Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertjuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan konsentrasi HCl berbeda pada ekstraksi kandungan mineral kulit teripang pasir (Holothuria scabra). Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan tiga tahap perlakuan yaituHCl dengan konsentrasi 6% (K1), HCl dengan konsentrasi 7%(K2), dan HCl dengan konsentrasi 8% (K3). Parameter yang diamati pada kulit teripang pasir segar yaitu kadar air 20,57%, kadar abu, 50,33%, kadar lemak 0,88%, kadar protein 14,87% dan kadar karbohidrat 13,35%. Komposisi pada tepung kulit teripang pasirmemilikikadar air 5,26%, abu 61,11%, lemak 0,38%, protein 17,02%, dan karbohidrat 16,23%, kandungan mineral pada kulit teripang pasirterdiri darikalsium 0,0043%, kalium 0,00023%, Natrium 0,00054%, Magnesium 0,0021%dan besi 0,00031%, serta rendemen tepung kulit teripang pasir sebesar 75,71%.  Kata kunci: Asam  klorida,Kulit Teripang pasir, Mineral.

Abstract

This study was intended to evaluate chemical quality changes of smoked catfish during storage and their correlation to sensory quality values. One hundred fish which was taken from fish culture pond in Sungai Paku were hot-smoked at 60-100oC. The smoked fish was packed in plastic bag and stored at room (28±1 oC) and chilled temperature (5±1oC) for 42 days. Changes in chemical and sensory quality were evaluated; and the values were compared. TVB, TBA, FFA and PV value of smoked fish increased during storage; and the smoked fish stored at room temperature increased faster than that stored in chilling temperature. The sensory quality value however decreased during storage. The sensory quality value of smoked fish stored at room temperature decreased faster than that stored in chilled temperature. Based on the sensory quality value, the smoked fish stored at room temperature was rejected after 14 days, and chilled temperature after 35 days. The correlation value of TVB, TBA, FFA and PV with sensory value of smoked fish stored at room temperature was 0,92; 0,97; 0,96; 0,94 respectively; and chilled temperature was 0,93; 0,87; 0,91; 0,93 respectively.Keywords: Quality, room and chilling temperatures, shelf life, smoked catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus)

Abstract

The research was conducted from October to December 2016 in the PeatLand Kualu Nenas village, Tambang Subdistrict, Kampar Regency, RiauProvince. The aim of this research was to find out the influence of biofertilizerdifferent on some parameters of chemistry in the ground peat pond and todetermine opportune biofertilizer different to increase the productivity of landpeat pond. The method used in this study is an experimental method, using aComplete Random Design (CRD) with 1 factor, 4 treatments, and 3 replications.The treatment used in this experiment is chicken fecal biofertilizer gift (P1), cowfecal biofertilizer (P2), dan human fecal biofertilizer (P3). Result of this researchshow best treatment is human fecal biofertilizer (P3) for pH soil, N total, P total,K total, KBOT, C/N rasio, and soil ammonia, chiken fecal biofertilizer (P1) for Ntotal, C/N rasio, and soil ammonia, cow fecal biofertilizer (P2) for N total, P total,and K total. Water quality of pH range from 5-6,7, DO 4,28-4,75, the best CO2 ishuman fecal biofertilizer (P3) 17,33 mg/l, nitrate 2,45-3,77 mg/l, andorthoposphate 1,64-2,56 mg/l.Keyword : Ground Peat, Chemistry Parameter, and Biofertilizer

Abstract

Heterotrophic bacteria have a role as decomposer of organic compounds (mineralization) and inorganic nitrogen (ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate) derived from industrial waste, decomposition of uneaten feed, faecal, excretion of fish and have the ability to inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria. This research was conducted in November untill December 2016. The results of antagonism test showed isolated bacteria have the ability to inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria (Vibrio algynolyticus, Aeromonas hydrophila and Pseudomonas sp.) Zone of inhibition in D5, D6 and D4 isolates classified in the strong category with zone of inhibition average of 10.5 to 11.8 mm and zone of inhibition in D1, D2, D3, D5, D7 isolates classified in the medium category with zone of inhibition average of 5.3 to 8.5 mm and each of the isolates are also classified in the weak category. The results of DNA analysis of heterotrophic bacteria isolated from marine waters of industrial area and low salinity of estuarine waters by using the PCR method technique 16S sequences found three strains of bacteria from the highest level of homology Bacillus toyonensis, Bacillus cereus and Bacillus pseudomycoides. D1 isolates has similarity to Bacillus cereus strain ASK16, D2 isolates to Bacillus toyonensis strain AC OPR1150Xg, D3 isolates to Bacillus pseudomycoides strain F1-8, D4 isolates to Bacillus cereus strain SBFW51, D5 isolates to Bacillus cereus strain OPP5 3-2, D6 to Bacillus cereus strain SBFW5S, D7 isolates to Bacillus cereus strain B4. Most of isolated bacteria obtained from the waters of industrial area because it receives much of nutrients that are very influential in the growth of bacteria.Kata Kunci : Bakteri Hetrotrofik, Antagonisme, Sekuens 16S rRNA

Abstract

Teluk Buo mangrove forest is one of tourist destination in the Sumatera Barat Province. The input of pollutant originated from anthropogenic activities, however, reducing the water quality and as a consequence negatively affects the mangrove ecosystem as well as the associated organisms, including gastropods. To understand the community structure of gastropods in the mangrove ecosystem, a research was conducted on February 2017. There were 3 line transects and in each line, 9 plots (1mx1m) were placed. The gastropods present in the plots were collected manually everyday for 2 weeks period. Result shown that there were 7 gastropods species present, they were Nerita lineata, Nerita undata, Terebralia sulcata,Telescopium telescopium, Cerithidea quadrata, Littoraria melanostoma and Littoraria scabra. The gastropods abundance was ranged from 1.741 to 5.963 organisms/ha. The value of diversity index was (H’) 0.821-2.385, the dominance index (C) was 0.219-0.704, and the uniformity index (E) was 0.118-0.584. The water quality parameters are as follows: temperature was 29-310C; pH was 7.3-7.5 and salinity was 25-34 0/00. Gastropods Community Structure in the Mangrove Ecosystem in the Teluk Buo has been disturbed and the dominant species (T. sulcata).Keywords:Gastropods, Mangrove Ecosystem, Teluk Buo, Water quality

Abstract

ABSTRAKThis research was conducted in January 2017 which is located in sub district of Airtiris Kampar regency of Riau Province. This study aims to determine the development of aquaculture as well as to determine the impact of the development of aquaculture to the income of society and employment in the urban village. The method used in this study is a Survey with the number of respondents as many as 63 people.Aquaculture in Airtiris there are two is one aquaculture in Karamba and aquaculture in pond, aquaculture in karamba every year has increased seen from the increasing number of karamba units, while aquaculture in pond decreased due to reduced land due to the constructions of building and housing. The development of aquaculture provides an opportunity for the society to create new business venture related to aquaculture. Such as the business of making karamba, pellet making business, pellet selling business, fish seed supplying business, land leasing business and food sales business around the river, thereby increasing the income of society and can reduce unemployment rate. Key Word : Aquaculture, Income, Employment.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop science and technology for the public to provide information on the quality of smoked fish that are processed using traditional liquid smoke and fumes. The use of liquid smoke and fumes traditionally expected to be an alternative curing methods that are environmentally friendly, pose no danger carcinogens, as well as producing good quality smoked fish. The study uses the completely randomized design (CRD).The treatment is traditionally smoked catfish (At), catfish pyrolysis liquid smoke (Ap) and cathish liquid smoke destillate (Ad) to repeat 3 times.Results of research conducted on smoked catfish with different curing that panelists preferred the rough catfish liquid smoke (pyrolysis). Based on organoleptic assessment (fine aroma, taste and texture), catfish with AP treatment has the best quality compared to other treatments with such characteristics intact, clean, brown, shiny very specific kind. Less fragrant aroma, smell smoke enough without additional intrusive. Taste and less savory. Dense texture is compact, dry, tightly categorized between good tissue and meet (SNI.2725.1: 2009) as well as chemical assessment protein content, ash content and moisture content are also the best value while nilaipH AP treatment and total phenol best value, namely the treatment of AD.Keyword : Liquid smoke, Catfish, Quality

Abstract

This research was conducted from February to March 2017 in the Kualu Nenas village, Tambang Distric, Kampar Regency, Riau. And Analyze Identification In Water Quality Management Laboratory. The purpose of this research is to know the best abundance of zooplankton on peat soil. The method used in this research is the experimental method using complete randomized design (RAL) 1 factor with 4 treatment levels and 3 repelications. treatment used are without vermicompost (P0), vermicompost from human fecal (P1), vermicompost from cow dung (P2), vermicompost from chicken manure (P3). The results suggest that treatments is vermicompost from human fecal (P1). The results showed that got 21 zooplankton species from 4 classes that: Protozoa, Rotatoria, Crustacea, dan Insecta. classes protozoa is 1 species, than Rotatoria class 13 species, Crustacea class 5 species, and Insecta class 1 species. Zooplankton abundance best is P1 with abundance of 11439 ind/l.Keywords : vermicompost, zooplankton, peat soil

Abstract

Abstract The research was conducted in July 2017 in the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory of the Fisheries and Marine Sciences Faculty University of Riau. The research was to determine the effect of ovaprim on ovulation and egg quality of silimang batang (Epalzeorhynchos kalopterus). The method used is an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. Treatment in this study were P0 (NaCl 0,9% dose of 1 ml / kg body weight) P1 (ovaprim dose of 0,3 ml / kg body weight) P2 (ovaprim dose of 0,5 ml/ kg body weight) and P3 (dose ovaprim 0,7 ml / kg body weight).The results of the research showed that the ovaprim doses 0.7 ml / kg body weight gave the optimum result inter of latent period (4,31 hours), number of egg striping (307 eggs / gram broodstock),the ovisomatik index (11,09%), increase the diameter eggs (0,145 mm) and percent increase egg maturation (21%). Keywords: Ovaprim doses, Ovulation, Ovisomatik indeks and egg quality

Abstract

This research was conducted in May 2016 in the city of Pariaman, West SumatraProvince of Indonesia. The purpose of this research are to analyze the business investment ofhandline fishing gear, profitability of fishing gear extended and the feasibility of catching upwith fishing gear stretching. This research used survey method. The population of theresearch are the owners of handline totaled 129 people, with a total sample of 5 people forfishermen strata 1 and 5 people for fishermen strata 2.The research results businesses overextend profitable fishing gear according to thegross income of handline fishermen fishing strata 1 per year as much as IDR.67.162.000 andfishermen gross income stratum 2 per year as much as IDR.94.630.000,- net income ofhandline fishermen fishing strata 1 per year as much as IDR.18.579.083,3 and net income ofhandline fishermen fishing strata 2 per year as much as IDR.18.695.716,7. Feasibilityanalysis shows the business can be continued according to the value of RCR > 1, the value ofPPC shows long payback of fishermen strata 1 for one year less one day and fishermenstratum 2 for 1 year 1 month 6 days andthen FRR value handline fishermen fishing effortstratum 1 and stratum 2 < bank lending rates prevailing then that business investment shouldbe deposited to the bank because it is more profitable.Keywords: Business Analysis, Handline Fishing, Feasibility Study, Fishermen,Pariaman City
