Abstract

Bioplastic is one of alternative to relpace comercial plastic that can be harmful to environment. Bioplastic is made to make degradation become easier. One of potential raw material is sago because it has a highest starch component. The aims of this research are the study of impact clay as filler and glycerol as plasticizer to mechanical properties (tensile strenght, elongation, modulus young), hidrophobicity (water uptake), biodegradation and morphology. The synthesis method is solution intercalation of starch, water, filler and plasticizer with variation of filler are 3 (%w/w), 6 (%w/w), 9 (%w/w), 12 (%w/w) and glycerol are 10 (%w/w), 14 (%w/w), 18 (%w/w), 22 (%w/w). The analysis show that filler clay and glycerol give an impact to mechanical properties of bioplastic. the best mechanical properties is on bioplastic with composition 3 % filler and 14 % glycerol with tensile strenght 2.891 Mpa, % elongation 30.99 %, modulus young 9.39 Mpa. The highest hidrophobicity of bioplastic is 85.71% and residual persentation is between 67.39 % to 81.25 % in 8 day. Micrograf analysis shows that filler distribution is not be spread evenly on sago starch matrices.Keywords : bioplastic, clay, filler, glycerol, plasticizer, sago strach

Abstract

Eggshells modificated of solid base catalyst through calcination, hydration, dehydration methods with fly ash through impregnation method to load calcium oxide with eggshells as precursor. Effect of dehydration temperature and time on the catalytic performance were studied. The catalyst with the highest activity is obtained when the dehydration temperature of 600 °C and the dehydration time of 3 hours with transesterification reaction conditions of a molar ratio of methanol/oil 6:1, catalyst dosage of 6% by weight, temperature of 70 °C for 2 hours with yield biodiesel results reached 84,32%.Keywords: biodiesel, calcination, calcium oxide, catalysts, dehydration, fly ash, hydration, impregnation, transesterification.

Abstract

Various types of technology facilities currently continue to develop in various ways, network security needs to be considered as the technology facilities develop. Tethering is a technology facility that is widely used today, such as in office areas, homes, boarding houses and campuses. In analyzing network security when using tethering as a media connection to the internet, testing and analysis are carried out when the test results are obtained. The testing techniques used are sniffing and scanning using inSSIDer home software, kismet, and aircrack-ng and airodump-ng tools. The results obtained from this test are that the inSSIDer and kismet software get open or encrypted security, then aircrak and airodump-ng can find the password used by Access Point (AP) tethering. From the tests carried out it can be concluded that the security of WLAN networks when using tethering is still categorized as not safe.Keyword: Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), tethering, aircrack-ng, airodump-ng, inSSIDer, kismet.

Abstract

The development of information technology has ampact on changes in human life. One of them is Cloud Computing technology. Cloud Computing is computing model that it giveaway saat to access services by offering resources suci as hardware, software, and data storage as user guidance services. SMPN 1 Karimun is one of the Junior High Schools in Karimun Regency, still uses conventional storage namely computer storage or tiger storages. So, the ampun of data cause a lack of effeciency and effectiveness in accessing data. As a technology like cloud computing. Cloud computing has function as a server for digital-based storage, renew using cloud computing can storage performance in SMPN 1 Karimun to knot it any attack of DoS ( Denial of Service ). The research methodology is to design a cloud computing system by testings function in the application with the quality of existing network. The average value of throughput without DoS attack is 21,21 Mbit/s, the average throughtput value two PCs using DoS attack is 18,76 Mbit/s while four PCs is 17,21 Mbit/s. Avarage result of packet loss without DoS attack is 0,046 %, the average of packet loss value using two PCs DoS attack is 0,082 % while using four PCs is 0,104 %. Average result of delay value without DoS attack is 0,000354 ms, the average delay value using two PCs is 0,000475 ms while using while four PCs is 0,000517 ms. Abstract

The antenna has a big role either in high or low frequency of wireless communication. In transmission process, antenna also become a determinant factor of successful communication between transmitter and receiver. In this project, we will design an omnidirectional antenna that will be connected with electrical unit measurement device. To make analyzing process easier, ansoft hfss 13.0 software will beused. The simulation results show that the antenna canwork well at frequency of 2,4 until 2,5 GHz, return loss -30,4670, gain 5,08 and VSWR 1,0618.Keyword: microstrip antenna, Wi – Fi , return loss, VSWR

Abstract

Biodiesel is an alternative energy to replace fossil fuels. It can be made by transesterification process of vegetable oils. During the process of making biodiesel usually was used NaOH or KOH as homogeneous catalyst which has the disadvantage the formation of side products such as soaps and complexity of the separation of catalyst. Therefore, in this study Na2SiO3/Fe3O4 catalyst is used. The independent variables of this research are mol ratio of CIO and methanol 1:6, 1:8, 1:10 and loading catalyst Na2SiO3/Fe3O4 1%, 2%, 3%. Density (40°C) of biodiesel is 876,18 kg/m3, kinematic viscosity (40°C) is 4,63 cSt, flash point is 107°C, and acid value is 0,49 mg-KOH/g-biodiesel.Keywords: Biodiesel, Catalyst, CIO, Transesterification

Abstract

Paper disc velocimeter is used to measure the movement of water flow such as the speed and direction of groundwater flow. This equipment has an important component in determining theresults of the speed and direction of groundwater flow namely paper, ink and foam. Indonesia has various types of paper and ink. Spread of ink on paper is divided into two, namely the spread of convection and diffusion. The availability of a variety of local paper in Pekanbaru, itis necessary to study to obtain the characteristics of the spread of ink on local paper using paper disc velocimeter. The purpose of this study is to test the characteristics of ink spread on local paper variations using velocimater paper discs. The benefits of this research are areference to the characteristics of the paper and ink used in the test equipment. The results obtained in this study are Cu values obtained included in the classification of coarse sand,while K obtained 0.018 included in the classification of coarse sand. The maximum ink distribution on paper is 0.3344 cm with a velocity of 0.00007 cm / min. While the minimum inkspread of 0.3343 cm with a speed of 0 cm / min.Keywords: Paper disc velocimeter, local paper, hidrolic conductivity.

Abstract

Biodiesel is an alternative energy to replace fossil fuels. It can be made by transesterification process of vegetable oils. Process of making biodiesel commonly use NaOH or KOH as homogeneous catalyst which has the disadvantage the formation of by products such as soaps and the complexity of the separation of catalyst. Therefore, in this study biodiesel was synthesized from calophyllum inophyllum oil by using geopolymer catalyst. Geopolymer was synthesized by mixing sodium silicate, metakaolin, NaOH, and water. Several variations of the process variables were done to assess its influence on yield of biodiesel. The variables were used consist of a dependent variables and independent variables. The dependent variables were calophyllum inophyllum oil weight of 50 grams, 3%-wt of catalyst concentration, reaction time of 120 minutes, and stirring speed of 400 rpm, while the independent variables which variation molar ratio of oil:methanol 1:3, 1:6, 1:9, 1:12 and variations of temperature 55, 60, 65 oC. Physical characterization were done including density 873 kg/m3, kinematic viscosity 4.46 mm2/s, acid number 0.49 mg-KOH/g biodiesel and flash point 140°C respectively accordance with the standards of Indonesian biodiesel (SNI 7182:2015).Keywords: biodiesel, catalyst, calophyllum inophyllum oil, geopolymer, yield

Abstract

Library redesign and archive of Indragiri Hilir has vision to make the offices and the archives professionally, foremost in information service and concern about learning scoiety in Indragiri Hilir. It migh not happen without facilites which support for this situation, because nowadays is really apprehensive. It became a reason why redesign is needed, to build appropriate building and to get vision of library and archive of Indragiri Hilir. In redesign planning of library and archive of Indragiri Hilir, applying of panning approach was tropical architecture principle. Some of principles that used in this planning were orientation project, sun screen, cross ventilation and vegetation. In addition, this planning took attractive characteristics concept psychologically. From this concept, the writer develop the application of architectural character for the building. Abstract

Hydroxyapatite is a natural mineral form of calcium apatite and is a major inorganic component of human hard tissue, such as bones and teeth. Synthetic hydroxyapatite, is widely used as implant and filler material for bone and tooth decay, catalyst, carrier catalyst and adsorbent. Synthetic hydroxyapatite has a large and porous surface area, which makes it very advantageous to be used as an adsorbent. Hydroxyapatite has been widely used as an adsorbent for alkali metals and heavy metals. In this study synthetic hydroxyapatite is used as an adsorbent for cholesterol compounds in the solvent of hexane-ethyl acetate mixture. The study was carried out with variations of hydroxyapatite mass (0.5, 0.75, and 1.0 gram) and cholesterol concentrations (50, 75 and 100 ppm) at a stirring rate of 100 rpm at room temperature. Adsorbed cholesterol was then analyzed using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. From UV-Vis spectrophotometer analysis,it was found that be known the efficiency of adsorption process reaches 48.9% and the adsorption capacity is up to 6.87 mg / gram.Keywords: adsorbent, cholesterol, hydroxyapatite
