Abstract

Power Plant Design Village Siabu water in Kampar, Riau based on the electrical energy needs of the villagers Siabu that there are not fulfilled. Design and Construction of Hydroelectric Power 5 kW capacity is located in the village of Siabu Regency, Riau Kampar by utilizing the flow of the river from the springs Siabu Bukit Barisan area. In this study, water discharge measurements using floating and height measurements falling water using water fitting. From measurements of water discharge and high falling water, is used to determine the design of hydroelectric plants that include pipe dimensions rapidly, kind of water turbines dimensional water turbine, and to determine the capacity of a synchronous generator 3 phase that corresponds to the design of hydropower generation capacity of 5 kW. The calculations show that the potential power that can be generated in Hydroelectric Power Plant in the Village this Siabu theoretically amounted to 5.432 kW to discharge water used by 0.4196 m3 / s and a height of fall of water (head nett) 3 meters. Of discharge water and high water fall is obtained rapidly design pipe with a length of 5 meters and a diameter of 0.3651 meters and turbine diameter dimensions of 30 cm by 163 cm width. Abstract

This study aimed to obtain the optimal setting and should be of 60 MVA at bay transformer protection system at the substation/switch yard Teluk Lembu Pekanbaru. This study uses observation, that determines which objects will be studied to evaluate the coordination of the relay in the transformer of 60 MVA substation Teluk Lembu Pekanbaru. With the data obtained as a diagram of the distribution network of the line (SUTM) substation Teluk Lembu Pekanbaru along with CB data, the transformers, relay specification OCR and resetting existing conditions relay, and additional data that support for this thesis as load data and daily etc. From the calculation results with existing data in the field is still in appropriate conditions (the difference is not too much), so it can be concluded that the overall arrangement of OCR in the field is still in good condition. OCR for relay settings in the feeder has about the same value at which the TMS for OCR each 0,2s in calculations and in the field to OCR, , but there relay settings no longer appropriate that the relay settings on the side of the entrance, where TMS = 0,37s in other words if there is a short circuit fault then the relay will take a long time to work. So setting relay OCR incoming side that is in the field must be set back.Keyword : Setting Protection Relay, OCR (Over Current Relay)

Abstract

Solar selective absorber (SSA) is a layer which is selective to absorb solar radiation and convert it into maximum heat energy. The purpose of this research is to synthesize the SSA based on copper nitrate and cobalt nitrate precursor, to determine the influence of molar ratio and dipping times number to absorptance, and emittance of SSA using the sol gel dip coating method.. Aluminum plates with size of 2x4cm2 were cleaned using phosphoric acid 10% by volume at temperature ±50oC for 10 minutes and then washed again with distilled water. Sol precursor was prepared by mixing copper nitrate and cobalt nitrate in ethanol solvent and the addition of propionic acid as catalyst and complexing agent. This solution was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The coatings were synthesized by varying molar ratio of [Cu]/[Co] of 0,25; 1; and 4 with the number of dipping 1-10 times. The coatings then were annealed at temperature of 550oC for 1 hour. Reflectance spectra in the UV-Vis-NIR show that an increasing number of dipping and decreasing in the molar ratio of [Cu]/[Co] improved the absorptance (). SSA layer with best absorptance i.e. 84,788% is synthesized using precursors with a molar ratio of 4 at 10 dipping times, and emittance (ε) generated amount 8,999%.Keywords : aluminum, dip coating, solar selective absorber.

Abstract

Solar selective absorber (SSA) is a thin film at the surface of the collector that absorbs solar radiation selectively and convert it into maximum heat energy. Solar selective absorber can be synthesized using sol-gel dip-coating method. The purpose of this research is to know the effect variation number of dipping-drying cycles to absorptance copper oxyde coating. Piecesof aluminum with size 2cm x 4cm were cleaned using a solution of phosphoric acid 10% at temperature 50oC for 10 minutes. Sol precursor prepared by disolved copper nitrate trihidrate and propionic acid in ethanol. The sol prekursor was stirred for 2 hours at room temperature. The coating was synthesized with 0.3M and the number of dipping-drying cycles 4x, 6x and 8x, then annealed at temperature 550 oC for 1 hour. The results showed that thehighest absorptance value found in coatings which was synthesized using copper oxyde 0.3M at 8x cycles with absorptance (α) = 71.99%, emitance (ε) = 6.63%, XRD test showed of cupric oxide (CuO).Keywords : coating, solar selective absorber, sol-gel dip-coating.

Abstract

Literature as an art and culture can be used to convey many forms of messages like moral, religion and cultural values that can affect the mindset of society. As time goes by, the art of literature started neglected. This is cause a certain anxiety of the existence of literary art in the future. Related to this issue, Pekanbaru needs The Graha Sastra facilities which can serve as a space and a media appreciation of the literary art. To achieve this goal, Graha Sastra was designed with facilities that can support the literary arts development activities such as education, production and recreation facilities. "Architecture as a language of literature" was appointed as Graha Literature’s design concept. This concept was implemented in the outer space order, mass formation, and the space order in the buildings. Postmodern Architecture approach with emphasis on hybrid method, the design of the Graha Sastra is expected can produce an architectural design which appropriate, either to the building or the enthusiasts of the literary art. Elements of the Graha Satra in Pekanbaru design consist of the zoning area, mass order, the mass formation,outdoor space, structure, space order in buildings and facade. Design patterns at Graha Sastra using design patterns that correspond to the elements of literature and combined two characters style, realism and romanticism. Whereas the application of the concept can be felt at the momentwhen the user reach the recreational facilities through a spinning and contoured circulation as well as stages of the plot of the flow of a story.Keywords: Languange, Literary Elements, Hybrid Architecture

Abstract

Road widening improvement works at the border of Inhu regency – Simpang Japura is the successor road improvement works at Lintas Timur Riau – Jambi road KM 171+700 – 172+790 along 1670 m with 7.6 m width. This research is to analyze the cost differences between flexible and rigid pavement construction works. The construction design for flexible pavement is using component analysis 1987 method and Pd T-12-2003 (Bina Marga Method) for rigid pavement method. The data which needed for analyze is LHR, the value of subgrade CBR test, Inhu district unit price in 2015. The calculation result for each layer of flexible pavement as follow, theaggregate class B thickness for the bottom foundation is 50 cm, class A aggregates for the top foundation surface for is 20 cm, and top layer Laston is 10 cm (AC-BC 6 cm and AC-WC 4 cm)with asphalt prime coat 0.8 liter/m2 and adphalt take coat 0.25 liter/m2. The calculation result for each layer of rigid pavement as follow, the aggregate class A thickness is 25 cm, bottom foundation layer is 15 cm, and hard concrete pavement is 30 cm (min 21 cm), with transverse reinforcement using Ø 32, longitudinal reinforcement D16, and concrete class K-250 for the road sideway. This analyst result taken the construction cost for each method as follow the flexible pavement needed Rp 14.092.817.312,79 to construct and hard pavement Rp. 17.658.141.077,05. The cost deviation between the both methods is Rp. 3.565.323.764,26 or 20,19 %.Keywords: Flexible Pavement, Rigid Pavement, Budget Planning, Cross-East

Abstract

Nowadays, there are still children who have not been able to have the human right in social reality. One of the solution to handle this homeless children’s problem is throught an orphanage.An orphanage of homeless children is a social welfare agencies that has a role in improving the physical, mental, social and economic of homeless children condition. To fulfill this role, thebehavior architecture approach is applied to accommodate and empower the behavior of homeless children. Behavior aspects that applied are territory, privacy, personal space especiallyin dormitory that has privacy activities by using partition, wall and glass. Cluster territory at orphanage region is close region by one way of in and out. The concept of this design is thelabyrinth, which is based on the behavior of homeless children. The labyrinth has a meaning centered with open space in the center of the region, protect is applied with clusters, complex with explorative shape, and flow with arrange every space. In addition, connection spaces are considered based on behavior of homeless children at mosque, education building, clinic, home stay, dining room, gardening area, raising area and the field with arrange proximity space in every functions.Keywords: Orphanage, Homeless Children, Behavior Architecture, labyrinth.

Abstract

Recreation is one thing that needed by the community, include the people in Pekanbaru City. Pekanbaru is developted city. The media that can accommodate the needs of leisure and entertainment for all society is theme park. Japan Theme Park is designed with the concept Japanese culture. Themes and concepts have to be related to Japan in addition to enjoying recreation and entertainment. Visitors can also learn about positive values such the culture of Japan. Japan is the country that has historical links with Indonesia. Japanese culture is shown into Japan Theme Park, grouped and limited to produce any buildings that will be displayed at the Japan Theme Park. Japanese traditional architecture incorporated into the design of Japan Theme Park through the application of some characteristics of Japanese traditional architecture. The direction of building orientation, mass order, building mass formations, building facades, building structure, and interior of the building are the application of some characteristic of Japanese traditional architecture. The approach was applied to all elements of design, ranging from outdoor fabric, formed by the masses, up to the room within Japan Theme Park. With the application of Japanese culture as a concept and Japanese traditional architecture as a theme could cause a great atmosphere of Japan in ancient times. Abstract

Body treatment has become a necessary that can not be separated from women. It because Allah has created the creatures in perfect condition, so human should be grateful. A way to begrateful is keeping and caring of herselves. Muslimah beauty center accommodates the concentrated to make a person looks interesting, beautiful, clean, and health. Muslimah beautycenter adhere to Islamic law. The method transformed akhlakul karimah into architectural form using meaning transformation. Architectural behavior aspects that be applied are privacy,territoriality and personal space. Akhlakul Karimah aspects that be applied are hijab, simplicity, giving, fairness, Ukhuwah Islamiah, and avoid unexpected view. Application of the concept iscontained in setting and circulation space. Privacy using partitions or wall, so the privacy of users can be maintained. That is to keep the views outer room into the inner room. Then, provided asimulation and demonstration space to spend the waiting time. It can influence visitors interactions with other people to keep Ukhuwah Islamiyah. Simplicity be applied with linier circulation. Giving and simplicity concept be applied with mass transformation using substractive and additive from circle, square, and triangle. Abstract

Peat water containing a low pH is not recommended as concrete mixing water. Water has a pH below 7 is acidic water. The acidity of peat water can damage the quality and service life of concrete in the long term. The addicid of the added material such as oil ash or Palm Oil Fuel Ash (POFA) may increase the formation of calcium silicate hydrate as a gel adhesive concrete. This study aims to measure the mechanical properties such as compressive strength, tensile strength and modulus elasticity of concrete with a compressive strength of 35 MPa. Concrete compressive strength OPC and OPC + 10% POFA using peat water as mixing water has decreased by 8.33% and 6.33% of the compressive strength of normal concrete. The results of tensile strength and modulus of elasticity sides show strong results in line with the press. The use of oil ash or Palm Oil Fuel Ash (POFA) showed a decrease in mechanical properties is smaller than OPC concrete with peat water as mixing water. The compressive strength of concrete using peat water as mixing water has a value of compressive strength greater than 90% of the compressive strength of normal concrete, so the peat water is still fit for use as concrete mixing water with treatment (curing) of plain water.Keywords: OPC, mechanical properties, palm oil fuel ash, peat water.
