Abstract

The objective of this research is to comprehend contribution of ISO 9001:2008 in improving school quality management. It is a qualitative research with a case study method conducted in 115 Junior High School, Jakarta since February to May 2013. The data were collected through participant observation using interview, observation, document study, and recording. The data analysis and interpretation indicates that (1) continuous improvement is a cycle of plan, do, check, and act to achieve quality; (2) work process, teamwork, and communication are needed by team work in achieving the quality; (3) training is held by the school to improve the quality of human resources. Those aspects done effectively since school management of 115 Junior High School implemented ISO 9001:2008. The findings lead to the recommendation that (1) continuous improvement should be done though not monitored by ISO; (2) increasing commitment to team work; (3) monitoring and evaluation on training should be done internally and externally. It is also recommended for education stakeholders to improve accountability in assessing standard of education.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the direct effect of interpersonal communication and discipline on supervisor productivity. The study was conducted at Education Department Bekasi Regency. The research was conducted using survey method with qualitatif approach an path analysis technique. Based on the result of data analysis in this research it is concluded: (1)the interpersonal communication have positive direct effect to productivity, (2)the discipline have positif direct effect to productivity, (3)the interpersonal communicaton have positive direct effect to discipline. The supervisor productivity can be improved by improvement the interpersonal communication and discipline.

Abstract

In implementation MBS is needed strong leadership, that is have ability move resources to reach study target by applying “Four E’s of Leadership” (Energy, Energize, Edge, & Execution). Implementation MBS needs involvement of all resources that have ability empowering and willingness for used by school chronically by applying approach of quality problem solution (integrated management problem solving). Quality Improvement institute education must began with strategic activity of plan compilation that entangle all stakeholderses that exist in school or stakeholders that can used by the party of school. Strategic plan Compilation school that entangle stakeholders either through internal or external must apply risk management bases on ISO 31000 and biru ocean strategy.

Abstract

Objective research that will produce research findings that can be used or followed-up by elements related to the investigation. In this case the researchers conducted a study in coastal areas of Jakarta on matters relating to public participation to education. In this study researchers get research findings that (1) community participation as a facilitator in providing education in primary schools Marunda,(2) community participation as a motivator on the education in state primary schools Marunda, (3) community participation as partners in the education in state primary schools Marunda. These findings are based on the condition of the people who have a background of economic, social, and educational levels. This research hope can give up the educational levels in coastal areas.

Abstract

The objectives of this research was to understand comprehensively the management of education implemented in the package C equivalent education. It was a qualitative research with a case study method (explanatory case study) conducted in Class IIA Prison of Bekasi in 2012. Focus of this research was management of education in package C equivalent education with three sub focuses. They are: mechanism of planning, mechanism of decision making and process of team work. The data were collected through participant observation using interview, observation, document study, and recording. The data analysis and interpretation indicates that (1) planning is arranged with coordination of both team work, but the authorities in charge to formally design the plans is SKB Kab. Bekasi, the panning used short range/short term planning which more focus on operational study and directional. The plan was a standing plan; (2) decision making process used group decision making, where mostly driven by consensus of both team work with a very simple way, not time consuming, relax situation and without intervention of both head of institution; (3) team work is formed formally by joint team work consist of representative of SKB and Class IIA Prison of Bekasi, team work run effectively due to very rare conflict found; the team had 1 year pre-relationship before it formed officially, this made the team very dynamic, tolerance. The findings lead to recommendation to maintain this joint team work in order to the sustainable package C equivalent education will still continue. It’s also recommended that some improvement needs tobe taken.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the effects of leadership, job satisfaction, work motivation and organization commitment on the middle manager performance of public hospitals. The research was conducted at the public hospitals in Jakarta and Padang, West Sumatera. The sample size was 75 middle managers at M. Djamil, Fatmawati and Persahabatan hospitals by random sampling technique. The data were analyzed by descriptive, regression and path analysis methods. The results showed the followings: 1) there is a significant direct effect of the leadership on the job satisfaction and work motivation and 2) there was also a significant direct effect of job satisfaction and work motivation on the organization commitment and manager performance. 3) there is a significant indirect effect of leadership, the organization commitment and manager performance on the job satisfaction and work motivation. To get improvement of the middle managers performance of public hospitals, the research result may be used as the consideration.

Abstract

The study aims to obtain empirical data about the presence or absence of a strong and weak linkage between the independent variable authority and decicion making with the dependent variable managerial effectiveness principle on senior high school North Jakarta. The research method used in this research is survey. The sample is 52 respondents taken by proporsional random sampling. The study was conducted to senior high school principlals in North Jakarta. The result of the study pointed out that: (1) there is a direct and significant influence of Authority with managerial effectiveness, (2) there is a direct and significant influence of decision making with managerial effectiveness and (3) there is a direct and significant influence authority with decision making.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to obtain the influence of self concept and discipline on work effectiveness of the State Senior High School teachers in East Flores District. The research was conducted by using a survey method with path analysis technique in testing hypothesis. The sample size was 112 teachers, were selected randomly. The results of the research are as follows: first, there is a positive influence directly self concept on effectiveness work; second, there is a positive influence directly discipline on effectiveness work; third, there is a positive influence directly self concept on discipline. The findings lead to the recommendation for the State Senior High School teachers in East Flores District to increase their work effectiveness by increasing self concept and discipline. It is also recommended that principals must support the teachers’ efforts to increase self concept, discipline and work effectiveness.

Abstract

Local government Kabupaten Karimun contend thats improvement of human resource quality (SDM) is priority of area development to competitive ability, investment and employment in order to national development. Resources Development that with quality must cover development competitive SDM, with character, development as the citizen Indonesia that can esteem religion and cultural “kebhinekaan”, human being, fatherland love, democratic and fair. To develop SDM are referred as, become duty of educator energy to be able to their patterned thinking fox. Expected educator is educator that have energy mental combatant that can form student that independence, think, personality (be, trusted, honesty), work ethics, clever and skillful according to concept of archipelagic country development for example grow maritime knowledge for society and government in order to development Indonesia oceanic orientation; and improved human resource capacities that with vision of oceanic pass by development of oceanic science and technology.

Abstract

This Research is made to determine (1) the relationship between managerial skills with Head of Competence Skills productivity (2) the relationship of control activity to the Head of Competence Skills productivity (3) the relationship between managerial and control skills along with the Head of Competence Skills productivity. The research methodology that has been used was correlation approach survey. In this study, 145 Head of Skill Competency in selected SMK have been used as a sample by using simple random sampling techniques (simple random sampling). This research conducted in Jakarta area. Based on the description to hypothesis test, the research findings can be outlined as followed: (1) there is a positive relationship between managerial skills with the productivityof the Head of Competence Skills (2) there is a control relationship with the productivity of Head Competency Skills (3) there is a positive relationship between managerial ability andcontrol alongwith the Head of Competence Skills productivity. The implication of this study is an attempt of improving the productivity of the Head of Skill Competency that can be done through improved managerial and controlskills.
