Abstract

Abstract: The research about comparing cooperative learning models types Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) with Numbered Head Together (NHT) has been done to improve student’s achievement on learning topic Atomic structure and periodic systems of elements at class X SMAN 2 Dayun. This research aimed to find out student’s achievement the better one between cooperative learning models types Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) with Numbered Head Together (NHT) on learning topic of Atomic structure and periodic systems of elements by comparing these two models. This was a quasi experimental research with pretest-posttest design. Population on this research ware all classes X in SMAN 2 Dayun consisting of four classes. The subject of this research ware X4 as the experimental class of TSTS and X2 as the experimental class of NHT, which were determined randomly after conducting normality and homogeneity test. The data analysis to test the hypothesis was using two tail t-test. Based on the data analysis, it is obtained that tcount = 4,271 and ttable = 2,00 with α = 0,05, dk = 53. tcount ≥ ttable 4,271≥ 2,00. It means there are significant differences between the student’s achievement by using cooperative learning model type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) with the student’s achievement by using cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together (NHT) on the learning topic of Atomic structure and periodic systems of elements in SMAN 2 Dayun.Keywords: TSTS, NHT, Learning achievement, Atomic structure and periodic systems of elements

Abstract

Abstrack: The research aims to increase student learning achievement on the subject structure of atoms and the periodic system of elements in class XI science SMAN 11 Pekanbaru. This research is a kind of experiment research with pretest-posttest design. The samples of this research were the students of class XI IPA 3 as the experimental class and students of class XI IPA 4 as the control class. Experimental class is a class that is applied cooperative learning type Lottery Card model, while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on analysis data tcount>ttable is 1,84 > 1,67, means that the application of model cooperative learning type lottery card can improve student achievement on the subject structure of atoms and the periodic system of elements in class XI science SMAN 11 Pekanbaru by category increase achievement (N-Gain) high at 0.72.Keywords: Learning Achievement, Cooperative type Lottery Card, Atomic Structure and Element of the Periodic System.

Abstract

Abstract: The research about application of cooperative learning techniques roving group has been done to improve student’s achievement on the topic of chemical bonds at 10th of SMAN 10 Pekanbaru on 02 October- 06 November 2013. This research is experimental research based on pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of two classes, X4 class as experiment class and X3 class as control class that randomly selected after testing homogeneity. Application of cooperative learning techniques roving group applied in experiment class. Analysis of data used t-test. Results of data processing obtained tcount>ttable (3,678> 1,67). It means that the application of cooperative learning techniques roving group can improve student’s achievementon the topic of chemical bonds at 10th of SMAN 10 Pekanbaru. Abstract

Abstract: discourse to change the Election Law which has authority to elect regional heads returned to Parliament, which means that the implementation of the election is no longer directly, but through representatives who sit in the legislature region. Many opinions arise when the Draft Law on Election by Parliament was published to the public either in the form of acceptance or rejection. As intellectuals, students should be able to read the situation and assess appropriately supported all the knowledge to determine the correct attitude towards a political problem that occurred at that time and be a good example for society. Formulation of the problem in this research is how the attitude of Pancasila and Citizenship Education students of the Faculty of Education, University of Riau on the implementation of Direct Indirect election in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the attitude of Pancasila and Citizenship Education students of the Faculty of Education, University of Riau on the implementation of Direct and Indirect elections in Indonesia. That is the subject in this study were all students of Pancasila and Citizenship Education, the Faculty of Education, University of Riau from 2011-2014 workforce numbering 245 persons and a sample of 152 people. In setting the sample using a sampling technique Slovin is with precision of 5% from 245 students to 152 students. Data gathered through questionnaires, and technical literature. In analyzing the data using qualitative descriptive technique with percentages.The results showed that the number of respondents who answered "agree" to the implementation of direct elections as much as 62.98% in the range of 33.33% -66.67% means that the respondents are approved the implementation of direct elections in Indonesia. As for the elections Indirect respondents who answered "agree" as much as 66.08% is also in the range of 33.33% - 66.67%, the respondents are approved implementation Indirect elections in Indonesia. Abstract: In accordance with customary provisions required all public or adolescent from each tribe to go in or come to the house Godang, and follow all the stages that exist in Rayo home Godang, but especially young couple (teenagers) each tribal began to decline to assemble or bersilahturami Godang home or home for the feast kotonya Godang home or on the 2nd day of Eid Eid. Based on the above issue the writer take the title "Study on the implementation and understanding of traditional values in the home Rayo Godang in adolescents in Kenegerian Sentajo Regency Kuantan Singingi". Problem formulation in this research is how the implementation of the Rayo home Godang in adolescents and understanding of traditional values in the home Rayo Godang in adolescents in Kenegerian Sentajo Singingi Kuantan District. The purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation of the Rayo home Godang in adolescents and understanding of traditional values in the home Rayo Godang in adolescents in Kenegerian Sentajo Singingi Kuantan District. The population is 270 people and the sample amounted to 52 people. Instrument of data collection that the questionnaire consisted of 9 questions and 19 statements and interviews. Then the data was analyzed by qualitative descriptive through percentage. From the calculation of the percentage of respondents in getting answers to implementation as much as 35.1% unfavorable and understanding of traditional values of less good as much as 49.7%, which is located on the rank 25,01-50.00% Thus the hypothesis that the implementation of the Rayo home Godang and understanding of traditional values in the home Rayo Godang in adolescents both in Kenegerian Sentajo Regency Kuantan Singingi rejected. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the study on the implementation and understanding of traditional values in the home Rayo Godang in adolescents in Kenegerian Sentajo Regency Kuantan Singingi is Not Good.Keywords: Implementation, understanding, values, Indigenous Rayo Home Godang

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the effect of the development of oil palm plantations on rural economies surrounding communities in District Fullness Rokan Hulu. This research was conducted in the District Fullness Rokanhulu district. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. A population of 4,999 people by the farmers and sampled 98 oil palm growers. Data collection instrument used was a questionnaire with a sampling technique in this research is to use non-random sampling method is purposive sampling. From the research activities of oil palm plantations in the district Fullness Rokan Hulu creates a multiplier effect of 1.20 figures, especially in employment and business opportunity. Oil palm plantation activities have an impact acceleration of the economic development community in the effort to reduce poverty. Oil palm plantations can improve the economy of rural communities. Abstract: The economy is very important for life, especially the life of the state. Before the confrontation economy is quite "passionate", the condition is supported by the use of a dollar as trade of exchange. Riau Islands at that time earned the nickname "Heaven of Dollar" (Surga Dollar). the outbreak of confrontation between Malaysia and Indonesia due in 1961 on the wishes Federation of Malaya was known as “Persekutuan Tanah Melayu” (PTM). wishes combines Brunei, Sabah and Sarawak into the Federation of Malaysia, which is not in accordance with the Agreement of Manila (Manila Accord) and the President considers the establishment of the Federation of Malaysia at that time known as the "British Puppets" is colonialism and imperialism in a new form, in 1963 the United Nations (UN) to lift Malaysia as a non-permanent member of the UN council it also makes the relationship between the two countries became hostile, then take economic measures in the context of confrontation contained in various rules, as a concrete step the government to take decisive action in the monetary field which prohibits the use of exchange rates Dollar Singapore and Malaysia in the Riau Islands which entered into force on October 15, 1963 replaced the currency of Riau Islands Rupiah “Kepulauan Riau Rupiah” (KRRP). The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that lead to confrontation so as to make the economic situation is very difficult, how the economic changes of society at the time of the confrontation and the impact at the time, the situation of government policy in tackling confrontations that have an impact on the economy and the role of the World international or International Organization in addressing the confrontation that occurred between Indonesia and Malaysia, especially in Tanjung Balai Karimun. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method. The research location in Tanjung Balai Karimun. When the study began seminar starting from the proposal to the thesis examination. Data collection techniques from sources of books, interviews and the relevant documents. Abstract

Abstract: This classroom action research was aimed to know whether animation films could improve the ability of the second grade students of SMAN 1 Bantan in writing legend. The participants of this research were 26 students of class XI Science 2. The data was collected by using observation sheets, writing tests and field notes. The collected data was analyzed by statistical analysis by using SPSS version 20.0. The research finding indicated that using animation films as media could improve students’ ability in writing legend both at the first and second cycle. The result of pre-test showed the average score of students’ writing ability was 59.38. It improved to 70.33 on post-test 1 and 77.08 on post-test 2. The animation films help the students to understand the plot of the film and gave the students idea to write. This media could build the new atmosphere in the classroom that motivated the students to learn writing legend. The questions given after the students watched the film also guided the students in writing. All in all, this media could effectively improve the ability of the second grade students of SMAN 1 Bantan in writing legend.Keywords: Animation Films, Writing, Senior High School, Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: The research is a descriptive research that was conducted based on the problem occurred at the first years students of SMA 7 Siak; namely the students were lack in making sentences using relative pronouns that influence them got poor sore in test. Therefore, this research was aimed to find out on the ability of the first years students of SMA 7 Siak in combining sentences using relative pronouns. The participants were 35 students from first years of SMA 7 Siak. This research was conducted for about four months(February – May, 2015) and wad taken on April 6th and April 8th , 2015 at SMAN 7 Siak, Tut WuriHandayani street No.1, Kandis. The data collection technique was obtained through (1) try out which was applied to know the quality of the test items, particularly to determine the item difficulty and item discrimination and (2) test was done to measure students’ achievement. The research finding can briefly explain as follow: First the result of the test shows that the easiest relative pronouns is ‘where’ (average to good level), while the most difficult relative pronouns is ‘whom’ (poor level). It can be seen in the mean score for relative pronoun ‘where’ is 66,25 (average to good level) and the mean score for relative pronoun ‘whom’ is 34,38 (poor level).Keyword: relative pronouns, combining sentences.

Abstract

Abstract: This quasi-experimental research aimed to find out whether there is significant effect of webbing technique on the first year students’ ability in writing descriptive paragraph at SMP N 23 Pekanbaru. The researcher used cluster sampling technique to determine the sample. The samples were 36 students as experimental group and 36 students as control group. Writing test is used to get the data by giving pretest and posttest. In analyzing the data, the researcher used t-test formula. The analysis of the data showed that there was significant effect of webbing technique on the students’ ability in writing descriptive paragraph. The mean score of the students before the treatment was 55.83 in experimental group and 56.58 in control group. The mean score of the students after the treatment was 71.09 in experimental group, while in control group was 66.70. Moreover, from the statistical analysis, it was found out the T-observed (1.83) was higher than T-table at the level of significance 0.05 (1.667). Based on this finding, it is suggested that webbing technique can be used by the teacher as an alternative method in the teaching writing, particularly in descriptive text.Keywords: Webbing Technique, Writing Ability, Descriptive Paragraph
