Abstract

Authentication at Petra Christian University using an account that is stored in the local user operating system on the server John and Peter. Puskom need to store more data than it currently can. Therefore, LDAP is used to replace the local user account on the storage operating system. Existing application uses PAM through dovecot / POP3 to authenticate.Work on the thesis focuses on the implementation of LDAP at Petra Christian University and migration of accounts and applications. Implementation and migration using account data that is stored on a server John and Peter. Applications are made for searching and modify existing account or create new account. Applications are made to support the needs Puskom.Based on testing performed, the account migration is successful. Testing the migrated account was performed using multiple accounts belongs to students and lecturer. Also response time that is needed by LDAP to authentication request is shorter than autentication using existing system which use POP3.

Abstract

There are a lot of games with said genre that have been published for public and most of the games have a vs. Artificial Intelligence mode or AI for short. But the variations of the AI for Turn-Based Strategy genre are abundant. That is why hopefully this research will be able to help game developers who would like to make a Turn-Based Strategy game but have no idea which type of AI suits this kind of genre the most.The program, which is a game, that is made containts two AIs which are Genetic Algorithm and Fuzzy Logic. There are also 3 type of game modes that user can choose from, which are player vs. GA AI, player vs. Fuzzy AI, and the last one is GA AI vs. Fuzzy AI. The two AIs will be used to determine what type of unit the AI should make, who to attack and retreat from.From the results of the testcase which are a fight between the two AIs, genetic algorithm is more than able to make different kinds of unit, but it’s also capable of producing units that are suitable for the situation. Fuzzy logic consumes more time than genetic algorithm because of the huge amount of rules and genetic algorithm having some kind of threshold to get out of its iteration before it’s supposed to end that results in not-so time consuming process for each process. But on the other hand, if the fuzzy rules and its membership functions to be optimized, it’s almost guaranteed to produce better results.

Abstract

Internet that we use everyday is not fully secured from hackers that want to do cybercrime. Today, the Internet has become part of our daily lives as one of the means of communication in business as well as for individuals. But behind that there are many holes weakness of the system on the internet that can be exploited by the cracker for not good purposes, such as mail bombs, randomization of home page, data theft, password or credit card number. Most of security that people used in general is only the basic security system.This application is created using the programming language Python and html. The interface of app using Bottle Python Web Framework that can be accessed via IP Gateway. This is made in Raspberry Pi which is equipped with 16x2 LCD.The result of this development is we are able to use VPN and Tor simultaneously so that surfing / browsing on the internet becomes more secure and can access some websites that have been blocked like reddit forum. With this application cyber hackers will have trouble in doing tracking.

Abstract

Electricity is a basic need that is still not optimal in Indonesia, and  the waste of electricity in Indonesia which is quite large, therefore with this tool can help to save electrical energy, but it can also monitor the burden attached to the tool can help manage financial because this tool displays total usage and total price.The tool that I made consisted of several main components such as the Arduino microcontroller, the ZMPT101B voltage sensor module, the ACS712 30A current sensor module. From the installed load, the data in the form of voltage and current will be read by the sensor and sent to the microcontroller for calculation.The calculation results will be uploaded to Firebase, which later will be fetched and showed by the Android application, The application will also be equipped with other features such as, on-off switch, reset, history,setkwh and total cost .

Abstract

The Department of Infomatics Engineering and Business Infomation System of Petra Christian University has been using shared folder to save much of its operational data, like student scoresheet, list of active students, and photos of the department for exampl. But the shared folder is very vulnerable to be accessed by someone outside of the department if they had access to the computer  that have access to the shared folder easily. This shared folder also proven to be difficult to be accessed via smartphone, because there were no dedicated application that gives user access to use operational data easily.  This Private Cloud storage is using PHP and Javascript as its programming language for the web application and Java fo the mobile application. The server that used is dedicated solely fo this application and can be accessed via public IP.The result of the application development is giving user access of their files from their smartphones. This application also verifies the user so not anybody can have access to the files that’s stod in the storage.Users can also share ther files not only to another users, but also to some groups. Users can also edit thei documents right from the website

Abstract

As we know technology is increasing. Many areas of life can be assisted and facilitated by the existence of the technology. Moreover, the use of the internet is increasing rapidly. However, the internet can also be used to help the small things in life. Ease of access of technology also triggered an ever increasing use of the internet. The use of smartphones is also growing in the    communities. Therefore, the use of smartphones and the internet to facilitate daily life is absolutely right. One of the problems that needs tp be solved is related to Aquarium. There are problems in managingf the Aquarium. The owners have complained that hard to maintance the aquarium. Especially when they leave the Aquarium for a long period of time. Certainly the Aquarium should still be treated each day. The most routine maintenance carried out covering the feeding and temperature settings. In solving the Aquarium, the author uses the arduino. The device is a microcontroller that can aid in the control of another device. The arduino device connected to the internet via wifi as intermediary. Furthermore, the arduino will be connected to the server. The connection to the server can connect the arduino with the database. The specified database can be modified using the android device, users can perform device settings the arduino using a smartphone. The result of this research is a system based on Arduino, Android technology and MySQL server. This allows the system to connect to each other through the internet network. The system consists of 3 main sections. The first part is a server as an intermediary between two other parts. The second part is an arduino as a physical device. The last part is the application of phonegap at android.

Abstract

To keep up with technological developments and people behavior, intelligent bot has become part of the business world which help them maintain good relation with their customer. Unfortunately, resource for intelligent bot in Indonesian language is very scarce compared to High Resource Language like English. Therefore further research about Natural Language Understanding in Indonesian language is needed. We use Convolutional Neural Network method to train our model. Model consist of embedding layer, convolutional layer, max pooling, flatten, dropout, and softmax layer. In the process of making model, there are many variable that can be tested such as dropout, number of filter, size of filter, etc. This research show that the amount and quality of data for each category can affect how a model understand the feature of each category which affect the overall precision. The quality of word2vec, one of the most important resource in the model can give significant impact on precision. The size of dropout can affect how the model understand the important feature of data. From various tests, we found that the best precision is 93 %.

Abstract

Effectivity and efficiency is one of the most needed factory by human, it is because of their growing activity to do their business. This is surely increase the human needs of more effective and efficient technology. There are so many business that have already harness the technology advances, it can be clarified from the business transaction that are computerized. Because technology usage can help business to work effectively and efficiency.From the background above Kiddy Baby Shop tried to improve their effectiveness and efficiency from their business process by making a web application. Hopefully, this website could ease the administration process that are happening in Kiddy Baby Shop. All the feature such as purchase, sale, and report can be accessed from one system so it will decrease the human error risk.This research conducted with some interview and observation, the goal of these activity is to gather the information needed by this research. From all of the information gathered, Data Flow Diagram (DFD), Database Design, and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) will be built. All of the diagram built will become the foundation for building the web application.From the conducted research, administration web application built already fulfill the basic needs of the user. User can feel the effectiveness and efficiency in the Kiddy Baby Shop administration data processing process.

Abstract

Dengue fever is a disease that caused by dengue virus. This virus is transmitted into human body through mosquito bites, aedes aegypti and aedes albopictus. This kind of mosquito are mostly found in subtropical and tropical regions, including in Indonesia. Almost every year, cases of dengue fever occur in Indonesia. Government’s effort to prevent dengue fever have been carried out. Following the development of technology, the government began to save patient data through their own health institution, the community health centers.However, the stored data cannot produce useful information instantly. The data must go through series of processes first before it can become informastion. Data processing methods that can be used are neural network. Because neural network have one function that is prediction. Then, the prediction data can be entered into a digital map for the mapping process. Mapping with digital map that have colors and display the level of sufferers can be said to produce useful information. The result of this program is a website that can display maps in the form of digital map, with data obtained based on prediction results using neural network method. So that later this website can help the government to take preventive measures againts dengue fever.

Abstract

The development of information technology is currently growing very rapidly. One of which is how to use messenger application on mobile device. Nowadays, messenger is one of the applications that are used to communicate by most people. This thesis aims to create a messenger application that can communicate between mobile devices especially devices with the Android operating system.In the design and implementation of this application, there is a server side comprising: Openfire server that serves as a protocol in the exchange of messages and the Apache server that serves to accommodate the user data. As well as the client side comprising: user interface display applications. This application provides features such as login, registration, chat, create groups and invite friends or group.From the results of tests on various Android devices with different versions and brands like LG G4 , LG G2 , Samsung Galaxy S2 ,Sony Xperia SP and  Sony Xperia Z3 Compact the application run well on all devices. But for the view, the position of the layout as TextView , ImageView , videoview and also listview do not go well because of using density pixel (DP) so the size of each display device which has different pixel per inch (PPI)  will show different results.In addition on the device Samsung Galaxy S2 with Android 4.1.2 version  popup menu button located on the menu friends is not found.
