Abstract

Health monitoring is a major problem in the world today. Due to lack of proper health monitoring, patients can suffer serious health problems. There are many devices today to monitor the health of patients that health experts use to monitor their patients but because it is not integrated with IoT, this method can add to the burden of medical personnel to conduct examinations and cannot be done anytime, anywhere. This research was conducted to make it easier for a doctor and a relative of a person with heart problems to conduct surveillance in Real Time. The Arduino device will read each sensor and by using services from ThingSpeak and IFTTT, data readings can be received and visualized, then automatically recorded on Google Sheets so that they can be accessed either via the internet or mobile applications. The combination of IoT and Arduino is one way to introduce the IoT method. By utilizing IoT, monitoring can be made easier because it is not limited in space, real-time delivery of information also facilitates decision making in the event of a critical situation.

Abstract

CV. Karisma Motor is a private company that specialize in motorcycle selling and buying of one of well known brand in Indonesia. Up until now the forecasting process for stock buying from CV. Karisma Motor still does by using only estimeation based on past sales data. This makes buying process no fully effective because decision makings doesn’t have a firm ground. Therefore, to anticipate that problem a forecasting system is design so it can be used by CV. Karisma Motor to help decision making. The process for making this forecasting system is through a few step, the first step is to do a survey and need analysis, the second step is collecting sales data from the past year, the third step is creating flowchart and designing of entity relationship diagram, and then afterwadrs creating the database. Program creation is using Microsoft Visual Basic .NET 2010 for the programming languange and MySQL for the database, forecasting calculation is using ARIMA method. Based on system testing, the forecasting system can store goods data, calculate forecasting based on past sales data, store the result of forecasting that have been done, displays forecasting result that have been done before and error calculation to get smallest error value among three methods with average value from testing is 1,42.

Abstract

The computer center at Petra Christian University has not been able to measure the utilization of laptop space, so it cannot know the number of users who are using laptop space facilities. Despite the existence of a registration system in using these facilities, the number of student registration lists with the number of users who use the laptop room is not appropriate because there are students who do not register first. For this reason, the system for calculating the number of users uses background subtraction using the MOG2 and GMG methods so that it can help find out the number of people who use laptop room facilities.In this study will create a program to count the number of users by detecting people, and create a website program system to display data on the number of users. This system was created using C ++, and a website was created using PHP and MySQL databasesThe results of this study indicate that the lighting factor and frame resolution are very influential on the accuracy of the user's detection. The effect of detection lighting can be seen from the results of the confusion matrix which shows that what is detected mostly exceeds the number of users in the room. While the effect of resolution on detection can be seen from the results of F1 scores on one of the lighting videos that showed using a resolution of 1280x720 the results of the MOG2 method reached 68% and the GMG method reached 40%. After reducing the frame to 640x360, the average value of MOG2 reaches 86% and the GMG method reaches 67%.

Abstract

Film is one of the popular entertainment media in the community. The number of titles that have been released makes it difficult for people to find which movies they want to watch. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to have information about the film that will make it easier for the public to find films that fit the user's preferences, therefore the user needs a system that can provide movie recommendations.The movie recommendation system using User-based Collaborative Filtering is one method that is able to provide recommendations. K-mode Clustering can also be used as an additional accuracy of recommendations by grouping user preferences history.According to the results of the testing of the k-modes clustering method, the best number of clusters for K-Modes Clustering for film recommendations obtained using the Elbow Method and Silhouette Coefficient is k = 3. From the results of testing the accuracy of the recommendations with Mean Reciprocal Rank (MRR) generated average MRR of 0.17092270381865 for film recommendations with a data train and test ratio of 80%: 20% and an average MRR of 0.15072658511145 for film recommendations with a data train and test ratio of 60%: 40%. From the results of the two tests above, it can be concluded that the level of accuracy of the film recommendations according to the MRR is sufficient because the MRR is close to 0.

Abstract

The study of influenza virus is a very interesting needed topic to learn. In the learing process, high comprehension is because influenza  virus keeps on mutated. There is one way to undertand it easily is by using influenza virus learning media.This app will pack an information about infuenza virus by using interactive learning tools, where the players will actively play in the learning process,  starting from the information about flu burung, flu babi, and flu singapura. There is also a quiz to measure the ability of a user. From the questionnaire result and human computer interaction test, the application strongly supports the process of understanding the material. Therefore user’s interest in learning is increased, coupled with the easiness and user friendliness of application usage.

Abstract

This study aims to create a Blynk-based application as a controller for SmartRoom to reduce unnecessary electricity usage. As for the background of this writing because today almost all activities that humans do everyday are related to electricity usage. But there are also many people who use electricity powerfully. This excessive use of electricity can cause energy waste and increase electricity costs. With increasing electricity usage, savings can be made by turning off lights or electrical appliances that are not used through the help of the Internet of Things through Blynk-based applications.The making of this application is made using the interaction between the microcontoler WeMos D1 R2 which is connected with sensors and modules to detect data to be processed for SmartRoom. For applications using Blynk which is connected to the system and used to make it easier for users to control devices that are connected remotely.The results showed that in a trial period of 1 week between normal conditions and the SmartRoom system resulted in a power savings of 28% and could be realized with a reliability level of 100%.

Abstract

In order to ensure security measures, traffic violations are an important matter. One of the most traffic violations is the use of helmets on motorcycle riders. Therefore, a program was created that could help in identifying helmet users for motorcycle riders. In the process of identifying data, a problem that is often experienced is helmet characteristics. In this study a filter experiment will be conducted in order to recognize the characteristics of the helmet. This study uses 2 methods, You Only Look Once (YOLO) and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The YOLO method is used to find regions of motorbikes and motorbike riders. The CNN method is used to classify helmet users in motorcycle riders. The results of the CNN classification will be calculated using a confusion matrix in order to get the accuracy of the correct prediction. The program results from this study will identify helmet users on motorcyclists in the video. Accuracy obtained between motorcycle riders driving with helmets and without helmets is 70.49%.

Abstract

Mandarin is the dialect of Chinese spoken in the North and Southwest of Republic of China. International bussiness also prefer people who can speak more than one international language, which is other than English, so Mandarin become one of the language that many people search for. So many people in Indonesia who cannot speak Chinese especially children. Children usually not being taught to learn Chinese in school and the parents also cannot teach MandarinThis application helps people learn Chinese. This application have features such as Picture Guessing, Sound Guessing, Arrange the Sentence, Chinese Spelling, and Writing Chinese Character. Picture Guessing teach user about Mandarin using pictures. Sound Guessing teach user about Mandarin using sound. Arrange the Sentence teach user how to arrange Mandarin sentence based on English sentence or arrange English sentence based on Mandarin sentence. Chinese Spelling teach user how to pronounce Mandarin word correctly. Writing Chinese Character teach user how to write Mandarin character based on the word displayed.Through this application user teach user about Mandarin language about pictures and sounds, user can learn how to write Chinese character based on the word displed, user learn how to pronounce Chinese language correctly, user can learn how to arrange Mandarin sentence based on English question or arrange English sentence based on Chinese question

Abstract

Environmental pollution is increasing every day along with the increasing number of products and consumption behavior of the society in general. Things that must be done to overcome the increase in the volume of waste are to reduce the production of waste, especially inorganic types because it is very difficult to decompose and increasing society awareness to dispose of waste. Viewed from these two aspects, society need a system that is able to give them encouragement to dispose of wasteThe Android-based non-residual inorganic waste distribution application intended to help the owner in raising public awareness to dispose of waste, especially non-residual inorganic type. This application will be made using the Java programming language using Android Studio. This android-based application helps the admin to add as many drop post as possible so that it can reach the people in the city of Surabaya evenly. In addition, this application also records the submission process that has been confirmed by the confirmator also picked up waste by the courier so that the admin get the waste collected data.The test results show that this application runs well on devices with Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) but does not run well for Android 4.4.3 (KitKat) because some features can only run on Android 7.0.0 (Nougat) and above. This application runs the waste submission feature, the addition of the drop post, the notification feature, displays submission information, chat feature, and the navigation feature that makes it easy for the society to use the application so that it is expected to encourage the society to dispose of their inorganic waste.

Abstract

Game is an activity to find a new challenge or for having fun. Game have several genres like farming game, simulation, strategy, action, and many more. Each tipe has its own advantage and disadvantage like strategy genre is usually more challenging because its rather difficult hand have to stay focus to win. But other game like farming game is very fun but fell not challenging enough because usually farming game is very easy to play.Because of the difficulty reason, this game with farming and strategy genre have enemy that will attack the plants. Player also can protect the plants by killing enemy or by buying a tower that can attack enemy otomatically when an enemy come closer to the plants around that tower. This game is made by using Adobe Flash Professional CS6.From questionnaire average score 7.4, proofing that game with farming and strategy genre will become an interesting game that can be played.
