Abstract

The results of this study focus on policy issues, guidelines, implementation, and expectations for community based lake utilization in order to sustainable lakes in Bekasi City. This paper seeks to analyze the use of lakes, both in terms of tourism benefits, as well as from water reservoir and flood control efforts through policy analysis. Evaluation of the program used by the researchers is Grindle evaluation model that includes the evaluation component policy formulation, programs implementation, resources allocation and target of outcomes. The evaluation related to Water Resources management policy and guidance as stated in Act no. 11 of 1974 on Irrigation and Lokal Regulation No. 13 Year 2011 on Bekasi City Year 2011 up to 2031. Evaluation of programs related to normalization process activities, security of assets/ maintenance, development of water tourism and flood control. Evaluation of resources allocation related to financing activities. Target Outcomes evaluation is related to policy outcome which includes maintenance of water resource asset and flood control. This analysis tries to approach a strategy to consider: sustainable lake tourism management that benefits all parties, both government and society. The results of the analysis show the need for collaborative management among stakeholders (government, lokal government and lokal communities) in sustainable management of the site. The financing is not only the responsibility of the government but can be pursued through public private parthnership. Keywords: evaluation, policy, program, nature tourism, collaborative management

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has evoked a new teaching paradigm and the incorporation of such technology into models of teaching has been highly appreciated in order to achieve certain learning goals such as students’ critical thinking. This study investigates and examines the difference in critical thinking skills of students taught through the flipped classroom, pure online and direct instruction models. The method of the study is quasi-experiment implemented to students of English majors of Halu Oleo University. A total of 96 students participated as samples sitting in three different classes. Each class was attended by an equal number of 32 samples. Data were collected by giving samples a critical thinking skills test after the model implementation. The data were analyzed by means of two-way analysis of variance. Results of the study show that there is a significant difference of students’ critical thinking skills after the implementation of the three models of teaching and the students from the flipped classroom is observed to have higher critical thinking skills. Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of organizational communication and job involvement on teacher work satisfaction. This research was conducted at Vocational high School in West Cikarang sub-district through survey method with analysis of path analysis data. The sample of this study is 104 Teachers with civil servant status. The results showed that there are: 1) organizational communication Direct influence on job satisfaction; 2) job involvement Direct influence on job satisfaction; and 3) organizational communication Direct influence on job involvement. Thus, teacher job satisfaction is influenced by organizational communication and job involvement. This research recommends to the principal of Vocational high School in West Cikarang sub-district to apply good organizational communication in their environment and to fulfill the expectation for Vocational high School teachers to get job satisfaction well then teacher work involvement in school environment should be better. Abstract

This research was conducted in Junior high school NSQ Cirebon West Java, which aims to know and to obtain an overview of leadership character education for student. This research was conducted in June to October 2017. The approach used is a qualitative approach with descriptive method. Data collection was done through an interview, observation, and study documentation. A source of data from this research comes from principal's and supports several informants is teacher, and student. Teamwork formed by the principal's consist of teachers, committee and parents. The planning of leadership character building of students in Junior high school NSQ is done through the mechanism of work meeting at the beginning of the school year. Organizing the guidance of student leadership character in Junior high school NSQ is done by making organizational structure that contains the roles and responsibilities in carrying out the guidance of student leadership character. The implementation of leadership character building of students in Junior high school NSQ is done through intra-school students organization program, Scouting and Basic Training of Student Leadership. The supervision of the leadership character building of the students in Junior high school NSQ is done directly by the principal and the board of the Foundation. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to look for the effectiveness of teaching styles on learning outcomes seen sprinting skills of motor skills. The method used is experiment with a 2x3 factorial design treatment. Population research is College of teacher training and education students that amounted to 12 classes, conten 360 person. The sample was selected using simple random sampling. The study was conducted during one month with 16 times meeting. Research instrument using sprint test and rubric. The results of the study concluded that: (1) There are differences in skill scamper between teaching style inclusion, training and reciprocal as a whole, (2) There are differences in skill scamper between motor skills and high motor abilities low overall, (3) There is an interaction between style teaching and motor skills against the skills to sprint overall. Abstract

This study examines the influence of work culture, competence, and career development on the performance of administrative staff at the University of Palangka Raya. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey methods and path analysis techniques. Results have shown that: 1) work culture has a direct effect on performance, 2) competency has a direct effect on performance, 3) career development has a direct effect on performance, 4) work culture has a direct effect on career development, and 5) competence directly affects development career. The implication of this study is that an increase in work culture, competence, and career development can improve performance. Abstract

Lecturer performance expected to produce a professional lecturer and has good performance in implementing Tridharma college. The purpose of this study was to evaluate performance of Lecturer in (1) Education and Teaching, (2) Reseach, and (3) Performance of Community Service. This study was the evaluation of the program. This evaluation of Research lecturers performance, performance evaluation use model of 360 degrees (360 Degree Performance Appraisal Model). In general evaluation model aims to measure whether the performance lecturers carry out Tridharma accordance with the standard or predefined performance criteria. Abstract

The objective of the research is to obtain information about the influence of group cohesiveness and team effectiveness on teachers' productivity of state primary school at Cipondoh districts in Tangerang City. The research was conducted to all of state primary school teachers at Cipondoh districts in Tangerang City by using a survey method with path analysis applied in testing hypothesis. The number 98 teachers as sample was selected by using Slovin formula. The result of the study reveals that: (1) there is direct effect of group cohesiveness on teachers' productivity. (2) there is direct effect of team effectiveness on teachers' productivity. (3) there is direct effect of group cohesiveness on team effectiveness. Therefore to enhance teachers' productivity can be carried out by group cohesiveness and team effectiveness. Keywords: Group cohesiveness, team effectiveness, and teachers' productivity

Abstract

This study is aimed to create a learning media that can improve student’s learning outcomes in the subject of “Table Manner” focusing on “Table Setting”. This study was applying “Borg and Gall research development model”. The subject of this study was 65 Navy Enlisted trainees in Housekeeping. By treating a different way from a controlled class, a taped video containing subject matter was mainly delivered in an experimental class. And a posttest was conducted to clarify the final result of learning for both type of classes. It has been proven that posttest result of an experimental class has a higher mean than in a controlled class. Researcher believed that the use of video as a learning media boost trainees potential to achieve the learning outcomes. In other words, the developed product of learning video would potentially increase trainee understanding toward the subject matter.
