Abstract

The success of oil palm cultivation is deeply depend by quality of the seedlings, and for this reason the implementation of nurseries needs a special attention. The problem that occurs regularly is that the amount of seeds sent from the nursery area is not equal to the amount of seeds contained in the farm. The number of seeds that are not allocated causes misfortunes in the organization. Seedlings are also defenseless and can be replaced by different seeds on their way. An application is required and you can work with a lot of data. This application is expected to have the option to record status of the palm oil seedling area productively. Ionic is a system that can create hybrid mobile applications. This versatile application is built with commonly used programming language for the web (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript). This application will be used in places with network problems. Documenting changes in seed information status provides types of seed information assistance to the Board. Abstract

The growing palm oil industry in Indonesia is causing an increase in Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) generated. The organic material contained in POME can be a nutrient source for microalgae growth. The growth of the microalgae consortium will increase after the replacement as an addition of nutrients to the culture medium. The aim of this research to determine the growth rate microalgae consortium in POME as a culture medium. The research was conducted in semicontinuous system by replacing half volume of culture with fresh POME in period every 3 days, 4 days, and 6 days for 12 days of cultivation. The result showed the best cultivation conditions was every 6 days replacement period which spesific growth rate 0,212/day on the 12th day. Abstract

Tofu liquid waste contains organic compounds which are generally high. One of the treatments to reduce pollutant level in tofu liquid waste is coagulation and flocculation. The aim of this study was to study the effect of variations dosage of Aloe vera and the speed of stirring on the removal of tofu liquid waste by coagulation and flocculation using the Aloe vera as biocoagulant. This research was carried out with variations dosage of Aloe vera of 80; 120 dan 160 ml/l and the stirring speed variations of 30; 60 dan 90 rpm. The results showed the highest removal efficiency of COD, BOD and TSS at a dose of coagulant 160 ml/ l with a stirring speed of 60 rpm each of 61,90%, 49,97% and 89,73% Keywords: Tofu Liquid Waste, Dosage, Stirring Speed, Coagulation-Flocculation, Aloe Vera.

Abstract

Based on SNI 1729 2015, there are two concepts in steel structure analysis and design, namely the concept of Load and Resilience Factor Design (LRFD) and Allowable Strength Design (ASD). The design of steel structures has to take into account the safety against earthquake loads according to the 2017 earthquake hazard map which is an update to the previous earthquake map published in 2010. This study aims to obtain the most effective type of steel structure connection in resisting earthquake loads by comparing 3 types of flexural connections between beam and column. The type of connection examined with study were bolted flange plate moment connection and end plate moment connections using stiffeners with four bolts and eight bolts. In this research a 10 floors building with steel structure is modelled. The dimensions of the building are 20 m x 15 m and the height of each story is 3.5 m except for the first story which is 4.5 m. The structure is analyzed by using SAP2000 version 21 software with LRFD and ASD methods. The building is located in the city of Pekanbaru with soft soil conditions. Based on the design result, it was found that the most suitable type of moment connection on the model is end plate moment connection using a stiffener with eight bolts, with a bearing capacity of the end plate of 4403.59 kN. From the structural analysis using the Direct Analysis Method (DAM) it is found that the internal forces in the structure are smaller when using a new earthquake hazard map. Finally, the connection design for this model by using ASD method is about 40% less efficient than by using the LRFD method.Keywords : LRFD, ASD, moment connections, earthquake hazard map 2017

Abstract

Delima intersection is a 2/2 four arms UnDivided crossing. The environment around this intersection is a commercial area. There are several activities at the intersection approach, such as vehicles in and out of the shopping area intersections theat cause congestion. The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of Delima intersections and to find out the level of road service. The method used in this study was Indonesian Higway Capacity Manual 1997 which includes analysis of intersection capacity, queue length, signalised phase and delay. Data were obtained by conducting a survey of traffic flow conditions, cycle time and geometric intersection. From the results, the analysis of signalised performance on the existing condition of the highest delay is the North approach with an average delay value of 310.95 sec/smp and the level of service is included in category D. This is necessary to do alternative intersection settings. From the three alternatives considered, the alternative three is the best alternative with the delay value generated in the afternoon peak hours is 6.03 sec/smp. Abstract

In this study, nano-Fe0@CS were synthesized by hydrothermal method. Studied Methylene Blue (MB) degradation process and find the best composition of the degradation process. Catalytic performance of nano-Fe0@CS was tested in Phenton process for MB degradation in aqueous solution with H2O2 3%, and MB concentration variant. The best process conditions was observed by 99.99% removal of 30 ppm MB within 90 min with added 0.3 g/l nano-Fe0@CS and 2 ml H2O2 3% in 250 ml solution.Keywords: Degradation, Methylene Blue, nano-Fe0@CS, Phenton Process

Abstract

In construction work certain conditions where forced by a concrete structure must be moulded directly in water into consideration for casting on location. The condition of casting work in water does not only occur in environments where there is normal water but also in environments that have sludge levels. The use of Tripolyphosphate Sodium is expected to be able to become a mixture in casting concrete in water without conventional compaction so that the concrete mixture is able to flow and solid itself properly. This study examines the effect of Sodium Tripolyphosphate as a constituent in concrete mixes on the mechanical properties of concrete including compressive strength and tensile strength in casting in water, especially in muddy water environments. The study was conducted experimentally with a cement water factor value of 0.37, a percentage of Sodium Tripolyphosphate 10% by weight of cement and a percentage of rock ash 15% by weight of fine aggregate. Concrete compressive strength test was carried out on 6 cylinders 28 days old with a diameter of 10 cm x height 20 cm and for tensile tensile strength testing was also carried out on 6 cylinders 28 days old with a diameter of 15cm x height 30 cm. Based on the results of the compressive strength test of concrete at 28 days, the average compressive strength of concrete for direct castings in normal water is 12,14 MPa, while for the average compressive strength for concrete casted directly in muddy water is 9,49 MPa. So that the compressive strength of concrete, which is cast directly in muddy water has decreased compressive strength by 21.82% of concrete in normal water. For the results of the average split tensile strength of 28 days old concrete, obtained in concrete that is cast directly in ordinary water conditions is 1.37 MPa, while for the average split tensile strength in concrete by direct casting in water conditions muddy at 1.11 MPa. Abstract

Riau University hospital is an educational infrastructure institution and health institution in collaboration with Riau University. Most of the patients treated at Riau University hospital are people from the riau university community such as campus staff, lecturers and students. Outside communities that are not from the community of UNRI campus have a small percentage to treat in hospitals Riau University. Another problem, for patients who are located far from the hospital of Riau University will have difficulty because patients who want to seek treatment at the University of Riau hospital and conduct consultations with the desired doctor can not know the schedule of the doctor on duty, so the patient must go to the hospital first to find out the schedule of the doctor's duties on the day. Therefore, a consultation application is needed that can help solve the problems described. This research uses waterfall method to help the process of making consulting application. The data collection is obtained by interview method and observation directly to the field. The consulting application was created using Android Studio with the Java programming language and eXtensible Markup Language (XML), as well as Firebase as a database. Application testing uses the User Acceptance Test (UAT) method to see the results of application creation based on user ratings. Based on the results and tests carried out, obtained an android-based UNRI hospital consultation application. This consultation application can be used by patients to view schedules and consult online with doctors working in UNRI hospitals. This application is expected to help prospective patients can seek treatment and consult a doctor easily. Keyword : Java, XML, Android

Bicycle community facilities is a place for bicycle community located in city of Pekanbaru. The growth of the bicycle community in Pekanbaru is a form of passion arising from the user of the bicycle itself, such as the desire to strengthen friendship between bicycle enthusiasts, socialize, cultivate confidence Different in the environment and channeling the talent, cultivating a healthy lifestyle, and also to participate in events held by the Department of Pekanbaru. With so many communities and events for bicycle users, there is an idea to host bicycle users. The facilities are hosted by communal outdoor and Indoor areas, outdoor stage, BMX outdoor area, garden, bicycle retail, bicycle workshop, Mini Gallery, Minimarket, café and other functions related to bicycle users. The Study method used is an expressionist architecture approach, which is to apply the principles and design ideas. The concept applied is a transformation concept of bicycle movement called "Backlash" which is a manufer movement in cycling. Abstract

Palm frond has been utilized only for raw source of animal feed, compost and organic fertilizer in plantation area. Oil palm fronds has calorific value of 15,184.05 kJ/kg with a density of 0.1383 g/cm3. Calorific value can be enhanced by densification. By biomass densification aims to increase density and decrease handling issue such as storage and transportation. The aims of this research is to produce solid fuel from palm fronds by densification process, to determine the characteristics of the product and to know the effect of gliserol as filler composition and pressing pressure in the processing by densification and also to know density, calorific value and proximate of product. The composition of gliserol filler used were 15%, 25% and 35%. Pressing pressure used were 50, 75 and 100 bar. The particle size used were < 850 μm. The highest density of the product is 1.07475 gr/cm3 was obtained at gliserol filler composition 35% and pressure 100 bar. The highest calorific value of the product is 16,928.12 kJ/kg was obtained at gliserol filler composition 35% filler and pressure 100 bar. The most affecting factor to caloric value and density are pressing pressure and filler composition.Keywords: calorific value, densification, density, filler, pressing pressure, palm fronds.
