Abstract

Power factor is one of the problems in the electric power quality improvement. Power factor value that is too low can result in some electrical equipment can not operate properly. In many ways, low power factor need not cost cheap. To assist in the use of power factor correction capacitor banks to provide reactive power in the system. To improve the power factor is low, then the study will be compensated automatically by using smart relay as a switch to the capacitor bank. Abstract

Multipulse rectifiers are recently used in ac-dc converter to minimize line current distortion due to harmonics. Analysis of the input and output ac-dc converter has been done with the tendency that the number of pulse rectifier most will have a value THD (total harmonic distortion) line current is the smallest and has the greatest power factor. In this study the authors will design and transformers 3-phase make with primary in delta connection and secondary in zigzag connection to produce 12 phases voltage wave, each phase of phase 150. The next phase will output 12 is connected as the input of a 24-pulse rectifier, which consists of 4 units of 3-phase rectifier bridge connection that are arranged in series. Calculation of results rectifier current THD, indicates THD 24-pulse rectifier is lower than the 6-pulse rectifier, THD 24-pulse rectifier currents of 1.41% while the 6-pulse rectifier amounted to 3.61%.Keywords : Multiphase Transformer, Multipulse rectfier, total harmonic distortion of current

Abstract

Electrical power cannot be distributed properly to consumers due to the power losses that occur caused by technical and non-technical problems. The unbalance loads of distribution power system  channel can happen caused by  permanent conductive resistance. Good conductor should not have resistance value, but in reality every object has electrical  resistance value. This conductive resistanve can cause the power losses besides it the condition of distribution network such as the length of the network often increased also it contribution to cause the power losses. The distribution network is more prone to disruption because the distribution of electricity to consumers is carried out continuously. Therefore it is necessary for the calculation of the power losses generated by the conductor. The calculation is carried out on a 20 kV distribution channel with a point to point calculation method. Total primary current has generated phase R is 4104,848 W, phase S is 3880,827 W and phase T is 3585,039 W. Total power losses that has generated feeder Bangau Sakti is 11570,71 W. Abstract

Transmission lines are tools used to channel electricity from power plants to distributor stations to electricity users. Electricity systems continue to develop, ranging from using one machine to many machines (multi-machines). One analysis that can be done on interconnection systems when the state is steady (tunak or steady state) is the study of power flow. The study of power flow will ensure that the new power system can meet electricity needs economically, efficiently and safely. In this study the method used is gauss seidel method with the help of MATLAB software. From the research conducted, the plant data obtained power of 328.5 MW. While the power that arises between the channels between Koto Panjang to Kota Pinang the active power is 4977,388 KW and the reactive power is J7685,092 KW. So the total power lost from the Koto Panjang transmission line to Kota Pinang amounted to 9156,147 KW or equal to 9.1 MW. So the percentage of lost power that occurs in the channel is 2.78%. Abstract

At this time the need for electrical energy continues to increase, power plants that use non-renewable natural resources are more dominantly used to meet the growing needs of electrical energy. Renewable energy is the solution to this problem. Biomass is a type of renewable energy sourced from living or dead biological materials that can be used as a fuel source in plants. Applications for the use of renewable energy sources in the form of biomass can be analyzed at PT Tri Bakti Sarimas. Where this company uses fiber and palm shell as fuel in boilers. By using fiber and palm shell as renewable fuel in boilers, so as to increase the efficiency value of the turbine. The study used the rankine cycle method to get efficiency values on turbines. From the results of thermal efficiency calculations used can be seen only 33.78% of the power provided into the boiler that can be converted into mechanical energy. At the efficiency value in steam power generation (PLTU) rank for pltu is 25%-50%. The efficiency of the turbine obtained is 33.78% while the efficiency of the generator is 62.5%. the required fibers as much as 7200 kg / hour and palm shells as much as 1800 kg / hour. The resulting turbine power is 2987.97 KW and the electricity generated is 983 KWh.Keyword : rankine cycle, turbine, fiber, palm shell

Abstract

The Aufia Global Islamic Boarding School (PP AGIBS) is in the village of Minas Jaya, Minas District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. The PP AGIBS curriculum emphasizes Islamic education, so it contains little in the way of science and technology competencies, such as Solar Power Plant Installation Engineering. (PLTS). In general, the village of Minas Jaya is around the former PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia, which used to be the largest oil mining company in Riau Province, and most of its residents worked at Chevron as unskilled laborers, such as cleaning staff and security personnel. The presence of PP AGIBS is very strategic considering its location around the community; however, PP AGIBS has a moral responsibility to contribute to the social issues faced by the community in the Minas Jaya village. Therefore, PP AGIBS needs to collaborate well with the University of Riau and the Minas Jaya village government to facilitate communication with the residents of Minas Jaya on issues outside the scope of Islamic studies, such as the high dropout rate among teenagers. One of the solutions implemented to address the issue of school dropouts is the initiation of the AGIBS Taruna Course and Training Institute (LKP) development. To realize the initial steps of this LKP development, several activities and role distributions were carried out. Among them, PP AGIBS contributes as the provider of infrastructure, including location, office space, office supplies, and other related facilities, while the service implementation team from Riau University provides human resources as instructors and supplies training equipment for PLTS installation techniques. With the synergy between Riau University and PP AGIBS, it is hoped that school dropouts can gain competence in the field of PLTS installation techniques.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan sistem informasi yang cepat dan akurat dalam pengelolaan kamar kost semakin meningkat seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi dan digitalisasi. Pengelolaan manual seringkali menyebabkan keterlambatan informasi, ketidakakuratan data, dan kesulitan bagi calon penyewa dalam mencari kamar kost yang sesuai. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sebuah sistem informasi berbasis website yang mampu menyediakan informasi secara real-time serta mempermudah pengelolaan kost. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan merancang sistem informasi aplikasi kost berbasis website yang efisien dan user-friendly. Dalam penelitian ini, metode UAT digunakan untuk pengembangan sistem, yang mencakup tahap analisis kebutuhan, desain, implementasi, dan pengujian. Untuk mengukur tingkat keberterimaan pengguna, digunakan metode pengujian User Acceptance Test (UAT), yang melibatkan pengguna langsung untuk menilai kemudahan penggunaan dan fungsionalitas sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi kost berbasis website ini dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dalam pencarian dan pengelolaan kamar kost. Pengujian UAT juga menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas pengguna merasa puas dengan antarmuka dan fungsi sistem, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem ini diterima dengan baik oleh pengguna.

Abstract

Khairul Ummah 2 Islamic Boarding School in Pekanbaru Indonesia faced challenges in maintaining its school server operations due to an unstable electricity supply from the state-owned electricity company (PLN). These power fluctuations resulted in hardware damage and disruptions to the academic management system. A hybrid standalone energy system combining solar panels and PLN electricity was designed and implemented to address this issue. The objective was to provide a stable and sustainable energy source to support the school server, which manages academic and administrative data on a cloud computing platform. The methodology involved feasibility studies, system design, equipment procurement, technical installation, and system performance monitoring and evaluation. The implementation results demonstrated that the solar panel system successfully reduced reliance on PLN, increased energy efficiency, and ensured server operation continuity. Evaluations also indicated that the system reduced server downtime by up to 80% and provided several hours of stable electricity during power outages. Implementing the solar-PLN hybrid standalone energy system at Khairul Ummah 2 Boarding School successfully enhanced the stability of the academic management system and reduced electricity-related operational costs. This system is expected to serve as a model for similar technology applications in other educational institutions.

Abstract

Pencahayaan ruangan yang dijadikan objek penelitian adalah pencahayaan pada perumahan PT Pertamina (Persero) RU II ProductionDumai. Perumahan ini sebagian besar merupakan ruangan yang digunakan untuk keluarga. Penentuan pencahayaan ruangan pada ruangan-ruangan tersebut saat ini masih dilakukan secara objektif, belum terdapat perhitungan yang jelas dalam penentuan tingkat pecahayaannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat optimalisasi sistem pencahayaan ruangan kondisi eksisting dan melakukan upaya perbaikan untuk menuju sistem pencahayaan ruangan kondisi ideal. Upaya untuk menuju kondisi ideal tersebut adalah dengan melakukan pengukuran, perhitungan dan analisa terhadap tingkat pencahayaan, daya lampu total, biaya investasi dan biaya pemakaian listrik dengan menggunakan metoda logika fuzzy. Untuk validasi data digunakan software Matlab. Pada kondisi eksisting seluruh ruangan masih terbilang kurang baik, dengan nilai lux < 50 lux dan optimasi 60%, sehingga berdampak baik karena telah mencapai tingkat pencahayaan minimum masing-masing ruangan berdasarkan fungsi ruangan yang telah direkomendasikan sesuai dengan SNI 03-6575-2011 yaitu ruang tamu dengan lux 200 atau ruang kamar tidur 150 lux.

Abstract

PT. Digital Media Grafindo adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang supplier bahan baku printing seperti printer, kertas printing, tinta, dll. Saat ini PT. Digital Media Grafindo masih menggunakan cara tradisional dalam melakukan key performance indicator tahunan kepada karyawannya. Dengan menggunakan kertas hvs dan excel sebagai perhitungannya. Sering kali data key performance indicator hilang saat dibutuhkan dikarenakan data key performance indicator tidak disimpan pada system yang terkomputerisasi. PT. Digital Media Grafindo belum memiliki system untuk melakukan key performance indicator secara online serta agar data key performance indicator dapat tersimpan dan diolah untuk kepentingan perusahaan. Maka dari itu di butuhkannya suatu sistem yang dapat membantu PT. Digital Media Grafindo dalam menyelesaikan permasalahannya. Sistem yang akan di buat akan diuji dengan metode System Usability Scale (SUS). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dengan adanya sistem KPI berbasis web dapat membantu PT. Digital Media Grafindo dalam mengatasi permasalahan data Key Performance Indicator yang tidak terkomputerisasi dan memudahkan PT. Digital Media Grafindo dalam melakukan evaluasi untuk meningkatkan kinerja pegawai yang lebih baik dimasa depan dan skor rata-rata system usability scale adalah 92,75 yang dapat di simpulkan bahwa system KPI berbasis web yang di uji mendapatkan di atas rata-rata.
