Abstract

The study aims to analyze the dynamics of farmer groups Enggal Jaya in the Village Buluh Rampai Districts Seberida District of Indragiri Hulu. This research was conducted in the Village of Buluh Rampai Districts Seberida District of Indragiri Hulu. This research was conducted in the Village of Buluh Rampai Districts Seberida District of Indragiri Hulu. The research was conducted from March 2015 until January 2016 and the methods used in this research is survey method with census sampling. Data analysis was performed using Likert Analysis and Spearman's Test. The results show the internal characteristics of farmers such as age, education level and number of dependents has a strong relationship and significant impact on the dynamics of farmer groups Enggal Jaya. On the external characteristics of farmer extension intensity and the amount of resources have a strong relationship and significant impact on the dynamics of farmer Enggal Jaya.  Keywords : Dynamics, Farmers, Internal, External

Abstract

Young coconut water probiotic drink is one of fermented beverage products containing probiotic bacteria. Young coconut water contains nutrients such as carbohydrates, moisture, fat, proteinand ash contents, that can be combined with the addition of sugar as a source of nutrients for the growth of lactic acid bacteria. The purpose of this research was to evaluate  the effect of variation sucrose using starter Lactobacillus casei subsp. casei R-68 on the quality of probiotic drink of young coconut water. This research was conducted experimentally using Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study were G1 (100 ml coconut water + 0% sugar), G2 (young coconut water 100 ml + 2% sugar), G3 (young coconut water 100 ml + 4% sugar), G4 (water Young coconut 100 ml + sugar 6%) and G5 (young coconut water 100 ml + sugar 8%). The results show that variation of sucrose concentration significantly affected pH value, total lactic acid, total lactic acid bacteria, total sugar, ash, colour, flavour, taste and overall acceptance of probiotic drink. The best treatment was G5 (young coconut water 100 ml + 8% sugar), with pH 4.36, total lactic acid 0.43%, total LAB 10.23 cfu/ml, total sugar 10.36%, and ash content 0.71%. The probiotic drink of G5 treatment was favored by panelists with cloudy white colour (3.93), young and acidic coconut water flavour (3.63), sweet taste (3.60). Overall assessment hedonik test of young coconut water probiotic drink was preferred by th e panelists. Keywords: probiotics, young coconut water, Lactobacillus casei subsp. casei R-68.

Abstract

This research is intended to understand the characteristic of the farmers, stage on the Specially Efforts Corn, Soybean, Paddy(UPSUS PAJALE) at Bunga Raya village. This research was conducted at Bunga Raya village that is located in the Siak Regency. Multi stage sampling was used as the method to choose locations. The samples were gathered using Purposive Sampling method. This research uses 48 farmers data as samples. Data analysis which is used for this research is the descriptive method. The goals were analyzed using Likert Scale. The results of this research shows us the paddy farmers’ internal characteristics at Bunga Raya village such as: the farmers’ productive ages are within the range of 40-46 years, most of the farmers’ are High School graduates, each farmers’ family consists of 4-5 persons, farmers’ experiences are between 17-23 years, the land area that the farmers manage is between 0,5-1ha and the farmers are highly cosmopolitans. The external characteristics of farmers are medium when are evaluated according to the instructors’ intensity, the accuracy of instructors channel, the amount of information sources, the affordability of production facilities price and the availability of production facilities.Keywords:Internal Characteristics, External Characteristics,Specially Efforts Paddy, Corn, Soybean, (UPSUS PAJALE)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the provision of cow urine and get the best concentration to support the growth of seedlings of the rubber budded stump. Research conducted at the Experimental station, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, from February to May 2016. This study was conducted experimentally using completely randomized design, which consists of 5 treatments and 3 replications in order to obtain 15 experimental units. The treatments were cow urine concentration as follows: U0 = without cow urine, U1 = concentration of cow urine 5%, U2 = concentration of cow urine 10%, U3 = concentration of cow urine 15%, and U4 = concentration of cow urine 20%. Parameters those observed were seedling height, leaf number, stem diameter and leaf area. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and Duncan’s multiple range test at 5% level. The result showed that administration of multiple concentration of cow urine can increase the amount of leaf and stem diameter rubber budded stump. Giving cow urine 15% and 20% demonstrated better seedling performance compare to without the provision of cow urine, 5% and 10%. To improve seedling performance of budded stump should use cow urine with concentration of 15%.Keywords : budded stump, rubber seeds, cow urine, the growth of seedlings

Abstract

The research aimed to find out the best combination of straw mushroom and snakehead fish on nuggets production. A completely randomized design used with four treatments and four replications. The treatments consist of  MG1 (100% straw mushroom : 0% snake head fish), MG2 (90% straw mushroom : 10% snake head fish), MG3 (80% straw mushroom : 20% snake head fish) and MG4 (70% straw mushroom : 30% snake head fish). The result showed that combination of straw  mushroom and snakehead fish significantly affected the moisture content, fiber content, protein content and descriptive sensory assessment of colour, aroma, flavour and  texture of nuggets. However its gave non significantly effect to ash content and overall hedonic test. The best treatment was MG4: 70% (straw mushroom: 30% snakehead fish) which content 53.82% water, 1.09% ash, 0.42% fiber, 7.82% protein, grayish white colour, rather straw mushroom aroma, a little distinctive flavour straw mushroom, rather chewy texture and overall hodonic assessment by panelist was “like”   Keywords : Nuggets, straw mushroom, snakehead fish..

Abstract

Adequate supply of nutrient by fertilizer are generally believed to improve soybean yield especially when it is grown in suboptimal soil condition.  In this study we grew a soybean variety and fertized them with N and K fertilizer to determine the response of the variety to the time of N application and the rate of K fertilizer. A field experiment was conducted in Agriculture Experiment Station near Pekanbaru by using a randomized completely block design with 3 replications. The rate of potassium fertilizer were 25 kg K2O per ha, 50 kg K2O per ha and 75 kg K2O per ha while the time of N application were 25 kg N per ha at planting date, 25 kg N per ha at 30 days after planting and 25 kg N per ha at planting and add another 25 kg N per ha at 30 days after planting. Seed were planted with a rate of 30 cm by 20 cm in a plot of 3 m length and 2 m wide in 2017.  Parameters observed were plant height, number of main branches, plant growth rate, leaf area index, flowering date, harvest date, number of filled pods per plant, seed weight per plant, seed yield per m2, weight of 100 seeds and harvest index. The results showed that application of N fertilizer affected leaf area index, number of filled pods, seed weight per plant, and grain yield per m2, however, the rate of K fertilizer only affected plant growth rate and leaf area index but did not for others characters. The treatment combinations indicated the significant effect on number of main branches and seed yield per m2, where the application of N 25 kg per ha at planting followed at the same rate at 30 days after planting and adding by 50 kg per ha K2O gave greater number of main baranches and more grain yield per m2. Keywords :  nitrogen aplication, potassium fertilizer, yield components, growth rate

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the composition of sawdust and sago pulp as the best for the growth and development of the oyster mushroom. This research was completely randomize design which the threatments were media composition. K0= 100% sawdust without sago pulp, K1= 75% sawdust without sago pulp, K2= 50% sawdust without sago pulp, K3= 25% sawdust without sago pulp and K4= 0% sawdust without sago pulp. The observed were times a appears mycelium, mycelium growth speed, harvesting age, number of fruit bodies, body weight per baglog fresh fruit, stem length and the biological efficiency. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance. Followed by test of DNMRT 5%. The observation indicated that the use of mixture of sawdust and sago pulp as oyster mushroom growing medium were non significantly in improving mycelium growing speed and efficiency of biology, but tent to be the best of mycelium growing time, amount of fruit and long body stem. Media composition 75% sawdust and 25% sago pulp resulted tent to be best among combination treatments.Key Words: Sawdust, Sago Pulp and Oyster Mushrooms.

Abstract

The researchaimed to examinethe effect of waste litter cornand obtain the best  to the growthand yield ofsweet corn(Zea mayssaccharataSturt). This study  has been conducted in Jl.kartama, RT. 04 RW. 07 subdistrict Marpoyan Damai, Pekanbaru from November 2016 to Februari 2017. The researchexperiment use complete design random (CDR) consisting of 4 treatment and 5 replicationthen obtained20 experimentunits. The treatment tested was giving is :K0 = without waste litter corn, K1 = 10 ton/ha (6 kg/plot) of waste litter corn, K2 = 20 ton/ha (6 kg/plot) of waste litter corn, K3 = 30 ton/ha (6 kg/plot) of waste litter corn, K4 = 40 ton/ha (6 kg/plot) of wastelitter corn. The observed used is plant height,male flowersappear,female flowersappear,harvestingage, the production per plot, weight per seed of husk, diameter corncob without husk,cob lenght, and the number of seed lines. Waste litter of corndosage of 24 kg / plot is the best treatment on plant height parameters, male flowersappear, the number of seed lines, and production per plot. Corn waste litter dosage at 18 kg / plot is the best treatment on the parameters of female flowersappear, harvesting age, weight per seed of husk, cob length, and the diameter corncob. Keywords : Waste litter corn, Sweet corn

Abstract

PulauJemur is located in Rokan Hilir that have natural conditions with high aesthetic value of beach area that became a breeding green turtle (Chelonia mydas)very rare to be found. Drying island also has a wealth of marine life and beautiful coral reefs so it has great potential to serve as an appeal promising ecotourism environment. This study aimed to identify the potential of ecotourism in protected areas PulauJemur Pasir Limau Kapas Rokan Hilir. This study uses observation and interviews and data analysis used in this research is qualitative descriptive analysis. The research showed that the region has the potential of ecotourism PulauJemur be a potential natural vegetation by votes Fandeli (2000) were classified into categories that range between 11-20 species and biota potential falls into the category of being ranged between 6-10 species, and has characteristicslike biota turtle green (Chelonia mydas) which is an endangered species that is included in the category of unique. While the potential of artificial tourism based on interviews related to the availability of facilities and infrastructure to the community PulauJemur region (83,33%) and visitors (65,00%) provide very adequate value. Keywords: Potential, Pulau Jemur, Ecotourism, Conservation.

Abstract

This research is to figure out the interaction influences of two species of dragon fruit seedlings and the application of compound NPK fertilizer, and to determinate the best fertilizer dosage for dragon fruit seedling growth. This research had implemented in Screen Home  Experimentation Faculty Agriculture, University of Riau on November of 2015 until February 2016 by station factorial design which is arranged in Randomized Block Design (RAK) and consists of two factors. The first factor is the species of dragon fruits (N); red and white. The second factor is the giving of compound NPK fertilizer, they are 1 g, 2 g, 3 g, 4 g and 5 g. Data obtained of the research, analyzed with variance and Honestly Significant Difference (BNJ) on 5%. Results of the research suggest that the interacton between two species of dragon fruit seedlings and the suggest of NPK fertilizer there is no significant difference on budding, the number and the length of budding, the number and  the length of roots, the volume of roots, the fresh and dry weight of budding. The application of compound NPK fertilizer there is no significant difference in all of observatios. Based on is the researchs of stem cutting growth of two species of dragon fruit seedlings is recommended to give 1 g/ 3 kg soilof compound NPK fertilizer.Keywords: dragon fruit, compound
