Abstract

The objectives of this study were to analyze the mediating role of deviant behavior on the influence of organizational culture and ethical climate on employee performance. This study was conducted on 112 government-owned bank employees in Manado, using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. This study indicates that organizational culture and ethical climate have a significant positive effect on employee performance. Organizational culture and ethical climate also have a significant negative effect on deviant behavior. However, behavior does not have a significant effect on employee performance. Deviant behavior also does not mediate the influence of organizational culture and ethical climate on employee performance. This study places deviant behavior as a mediating variable on organizational culture and ethical climate on employee performance. An important finding from this study is that behavior does not play a role in improving employee performance, nor does it play a mediator between organizational culture or ethical climate to employee performance.

Abstract

The current condition of the Indonesian economy is far different from that of the economy ten years ago. One of the differences in the structure and construction of the Indonesian economy compared to 10 years ago is the rapid development of the digital economy and the 4.0 industrial revolution. This study examines the relationship between Islamic Leadership and SME Performance with the Mediation of Innovation Work Behavior and Financial Technology in the Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneurs Community. This type of research uses an explanatory research method. All members of the Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneurs Community, with a sample of 100 entrepreneurs, were among the population in this report. The research method used is the Smart-PLS method. The findings of this study demonstrate that through the mediation of innovative work behavior, Islamic leadership impacts SME performance. So it is hoped that Muslim entrepreneurs can improve this innovative behavior with broader insights and an open attitude to change. It is expected that further research will expand the discussion by adding other variables that have not been studied in this study and also bring up research novelty.

Abstract

Investment is one of the most crucial decisions that a company must create to achieve higher financial performance and to maintain long-term sustainability. This study predicts that two significant factors determine corporate investment, i.e., the firms' corporate governance and capital structure. The article also assumes that companies that are aware and engage in environmental programs would find it much easier to gain investors'. This study used 39 units of analysis of 13 manufacturers listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange that received a good ranking in PROPER during the 2016-2018 period and analyzed with structural equation modeling (SEM). This study finds that corporate governance is negatively related to the capital structure but positively related to corporate investment. However, the capital structure does not affect corporate investment implying environmental performance's significance in leading corporate governance and enhancing corporate investment. Further research can extend the observation period, use other sectors as the sample, use the different indicators in each variable, and develop the relationship between variables on a broader framework.

Abstract

The success of the banking industry in a crisis such as the Covid pandemic is highly dependent on employee performance. Employee performance in banking companies will increase employee efficiency and productivity. Employee performance improvement can be formed through accuracy in Work Placement and providing Work Motivation. Work Placement and employee motivation to improve performance are still debated in previous studies. Based on previous research gaps, this study aims to determine the effect of Work Placement and Work Motivation on Employee performance and to determine the effect of Work Placement on Employee performance through Work Motivation in employees of a government bank in Kediri, East Java, Indonesia. The number of respondents in this study was 58 people who were obtained by using the saturated sampling technique for employees. The data collection method used a questionnaire with PLS (Partial Least Square) analysis tool. The results of this study indicate that employee placement and work motivation influence the employee performance of a bank company. However, the Work Motivation variable as a moderating variable cannot be proven because there is no influence between the Work Placement variable on Work Motivation. The next researcher can retest and develop the concepts used in this research to contribute to the development and renewal of management science.

Abstract

With this exploration directs to explore the effect of Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Total Asset Turnover (TATO) on Return on Equity (ROE) to Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the Basic Industrial and Chemical sector which was listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2015-2019. The population in this exploration amounted to 78 companies and the sample used was 13 companies. The method used in this research is an analysis of multiple linear regression and classical assumption test. The results showed that simultaneously CR, DER, TATO had sig effect on ROE. But, partially CR, DER had no significant effect on ROE, while TATO had sig affect ROE. Partially ROE had a negative sig effect on DPR and Corporate Social Responsibility. The result of coefficient determination with an Adjusted R 2 was 38.8% means the change of ROE had 38.8% can be explained by CR, DER, and TATO meanwhile 61.2% can be explained by the other variables outside from this study. For another analyst, it is suggested to attach other variables as reference material for further research.

Abstract

This study aims to prove the role of Total Quality Management (TQM) and organizational commitment in supporting the achievement of company operational performance. The population was all Convection SMEs in the city of Banda Aceh, consisted of 294 Convection SMEs. The sample was selected using a proportional sampling technique where sampling considers elements or categories in the study population. The sample taken was 15% of the population. One respondent represented one unit of SMEs, so the sample has amounted to 169 respondents. Data was collected using questionnaires. The model was analyzed with the Structural Equation Model Analysis. The result showed an influence between TQM on Organizational Commitment, TQM on Company Operational Performance, and Organizational Commitment on Company Operational Performance. This study also found that organizational commitment can act as a partial mediator to strengthen the effect of TQM on Company operational performance. The interesting issue in this study lies in the discussion of the organizational commitment to solving the inconsistency problems in the quality of convection production in SMEs. Furthermore, the other researchers can provide more concepts and variables to enrich this research model, like other mediators for TQM to achieve performance or even the commitment that can strengthen the TQM and performance. The model also can be a reference for practitioners to set their strategy in further, to go more productive.

Abstract

This research is conducted to find deeper meaning regarding the implementation of CSR for the environment carried out by PT Amerta Indah Otsuka (Pocari Sweat) Kejayan. This research is non-positivistic research that leads to an interpretive paradigm with a transcendental phenomenological approach. This approach can explore the meaning of people who already have experience with CSR implementation of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka (AIO) Kejayan. The results show that this company's CSR in the form of the environment are village greening, nursery rooms, making Biopore holes, conservation of water catchment areas, revitalizing the Bangil City square, revitalizing the Malabar City forest, and the cleanest hamlet and city forest competition. The realization of the CSR program is carried out based on existing needs and problems so that the company can open-heartedly assist in the form of social responsibility. Suggestions for future researchers are to make a phenomenological study to the public who get and feel the CSR program from the company so that readers can know the benefits and objectives of implementing CSR.
