Abstract

Hartono Frame is Frames company that has a problems about delays in order production due to the absence of order production scheduling control and the amount of time wasted due to a lot of movement to find and repair tools. Then there is the loss of finished products in the warehouse due to the messy arrangement of finished goods so that employees forget to put the place and goods are sometimes tucked in a pile of other goods. Improvements made using the DMAIC method by identifying problems, measuring problems, finding root causes, dealing with existing problems, and controlling the improvements that have been given. Improvements made are design of job descriptions, design of production schedules, and given 5S method for the assembly room and warehouse so that the assembly process is easy to do and the goods in the warehouse are easy to find. The results obtained after the repair are an increase in effectiveness in the accuracy of finished products according to the previous order deadline which was 70% to 90% and an increase in the effectiveness of storing goods in the finished goods warehouse which used to lose an average of 12 items to 6 per day.

Abstract

Occupational health is an important aspect to be considered by company. Workers, while producing food, cannot be separated from risk of getting occupational diseases. This company wants to implement ‘Zero Diseases’ program and requires documented monitoring and relevant control methods for occupational diseases arising from work activities. Assessing a Health Risk Assessment might be considered the most appropriate way to answer the company’s need related to documenting types, risks categories, and appropriate control methods of related occupational diseases. The method used in data collection is direct interviews, questionnaires, and annual employee’s health monitoring data from the company. The data is processed according to the needs of each type of occupational diseases. The risk categories are grouped based on a risk matrix. Sums up low risk occupational diseases as much as 59%, medium risk as much as 37%, and high risk as much as 4%. Control methods are included and adjusted to the types of occupational diseases and based on the principal of hierarchy of controls. All types of occupational diseases have administrative controls, eight of them have Personal Protective Equipmemt (PPE), and one of them has engineering controls.

Abstract

Logistics is a business that will continue to grow, because it is needed in the business world to deliver goods at the right time and quantity, and at low costs. PT. X is a logistics and shipping company. One of the activities that run in the logistics and shipping business is container haualge. The haulage process is considered still less effective and efficient. The current level of productivity as measured by the number of ritase per day is low. This is caused by the haulage process that can not be detected in real time, impractical communication media, queues, and unavailability of trucks. The trucking haulage application is created and developed so non-value added activities will be minimized or eliminated, so the haulage productivity dan be increased. This study discusses the development of a trucking haulage application in phase 1.1. The implementation result of the application shows that the haulage productivity increased from 7,36 ritases per day to 7,93 ritases per day. Two sample t-test shows that the p-value obtained is 0,033 (< 0,05), so it can be concluded that the trucking haulage application can increase the productivity of container discharge at PT. X Surabaya.

Abstract

PT X is a circuit breaker company that produces various types of products. There are several production segments and each segment are used to produce one product type. PT X has conducted an evaluation of the facility layout in segment I, and found the need to improve the facility layout. Shortcomings of the current layout are the arrangement of several facilities, which located outside of the available area for segment I. The arrangement of new production layout, however, should not reduce production output. Production facility re-layout is costly; therefore, simulation is used to analyze the proposed layout. Simulation approach is used to compare the initial layout against the proposed layout. The simulation model was built using Promodel 10 software, with a simulation time of 22.5 hours and replicated for 25 times. The proposed layout is derived using an evolutionary algorithm method, with adjustment in respect to some constraints from the initial layout. The proposed layout can answer the needs of segment I, because there are no facilities that exceed the specified area and result in more products in a day than the initial model.

Abstract

PT. X is a company that dwelves in shipping and logistic (shiplog) business. As time go on and world change, PT. X follow the trend and released an application named mySPIL in 2017. In order to increase the userbase of mySPIL, marketing department implemented referral program in 2020. Aside from reaching to the new digital market, PT. X also wants to increase their commercial division service quality by reducing the amount of lead time for their processes. Research was done to reduce the lead time required by customer service, sales, and trade department. Research was done by identifying seven wastes, searching for root causes using five whys analysis, and mapping lead time using value stream mapping. Suggestions given to reduce wastes were deemed possible to reduce lead time on commercial division and referral program implemented by marketing department managed to create a significant difference in new relation growth for PT. X.

Abstract

The research conducted in logistics company that provides door to door delivery services. This company is expanding the consolidator building where the goods handling process is carried out. Along with the expansion of the consolidator, company wants to design a sorting room layout that can minimize the occurrence of missroute goods and increase the effectiveness of the process at the consolidator. Company also wants to evaluate the needs of its operational and administrative workforce. The design of the consolidator layout is done by taking into account the number of destinations of the sorting room, the amount of aisle needed, and the amount of sorting space based on the volume of goods. The layout design produces 3 sorting areas with a total of 115 sorting rooms. Evaluation of workforce needs is done by work sampling and calculation of full time equivalent. The determination of operational workforce needs is then followed up with a process simulation with the help of standard time calculations. The result of the calculation is to reduce 3 workers who are projected to be able to reduce labor cost by IDR 100.811.501,- annually for the company.

Abstract

PT. X is a manufacturing company engaged in printing flexible packaging since 2017. PT. X produces plastic packaging as finished product packaging, one example of which is making packaging for food & beverages products. PT. X does not yet have an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3). The first step in realizing SMK3 at PT. X is designing a hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control (HIRARC) document. HIRARC documents identify risks, provide risk assessments, and determine risk controls. HIRARC document design using observation and interview methods. The results of the HIRARC document show that there are 15 potential hazards, with 2 cases in the extreme category, 4 cases in the high category, 8 cases in the moderate category, and 1 in the low category. The proposed risk controls are 25 controls consisting of technical design (9 cases), administrative (11 cases), and PPE (5 cases). The design of the HIRARC document is expected to reduce the risk of hazards in the warehouse and office area. The estimated risk rating after risk control is carried out is 3 cases in the high category, 7 cases in the moderate category, and 5 cases in the low category.

Abstract

The measurement regarding the service that government has provide in Mama Papua marketplace to improve the economic which aims on the satisfaction of the vendors about the facilities. This measurement focus on how the people or Papuan mothers could experience great service to create great environmental working place. One of the methods that use for the measurement which is  analysis.  Analysis is the measurement that use to find the  between the performance of a variable and consumer expectations. This shows that it could analyze the difference between the level of interest and the perception of the vendors toward the Mama Papua market service. Moreover, another method that use for the measurement is IPA that stands for importance performance analyze. IPA is the method of measurement that used to determine the level of importance and satisfaction of the vendors in the Mama Papua marketplace by using a quadrant. Optimistically, the facilities should reach the expectation to improve the services at Mama Papua marketplace in Mimika district according to the results.

Abstract

CV. XYZ is a manufacturing company that processes plastic as raw materials into household products. Form interviews with the company, it was revealed that the company has not planned to design ISO 9001:2015 because it has not been committed. This study aims to identify and complete the documents and deficiencies required for Iso 9001:2015 certification. Documents and data needed for research were obtained by interviewing the owner of the company, workers in the company and observation. The first step is an analysis of conformity to the ISO to find out what percentage of document readiness the company has . The second step is to design the required clause. The initial gap was found to be 8%. Then the appropiate clause will be directly inserted into the new design and the unfulfilled ones will be redesigned. The design is carried out for clauses 4 to 9. After design, the final result of compliance with ISO 9001:2015 is 83%.

Abstract

PT. Trias Sentosa, Tbk is one of the biggest major manufacturer of flexible packaging film manufacturer producing BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) & BOPET (Biaxially Oriented Polyester) Film Products. PT. Trias Sentosa, Tbk has a worldwide sales and distribution network, from Indonesia to Asian countries and the Middle East. Warehouse layout management should be of a concern for companies. PT. Trias Sentosa, Tbk in this case, hasn’t applied a measured method to managing their finished goods warehouse layout. A study is conducted to improve the warehouse layout using ABC analysis method. ABC analysis is used to compare the displacement flow of goods in its current layout and the improved state. ABC analysis method are done by analyzing the delivery frequency of finished goods and the finished goods warehouse’s dimensions. The expected result should be that the best layout has the least total displacement value, and that layout is going to selected and applied.
