Abstract

This research was conducted to create training curriculum that can be used as supporting tool for Management trainee Program of PT X. The research is focused on two key research area of general competency and one key research area of particular competency. Curriculum is formed of five main components, which is objective, topic, method, media, evaluation. The objective was divided into general instructional objective dan particular instructional objective. There are fifty-eight topics that has been appointed and merged into thirteen training session. The methods are class room training, on the job training, job rotation, dan project assignment.The medias are demonstration, three dimensional (3D) object, visual media, projected still media, and projected motion media. The type of evaluation that will be done is written test, practice, presentation, and project assignment’s scoring.

Abstract

“X” Corporation always improve the quality and performance of all employees with provide training program. Training program that implemented at “X” Corporation based by Best Training Practice (BTP) method. One of the tools that are used in training is training module. Training modules must comply with criteria, that is have a cover, revision sheets, table of contents, objectives, programs, criteria, lesson plan, knowledge about operating a production process, and headers and footers that have been set by the company. Training module at Printing Processing, a total of six training modules are made and nine training modules are improved. Create and revision training module for Printing Processing that based by Best Training Practice (BTP) method be expected to support the training to attain an effective and efficient training.

Abstract

Abstract: PT Y is one of the companies in Surabaya engaged in manufacturing cigarattes. PT Y want to identify the waste so that it can be improved continuously. PT Y believed that the process has the potential to improve intra transportation process. Identification of waste to the process intra transportation especially performed on process delivery of PPIC TAC and PMD. The method used to identify the waste is value stream mapping. Value stream mapping that aimed to describe the process as a whole and reduce the lead time of a process. Waste that was found in the process of intra transportation is waiting, transportation and overprocessing. Proposals made reduce the lead time of each process. Lead time delivery of tobacco and clove from PPIC TAC to PMD successfully reduce by 2.56%. Lead time delivery of sliced tobacco from PMD to SKM successfully reduced by 46.73%. Lead time delivery of sliced tobacco from PMD to SKT successfully reduced by 2.59%.

Abstract

PT. Insera Sena is a bicycles assembly company. The company produces its own brand bicycles as well as an original equipment manufacturer. One of the issues in the PT. Insera Sena is dead-stock. The dead stock arises due to huge variety of bicycles components, incompatible components, and other cases. In this reseach we proposed a solution to prevent the incompatibility components problem. We proposed compatibility maps. Those maps consist of grouping part tables. Moreover, using the compatibility maps, we proposed a software for simplifying choosing components in the bicyle design process. The compatibility maps have been evaluated by RND division and OEM division and they are relevant to the company needs.

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis are to analyzing the change and improvement of company work system and culture through the fast start and 5R implementation at SPP KRW. The aim for fast start implementation are developing zero loss mindset and 100% employee ownership capabilities. 5R culture improvements are given to for completing company KPI target and supporting the capabilities development of zero loss mindset. Actual data observation shows that only 52% of fast start key principles area implemented and the 5R score at SPP KRW is 2,41 at 2018 first week, which is below the KPI target of 3. Changes and improvement through the fast start implementation are done in 3 steps and for the 5R in 5 steps, which is refer to each “R”. Changes and improvement implementation has improving the fast start implementation progress to 86% and improving 5R average score with 0,06 point at 2018 15th week. The results of research concluding that the capabilities of zero loss mindset and 100% employee ownership are implemented at SPP KRW work system by the fast start project. The result for the 5R improvement are showing the rising trend of 5R score and supporting the zero loss mindset capabilities building.

Abstract

Evaluation communicaton questionnaire has an important role in improving the internal department working performance because it can dig criticisms, suggestions and constructive feedback to each department. PT. XYZ is not currently using any evaluation questionnaire to dig internal department feedback. The purpose of this research is to design communication evaluation questionnaire to  achieve feedback from another department. The technique that used in this study is semi-structured interview to the respondents who selected using judgment sampling method. Analysis techniques and data processing done with the existing coding assistance in Microsoft Excel to generate descriptive data in the form of feedback between departments. Feedback for the department is divided into two types, namely strength and opportunity for improvement point. Strength point is the strength of a department that must be maintained and enhanced, while opportunity for improvement point points should be used as a reflection to improve the department for the better future.

Abstract

PT. X adalah perusahaan jasa yang bergerak dalam bidang transportasi yaitu jasa angkutan umum berupa bus. Perusahaan memiliki ± 26 armada bus. Rute bus yang dilayani adalah Surabaya-Jember dan Jember-Denpasar. Perusahaan PT. X ingin meningkatkan mutu pelayanannya dengan merenovasi bus bisnis AC menjadi bus eksekutif.Analisis teknis di PT. X dilakukan untuk mendukung dan mengetahui teknis kebutuhan dari proyek renovasi bus yang akan dilakukan. Analisis dilakukan dengan melakukan survei ke beberapa terminal untuk mengetahui siapa pasar ingin dituju. Aspek teknis juga dilakukan dengan merubah struktur organisasi perusahaan dengan penambahan beberapa manajer dan staff, pembuatan sistem gaji karyawan, pembuatan BOM bus dilakukan untuk  mengetahui bahan baku yang dibutuhkan merenovasi menjadi bus eksekutif,  pembuatan jadwal proses renovasi bus, pembuatan lantai kerja kerja untuk mendukung proses renovasi agar lebih sistematis dan efektif, dan perhitungan biaya renovasi. Biaya yang dibutuhkan untuk merenovasi fisik bus adalah Rp 1.299.500.000 untuk 10 bus. Biaya perijinan trayek bus baru untuk bus eksekutif adalah Rp 250.000.000,- untuk 10 bus. Biaya operasional selama periode renovasi karena bus yang beroperasi hanya 8 bus maka biaya operasional yang dibutuhkan adalah Rp 785.885.000 untuk 8 bus,sedangkan jika periode renovasi selesai maka biaya operasional per bulan yang dibutuhkan adalah Rp 809.546.000,- untuk 10 bus.

Abstract

PT A is a manufacturer company which produces cigarette. PT A wants to do continuous improvement by keeping on reducing waste in S department. Value Stream Mapping (VSM) is a method that has been used to identify value added activity and non value added activity (waste) in that company.Based on the current value stream mapping of brand Y, there are 3 types of wastes which are inventory, transportation, and waiting. The proposed improvements will reflect in the future value stream mapping and reduce the total lead time by 5.82 %.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of integrated production planning to PPIC Department. Main problems of PT. FSCM Manufacturing Indonesia were the high cost of Heat Treatment Workstation and the loss of control from PPIC Department to manufacturing area. The high cost of Heat Treatment Workstation caused by the setup time/ dandori time of each type of component being processed. The daily production load resulted in repetition of setup time/ dandori time. The loss of control from PPIC Department to manufacturing area also caused higher level of WIP components resulted in the holding cost of this WIP components. Improvement given was to implement new production planning system with daily production load around 10 days in Heat Treatment Workstation and take a control to PPIC Department in manufacturing area .The results showed that integrated production planning to PPIC Department could reduce manufacturing cost of Heat Treatment Workstation and reduce the WIP levels. The reduction of production cost at Heat Treatment Workstation is about Rp. 236.448.747,00. The reduction of WIP levels could give the potential benefit around  Rp. 2.984.382,53.

Abstract

The base of continuous improvement activities to ensure the company's survival is the overall implementation of the 5S. 5S is a method of organizing and maintaining work environment intensively, i.e. sort, straighten, shine, standardize, and sustain. 5S is very important because the working environment will be more comfortable and safe so that it can increase the productivity and quality of work for employees. The 5S program must be well designed because the actual implementation of 5S is quite easy to do, but to make it a habit or culture requires more effort. Design of the 5S program at PT. X is done with a 3S pilot project in a small scope first, in the HR Division. The concept is designed at this stage, starting from making sort, straighten, and shine criteria; evaluation method in the form of an audit; to make a survey to find out employee responses to the 5S program that has taken place in the HR Division. Furthermore, the implementation of the 5S program must have a clear standard so that later it can be applied in a large scope, therefore the 5S program documents are designed which include standard operating procedures (SOP), red label, audit forms, and assessment forms.
