Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to know the implementation of the scientific approach in improving students learning activities, and students' perceptions of the application of the scientific approach in learning process. This research was conducted at Junior high school 8 pekanbaru on March - December 2019 with research respondents of all of students from VIII2, VIII6, VIII10, and 3 teachers. The data collected through observation, and questionnaire. Observations were made to collect data on activities undertaken by teachers and learning activities undertaken by students, distribution of questionnaires to students to collect data on students' perceptions about the application of scientific approaches in social studies learning Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that 1) The application of the scientific approach to social studies subjects has been well implemented. 2) students' perceptions of the application of the scientific approach to social studies subjects is included good categories. Thus the use of the scientific approach by teachers, especially in social studies subject in addition to increase student learning activities are also appropriate with the expectations and desires of students.Key Words: Implementation of Scientific Approaches, Students’ Learning Activities, Students’ Perceptions.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was carried out because of the low role of parents’ in giving tutoring to 4th grade students at 188 Pekanbaru state elementary school which can be seen from the many students’ who are lazy to learn and the value is still below KKM. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of the parents’ role in providing learning guidance with learning outcomes of 4th grade students at 188 Pekanbaru state elementary school. This research was conducted at 188 Pekanbaru state elementary school in August, 2018. This research is quantitative research with a sample of 78 students. The data use in this study is secondary data obtained from questionnaire and data of students’ learning outcomes. Data collection techniques of the parents’ role in providing tutoring are obtained from questionnaires given to students and students’ learning outcomes are obtained from teacher’s value book documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study use software SPSS type 21. The result that there is a significant relationship between the role of parents in providing tutoring with learning outcomes of 4th grade students at 188 Pekanbaru state elementary school with a contribution of 13%.Key Words: The role of parents, tutoring of learning, learning outcomes

Abstract: Simpang Perak Jaya village subdistrict Kerinci kanan district Siak is transmigration villages, which are Transmigration Settlement Unit (UPT) Settlement Unit VII (SP) 7 region of Buatan Inti Indo Sawit Subur (IIS) that is included in the Office of the Ministry of Transmigration Dumai in region Bengkalis subistrict of Siak. Under district expansion according The Constituion Number 53 , 1999 about Siak District formation, and then Simpang Perak Jaya village under Kerinci Kanan Subsdistrict Siak District jurisdiction. This research have purpose for understanding (1) To determine the development of community education Simpang Kanan Perak Jaya Kerinci Subdistrict Siak Regency (1993-2014). (2) To knowing amount of of students who that have school in simpang perak jaya village (1993-2014). (3) To determine the number of educators in Simpang Perak Jaya jaya village (4) To determine the number of educational facilities in Simpang Perak Jaya village. (5) To determine the factors that influence the development of education in Simpang perak jaya village (1993-2014). This research use descriptive qualitative method with history approach and data accumulation including interview, litterature and documentation. The result of this research is showing that educational development in Simpang Perak Jaya Village increase as the educational employee is increasing the successing people development.Keywords: Education,SimpangPerak jaya Village

Abstract

Abstract : The research is about the low science,s studies students learning outcomes with an average 56,25. While the value of minimum of criteria of completeness is 65. This researth is classroom action researth (CAR). That is suppose to increase the science,s studies students learning outcomes at fourth brrade of elementary school 005 Sungai Segajah Kubu in Rokan Hilir District. Formulation of this research is: Does the application of cooperative learning model type make a match can increase the learning outcomes of social studies at fourth grade of elementary school 005 Sungai Segajah Kubu in Rokan Hilir district. The students learning outcomes before CAR is about 56,25% in fair category. Whereas after CAR in cycle 1 increase about 66,25% with fairly good category ard in cycle II is about 71,25% with good category the comparison of students learning outcomes in before and after CAR in cycle I inerease about 17,77% whereas from cycle 1 to cycle 2 incerease about 26,66%. The teacher is activity has an average incycle 1 is about 62,25%. Whereas in cycle 2 is about 79,16%. And the students activity have an average value in cycle 1 is about 58,33% and cycle 2 is about 75%. The result of this research is the application of cooperative learning model type make a match can increase the science,s studies students learning outcomes at fourth brade of elementary school 005 Sungai Segajah Kubu in Rokan Hilir District.Key Word : Kooperative type make a match, The science,s students Achievement

Abstract

Abstract: The research about the learning cell type of cooperative learning model has been conducted in SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to improve the student achievement on the topic chemical bond in class X MIPA SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. The type of this research is experimental research with experiment design randomized control group pretest-posttest. Sample of the research consisted of two classes, a class X MIPA4 as an experimental class (implemented the learning cell type of cooperative learning model) and class X MIPA3 as the control class (without the learning cell type of cooperative learning model). T-test was used as analysis technique. Based on the data analysis obtained t > t table (1.80 > 1.67), meaning that the application of the learning cell type of cooperative learning model can improve the student achievement on the subject chemical bond in class X MIPA SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. The improvement of the student achievement category (N-Gain) as high as 0.73.Keywords: Student Achievement, The Learning Cell Type, Cooperative Learning, Chemical Bond.

Abstract

Abstract: In this research there were very problems with the lack of leg muscle and eye and foot coordination with the accuracy of the long passing of the PS Dabink soccer team, Tambang District, Kampar Regency. The purpose of this research was to determine and prove that there is a link between leg muscle power and eye-foot coordination on the accuracy of long-term transmission of PS Dabink football team, Tambang District, Kampar Regency. The type of investigation used is the type of correlation investigation, this investigation is a correlational investigation by comparing the results of measurements between different variables to find the level of the relationship between these variables. The population in this research was 14 people from the PS Dabink soccer team. The sample used in this research was 14 people. As Arikunto (2006: 134) has indicated that if the population size is less than 100, the entire population must be sampled to obtain representative data. The instruments used in this research are (a) Standing broad jump, (b) soccer wall volley test, and (c) Bobby Charlton gastric passage. Then the data test using the normality test, normality test data with liliefors test, correlation analysis. X1 L₀max variable normality test (0.1069) < Ltable (0.2270), X2 L₀max normality test variable (0.0950) < Ltable (0.2270) and Y variable normality test (0.2064) < Ltable (0, 2270). With this, the data is distributed normally and the conclusions of the study show that the hypothesis is accepted at a significant level α = 0.05, in other words, there is a connection between leg muscle strength and eye-foot coordination on the accuracy of the long-pass from the PS Dabink football team, Tambang Subdistrict, Kampar Regency with rcount (1,020) > table (0.553).Key Words: Leg Muscle, Ankle Coordination, Passing By, Football

Abstract

Absract : This classroom action research is aimed to improve learning process and mathematics learning outcomes by implementing Problem Solving Strategy in Problem Based Learning. The research subjects are 40 heterogeneous academic ability level students of the VII8 class of Junior High School 8 Pekanbaru in academic year of 2015/2016. This research implemented in two cycles in which each cycle consisted of four phases, i.e: namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. By the end of each cycle, formative test was given. The data was collected by doing observation of teachers and students activities and formative test. The research shows learning process improvement after the implementation Problem Solving Strategy in Problem Based Learning.  Most of student participated actively and responsible in the learning process like discussing, presenting, responding and drawing the lesson conclusion. The member of students passing the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) on base score, formative tes I (first cycle), formative test II (second cycle) were respectively 37,5%, 67,5% and 85%. The persentage of KKM achievement also indicates the increase after the implementation , this it can be said that the students learning outcomes also increase. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of Problem Solving Strategy in Problem Based Learning can improve the learning process and improve mathematics learning outcomes of VII8 class students at state junior high school 8 Pekanbaru in the academic year 2015/2016.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the composition of the mixture of coconut coir and mangrove wood with the best variation of briquette pressure and produce a learning module design on high school biotechnology class XII material. This research was conducted at the Biology Education Laboratory of FKIP, Production Laboratory, and Energy Conversion in Mechanical Engineering, Riau University. This research lasted for 3 months starting from March - May 2019. This research was conducted in 2 stages: the first stage: the experiment of utilizing coconut fiber and mangrove wood in briquette making and the second stage: the design of biotechnology learning modules in high school. This study used an experimental method with a factorial completely randomized design of 5 x 3 consisting of 5 types of treatment in the composition of coconut coir and mangrove wood composition and 3 types of treatment on briquette pressures with 3 replications each. The parameters measured in this study are water content, ash content and heating value. The results of this study produced the briquettes with the best combination found in the A3B3 treatment, namely the composition of 25% coconut fiber and 75% mangrove wood with the use of briquette pressure of 150 kg / cm3. Based on the analysis of the potential of the research results can be used as a module design learning materials biotechnology class XII high school.Key Words: Coconut coir, mangrove wood, briquettes, briquette pressure, module

Abstract

Abstract : This descriptive research is aimed at finding out the ability of the second year students of SMAN 8 Pekanbaru in transforming Active into Passive Sentences and Vice Versa. The research data were collected in January 2017. The subject of this research were class XI IPA 5 and XI IPA 6 consists of 68 students. The data were obtained from a test to the students in the form essay. The results administrated of the research showed that the second year students’ ability at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru in the transforming of active into passive sentences got the mean score of 62.3, and in transforming passive into active sentences got the mean score of 59.9.Keywords: Students’ ability, Transforming, Active sentences, Passive sentences
