Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the role of social workers in the development of adolescents (children dealing with the law of the category of children as perpetrators of crime) in social institutions of youth development (Psbr) Rumbai Pekanbaru. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive approach. The subjects of the study were young social worker, first pekso candidate and psychological child protection center. Data collection through observation techniques, interviews and documentation. The number of child offenders from January to May 22, 2018 amounted to 20 children with different cases. The interview guide contains 54 questions about the role of social workers in child coaching, with a subfocus of facilitators, brokers, mediators, defenders and patron with each sub-indicator 3-4. The results show that the role of social workers in the development of adolescents in youth social institutions (Psbr) Rumbai Pekanbaru includes: the role of social workers in the guidance of child offenders shows that the role of social workers play an active role in guidance as facilitators, intermediaries, mediators, defenders and patrons. As well as friends and parents both, coaching can also help solve a teenage case and may affect a child's behavior. In the guidance of children obtaining education in the form of vukational training, spiritual guidance, physical guidance, social and psychosocial useful when children out of the house between (LPKS). Closing children will make it difficult for social workers to solve child cases. The security and confidentiality of adolescent identity is a form of protection services provided. Abstract

Abstract: Data daily test results of students of class VII SMPIT Future Islamic School Pekanbaru provide information that the percentage of learners who reach the criteria masses of minimum is still low. This Study aims to improve the learning process and the student’s outcomes of mathematic learning by applying problem based learning model. This classroom action research with two cycles was conducted in class VII SMPIT Future Islamic School Pekanbaru in the second semester of academic year 2017/2018 to 20 students. The required data are qualitative and quantitative data. The research instruments used are mathematical learning instruments (syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets) and instruments for collecting data (cbservation sheets and outcomes of mathematic learning tests). Qualitative data were collected by observation technique and analyzed by descriptive narrative analysis. Quantitative data were collected by test technique and analyzed by descriptive statistics analysis. Based on the analysis of the observation sheets showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Weakness on cycle I is improved on implementation cycle I. The percentage of learners who achieved the minimum mastery criteria is increase. Frequency of learners who achieve the minimum completeness criteria increasingly. The average mathematics learning outcomes of the students showed an increase. This study concludes is implementation of problem based learning improved the learning process and the student’s outcomes of mathematic learning at class VII SMPIT Future Islamic School Pekanbaru in the second semester of academic year 2017/2018.Key Words: problem based learning, outcomes of mathematic learning, learning process

Abstract

Abstract : This research was aimed to find out the ability level of the first year students of SMP IT Aziziyyah Pekanbaru in writing descriptive texts. The data were collected in February. The population of this research is the first year students of SMP IT Aziziyyah Pekanbaru. The number of sample 31 students who are chosen by using cluster random sampling technique. This research is a descriptive research where the researcher explained the result of research by describing the data gained .The data are collected using a writing test in form of a picture, that was a picture animal. The result of the data analysis showed that the mean score of the students’ ability in writing descriptive text is 61.29. It can be that the ability of the first year students of SMP IT Aziziyyah Pekanbaru in writing descriptive texts is poor. Based on the result of the students’ ability in each writing aspect, the lowest score in grammar aspect and the highest score in vocabulary aspectKeywords: Analysis, Writing Ability, Descriptive Text.

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to examine the effect of firm size and capital structure on firm value. The population in this study are all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange which have data (company size, capital structure, and company value) 5 years in a row (2009 to 2013). The data obtained from Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) of each company. Data analysis techniques used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that firm size and capital structure simultaneously affect the value of the company. While partially, firm size have negative effect to firm value and capital structure have positive effect to firm value.Keywords: Size, Capital Structure, Firm Value

Abstract

Abstract: This study is based on the low motivation of student learning, has a low courtesy still often ignores the students reprimands and advice from teachers, such as when going to praying Dhuhur together in school, students like to interfere with friends when performing ablutions, when reprimanded by teachers many still do not care. Students are still cool to play and interfere with friends when performing ablution. This research type is descriptive research. Subjects in this study are 24 students of the spirit members who perform tahajud prayers more than three times a week. Data processing that has been done by researchers can be concluded that the emotional intelligence of students who perform tahajud prayers more than three times a week are in high category. Emotional intelligence of students who perform tahajud prayers based on the highest indicators include: empathy, self-awareness, and self-motivation.Key Word: Emotional Intelligent, Tahajud Pray

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to provide a literacy-based biological enrichment book of science for high school students. The research consists of the stages of analysis, design, and development. This enrichment books developed based on analysis of the PISA 2006 year reserved grain and 2015 as well as linkages with basic competency curriculum 2013. The stage of the analysis, design, development, validation and internal tests I carried out in the laboratory of Biology education FKIP University of Riau. External validation and testing II implemented in SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. Enrichment books validated on three aspect include format, the appropriateness of the content and science literacy, as well as language. Enrichment books produced in this research is at a very valid category and very good so worth is used as a source of independent study ability of students in developing science literacy.Keywords : Enrichment books, science literacy, high school students

Abstract

Abstract : The problem formulation in this research is how well beneficiary resilience follow skill learning at Teenage Social Institution (PSBR) Rumbai Pekanbaru? How big is the contribution of beneficiary resilience following skill learning at Teenage Social Institution (PSBR) Rumbai Pekanbaru? The benefit of this research is to know the level of beneficiary resilience following skill learning at Teenage Social Institution (PSBR) Rumbai, Pekanbaru. This research is descriptive research with quantitative approach. The population in this study were all beneficiaries who followed the skills training at Teenage Social Institution (PSBR) Rumbai Pekanbaru which amounted to 70 respondents. The sampling technique in this research is using the technique of saturated samples (Survei) is the taking of sample members of the population done as a whole regardless of the strata that exist in the population. The instruments in this study were questionnaires or questionnaires containing statements about beneficiary resilience following skill learning at the Tribe Sosail Bina Remaja (PSBR) Rumbai Pekanbaru with indicators 1) Internal Control Lectures, 2) Autonomous, 3) Optimism, 4) Flexibility, 5) Motivation, 6) Confidence. Mean confident with mean 4.41 and SD 0.37 then motivation with mean 4.31 and SD 0.34, then optimism with mean 4.28 and SD 0.44, then internal control locus with mean 4.20 and SD 0 , 31, then flexibility with mean 4.12 and SD 0.31 and after that the mean is low is autonomous with mean of 3.98 and SD 0.31. Its meaning is autonomous not very influential to beneficiary resilience. However, confidence is very influential on resilience.Keywords : Resilience, Beneficiaries

Abstract

Abstract: This quasi experiment research aims to describe the influence of the application of learning circuit learning model to the learning outcomes of IPS students of class III SDN 56 Pekanbaru. The design of this study using nonequivalent control group design. Subjects in this study were grade IIIB SDN 56 Pekanbaru as a control class and students of class IIIA SDN 56 Pekanbaru as experimental class. The data collected is the result of IPS learning. The data collected were analyzed by using T test. From the analyzed data obtained t arithmetic = 0.734 and t table = 2.020. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that there is no influence of the application of learning circuit learning model to the results of learning IPS students class III SDN 56 Pekanbaru.Keyword : Circuit learning model, result of learning social science

Abstract

Abstract: This research to improve the learning process and the student’s mathematical understanding skill by Discovery Learning (DL) model. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The subjects of this research were students of class VII2 SMPN 25 Pekanbaru. This study was conducted in the second semester of academic year 2017/2018. The research instruments used are mathematical learning instruments (Syllabus, Lesson Plans, and Student Worksheet) and instruments for collecting data (Observation Sheets and Mathematical-Understanding Tests). The observation sheets were used to find out the data of students and teacher activity during learning process which would analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively, and mathematical understanding test were used to collect the student’s mathematical understanding skill outcomes which would analyzed quantitatively. Based on the analysis of the observation sheets showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Result of the test indicates that the student’s learning achievement for the first is 48.03 improved in cycle I to 64.21 and improved to 81.37 in cycle II. The improvement of student’s learning achievement founded for each indicator of mathematical understanding skill: redefine the concept, provide examples and not examples the concept, and applying concepts to solve the problem. Based on the result above, it can be concluded that the implementation of Discovery Learning model approach can improve the learning process and the students’ mathematical understanding skill outcomes at class VII2 SMPN 25 Pekanbaru.Key Words: mathematical understanding skill, discovery learning, classroom action research

Abstract

Abstract : This research is based on the low learning result of PPKn students in SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras Kabupaten Pelalawan. The formulation of the problem in this research is: "Is there any influence of peer lessons learning model on the learning outcomes of PPKn IPA class X students in SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras Kabupaten Pelalawan?" This research aims to know the effect of peer lessons learning model on learning outcomes of PPKn class X IPA in SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras ". This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras in April 2018. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that became the population in this study is the students of class X IPA SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras. Samples in this study is taken based on the technique of "Random Sampling". Where the class taken into the sample is the students of class X IPAa (experimental class) which is given the model of Peer Lessons Learning and class X IPAb (control class) are students who are given the conventional method. Then data analysis by using homogeneity test and test "t". Based on the result of research indicate that there is influence of learning result between student using Peer Lessons model and conventional method in SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras (t = (count = 66,11)> t_ (table = 2.01)). Where there is an average increase of learning outcomes of experimental class PPKn from 66, 07 to 78.92 and the average increase in learning outcomes of control class PPKn from 58.06 to 65. Thus the hypothesis that there is influence of Peer lessons learning model on the results learning PPKn IPA class X students in SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras, can be accepted.Keywords : Peer Lessons, Learning Outcomes.
