Abstract

As a Malay traditional craft, Sumatera Songket is known it’s high culture value. With varioud of pattern, the songket has a peculiarity interesting to tourists. Therefore a facility to accommodate songket is needed to conserve and to provide information to public, in order to let them to know and learn decorative of pattern and the process of making the songket. The facility is a center of craft industrial area which produce songket. With the Postmodern Architecture approach, the concept of this center is Khazanah Songket Melayu which is defined as a high value of the culture. Through the neo-vernacularism design method, it is applied on zoning, the massing, the landscaping, and facade. This production center area has applied Songket pattern arrangement, the landscape is in accordance to the mass. While the mass has designed with decorative pattern ornament. The pattern of mangosteen, and local decorative ornament are applied to building facade in neo-vernacularism design.Keywords: Songket, Malay, Neo-Vernacularism, Postmodern Architecture.

Abstract

Every district in Riau province has an arts and culture diverse, as well as the Kuantan Singingi regency. Arts and culture in Kuantan Singingi are still implemented and growing routinely in community life. that is the reason of art and culture center is needed. Arts and Culture Center in Kuantan Singingi is an area that aims to facilitate the activities of arts and culture in Kuantan Singingi regency.Traditional Architecture of Kuantan Singingi be applied to the design, then is found the Tungku Tigo Sajorangan concept, which means the three customary elements are interrelated, to be applied in the design. Method of design Arts and Culture Center in Kuantan Singingi designed by transforming traditional architecture of Kuantan Singingi, namely the Rumah Godang Koto, Balai Adat Koto and Mesjid Koto. The elements of design in traditional Architecture includes regional of patterns and shape of the building mass be transformed in accordance with the state of region and traditional buildings in the Koto area. From the process of traditional building transformation, so that can create a region of Art and Culture Center in Kuantan Singingi with Traditional Architecture.Keywords: Kuantan Singingi, Art and Culture Center, Traditional Architecture, Design Transformation.

Abstract

Pump is a machine that can be used to transporting of fluids from a low pressure to the high pressure. One of the kinds of pump is the centrifugal pump. The centrifugal pump is widely used to any purposes in any company. PDAM Tirta Siak is a company that produces clean water for people. PDAM in their distribution operation uses centrifugal pump. That centrifugal pump has some important component that is named as impeller.The impeller is a component of centrifugal pump that has most influence performance of centrifugal pumpsuch as the head. Design of impeller and volute of centrifugal pump is for handling a different fluid.Peat water has a different viscosity value to clean water. The viscosity cause a slip factor phenomenon. The slip factor decreases absolute velocity in tangential component, therefore this phenomena caused fluid out the pump with larger angle. Based on it, in this research we want to design the impeller that can handling peat water with viscosity as the center point.Keywords : Impeller, (β), Slip factor, Viscosity, Head, Volute.

Abstract

Solar power plant ( SPP ) is an alternative energy which is currently undergoing development but the use of solar power utilization is not optimal due to the intensity of sunlight in Indonesia is only about 5 hours a day . To optimize the use of solar power is so in this paper will be discussed about the development of hybrid bidirectional inverter 1500 Watt design that combines alternative energy solar power plant ( SPP ) with the energy utilities. Hybrid bidirectional inverter can work both ways , namely as inveter and as a rectifier so as to make solar power as a primary energy and energy utilities as secondary energy . In this paper also discusses how much value the efficiency of electric power saving that can be given by this hybrid system in household applications.Keywords : Hybrid Bidirectional Inverter, Alternative Energy, PLTS, SPWM, Household Applications.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the population growth from year to year making greater electrical power requirements. The increasing need for electrical power is obviously increasing the need for power generation as well. It will also greatly affect the operating costs, particularly fuel costs are also getting bigger, so as to obtain electrical power quality and reliable yet economical needed an electric power system operation management was good.Aplication of SCADA systems on the electrical system will automatically increase the level of understanding of the dispatcher, the electrical systems and SCADA systems are applied to the electric power distribution network designed to monitor the activities kelistrikkan at each substation, so the condition of the electricity network can be monitored in real time. In addition to these functions with the SCADA system also serves to perform commands Remote control open /close an LBS (lose breaker sircuit), telsignal and telematering.Keywords: Electricity, SCADA

Abstract

Flood is a frequent disaster in Dumai City and become problems from year to year so that require special attention to handle this matter. This study tries to solve the problem by using a pump. Pumping method can be able to function with optimally, it is necessary to be given temporary pond reservoirs. The pump is used to help accelerate drainage water collected in ponds. Case study area observed is Sei Masang street. this study conducted a pumps simulation with ponds reservoirs by water balance method. The discharge had been calculated by Rational method and IDF curve by Mononobe method. Ponds reservoirs sized (65m x 65m x 2m) requires pumping capacity of 0,5 m3 / sec to handle the floodwaters. So a pump 0,5m3 / sec can be to pump of water from ponds reservoirs to the sea as channel waster.Keywords: flood, drainage system, pond reservoirs, pumps

Abstract

This research discuses about productivity performance for construction of new apron that effect of additional volume in the Contract Change Order and discuses about treatment of project performance acceleration with overtime method, additional resources method, and shift time method that measureable to minimum cost performance till the time schedule planning completely and without disadvantage cost. This research intend to handling most of airport construction matter especially for additional volume matte that effect to productivity decreased that performance delay potentially or additional project time schedule. According of this research implementation of additional resources with shift time can rise productivity everyday without additional extra time. Additional resources with shift time that have minimum cost performance cost, therefor construction of new apron will done on schedule completely with the minimum cost performance.Keyword: Acceleration Productivity, Production Cost, Airport Project,Apron, Overtime, Shift Time, Additional Sources.

Abstract

The implementation of construction projects often mismatch between the planning schedule and the realization at site like Coal Fired Steam Power Plant Project (PLTU) in Tembilahan has been delayed during construction.. Considering the increasing need of electric energy significantly in electricity system in Indragiri Hilir, therefore the construction of Coal Fired Steam Power Plant Project in Tembilahan must be finished soon. Overall progress (consists of Engineering Procurement Construction) till July 2015 had already reached 65%. In the item of civil construction work until this August 2015 is about 48% so that effort in accelerating the work implementation should be made soon to pursue a delay that until now still have deviation. The acceleration of implementation work was done by some simulations, like in simulation 1 there is no additional workers, simmulation 2 is additional overtime hours, simulation 3 is additional workers and equipment, and also there is additional overtime hours as many as the number of workers and equipments in simulation 4. The analysis is focused on foundation work and the structure of the building/area in which the material already available there and should be installed (erection) because their work is a critical path and directly impact on steam power plant system. From the analysis, it obtained the optimum cost and time that the simulation of 3 get the optimum cost as much as Rp6.377.772.000 and cost performance index (CPI) as much as 0,98 and simulation 4 get optimum time of 183 days and schedule performance index (SPI) of 1,01.Keyword : progress, overtime hour, critical path, optimum cost, optimum time

Abstract

The Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas is the most widely used in high voltage applications, such as in gas insulated switchgear (GIS) and the gas circuit breaker (GCB) due to good insulation performance. However, SF6 gas has very serious problems for the environment, namely the global warming potential is very high. Of course, the study of alternative gas is required such as cabon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen (N2), and others for high voltage insulation. From the results of breakdown test on CO2 gas with the needles electrodes configuration or the spheres electrodes for several pressure gas level at 1 bar, 2 bars, 3 bars, and 4 bars, respectively, show the breakdown voltage of CO2 gas is proportional to pressure gas. Then, from the research data were also obtained that the breakdown voltage of CO2 gas is greater than the air. The analysis of weibull distribution weibull probability indicates that the voltage for the breakdown voltage of CO2 gas is proportional to the pressure of the gas. breakdown voltage also proportional to the distance between the needle-needle electrodes or sphere electrodes.Key words: CO2 gas, weibull distribution, breakdown voltage

Abstract

Insulation of Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas, nitrogen (N2) gas and Carbon Dioxide (CO2) gas usually used in circuit breaker. Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas is widely used in high-voltage system. Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas has a higher dielectric strength than the dielectric strength of air. However, Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas is not environmentally friendly and very impact on global warming.The purpose of this study was to test the breakdown voltage of nitrogen (N2) gas is more environmentally friendly as an alternative to insulation of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas. This study use electrodes balls and needles with a distance of 0.5-2 cm and use pressure of 1-4 bar being tested as much as 20 times the experiment. From the test results obtained that the breakdown voltage electrode bigger balls than the electrode needles. Electrode balls with a distance of 2 cm and a pressure of 4 bar has a value of breakdown voltage greater than 140 kV, while the electrode needles with a distance of 2 cm and a pressure of 4 bar has a breakdown voltage of 79 kV.Keywords : Electrodes, Nitrogen (N2) Gas, Insulation of Gas, Dielectric Strength, Breakdown
