Abstract

Abstract:The problem of this research is motivated by the existence of conflicts or tensions between customs and the Bible related to the procedures for traditional Batak marriages. This study aims to determine the public's perception of marriage without Batak tribal procedures, and the consequences if marriage without Batak traditional procedures in the Pentecostal Church. This research method is descriptive method, where this research is a qualitative research. The research location was set at the Pentecostal Church on Jalan Harapan Jaya, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru. The informants of this study were 5 people. The data collection technique of this research is interviews, and is supported by observation and documentation. The data analysis of this research used qualitative analysis in the form of data reduction, power display, and verification. The results of this study indicate that the community's perception of marriage without Batak tribal procedures is known from the presence of couples who marry without using customs caused by economic factors and church teaching factors. There are also couples who get married without using the Batak tribe's customs, who think that without being attended to is also not a problem. The result of marriage without Batak customary procedures in the Pentecostal Church is not being able to participate in traditional activities in the form of giving or receiving ulos and jambars, rarely participating in clan associations (punguan) so as to create barriers to friendship with other clans, so that it becomes talk in traditional activities.Key Words: Perception,Marriage Without Batak Traditional Procedures

Abstract

Abstract : Rational thinking is a thought that uses reason or logic for what happens to find the truth, which becomes a yardstick for making decisions. It is hoped that one can use logic based on relevant evidence to form ideas, attitudes, actions, in order to achieve goals. Found several phenomena on Non-Formal Education Unit of the Pekanbaru city Learning Center (SPNF-SKB) such as not being able to argue, have no motivation, and cannot take risks for the actions taken. This phenomenon is also related to the attitude of learning citizens and supportive teaching human resources. The purpose of this study was to determine the way of thinking of the SPNF-SKB learning community.This type of research used in this research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The number of citizens studying in the non-formal education unit of the Pekanbaru city learning center was 70 people consisting of 10 packages A, 23 packages B, and 37 packages C. The sampling technique was random sampling method of 41 people for the questionnaire test. Research indicators are the formation of understanding, forming opinions, and drawing conclusions.Based on the research results brational thinking citizens learn in non-formal education units, learning activity centers (SPNF-SKB) Pekanbaru city is classified as good, with the highest indicator for opinion formation with 74%, while the indicator for understanding formation with a percentage of 71% and indicators for drawing conclusions with a percentage of 63%.Key Words : Rational Thinking, Learning Citizens, SKB

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the problems in the implementation ofpublic services, which are still lacking, especially in the research location, namely thevillage of Mulya Subur, which is still complained about by the community starting fromhealth facilities, services for the convoluted public correspondence needs which areincreasing with the existence of limitation of activity during the new normal period ofCovid-19. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the public's perception ofpublic services in the new normal period of Covid-19 by the Village Apparatus MulyaSubur, Pangkalan Lesung District, Pelalawan Regency. The purpose of this study wasto determine how the public's perception of public services in the new normal period ofCovid-19 by the Village Apparatus Mulya Subur, Pangkalan Lesung District,Pelalawan Regency. The method used is descriptive quantitative, data collectioninstruments used in this study were questionnaires and interviews. The population inthis study were the people of Mulya Subur village. The sample in this study was taken byincidental sampling and quota sampling , amounting to 93 people. Based on the resultsof the research conducted, it can be concluded that the public's perception of publicservices in the new normal period of covid-19 by the Mulya Subur Village Apparatus,Pangkalan Lesung District, Pelalawan Regency is in the "Good Enough" category.Key Words: Perception, Society, Public Service, New Normal

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant influence of exemplary economics teachers on the discipline of class XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. The population in this study were all class XI SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru as many as 87 students, thus taking the overall sample of the population, namely 87 students. Testing data using questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis used is simple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between the exemplary economy teachers on the discipline of class XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru with an influence contribution of 10.3% while the remaining 89.7% is explained by other factors not examined in this study.Key Words: Student Discipline, Teacher Exemplary

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out the effectiveness of Office 365 online media for Civic Education learning during the pandemic covid-19. This study was conducted on students who had done PKn learning using Office 365 online media and students who had never learned using Office 365 (conventional) online media with a population of 882 people and a sample of 72 people determined using Isaac and Michael tables. The data collection method uses questionnaires to determine the use of Office 365 online media, documents of learning achievement to determine student learning achievement before using Office 365 online media and after using Office 365 online media and library studies are used to measure the effect oftovotas and theories in research. The data analysis techniques in this study are descriptive analysis in the form of questionnaire data to determine the use of Office 365 media and learning achievement to find out student learning achievement and t-paired sample t test to determine differences in learning outcomes and n-gain scores to currify the effectiveness of using Office 365 using SPSS software version 22 and Microsoft Exel. The results showed that office 365 oline media usage was good with a percentage gain of 44.44%, there is an increase in learning achievement After using Office 365, differences in learning achievement before using Office 365 and After using Office 365, and office 365 online media is quite effectively used as an online learning media for learning Civic Education learning the Pandemic covid-19 in SMK Negeri 1 pekanbaru with the acquisition of n-gain score of 67.14 based on hake theory (1999).Key Words: Effectiveness, Online Media Office 365, Pkn, Covid-19, Students

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine how interest in continuing education to tertiary institutions and what factors influence the interest in continuing education to tertiary education for students of SMK Negeri 1 Bukit Batu. This study used a quantitative descriptive method and the population in this study were students of class XI, amounting to 93 people using saturated samples. The data analysis technique used was the F test, the coefficient of determination (R2), Uji multiple linear regression. The result of this research is that ideals have an effect on the interest in continuing education to higher education, where the tcount is 4.027 ≥ ttable 1.987 and a significant value is 0.000 ≤ 0.05. The family environment has no effect on the interest in continuing education to higher education where the obtained t count is 1.747 ≤ t table 1.987 and a significant value is 0.084 ≥ 0.50. Peers have no effect on the interest in continuing education to higher education where the obtained t count is 2.109 ≤ t table 1.987 and a significant value of 0.038 ≥ 0.05. The school environment has an effect on the interest in continuing education to higher education where obtained tcount 5.069 ≥ t table 1.987 and a significant value of 0.000 ≤ 0.05. Simultaneously there is a significant influence between ideals, family environment, peers and the school environment where the obtained Fcount value 38.179 ≥ F table 2.47 and a significant value 0.000 ≤ 0.05. Multiple linear regression equation Y = -2.014 + 0.263 X1 + 0.124 X2 + 0.102 X3 + 0.417 X4. The results of the research coefficient of determination (R2) obtained a value of 0.634 or 63.4%, meaning that this indicates that the variables of ideals (X1), family environment (X2), peers (X3), school environment (X4) together provide contribution to learning outcomes was 63.4%, and the rest (36.6%) was influenced by other factors not included in the study.Key Words: Interest In Continuing Education To Tertiary Institutions, Ideals,The Family Environment, Peers, The School Environment

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to develop learning tools based on the Susan Loucks-Horsley Model on Vibration and wave material for class VIII in junior high school, to investigate the validity of learning devices that have been developed. The device development model used is the Research and Development (R & D) model with a design 4D developed by S. Thiagarajan, et al. Teaching tools developed in the form of lesson plans (RPP), student worksheets (LKPD), and learning outcomes tests arranged based on indicators of students' science process skills. Data collection using sheets assessment of the validation of learning tools for assessing lesson plans, student worksheet, and learning outcomes tests that are used by the validator to assess learning tools. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive analysis. The results showed that the validity data obtained for the average validity of the lesson plan was 3.39 with a very high category, the average validity of LKPD was 3.17 with a very high category, and the average learning outcome test was 3.30 with the category Very high. It can be concluded that the learning device developed based on the Susan Lewis-hosley model is declared valid and can be used as a learning device for class VIII vibrations and waves in junior high schools to be tested for its feasibility. Abstract: This study examine the attitude of the community towards the Youth Family Development Program (BKR) in the KB Village, Kampung Tengah Sub-district, Sukajadi District, Pekanbaru. This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach, while the data collection process is carried out through a questionnaire (questionnaire) and disseminated to respondents who are selected as research samples. The sampling technique used in this study was random sampling. Abstract

Abstract: This descriptive quantitative research was aimed to find out the ability of the second grade students of MA Darul Istiqomah Kemuning Inhil in writing recount texts. The sample of the research was 40 students in the second grade of MA Darul Istiqomah Kemuning. The data were obtained from students’ ability in writing a recount text. The writing test was used as the test to assess the students’ ability. The time allocation was 60 minutes for the entire test. The data were scored by three raters by using writing scoring system that assesses five aspects of writing: content, grammar, organization, vocabulary and mechanics. The finding showed that the students had a good ability level in writing recount texts which means that students were able to write the recount text in English well. It was found out that the students’ ability in terms of content was the highest among other aspects with the category score level is good and the lowest score was in terms of mechanics with the category score level is fair. From the findings, it is suggested the students need to do more practice in writing English texts and improve their writing especially in terms of grammar and mechanics.Key Words: Ability, Writing, Recount Text

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect, discipline of learning and learning motivation on student achievement in economic subjects in class XI IPS at SMAN 1 Minas. This research uses quantitative methods. The data collection process begins with collecting data as a whole from field research and library research. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression test with the help of SPSS version 20.0. The results showed that partially there was an effect of student learning discipline and student learning motivation on student achievement in economics class X1 at SMA Negeri 1 Minas on learning achievement. Simultaneously all independent variables have an effect on student achievement in economics class X1 at SMA Negeri 1 Minas. The amount of influence of the independent variables (X1) and (X2), namely discipline and motivation, can affect the Y variable (learning achievement) only 22.7%.
