Abstract

This research was conducted in April 2016. Sampling was conducted on mangrove forest ecosystems in Teluk Pulai Pasir Limau Kapas Rokan Hilir in Riau Province. The purpose of the research is to analyze the content of carbon in mangrove forest ecosystems as well as to determine the ability to these ecosystems to store carbon per unit area of mangrove forest area in the village of Teluk Pulai. The method used in this study is a survey method, which observation and sampling on the field and do the samples analyzed in the laboratory. Based on the average yield of total biomass of mangrove highest at station 1 is 198.58 ton/ha while the lowest was at station 3 is 68.80 tons/ha. The average yield of total carbon stocks are highest in station 1 with a value of 300.31 tons/ha while the total carbon stock was lowest for the station 3 with a value of 222.74 tons/ha.Keyword: Teluk Pulai, Mangrove, Biomass, Carbon

Abstract

This study was conducted in October 2016 which located in Tampan Village Payung Sekaki Subsdistrict Pekanbaru City Riau Province. This study was to identify the marketing conditions ornamental fish inside and outside of local and system marketing in expand the marketing in the diamond fish club. Methods used in this research is a method of survey with 8 respondents determinatied by the census. The result showed that marketing ornamental fish in the done at retail and packages, while marketing ornamental fish in other regions be done in pacages. Cost of, quarantine and risk of death ornamental fish borne of the cultivator (members of the group). Sales in the package fish addressed to cultivator of the and traders retailer, while retail are more dominant to individuals. The expansion of the marketing done by means of join the contest, recruiting members from outside, training and cooperation.Keywords: marketing, ornamental fish, Diamond Fish Club

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research was conducted in the dark moon in Mei 2017 In Penaah Village District Senayang Lingga Regency Province Kepulauan Riau. Most of lift net fishermen in Penaah vilageconduted fishing byusing petromax lamp fishing gear. The objective of the research is to understand the effect of light colors distinchen  towards fish catch and its fish species.The method in this researchby using Experimental. The treatment of light color are transparent color, blue color and yellow colorfor three Lift Net’s. The species caught are anchovies (Stolephorus commersoni) (137,9 kg), Yellowstripe Scad(Selaroides leptolepis)(47,1 kg) squid (Loligo sp) (38 kg), FringescaleSardinella(Sardinella fimbriata) (33,4 kg), cuttlefish(Sepia.sp) (18,9 kg), Great Barracuda(Sphyraena sp) (10,3 kg), Orangefin Ponyfish(Leiognathus sp) (1,6 kg) and Tropical Silverside(Atherinomorus sp) (1 kg). The results showed that of analisis of variance have significant effect on the color of the light weight of the total catch. In the operation of the fishing gear underwaterlamp blue light is more effective than a transparent color underwaterlamp  and yellow colorunderwaterlamp.Keywords: Lift net, penaahvillage, light color

Abstract

This study was conducted on April 2016 in Mompang Julu Village Penyabungan Utara Subdistrict, Mandailing Natal Regency. The puspose of this study was to know investment cost, gross income, nett income, feasibility and prospect of enlargement cultivation of carp in pond on the future. This study used a survey method. The population in this study is the fish farmers. The respondent determined by census. Based on the result of this study concluded that the, financial analysis and the feasibility is Rp. 48.167.100 investment cost, Rp. 55.843.200 gross income, Rp. 17.154.000 nett income, 1,39 BCR and 39,68 FRR. Abstract

The study on diatom epipelic has been conducted in Cawan Island coastal waters of Indragiri River’s estuary, Riau Province. The main purpose of this research was to learn the community structures of epipelic diatom and water quality conditions. The method used were consisting of field survey and data gathering from related parties. The epipelic diatom samples were collected by using 5x5 cm2  plots. Diatom samples and water quality analysis were done in Marine Biology Laboratory of Faculty of Fishery and Marine Science. The results showed that community structures of epipelic diatom had intermediate level of contaminant. The 2 indexes, i.e.the diversity index (H’) and the eveness index (E’), were calculated at the values of  2.768 and  0.499, respectively. As for the dominant index (D) the value was at 0.176. Most of the parameters value of water quality (chemical and physics) were in the range of the aquatic organisms life. Statistical analysis showed the abundance of epipelic diatom between station were relatively similar. Keywords: Diatom Epipelic, Estuary, Coast, Cawan Island

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was conducted in August 2017 at Laut Tawar Lake, Toweren Village, Lut Tawar Sub-district, Central Aceh District, Aceh Province. This study aims to determine the gross income and net income of Fish Depik fishing business. And To know the feasibility of fishing equipment Jaring Insang. The method used in this study is the survey method with the number of respondents as many as 30 people, 30 census sampling method.The results of this study indicate a favorable fishing effort based on the catching of Depik fish according to the criteria of gross income and net income. Gross revenue (GI) from fishing equipment business is Rp. 39.593.333, - / Year and net income of shrimp nets fishermen is Rp.14.212.532 / Year. Based on financial analysis based on RCR calculation result of Fish catching business is 1.5 which means this business is profitable and feasible to continue although not large. FRR with the calculation of net income per year / total invetasi multiplied by period, hence obtained FRR result 43,5% bigger than interest rate in banks today 7% and get profit to invested. PPC for 2 years 2 months 12 days which means the greater the value of PPC the longer the payback period of business investment or the smaller the value of PPC the faster the payback period of business investment. Keywords : Business Analysis, Fish Depik, Feasibility Study, Toweren Village.

Abstract

This study was conducted in May 2016 located in Jambi processing units fish (UPI) subsdistrict Taman Rajo district Muaro Jambi, Jambi province. Research aims to knew about input products, investment and profit processing catfish fillet in unit fish processing Muaro Jambi. Methods used in research was case study with the number of respondents was 15 people. The raw material for making catfish with average about 10.000 kg (10 tons) per month produce fillet about 5 tons, raw materials derived from fish farmer in 7 village from district Muaro Jambi. Number of workers as many as 15 passenger with details 2 workers fixed and 13 workers no fixed. Investment management catfish fillet in Muaro Jambi Rp 1.170.975.000,- meanwhile total cost (fixed costs and variable costs) issued Rp 174.519.931,- per month. Gross income received in once production by Rp 243.309.000,- per month and net income of Rp 68.789.069,- per month.Keywords: input supply, fillet, investments, UPI, Muaro Jambi

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to determine the effect of different drying time to nori seaweed (Gracilaria sp.) The method used was experimental with different of drying time of nori seaweed processing. The method used was experimental and composed as non factorial Completely Randomized Design (RAL), which consisted of 3 levels,namely:long drying 18, 20 and 22 hours. The parameters used were sensory evaluation, the value of water content, ash content, and fiber content. Based on parameters of different drying time to nori seaweed the best treatment was long drying 22 hours with appearance (6.17), flavor (8,01), taste(7,61) and texture(8,15) with characterictics appearance is green, fragrant aroma, good with specific seaweed taste, and rough and crisp textures.the chemical values obtained water content (12,97%), ash content (0,70%) and fiber content (8,12%).Keywords: nori seaweed, Gracilaria sp., drying

Abstract

Abstract The rapid growth of industrial sectors in various countries leads to an increase in greenhouse gas emissions such as carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere. One important aspect of reducing carbon gas is the maintenance of forests and oceans to store carbon. One of the potential marine resources for storing CO2 is the seagrass. Waters of the North Sea Penyengat Island has a community of seagrasses composed by various types, one of which is Enhalus acoroides which has an important role as carbon store. This research was conducted in October-November 2017 in the waters of East Sea of Penyengat Island which aims to find out the condition of density and biomass on sea grass in Above ground and Below ground (rhizoma and root) density to seagrass biomass on seagrass. Data were obtained by using the quadratic transect method performed on 4 stations. The results showed that the density of seagrass in the study location was moderate, where the density of seagrass Station III was higher than other stations. The greatest biomass value is found in the rhizomes and roots of seagrasses in all four stations. Less seagrass areas are anthropogenic, ie station III which has a greater biomass potential than the seagrass area with the opposite condition. Keywords: Global warming, Biomass, Seagrass, Penyengat island.

Abstract

This research was conducted from December 2015 until January 2016 at Technology Research and Development Center in Riau Balitbang. The purpose of this research was to investigate growth and survival rate of african catfish with difference of stocking density in bioflocs techniques. This research using experimental method and completely random design (RAL) with three treatment and three replications, three are P1 : Stocking density 200 ekor/m3, P2 : Stocking density 300 ekor/m3, P3 : Stocking density 400 ekor/m3. The result showed that african catfish with difference of stocking density in bioflocs techniques significant effect on quality of water, absolute length growth, spesific growth rate, the growth of absolute weight, and survival rate. The best treatment were obtained in treatment stocking density 300 ekor/m3, with value growth of quality of water (temperature 27-32oC, DO 3,09-4,16 mg/L, pH 6,7-7,1 and NH3 0,07-0,09 mg/L) absolute weight 50,15 g, growth in absolute length 12,63 cm, specific growth rate 3,99% and survival rate 98,16%.Keyword : african catfish, stocking density, Bioflocs technology
