Abstract

The research aim to knows impact of giving Vermicompost fertilizer to breeding coffee Robusta (Coffea canephora Pierre) and gets the best recommanded to doses. Research conducted in UPT area of research farm in faculty of agriculture, Riau University on Bina Widya Campus Km 12,5 sub-district of Simpang Baru, district of Tampan, Pekanbaru during 3 months from April 2015 until July 2015.  This research arranged experimentally by using Completely Randomized Design which consist of 5 treatments where it repeated as much as 4 times and then obtained 20 experimental units with 3 sample each unit. Parameter observed plant height increment, number of leaves increment, increase the girth and leaf area. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and followed by LSD at level of 5%. The result showed that giving vermicompost fertilizer with 75 g/10 kg soil can give the best result to plant height increment, number of leaves increment, increase the girth and leaf area.   Keywords : Vermicompost fertilizer, breeding, Coffee Robusta.

Abstract

This research aimed to know giving influence of formulations trichokompos TKKS with NPK fertilizerand get the best treatment of formulation for the growth of oil palm seeds (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.)which derived of multy embrio. This  research has  been  conducted  in  the Agriculture  Experimental  Station  Faculty  of  Agriculture,  University  of  Riau, District of Tampan, the research was  carried out for 4 months starting in April 2015  to  the  month  of Agustus 2015. This research arranged experimentaly using Completely Randomized Design (CRD)arranged in non-factorial, which consist of 5 treatment and 3 restating, so that entirely 15 attempt units. Every attempt unit consisted of 2 polybag crop and both as a sample, P0: Without fertilizer, P1:Trichokompos TKKS 10 ton/Ha (74,5 g/polybag) + NPK 2 tablet equel to 23,738 g/polybag. P2:Trichokompos TKKS ton/Ha (74,5 g/polybag) + NPK          4 tablet equel to 47,476 g/polybag. P3:Trichokompos TKKS ton/Ha (124,5 g/polybag) + NPK 2 tablet equel to 23,738 g/polybag. P4: Trichokompos TKKS ton/Ha (124,5 g/polybag) + NPK 2 tablet equel to 47,476 g/polybag. Analysis of variance result showing existence of reality difference, continued with tested to be continuation with deep experiment Duncans New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT)at level 5%. Based on research result which has been done indicates that giving various doses of formulations trichokompos TKKS with NPK fertilizer give an significantly effect on all parameters observed. From this research giving best influence at dose 124,5 g and 74,5 richokompos TKKS + 4 Tablet NPK on all parameter observed. The final results of observations to show that the average of high, number of leaves and cusps diameter on oil palm seeds origin multy embrio which aged 12 months has exceeded the growth standards issued by PPKS. Abstract

The purpose of this research is determining the effect of some kinds from cocoa’s kind waste and NPK fertilizer and to get the best dose for the growth of cocoa plantation. This research was conducted in the experimental field and Laboratory of Production Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau in Campus Binawidya Km 12.5 Simpang Baru Pekanbaru. This research was conducted from January to April 2015. The research used Completely Randomized Design factorial that consisting of two factors. The first factor is the cocoa’s kind waste (T) consists of four levels, they are T1 = wet waste in chopped 100 g/plant; T2 = dry waste chopped 100 g/plant; T3 = dry waste burned 100 g/plant; T4 = compost cocoa exocarpium waste 100 g/plant. The second factor is the NPK fertilizer (U), which consists of 4 levels, namely U (3.75, 7.5, 11:25, 15) g/polybag. Both these factors resulted in 16 treatsment combinations, each combination made three replications, so that there are 48 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of four plants, so the total crop was 192 plants. Parameters measured were seedling height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf area, the ratio of crown roots  and seedling dry weight. Data obtained from the research results were statistically analyzed by analysis of variance followed by a further test of Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5%. Based on the research the provision of cocoa’s kind waste and NPK fertilizer on the cocoa seeds that have been made, the result showed that the treatment cocoa’s kind waste and NPK fertilizer had no significant on all parameters of observation. Treatment of cocoa’s kind waste burnt 100 g/seed and fertilizer NPK 7.5 g/seeds can be recommended to get the growth of cocoa’s seedling. Keywords : cocoa, cocoa’s kind waste and NPK fertilizer

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of giving LCPKS and NPK Tablet, and single factor LCPKS and NPK Tablet and get the best dose giving on the growth of oil palm seedling at main nursery. This research was conducted at the experimental station of Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau on March 2015 until June 2015. This research was arranged on using Completely Rendomized Design (CDR) with two factorial: Factor I; Application Of Palm Oil Liquid Of Waste, L0 (without LCPKS), L1 (LCPKS 600 ml),L2 (LCPKS 1200 ml),L3(LCPKS 1800 ml). Factor II; N0(without NPK Tablet), N1 (2 tablet NPK), N2 (4 tablet NPK) and replicated 3 times, so abtained 72 unit experiment. Parameter observed were the accretion of plant heigh, accretion of stump diameter, accretion of leaves number, root volume, root shoot ratio and dry weight.The result showed that giving LCPKS and NPK Tablet increase accretion of stum diameter, accretion of leaves number and dry root with get the best dose 1800 ml and 2 tablet NPK. Giving LCPKSincrease accretion of  plant heigh, accretion of stump diameter, accretion of leaves number, root volume, root shoot ratio and dry weight with dose 1800 ml. Giving NPK Tablet the increase accretion of plant heigh, theaccretion of stump diameter,theaccretion of leaves, numberroot shoot ratio and dry weight with get the best dose 2 tablet. Abstract

Oil palm plantations (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is an important commodity in Indonesia which is constantly increasing both in land area and its production. The increase in land requires a qualified oil palm seedings. One of the appropriate measures to obtain quality seed is by giving organic fertilizer, such as Trichocompost tofu dregs. The research aimed to determine the effect of several doses of Trichocompost tofu dregs and to obtain the best dose for the growth of oil palm in main nursery. The research was conducted at the experimental farm, Technical Implementation Unit, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. The research started from April to August 2015. The research was conducted experimentally by using completely randomized design (CRD) which consist of 5 treatment and 4 replication then obtained 20 experiment units. Each of the experiment unit consisted of 2 seeds, so it obtain 40 seeds. The treatment tested was giving Trichocompost tofu dregs dose 0 g/plant, 75 g/plant, 150 g/plant, 225 g/plant, and 300 g/plant. The data was analyzed statistically and followed by DNMRT further test at 5% level. Parameters measured was increase of high, increase of stump diameter, increase of midrib number, root volume, and dry wight. The result showed that giving Trichocompost tofu dregs dose 225 g/plant give the best effect on the growth of oil palm in main nursery. Keywords : Oil palm, main nursery, Trichocompost tofu dregs.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the experimental farm of the Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau started in April to June 2015. This study aims to look at the provision of bio-slurry, nitrogen fertilizer and interactionbetween the provision of bio-slurryandnitrogenfertilizerandto get thebestcombinationforgrowth and crop productionof pakchoy. Field experiment using a completely randomized factorial design, where 0, 2, 4, 6 liters/m2 of bio-slurry as the first factor and 0, 15, 25 g/m2of nitrogen fertilizer as the second factor. This study uses 12 combinations, 3 replications and 4 plant samples. Parameters measured were plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, weight of plants per plot, weight inveterate consumable plants and plant dry weight. Data results are then tested further variance with Duncan multiple test at 5%level. The results showed that the interaction of bio-slurry and nitrogen fertilizer treatment increased the plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, weight of plants per plot, plant fresh weight and dry weight consumable crops. Pakchoy production is highest in the treatment of 2 liters/m2 of bio-slurry and 15 grams/m2 ofnitrogen fertilizer. Keywords: bio-slurry, nitrogen fertilizer,pakchoy

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the effect of palm oil’s empty bunch fruit compost and palm oil’s leaflets mulch givingon sub soil oil palm seeds planting and determine the right dose of oil palm empty bunch fruit compost  to support oil palm’s growth in main nurseryphase. This research was conducted from May 2015 until August 2014 located at the agricultural experimental station, University of Riau. The design that used in this research was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisted of 2 factors and 3 replications.The first factor  was oil palm’s empty bunch fruit compost (K) consisted of 4 levels were :  0 g (K0), 50 g (K1), 75 g (K2) and 100 g/plant unit (K4).The second factor was palm oil’s leaflets mulch (M) consisted of 3 levels were : 0 g (M0), 50 g (M1) and 100 g/pant unit (M2). The result of this research showed that the combination of palm oil’s empty bunch fruit compost and palm oil’s leaflets mulch significantly affected on leaf area, but that is not significantly affected on plant height, leaf number and  hump diameter on oil palm’s seed tenera Marihat variety growth on main nursery phase.   Keywords:palm oil’s empty bunch fruit compost, palm oil’s leaflets mulch, main nursery

Abstract

Plant oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is a plantation crop which plays an important role for Indonesia as a mainstay commodity. Palm oil seedling is the planting of seedlings in a planting medium, so that the seeds are ready to be planted permanently in plantations. The research aim is to determine the effect of the use some liquid fertilizer animal urine on seedlings of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) and get the animal urine liquid fertilizer suitable for oil palm seedlings. Research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, from January to April 2015. The study conducted using completely randomized design (CRD), which is consists of 5 treatments, each treatment was repeated 4 times to obtain 20 units of trial, as for the treatment given is a liquid fertilizer that consists of animal urine: sheep urine, goat urine, urine buffalo and cow urine. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and continued with further test Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) at 5 %. Research that has been carried out, showing that administration of liquid fertilizer urine of different animals on oil palm seedlings showed the real effect of the parameters as height of seedlings, the increase in diameter hump, increase the number of stem of leaves and root volume, while observations ratio crown roots and dry weight of seedlings show the effect is not real. Goat urine treatment showed the best results for all parameters of observation. Keywords: liquid fertilizer, oil palm, main nursery

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the concentration of organic PPC plant hormones lead to the growth of seedlings of aloes and searching for the best concentration for the growth of seedlings of aloes. This research has been led in the Plant Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. This study was conducted over four months from May 2015 until the month of August 2015.This study was conducted experiments using completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 4 treatments ie: without granting PPC organic (P0), the concentration of PPC organic 1 ml / liter of water (P1), concentration PPC organic 2 ml / liter of water (P2) and the concentration of organic PPC 3 ml / liter of water (P3). In this study there were 4 treatments consists of three replicates so that there are 12 experimental units. Each unit contained three seedlings are planted in polybags and two seedlings were sampled.The parameters measured were plant height (cm), number of leaves (pieces), stem diameter (cm), large whole leaf per plant (cm2), fresh weight canopy (g), the weight of wet roots (gram), heavy wet leaves ( gram), shoot dry weight (grams), root dry weight (grams), leaf dry weight (grams). The significant difference (HSD) at 5% was used for mean separations. Based on the research granting PPC organic against aloes seeds can be concluded that the concentration PPC organic 2 ml / l of water showed the highest growth in the number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf area per plant, the weight of the wet canopy, wet weight root, fresh weight of leaves, dry weight canopy, root dry weight and leaf dry weight aloes seeds than other treatments, but the treatment of PPC at each concentration effect no significant effect on plant height. Abstract

The purpose of this research is determining the effect of some  treatment combinations and to determine the combination of best compost bunches empty palm oil and dolomite that could support growth seeds palm oil plantations in a main nursery. This research has been conducted in the experimental field, Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau from April to July 2015. The research used Completely Randomized Design Factorial that consisting of two factors. The first factor is giving compost bunches empty palm oil which consist of three levels, they are: K1= 37,5 g/polybag, K2= 75 g/polybag and K3= 112,5 g/polybag. The second factor is giving lime dolomite (CaMg (CO3)2) which consist of three levels, they are: D1=9 g/polybag, D2= 18 g/polybag and D3= 30 g/polybag. Both of these factors resulted in 9 treatsments combination. Each combination made three replications, so that there are 27 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of two plants, so the total crop was 54 plants. The data were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance and the means were tested with Duncan 's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at level of 5%. The research results show that combination of compost bunches empty palm oil and dolomite had show the real effect on the increase in diameter hump of seedlings , but the effect not real on the parameters height of seedlings,increase number of leaves, volume roots, ratio crown rootsand and dry weight of seedlings. Combination compost bunches empty palm oil 112,5 g/polybag and dolomite 18 g/polybag showed better results for the growth of palm oil seedlings.
