

The following study explored European Union’s cultural diplomacy practices towards Indonesia through Europe on Screen Film Festival. The existence of the European Union as an international actor that oversees many of its member states opens up many cultural products that can be used in their cultural diplomacy practices. The European Union implemented one of its cultural diplomacy agendas towards Indonesia through the Europe on Screen film festival. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the implementation of cultural diplomacy practices carried out by the European Union towards Indonesia through the Europe on Screen Film Festival in 2019 and 2020. This study used Constructivism as a perspective, Soft Power Theory, and the concept of Cultural Diplomacy. Data were gathered using qualitative approach and were found in books, academic publications, public documents, and digital archives. This research shows that the cultural diplomacy practices carried out by the European Union towards Indonesia through the Europe on Screen Film Festival in 2019 and 2020 have implemented three principles of cultural diplomacy. The Europe on Screen Festival has successfully become an event that attracts the enthusiasm of public in Indonesia, although there is no clear perception and stigma towards the European Union as institution and its existence as an international actor. Abstract

Storage of foodstuffs is a very important thing to pay attention to because basically foodstuffs are easily damaged, especially if they are stored irregularly, in an unclean room, and not maintained properly which will affect the quality and quality of the product. Paying attention to the method of storing foodstuffs, both raw and cooked, is a priority to be carried out in accordance with existing provisions so that the product that will be produced remains in good quality. The purpose of this study was to determine how the method of storing pastry foodstuffs and the constraints in carrying out the method of storing pastry foodstuffs. The data collection method was carried out by carrying out field work practices for 4 months at Grand Central Hotel Pekanbaru, interviews, and collecting data from books and journals with qualitative data analysis techniques as a supporting factor in this study. The results of this study can be concluded that in terms of storage, the pastry kitchen at Grand Central Hotel Pekanbaru has a method of storing food ingredients in accordance with the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system and its application is quite good based on the type of food ingredients. Abstract

Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru which is located on Jl. Riau is one of the 4-star hotels that are in great demand by guests for the purpose of staying or holding event meetings. At Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru, there is a pastry section that provides various kinds of cakes for guest companions at breakfast and also serves as a coffee break during event meetings. This pastry section always produces cakes that are delicious and attractive in appearance to be served, this is supported by good processing and storage from the pastry staff at Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru. Therefore, storage must always be considered and supervised by the pastry chef so that there is no material damage that results in reduced quality of the resulting product. This study was conducted to determine the supervision of parstock storage by pastry chefs at Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data obtained from in-depth interviews with pastry chefs, executive chefs as well as direct observation and documentation. Then the data obtained were analyzed to obtain conclusions. Abstract

Roomboy can be analogized as the spearhead of a hotel because of its role in cleaning room equipments for the sake of creating comfort in the hotel room. This research was conducted at the Grand Bunda Hotel which is a type of sharia hotel under the patronage of PT. Bunda Empat Pilar. This research aims to find out how Roomboy in cleaning Grand Bunda Bukittinggi hotel rooms in the Housekeeping Department with 2 (two) roomboys as the key informant. This research uses descriptive, qualitative methods, by which researchers describe the existing circumtances on the hotel to collect data and information, thereby using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results found in the research are that the implementation of roomboy services in cleaning hotel rooms can be categorized as good, but there are still some roomboys who are rather not attentive in cleaning the corners of hotel rooms. Abstract

One of the benchmarks for increasing regional tourism is the number of tourist visits. As a result, a variety of tourist attractions must be developed in order to attract people to travel. In order to increase tourist visits, it is necessary to have a real role from the output of the selection of Bujang and Dara in carrying out tourism promotion by coordinating and collaborating with tourism entrepreneurs both inside and outside. The aim of this research are: 1) To determine and analyze the role of Bujang and Dara in promoting tourism in the Pelalawan Regency. 2) To determine and analyze Bujang and Dara obstacles in promoting tourism in the Pelalawan Regency. This research used qualitative method. This research took place at the Department of Tourism, Youth and Sports, Pelalawan Regency, at the Bhakti Praja Office Complex, Pangkalan Kerinci, Pelalawan. Researchers collected primary data from the results of interview with the Head of the Bujang and Dara Association, Pelalawan Regency. Secondary data in this research collected from books, hard printed journal from the relevant agencies as a complement to the research process. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. In line with the main problem and focus of this research, the data analysis used is descriptive qualitative. The result of this research is that Bujang and Dara has several roles in carrying out their duties as a Regional Tourism Ambassador. Social Roles and Ceremonial Roles. Abstract

Hotel Bono Pekanbaru is one of the four-star hotels located in Pekanbaru. Good management is needed so that operations run smoothly, especially the management of linen. linen used in hotel operations. Linen is an important component in every hotel that can provide comfort to guests but can also provide negative things that often cause guest complaints. This study aims to determine the management and rotation system room linen the housekeeping department at Hotel Bono Pekanbaru, constraints and efforts to deal with existing problems. In collecting data the author uses descriptive qualitative methods, with an analysis process based on data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Overall it is known that the linen management at the Bono Pekanbaru hotel is quite good but there are several things that cause problems with linen management. such as a lack of linen supplies. The conclusion from this study is that the room linen housekeeping department in Hotel Bono Pekanbaru can be categorized as good, but there are still many shortages of linen, so that many types of linen cannot be rotated with ideal flow. Carrying out maintenance and restoring linen and providing additional linen is a solution that can be used. Keywords: Management, Room Linen, and Housekeeping

Abstract

This study intends to analyze China's interests in the Arctic region in 20162020. China as a New Emerging Power country has a high level of need for energy resources, so that China has dependence on countries or regions that have availability. China's involvement in the Arctic region is increasingly gradual in line with China's development as a New Emerging Power. In this study, the authors used library research and qualitative research methods. The analysis in this study uses the level of analysis of the nation state, the concept of national interest, using the theory of geopolitics. The use of this theory is because this study discusses China's active involvement in the Arctic region which has strategic value marked by the involvement of large countries such as the United States and Russia with China's geographical factors causing China to need to establish relations with other countries or become influential in a region. particular, the Arctic Region. In this study using the perspective of Neorealism The results of research from China's interests in the Arctic region are an effort to meet the needs of energy resources, the expansion of the Belt Road Initiative and the Balance of Power efforts to the hegemony of the United States through the joining of China with the Arctic Council. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the reasons for Malaysia's refusal to ratify ICERD. Malaysia's refusal to ratify International Conventions on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination is a problem currently being faced by the Malaysian government. In fact, ratification of ICERD is considered as a step forward for a country to end racial discrimination. The research methodology used is descriptive method with a ualitative approach and is carried out by means of literature study. The source of data used in writing this thesis is secondary data on all forms of publication regarding ICERD and discrimination in Malaysia, be it books, articles, journals, authoritative websites and local Malaysian newspapers. The results of the research show that, the reason for the rejection of ICERD ratification is because the international convention is considered to be contrary to the federal Constitution in article 153 and threatens the privileges of the indigenous people of Malaysia and contradicts the social contracts made by the rulers since the journey towards Malaysian independence.
