Abstract

PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (PT TMMIN) in 2014 is preparing the implementation of new engine type TR-Kai. Additional types of engine TR-Kai need additional type of new components too. Additional types of TR-Kai component means need additional space for placement, but the problem is unavailable space. The supply system design method includes layout change, equipment (material handling) and also system (works cycle) which is delivered well. The countermeasure idea is to change the material handling usage and also implementation direct supply system. Direct supply system in regular working time has reduced lead time almost 2 days of safety stock. Direct supply reduces 33.3% of inefficient handling, reduce hoist usage (safety matter) between 80,2% up to 93.4% each day, and also reduce 81.5% of forklift usage (safety matter). The evaluation result of this system is able to reduce 33.3% of manpower supply and monthly cost saving up to 46.2% with a Break Event Point (BEP) during 4 years 7.5 months.

Abstract

PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Sepanjang is an animal feed production company. Schedulling that is done by PPIC Departement focus only on animal feed code and quantity. Schedulling animal feed for every pellet machine do not arranged yet, so the setup time for every machine is high. Schedulling system updates had been done with LRPT (longest remaining processing time) method. Schedulling system that had been made can reduce the production setup time and time to finish all animal feed. The time to finish all animal feed can be reduced 4,87% after implemented schedulling system. Different time for company with schedulling system can produce 124,2 tonnage animal feed. Percentage setup machine decrease 5,88% for machine 1, 35,71% for machine 2 and 50% for machine 4. Percentage setup machine increase 22,22% for machine 3.

Abstract

PT. X merupakan perusahaan dengan produk yang dihasilkan adalah circuit breaker. Tahun ini PT. X berencana untuk memproduksi produk baru, dimana produk baru ini merupakan produk yang akan digunakan pada otomotif. Produk perusahaan digunakan pada otomotif harus memiliki sertifikasi ISO/TS 16949:2009 untuk menjamin kualitas dari produk. Akhir Tahun 2012, PT. X akan melakukan sertifikasi ISO/TS 16949:2009.Pemenuhan persyaratan Juli 2012 yang telah dilakukan oleh PT. X sebesar 74%. Persyaratan pada klausul 7 dan klausul 8 mengharuskan perusahaan untuk membuat MSA (Measurement System Analysis) sebagai record untuk kehandalan alat ukur dan operator dan SPC (Statistical Process Control) untuk mengendalikan proses produksi. Dilakukan validasi alat ukur dan operator, serta mendesain sistem pengendalian kualitas untuk produk baru di PT. X.  Hasil dari MSA menunjukkan bahwa alat ukur yang digunakan adalah reliable. Hasil dari SPC juga menunjukkan bahwa proses terkendali dan memiliki indeks kapabilitas mesin dan proses yang memenuhi standar industri.Hasil analisa akhir pada Desember 2012 menunjukkan bahwa PT. X telah 100% memenuhi persyaratan pada setiap klausul dan juga telah melakukan audit internal, sehingga sudah siap dilakukan sertifikasi ISO/TS 16949:2009.

Abstract

Ecogreen Oleochemicals is one of the companies engaged in the field of oleochemicals and  produces some olechemicals products. Company has been providing some trainings held by Human Resources Department based on user’s request. The user’s request is not effective because it is not suitable with training needs of employee. Therefore, using  job description approach into training matrix can define the training needs of an employee clearly. Training matrix consists of technical competency and knowledge. Total of training matrix in Manufacturing Division are 68 which divided into 19 in Maintenance Department, 15 in Production EOB 1, 8 in Production EOB 2, 4 in Quality Assurance, 4 in Utility, 18 in Engineering. Knowledge mapping will be used as a guidance for Human Resources Department to arrange the training

Abstract

In this paper we develop decay inventory with quantity unit discounts models. The models are built by considering purchasing and saving cost. The models are compared with Wagner Within model. The analyzes are conducted using a sensitivity analysis to changes in deteriorating rate, setup cost, inventory cost, purchase cost and changes in the number of demand. The model analysis is done by generating 50 random data. Result from the study shows that savings cost model 1.4% is better than purchasing cost model. The cost of Wagner Within model is 1.5% lower than the model with purchasing cost and  not significantly different than the model that consider the savings cost.

Abstract

PT. X, one of the leading tobacco companies in Indonesia, needs competent and good quality of human resources to achieve their goal. PT. X has an Operation Training Department. This department is responsible to provide trainings for the operators, production technicians (prodtech), and mechanics. Therefore, training modules based on Best Training Practices (BTP) method is needed. There are four training modules that have been developed and three training modules that have been revised on the secondary processing plant. The four modules that have been developed were PACKER F Training Module for Operators, PACKER F Training Module for Prodtechs, PACKER F Training Module for Mechanics and MAKER M Training Module for Mechanics. The three modules that have been revised were Basic Training Module for Mechanics, MAKER P Training Module for Operator, and MAKER P Training Module for Prodtech. The training modules that were constructed will help training processes going well and improve the employees’ performance.

Abstract

PT X is one of the biggest manufacturer companies in Indonesia. Achieving one of its mission—continuous improvement, PT X keeps on making the new innovations and solution breakthroughs for its business process. At this opportunity, the improvement will focus on the procurement and purchasing departments, responsible for the company’s daily transactions.The first stage in Value Stream Mapping is Current State Mapping, providing the activities of the current condition and their lead time. Next step is analysis, where all the wastes are identified and solutions are developed. Lastly, Future State Mapping is the continuation of the previous stage—generating the new process involving the new lead time.As the Value Stream Mapping is developed, it is found 3 waste categories, i.e. over processing, waiting, and unnecessary movement. Solutions are given to reduce those wastes and will reflect in the future state mapping. It is believed that the future mapping will shorten process’ lead time of the pre-purchase requisition by 33.25% and after purchase requisition by 28.17% for FSS and 23.53% for M&S category.

Abstract

PT “X” is one of the hand-rolled manufacturers cigarettes which using manual process to produce the cigarettes. There were no standardization for verify the production tools. So that every operators could verify those tools in different manners and in fact it caused problems in the production floor. Therefore, a standardization procedures, which is align with the company specification, is an obligatory. As the result of this work, we designed 21 modules for all brands manufactured by PT “X”. Moreover, the study successfully establishes standard procedure, verification form, and verification report which can help maintenance operator to perform production tools verification in every locations.

Abstract

The purposes of this thesis are designing a planned maintenance and man power planning in the maintenance department of PT X Previously, the PT X used breakdown and cor­rec­tive maintenance. The maintenance procedures will be revised into corrective main­tenance and when continuous pro­duction system is executed, corrective & preventive maintenance will be applied. For defining those procedures, first we identified the machines’ failure and redesign­ed the production system. Additionally, we propose four level of man power planning based on their skill and company management want it divide into four level.

Abstract

PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Balaraja (PT CPI Balaraja) is one of feed processing companies. PT CPI Balaraja had installed new SAP system, Production Online, and replaced its manual machines into automatics machines. Therefore, the old standard operating procedures are no longer suitable with the current situation. Updating those procedures are a must and this work became purpose of this thesis, particularly in Maintenance Department and Warehouse & PPIC Department. The updating procedures includes SOP (Standard Operational Procedures), WI (Work Instructions), and Forms. In overall, there are 7 SOP, 41 WI, and 12 Forms revision in Maintenance Department. Additionally, thera are 5 SOP, 33 WI, and 33 Forms revision in Warehouse & PPIC Department.
