Abstract

AbstractThere were many activites that take place in kolong of tin post mining in BaranTimurVillage MeralDistrictKarimunRegency Kepulauan Riau Province,One of which is fishery activites suspected to provide input in the form of leftover food and metabolic that influenced concentration of nutrient(N and P) in the water.This research aims to know the trophic state in ex-tin mining the ponds kolong of tin post mining in BaranTimur Village Meral District KarimunRegency Kepulauan Riau Provincebased on nitrate and phosphate concentration.A research was conducted during July 2019. There were three stations namely station 1 (inlet area), station 2(in middle of kolong) and station 3 (outlet area). There were 3 vertical sampling points, in the surface, in 2 Secchidepthand in 4 Secchi depth. Sampling was done 3 times, once/week. Water quality parameters measured were nitrate, phosphate, temperature, transparency, pH, dissolved oxgen, and carbon dioxide. Results shown that the nitrate 0.043-0.061 mg/L, phosphate 0.085-0.125 mg/L, temperature 30.3-310C, transparency73.3-78 cm, depth 4-7 m, pH 5, dissolved oxygen 4.10-6.91 mg/L and carbon dioxide 3.32-7.32 mg/L. Based on nitrate concentration,the trophic state in ex-tin mining the ponds of Kolong Tin Post Mining in Baran Timur Village Meral District KarimunRegency Kepulauan Riau Province was oligotrophic, while based on phosphate concentration, it can be categorized as mesotrophic. Keyword :trophic state, nitrate, phosphate

Abstract

ABSTRACTDevelopment of tools cather fish mush be selective to decrease the insignifcant fish get caught, so the fish that caught already fulfill the criteria of eligible catch fish. This research was conducted in Alai Village, Meranti Islands Regency, as a purpose to analyst the gillnet selectivity level of 3 inches and 4 inches. The results show that the 3 inch mesh size the higher the catch size (above 20 cm) the lower the capture ratio and the 4 inch mesh size the higher the catch size (above 20 cm) the higher the catch ratio. Keywords : Gill Nets , Lomek Fish, How to Catch Fish, Nets Selectivity

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to determine the effect of differences in stocking density on the growth and survival of nilem fish (Osteochilus hasselti) using the recirculation system. The research container used was 12 aquariums measuring 60 x 40 x 40 cm. This study used an experimental method with one factorial completely randomized design, four treatments and three replications. The treatments applied were different stocking densities, namely P1 = 100 heads / m3 or 7 heads / 72 liters, P2 = 150 heads / m3 or 11 heads / 72 liters, P3 = 200 heads / m3 or 14 heads / 72 liters and P4 = 250 heads / m3 or 18 heads / 72 liters. The results showed that the treatment of different stocking densities in the recirculation system had a significant effect on the growth of nilem fish and the specific growth rate, but had no significant effect on feed conversion, blood glucose and the survival of the nilem fish seeds. The best treatment was P4 250 head / m3, which resulted in absolute weight growth (3.48 grams), absolute length growth (3.02 cm), specific growth rate (3.47%), feed conversion (1.50), blood glucose (82.33-84.33 mg / dL) and 90.74% survival rate. The quality of water during the research was obtained a temperature of 27-30oC, pH 6–7, (DO) 7,1 – 7,7 mg/L and ammonia 0,0004-0,0017 mg/L.Keywords:Nilem fish,Stocking density, Recirculation

Abstract

AbstractLaundry liquid waste is rich in TSS and TDS. Efforts to reduce the level of TSS and  TDS can be conducted by using biofilter. To understand the effect of  plastic bottle biofilter media with different amountsto reduce the TSS and TDS the laundry liquid waste, a research has been done in October-December 2019. There were 3 treatments applied, namely the number of bottles 25 (P1), 50 (P2) and  75 (P3) in anaerobic reactors with 3 replications in each treatments. Each anaerobic reactor contains a series of modified plastic bottles. The seeding time of the biofilm was 30 days and the retention time of the water was 8 hours. The effectiveness of TSS decrement was 61.7%, 73.8% dan 83.5% in P1, P2, and P3 respectively. While the effectiveness of TDS decrement was 47.1%, 61.3% and 72.1%. in P1, P2, and P3 respectively. Based on this research, it could be concluded that the of  plastic bottle biofilter media with different was able to reduce of TSS dan TDS in the laundry liquid waste. And plastic bottle media with different show a real different decreament of those parameters. Keywords: wastewater, detergent,contaminant, continue system,bacteria.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted in CV. Sasak Waters Idol Group Sasak Ranah Pasisie sub- District, West Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra Province. The purpose of this study are (1) To find out the income of fishing business using purse seine in the waters of Pasisie realm. (2) How the feasibility of catching businesses using trawl fishing gear is seen from the investment criteria and NPV (net preset value) business analysis, BCR (benefit cost ration), IRR (internal rate of ration) in Sasak pasisie realm waters. (3) Analyzing the sensitivity of 45 GT vessels viewed from investment criteria (NVP, BCR, and IRR) if there is an increase in variable costs and decreased revenue. The results of this study are that the fishing gear business in CV. The Idola Group can be concluded that (1) the total investment of 45 GT Trawl Ring business is IDR 1,275,185,000. As for the annual revenue of the 45 GT fleet of 119,550 kg.(2) Based on the investment criteria the NPV value of the Trawl Ring fishing gear business measuring 45 GT is IDR 1,448,809,360, BCR is 1.23 and IRR is 86.03% for 10 years of business. (3) Based on the sensitivity analysis carried out by the Trawler ring measuring 45 GT with the Revenue scenario model down 10% and the cost is assumed to be a fixed NPV ofIDR 666,409,360, BCR of 1.10, and an IRR of 86.03%, then an increase in cost of 10% is assumed to be fixed NPV of IDR 811,290,296, BCR of 1.12, IRR of 86.03.Keywords :    Business Analysis. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research aim to know comparison of day and night catches based on species, weight (kg), and individuals in trammel net fishing gear. The research method used is a survey method by direct observation of trammel net catches and then identified for fish species,  the number of individuals, and the weight of fish, then analyzed with, using a two-way T-test.  Descriptive results show that there are differences in day and night catches based on weight (kg) and number of individuals, where the most catches are found at night with the total weight of catches 26.1 kg and the number of individuals 653 tail Types of catches daytime and night  obtained the same consists of 7 types, namely gogo shrimp (Metapenaeus monoceras), tiger shrimp (Penaes monodon), layur fish (Thirchius savala), bilis fish (Mystacoleucus padangensis), puput fish (ilisha elongati), Gulamah fish (Johnius trachycephalus) and bleary fish (Mystacoleucus padangensis), puput fish (ilisha elongati), Gulamah fish (Johnius trachycephalus) and  crossbreed fish (Paraplotosus albilabris).Keywords :Trammel net ,comparison , Metapenaeus monoceras

Abstract

Abstract The Kampar River is one of the rivers in the province of Riau, which is in Bukit Barisan around the Province of West Sumatera and it rises on the east coast of Sumatera island. The National Sanitation Foundation-Water Quality Index (NSF-WQI) is an index method of water quality assessment to analyse both and poor water quality for the survival of aquatic organisms and water pollution control program assessment data. The purpose of this research is to determine the quality value of Kampar river water in Lubuk Siam Village area based on NSF-WQI. Measurement and sampling of the Kampar river water quality is conducted in February - March 2020. The measurement and sampling of water quality parameters is done at 3 research stations with 1 sampling point on the surface of the water. Measurement and sampling of water quality parameters at all three research stations is conducted 3 times with a time interval of one week. Some parameters of water quality to determine the index of NSF-WQI values are temperature, turbidity, total solids, pH, BOD, dissolved oxygen, nitrates, and total phosphate. The results of measuring water quality parameters at each station are as follows: Temperature 28,33–29,66 °c, turbidity 32,73–33,47 NTU, TSS 41,66–46,66 mg/L, dissolved oxygen 6.11–6.77 mg/L,pH 5, BOD5 3.85–4.59 mg/L, nitrate 0,0541–0,0715 mg/L, total P 0,1821–0,2345 mg/L. Quality assessment of Kampar River water in Lubuk Siam Village area based on NSF-WQI is 64,19–66,83 with moderate water quality criteria. The value of NSF-WQI on the Kampar River in Lubuk Siam Village area can still support the life of aquatic organisms.Keywords:Aquatic, Anayse,Kampar River, Method, Parameter, Value

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted in September- October 2019 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty Riau University, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine the best dose of cow biourin in increasing the growth rate and biomass production of Spirulina sp.. The method used in this research was experimental using Completely Random Design (CRD) one factor with four treatments and repeated three times. The treatments used was  Walne 1ml/L  (Control) , Biourin-1,5 ml/L , Biourin-3,5 ml/L and Biourin-5,5 ml/L. Cultivation was carried out for nine days, using biurin and Walne . The results showed that the treatment of the of  cow biourin with  differences dose affected the population density and specific growth rate. Biourin-5,5 ml/L gave the best results with a cell density of 337,5 x 104 cells / ml and a specific growth rate of 0,76214/ day with peak growth occurring on the day seven. Water quality parameters during the study were optimal for the growth of Spirulina sp.with a water temperature of 29-33 0C, pH 7-8.9 and dissolved oxygen 8-8.5 mg / l. Keywords: Biourin, Spirulina sp, Dose.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to determine the physical-chemical assessments of crackers added with different gourami meat and to determine crackers preferred by consumers. The method used was an experimental method using a non factorial Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 levels of treatment, namely: H1 (100 g gourami meat), H2 (150 g gourami meat), and H3 (200 g gourami meat). The analysis parameters observed were sensory / consumer acceptance (appearance, aroma, taste, and texture), the ability to swell, and chemical properties (moisture, ash, protein, and fat). Based on this study, 200 g (H3) gourami meat was the best crackers / favored by 76 panelists (95%) consumers with yellowish-white appearance characteristics (3.75), specific fish flavor and meat aroma (3.73), fishy taste (3.43), crispy, chewy, and dense texture (2.75). While, the chemical properties were moisture3.85%moisture content, 2.00% ash content, 3.85% fat content, 11.13% protein content, and the ability to swell of 325.80%.Keywords: Gourami, fish crackers,physical and chemical properties, the ability to swell

Abstract

AbstractEnzyme are a group of proteins that are abundant in living cells in have important functions as catalyst for biochemical reactions. The research was conducted for 50 days on 08 april - may 2019 at the laboratory of cultivation technology ,Faculty Of Fisheries And Marine,University Of Riau. The purpose of this research was yo determine the optimal dose of bromelin in feed in creasing grownt and survival rate of rivel catfish seeds. River catfish(Hemibagrus nemurus) seeds used in this research were obtained from fish formers in Bangkinang,Riau. The research  contained used in the from  an aquarium measuring  60 x 40 x 40 cm as many as 15 containers whit a stocking density of river catfish seeds 1 tail / 2,5 L of water. This research conducted experimentaly by using a compietely randomized desig (CRD) one factorial,whit five treatments and three replications. The treatment were the addition of bromelin enzyme on of feed commercial whit different doses of p1 : 2%/kg of feed, p2 : 3,5%/kg of feed, p3 : 5%/kg of feed, p4 : 6,5%/kg of feed, p5 : 8%/kg of feed. The result showed that the addition of bromelin in feed whit different doses. Significantly affected (P<0,05) on absolute weight, absolute lenght, spesific growth rate, and survival rate. The best growth was p2 treatment whit 6,98 grams absolute weight value, 4,99 cm absolute legth , 2,08 % specific growth rate, and 100% survival rate. Water quality  in this research is still in the normal range of 27,5 - 29,9°C temperature, 6-7 pH, 6,1- 7,3 mg/L dissolved oxygen (DO), and 0,03- 0,09 mg/L ammonia. Keyword : river catfish, bromelin, growth
