Abstract

The aim of this study was to calculate the index value the reliability of the system based on a network of 20 kV electrical power distribution at the feeder PT PLN (Persero) Rayon Panam, and compared with the value that has been targeted by PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Panam in 2015. The study also aimed to determine the level of reliability of the system at each Feeder PT PLN (Persero) Rayon Panam. This research is descriptive, the object of this study is the Electricity Distribution Network at 20 kV feeder PT PLN (Persero) Rayon Panam. Data analysis technique using the equation according to a formula-based system reliability indices are SAIFI, SAIDI, CAIFI, CAIDI, ASAI and Asui. The results of this study indicate that the reliability index value based on Rayon Panam system is in the category unreliable. SAIFI reliability index value highest in Kualu feeder with a value of 13.33 disturbance / year and SAIFI reliability index was lowest for the feeder of Riau with a value of 3.5 disorder / year. Then on SAIDI reliability indices highest in Kualu feeder with a value of 12.63 hours / year and the lowest in Radish feeder and feeder Wildlife Works with a value of 5.86 hours / year. Abstract

The development of the internet today has given us so many benefits for the user as well as for industries that use it as a communication medium that is cheap, effective, and efficient. With the development of Internet and various technologies that go with it then it is also directly proportional to the need for the use of the internet is more reliable and reasonable. In the use ofthe internet there are several technologies that can be used, one of which is Frame Relay. Frame Relay network is a network share (shared services) by utilizing the Permanent Virtual Circuit(PVC) so as to ensure minimum access level CIR (Committed Information Rate) specific. Frame Relay is designed to reduce the processing on each node by reducing the format and proceduresused. In this research, frame relay network modeling and analysis of network performance using software GNS3, frame relay network performance will be determined by the parameters of delay,throughput and packet loss. With this study will be obtained performance of some frame relay network model that can be used as a reference in designing the new network.Keywords: network, frame relay, gns3

Abstract

Microstrip antenna as a communcation device has small dimension with good receiving signal ability, this microstrip antenna is a technology that can be used on a wireless network application with high rate data speeds. Microstrip antenna is very suitable for wireless body area network (WBAN) applications. This microstrip antennas are small, designed in such a way that can be used daily without causing bad image effects for user apperance. WBAN device can be implemented in various fields such as industry, science and medical (ISM). The result of the antenna design is carried out by simulation process using applications. The target results from the antenna are: frequency 2.4 GHz, return loss ≤ -10 dB, dan VSWR ≤ 1.9.Keyword: microstrip antenna, wireless body area network, return loss, VSWR

Abstract

Helical Pile A manufactured steel foundation consisting of one or more helix-shaped bearing plates affixed to a central shaft that is rotated into the ground to support structures. At thisresearch will be presented result of static loading test constan rate penetration method (CRP) helical pile conducted at peat. Result of data from loading test in the form of load and degradation interpretation with tangen of intersection method. addition sum up the same plate helical diameterwill improve the capacities support helical pile. But if plate helical most under smaller hence addition sum up the plate helical do not have an effect on the signifikan to Qultimate the helicalpile though plate helical for bigger. Result of the encumbering attempt compared to by result of energy calculation support the helical pile use the method of Induvidual plate bearing and cylindershear. From comparison result known that by Qultimate the method of cylinder shear more coming near result of burden test with the standard error 2,37 while ,Qultimate the individual method of plate bearing come near result of burden test with the standard error 4,38.Key words : helical pile, peat, individual plate bearing, cylinder shear

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to helping students of University of Riau adding major that they wanted during KRS schedule. This system was build and develop using MySQL database. The system has web-based for a website and sms-based for adding major students which message sent to sms gateway server, and will be process using trigger and distribute to tables that has been created. Next step, the system get the information from student’s message that will be process and will get reply message (autoreply) for noticing students their message have sent and processedThe result of this research is to give students the alternative way to adding major during KRS schedule, and that is using sms gateway technology while student can’t get access to the internet and can’t KRS done on schedule. Abstract

Instrument pemantau kualitas udara ruangan dibangun dengan menggunakan sensor MQ7 sebagai pengukur besaran karbon monoksida(CO), sensor GP2Y1010AUOF sebagai pengukur besaran Dust atau particulate matter (PM10)dan sensor MQ131 sebagai pengukur besaran gas O3. Arduino Mega2560 berperan sebagai Master Control Unit(MCU) yang mengelola data sinayal Analog hasil pembacaan sensor menjadi data digital yaitu kualitas udara sesuai standar yang digunakan, dan MCU juga akan menampilkan data kualitas udara ruangan pada layar LCD nokia 5110 84x48.Tampilan data berupa grafik dan numerik ditunjukkan pada display komputer(Laptop) dengan menggunakan software LabVIEW. Untuk memudahkan pengguna data hasil pengukuran indeks kualitas udara ruangan disajikan dengan menggunakan standar indeks kualitas udara yang telah ditentukan pemerintah yaitu Indeks Standar Pencemaran Udara(ISPU).Keywoards : ISPU(Indeks Standar Pence,aran Udara), MCU, LabVIEW, Sensor.

Abstract

This study present about geopolymer mortar with rice husk ash (RHA) as binder. Both material are used their silica element were activated by alkaline solution. Alkaline solution was prepared by combining sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide of 18 M. Compressive strength of geopolymer mortar that was studied based variation of modulus activator, dosage activator, curing time, and curing temperature. Research showed that optimum mix proportion of geopolymer mortar with Rice Husk Ash (RHA) which result the optimum compressive strength. The ratio of sodium silicate solution to sodium hydroxide solution by mass was 2.5:1. The mass ratio of alkaline solution to blended ashes was 9:10. Test specimens 5×5×5 cm cube were prepared and cured at room temperature (28ºC) for 3 days and heat-cured at 70ºC for 24 hours. The speciemens were cured at room temperature for 7 days until testing date. Result from this research represents compressive strength the mortar as according to variation molar of sodium hydroxide and used a little addition of water.Keywords: Rice Husk Ash, Geopolymer, Alkali Activator, dosage activator.

Abstract

In this study, two types of waste seashells, including blood clam and lokan used as cement replacement material. The parameters studied include compressive strength, workability, and unit weight. These properties were compared with those of a control concrete that was made of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). Based on the mixes using the ground seashell with proportion 2, 4, 6, and 8% by weight of cement, the optimum compressive strength was achieved for the mix that replaced cement by 4%. Incorporation of lokan seashell resulted higher unit weight than other concrete. The result indicate that waste seashells can be applied as cement replacement and may improve the workability of concrete.Keywords: seashells, cement replacement, compressive strength, unit weight, workability

Abstract

This study examines the compressive strength and sorptivity of the concrete using powdered shells as a partial replacement of cement. Powder derived from the shells of shell types Anadara granosa who experience burning in the furnace brick and filtered using a sieve # 200. Variations shells used is 4% due to a variation of the optimum. After the trial manufacture of test specimens was performed to compare the nature of the powder concrete with normal concrete shells, then soaking for 7, 28 and 91 days. The results showed the strength of concrete shells powder is lower than normal concrete, concrete Sorptivity powdered seashells higher than normal concrete. From the results show the physical properties of concrete dust shells higher than normal concrete. This happens because the powder concrete shells have more pores and has a lower workability.Keywords: powder shells, Anadara granosa, compressive strength, sorptivity

Abstract

Glycerol by-product of biodiesel through transesterification reaction is currently not fully utilized as raw materials or as chemical products. Crude glycerol can be purified to be processed into more useful products. Through conversion into triacetin with the esterification process using acetic acid and solid catalyst in the form of natural zeolite. Triacetin can be used for food and non-food. The objective of this study was to study the effect of catalyst loading natural zeolite and temperature on glycerol conversion on triacetin production process. The experiments were carried in batch process with time of reaction 4 hours were optimum for glycerol conversion, the molar ratio of glycerol to acetic acid 1 : 7 and size of catalyst -100 mesh and +150 mesh with variation of reaction temperature (90, 100, and 110 oC) and catalyst concentration (1%, 3%, and 5%-w). The results of the qualitative analysis by means of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy confirmed there is triacetin as product. Increasing of temperature reaction increased of glycerol conversion. But increasing of catalyst loading not increased of glycerol conversion. The glycerol conversion was 96,49%, where obtained using the reaction condition: temperature 110 oC and catalyst of natural zeolite was 3% (w/w) acetic acid based.
