Abstract

Trans Metro Pekanbaru (TMP) is public transportation that has been operating since 2009 in Pekanbaru. It has function to reduce the problems related to public transport and traffic that appear because of the development of the city itself. During the time, the changing of passenger quantity, service quality and operation could happen anytime. Therefore, this research was done to find out the effectivity of Trans Metro Pekanbaru corridor II that serves the transportation from Terminal Bandar Raya Payung Sekaki (BRPS) to Kulim with the load factor as the indicator. The aim of this research is to determine the value of load factor and analyze the characteristic of Trans Metro Pekanbaru route that refer to the changing of load factor value, especially to the corridor of Terminal BRPS- Kulim. The results of this research were TMP busses of Corridor II which were not effective yet if we concern from the number of passenger, because the most of  the load factor on this corridor has not appropriate the standard load factor value yet, based on the SK Dirjen No. 687 at 2002 (70%), so it was not optimal in serving the movement of passengers. Based on the result of the analysis, the characteristics of Trans Metro Pekanbaru Corridor II has value load factor greater than 70% were in the holiday period from Terminal Bandar Raya Payung Sekaki to Kulim was the Kantor Pos shelter - Metro Plaza 1 shelter that is a transit shelter in the city center and shelter at the shopping center. From the results of statistical tests that have been performed, the selection mode equation Trans Metro Pekanbaru is :    Y = 5.75 - 0.061 X1 + 0.008 X2 + 0.000 X3 + 0.005 X4. Abstract

Construction of water supply system has been implemented Dumai City since 2009. But until 2011 the construction should be done despite stalled cost as much as Rp 180 billion. The cost is only partially physical labor can build transmission and distribution networks in 4 districts. Therefore, the city government plans to continue the development dumai the project. In the government's development plan includes an investor to reduce sourced financing from the state budget. In this study, the system will analyze the cooperation undertaken by making 3 schemes. And each of these schemes will be analyzed in the economy that is based on net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR),  benefit cost ratio (BCR), and payback period (PBP). Economic analysis is performed on each scheme can be stated that the three schemes is feasible, for each of the parameters such as NPV is positive, BCR greater than 1.0 and internal rate of return and the value of the prevailing commercial interest, but the rates obtained are very expensive so the rates are not feasible. but the rates obtained are very expensive so the rates are not feasible. Abstract

Along with the development of technology-based Broadband Wireless Access (BWA), it is not just a connection is needed, but also the speed of the internet access and large capacity. One of the technology in BWA currently used is IEEE 802.16d WiMAX standard. IEEE 802.16d WiMAX standard using a frequency of 3.5 GHz. Indonesian satellite using the same frequency with the frequency of WiMAX. In order to avoid any interference between WiMAX and satellite it is necessary to filter on the WiMAX receiver. Therefore bandstop filter is used to reject the frequency of satellite based WiMAX standard has been set. In this thesis report discusses the design of bandstop filter circuit consisting of components - namely passive components, inductors and capacitors. Responses were used in this design is the Chebyshev response for Chebyshev response can result in a high degree of steepness of the passband to stopband. Abstract

Pekanbaru City is a city located in an area that has a large enough lightning density is equal to 136 days per year with thunder, lightning strikes the ground density (Ng) reached 19.5128 strike/km2/year. Computer Center Building University of Riau is the center of Riau University data, built with a size of 47 m x 21 m x 12.4 m. In the design of the external lightning protection on buildings, there are some technical requirements that need to be considered such as; identifying the needs of a lightning protection system based PUIPP, determining the level of protection lightning protection system based on IEC 1024-1-1, finial selection, determination down conductor and grounding system. From the analysis of hazard assessment, which is an interesting area of 10395.41 m² lightning strike, the possibility of building struck by lightning strikes per year with 0,203 lightning protection system efficiency 0.507. Based on data and analysis can then be described in the protected areas of the Computer Center building good front, side, rear and top. The results obtained showed that the Computer Center building has a poor level of efficiency is based on the analysis of the rolling sphere method. Keywords : external lightning protection system

Abstract

Power factor is one of the problems in the electric power quality improvement. Power factor value that is too low can result in some electrical equipment can not operate properly. In many ways, low power factor need not cost cheap. To assist in the use of power factor correction capacitor banks to provide reactive power in the system. To improve the power factor is low, then the study will be compensated automatically by using smart relay as a switch to the capacitor bank. Abstract

WiMAX technology has high data transfer speed, large access range and mobility capability. To access the WiMAX network required Customer Premise Equipment (CPE). CPE require a little dimension antenna and integrated it easily. Therefore, microstrip antenna is a good candidate for this application.  This paper, discuss design of 6 elements planar array rectangular microstrip patch antenna that can be used for CPE WiMAX application in 3.3 GHz (3.3-3.4 GHz). Microstrip antenna is designed using Aperture Coupled technique to improve the bandwidth. The design and simulation of microstrip antenna require Ansoft HFFS v.13. The simulation results show that antenna can operates in 3.3-3.4 GHz frequency. The value of the impedance bandwidth is 203.5 MHz (3.2405 to 3.444 GHz) or 6.09 % at VSWR ≤ 1.5 and gain is 7.4358 dBi. Abstract

Rokan river is one of the the four biggest river in Province of Riau which contains abundant of sand. The utilization of the sand has not reached an optimum level due to the limits of information for optimal profitability with it is not documented and therefore it is used only for building’s materials. However some literatures indicate that the sand is suitable for foundry use based on the physical characteristics. In this paper, a laboratory investigations of four critical foundry properties; clay content, Grain Finest Number (GFN), moisture content, and permeability of the sand is conducted. The outcome of this research to determine the potency of Rokan river’s sand as molding sand in Sand Casting. The result shows all the samples are potential as the molding sand through certain treatments. The most potential river sand is  downstream river’s sand with the following characteriscs: clay content 1.29%, GFN 27.25, moisture content 1.35% and gas permeability 10.9564 cm/min while the upstream river’s sand:  clay content 1.24%, GFN 17.94, moisture content 1.31% and gas permeability 12.6524 cm/min.  Keywords: Rokan River Sand, Characterization

Abstract

Experimental study on the installation of a vacuum tube in intake manifold has been done by observation at the effect of variations engine rotation and composition of bioethanol mixture with regard to fuel consumption and exhaust gas composition. This study used fuel E20, E30 and E40, the type of vacuum tube 4Y2 and Posh. Tests carried out on variations of the engine rotation 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500 and 5000 rpm. As result fuel consumption tends to increase as increasing engine rotation, it is more efficient with increasing ethanol in the fuel mixture and use a vacuum tube, the most efficient happened on fuel E40 with the installation of a vacuum tube type Posh in engine rotation 3000 rpm with consumption 0,21 L/hour. CO exhaust gas tends to decrease with increasing engine rotation, the ethanol in the fuel mixture with the installation of a vacuum tube, the lowest occurred on fuel E40 with installation a vacuum tube type Posh in engine rotation 5000 rpm with emission 0,06 %. CO2 tends to increase with increasing engine rotation, the ethanol in the fuel mixture and the installation of a vacuum tube, the highest on fuel E40 with a vacuum tube type Posh in engine rotation 5000 rpm with emission 13,60 %. HC tends to decrease with increasing engine rotation, the ethanol in the fuel mixture and the installation of a vacuum tube, the lowest occurred on fuel E40 with a vacuum tube type Posh in engine rotation 5000 rpm with emission 90 ppm.Keywords: Bioethanol, Exhaust Gas, Vacuum Tube

Abstract

Raw water needs to satisfy the water needs of the PDAM Tirta Dharma spines are fixed and continuous, while the availability of water from the water source to the season is not permanent. During the dry season river debit was small while the during the rainy season the flow rates are large and overflow. If the availability of water in the dry season is enough to satisfy needs of the raw water so raw water sampling can be done directly from surface runoff. But during the dry season when the flow rate is less than the requirement to satisfy needs of water storage reservoirs need to be made during the rainy season. Simulations were carried out based on equilibrium systems (water balance) in the Reservoir Petani showed that reservoir can serve the needs of clean water by taking water Duri City 100 liters / second, 150 liters / second, and 200 liters / second. Abstract

As a form of equitable development efforts, Pekanbaru city government plans to move the centre of Pekanbaru city office. In this study, there are 3 alternative locations of removal plans of central office of Pekanbaru city. Those locations are Jalan Palembang Kelurahan Kulim Kecamatan Tenayanraya, Jalan Badak Kelurahan Sail Kecamatan Tenayanraya, and Jalan Lingkar Luar KIT Kelurahan Okura Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir. This study identifies the criterion used in choosing the location of central office of Pekanbaru city, pursuant to physical criteria, accessibility criteria, infrastructures criteria, and environmental criteria. Therefore supporting system used in this analysis is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) of which result will be corrected by using Expert Choice programme.  The results of the AHP analysis obtained the significant criteria are: accessibility criteria (42,5%) and the next physical criteria (28,2%), infrastructures criteria (21,3%), and environmental criteria (8,0%). As for the most optimal alternative location for new government office center of Pekanbaru city are: Jalan Badak, Tenayanraya (43,5%), Jalan Palembang, Tenayanraya (42,0%), and Jalan Lingkar Luar KIT, Okura (14,5%). Subcriteria which mostly influencing the choice of location in Jalan Badak are: cost of transportation, duration to the location, and availability of electrical power networks.  Keywords: Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Expert Choice, Priority.
