Abstract

The logistics industry is growing very rapidly. One of big industry in Indonesia is PT. Tiki Line Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE), which has been established for 29 years. This company has an extensive network in all cities in Indonesia, with service points of 1,500 locations. JNE has an application called my JNE on Google Play, which received more than 86,000 reviews and since December 2019 only got a rating of 2.4 stars out of a total rating of 5 stars. This study is obtained to analysis JNE user review data from Google Play. The reviews used in this study totaled 1,876 classified into positive and negative sentiment classes using the Naïve Bayes Classifier algorithm and word associations were also implemented. Classification with naïve bayes classifier with 90% training data and 10% test data had the best accuracy of 85.87%. Furthermore, for the text association, information is obtained that JNE users are talking about "send", "package", "courier", "good", "application", "fast", "service", "receive", "help", and "star". Whereas in the class of negative sentiment users often talk about "send", "package", "courier", "disappointed", "service", "service", "bad", "application", "severe", and "slow".

Abstract

As the company's business grows, there product distribution network will increase. This will cause distribution costs to be increase. Therefore, the company decided to build a new warehouse in order to increase the efficiency of distribution costs. This new warehouse will use two storage systems, those are racking system and floor storage, so it need to design a good layout so that the space provided can be used effectively and efficiently. A dedicated storage policy is used to make workers easier to find products so that the time of product retrieval is faster. Another thing to consider is the proper allocation of products because this can affect the total distance of product movement which can also affect the time of product retrieval. In this study, multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) will be used to determine which product will be the main priority to be placed near the inbound/outbound (I/O). Furthermore, we will consider supporting facilities so that warehousing activities can run well where the preparation of each facility will use the activity relationship chart (ARC).

Abstract

Seawater which contains salt, metal components and mycobacteria is part of Indonesia's natural resources. Behind its abundance, not many benefits can be used, such as clean water to drinking water. Therefore, various technologies are needed to reduce the salt content and other components. In this study, a portable seawater purifier based on the adsorption function was used. The purification apparatus is in the form of a column, and has a series of plates that are placed as a support for the filling material in order to increase residence time and complete the purification process. Materials used as adsorbents in this study include ceramic biological balls, ammonite, volcanic rock, activated carbon and zeolite. Each material is organized in a filter bag for easy installation and cleaning. The equipment construction is arranged where in addition to the column there is also a circulation flow system for seawater to ensure the purification process can run optimally. The circulation process uses a buffer tank and a booster pump back to the column input line. The variable in this study, namely the location of the water sample at Ngobaran Beach, Gunungkidul. Another variable is the filtration rate. Based on the pH value of the TDS analysis and the adsorption results of seawater samples, it can be seen that the 2-stage adsorption process is the most optimal process configuration compared to other levels. This is because the 2-stage adsorption process obtained the smallest TDS value and the most suitable pH value for clean water. The results of this study can be an alternative for an easy and portable seawater purification method. This research can continue to be developed with innovations from the type of filling material and the configuration of the adsorption column used.

Abstract

The most dominant factor causing traffic accidents is the human factor, such as sleepy driver. Other distraction factors that can cause traffic accidents is the use of cell phones. This experiment was conducted to prove this by using a driving simulator. The experimental design will be divided into 3 stages, starting from stage 1 (easy), stage 2 (moderate), and stage 3 (difficult). This study was measured using subjective measurements using the Karolinska Sleepiness Scale (KSS) method, and objective measurement by measuring heart rate (bpm), and recording driving error data. The data collected will be processed using the Two Way Anova method to find the influencing factors. The results of the test based on subjective data there are differences in stage 3 where respondents are more awake. Meanwhile, based on objective data on heart rate measurements, there are differences between the pretest stage with stages 2 and 3. If based on driving errors, stage 1 is different from stages 2 and 3. Based on the results of data processing, it is obtained that road conditions that have a high density can increase driver alertness, then the use of mobile phones has a major influence on the occurrence of driving errors.

Abstract

Facility location decision making is necessary for both the public and private sectors for optimum utilization of resources. While the private sector may locate facilities to maximize profit or minimize cost, the public sector aims at providing services to cover as many in the population as possible. In this research, a Capacitated Maximal Covering Location problem (CMCLP) with constraints in actual world such as various types of facilities and consider maximum available budget to build the facilities. An Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) model is constructed in order to find the optimal solution. The problem to be solved is determining the strategic location for establishment of a Distribution Center (DC) that maximize number of demands that can be fulfilled. A numerical example in the previous study will be used and solved using MATLAB 9.0. From the development model, the company finds the optimal location to build a DC and knows the number of products allocated from DC to each demand point and the maximum number of demands that could be fulfilled as in the previous study. The company also could find out the type of DC to be built and of course meet the available budget to build the DC.

Abstract

Traditional markets in Indonesia have experienced a decline in performance as from 2002 to 2013. Sales value in 2002 was 74.8%, in 2005 the sales value of traditional markets was 67.6%, then in 2011 it was 55.8%. Giwangan Market is the largest traditional market in the area of Yogyakarta Province. However, many of the traditional markets have inadequate infrastructure both in terms of cleanliness and tidiness of the market location which is detrimental to truck drivers in these markets. Research shows that driver fatigue is the cause of road accidents by 30%. Regarding the measurement of mental workload, subjective measures of workload are easy to provide and have high assessment ability because the measurement is independent of the task. The Decision Support System Model can provide input to Giwangan Market managers to show the mental workload scale of truck drivers using the NASA-TLX Scale (Task Load Index) approach, the most widely used subjective scale by asking participants to rank separately on the mental command subscales. demand, physical demand, temporal demand, own performance, effort, and frustration level. The results of the system show that the mental workload of truck drivers in Giwangan Yogyakarta Market has a very high workload, as many as 4 drivers, 5 drivers have a high workload and 1 driver has a fairly high workload interpretation.
