Abstract

PT X is a cement manufacturer company that experienced a loss of production caused by the high value of downtime. Based on downtime data, the raw mill machine appears to have the most significant value in machine downtime. This study aims to measure the raw mill machine's effectiveness in applying Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). The method used in this research is Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). This method measures engine effectiveness and loss factor analysis using the Six Big Losses method, as well as finding the root cause through a five why and cause and effect diagram to give the most suitable recommendations. The result of this study found that the average OEE value in 2021 was below the international OEE standard of 85%, which is 72% and 67% for Raw Mill Plant 9 and Raw Mill Plant 10, respectively. The low performance of Raw Mill Plant 9 and Raw Mill Plant 10 machines is a consequence of breakdown losses and reduced speed losses that had happened. The root causes were a lack of training for mechanics and no stock control for spare parts. The recommendations are to improve training programs and facilities and create a spare parts inventory management system.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is engaged in the production of snacks. This company makes products from raw materials to finished products. In the packaging section using a machine called CingFong, the problem that often occurs in the packaging section is that there is often a buildup of production materials due to waiting for machines that have not finished maintenance so that it can reduce the productivity of this factory. Overall the method used is Preventive Maintenance by looking for Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) to identify critical components in Cingfong engine parts. From the data processing that has been done, it is known that the Clutch, Blade and Emergency Stop are components that fall into the category of critical components with a total Cumulative Downtime of 70.3%.

Abstract

The speed in distributing the products of the industry is influenced by the speed of production produced by the industry itself. SMEs know that ECO is one of the manufacturing industries engaged in food manufacturing. there are obstacles (problems) that are experienced, namely the occurrence of inequality between the production capacity of tofu that can be produced and the demand for tofu that must be met. The purpose of this study is to increase the production capacity of Tofu Eco SMEs in terms of increasing working time. The method used in this research is the dynamic system method using the PLE vensim software. The results of the study show that based on the actual system conditions, it is known that there are 25 workers with 8 working hours per day, and an average production capacity of 957 barrels per month is obtained month with an average demand of 1005 barrels /month. The results of the alternative simulation I, have an average production capacity of 1,080 barrels/month. The results of the scenario II simulation show that the average production capacity is 1,230 barrels/month. From the simulation results of alternative scenarios, it can be seen that for production demand below 1,080 barrels/month, the alternative used is to add 1 hour (60 minutes) of overtime, while for requests above 1,079 barrels/month with a maximum production demand of 1,255 barrels/month, alternative scenarios can be used. II with the addition of 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes) of overtime.

Abstract

In the marketing field, social media advertising has become powerful medium to market products and services. The purpose of this study is to analyze the connection that exists between user motivation and the engagement of social media advertisements. In addition to that, the purpose of this study is to determine which kinds of social media have the highest levels of user involvement. A cross-sectional design with a self-administered questionnaire is used for the research methodology. The Chi-square test developed by Pearson is used as the correlation test for the investigation. Non-random sampling is used for the selection of the population, with a minimum sample size of thirty master's students from Uppsala University serving as the selection criteria. According to the findings, there is no connection between user motivation with their engagement in the online advertising. In addition, when it comes to online advertising, Facebook and Instagram are the two platforms that have the highest level of user engagement. The findings also suggest that there is a significant positive relationship between the most used channels and user engagement to online advertising.

Abstract

Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program provides opportunities for students to develop their abilities. One of the MBKM program is Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka (PMM). This program provides option for students to attend lectures at other universitie, so the student can get experience regarding new experience. However, in other hand this program causes mental burden for students who join it. This is because the credits become greater. This study evaluates how the mental workload felt by students using DRAWS method. The results of this study, the most dominant indicator in PMM at PTN is Central Demand and in PTS is Time Pressure. Students who fall into overload category are 60% for PMM in PTN and 59% in PTS. Based on the results, the recommendations that can be given are improving time management for students and review how the policies about PMM so the students are not burden of credits.

Abstract

PT Kimpai Dyna Tube focuses on PBL (Plastic Barier Laminate) Tube products, which currently focuses on providing cosmetic products with plastic-based materials. Based on the results of the field survey on the inventory process, several problems were found, namely overstock material, deadstock material and outstanding material. The analysis process used is the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method because of its efficiency. Based on the results of the FTA, it was found that the basic event in the case of overstock material and deadstock material, namely changes in skincare trends in the community that caused very significant changes in the results of purchase orders and forecasts. The solution for the problem of overstock material and material deadstock is the application of a stock level system on inventory. Meanwhile, in the Outstanding material case, 3 basic events were obtained including, long lead time for delivery by overseas suppliers, trouble machines and many rejected quality items. Based on the results of the FTA, solutions were found for these problems, including performing careful calculations for the process of purchasing goods from foreign suppliers, providing machine spare parts and coordinating with suppliers and customers regarding the quality standards of production.

Abstract

Delivery activities have a great role for a business actor. However, delivery issues are there all the time. This was experienced by a noodle culinary SME that experienced delays in the delivery of various noodle raw materials and noodle toppings which caused noodle sales activities to be disrupted. In addition, these raw materials have a lifespan (without preservatives) so they must be delivered according to a predetermined schedule and hours. This research will solve this problem by minimizing delays through finding the shortest mileage delivery route. Because each delivery location has its own schedule and time window, the Nearest Neighbor method by paying attention to the time window is used. Based on the calculation results, each distribution route with the shortest distance was obtained, as evidenced by a reduction in the middle route by 0.23 km and the northern route by 5.88 km. In addition, this proposed delivery route was able to save fuel consumption on the middle route by 3% and the northern route by 10%. In terms of the workload aspect, car fleet drivers were also reduced by 31% and motorbike fleet drivers by 47%.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company that produces products according to orders from other companies, so the products produced vary greatly in terms of shape and size. Of the many variations of products produced, all products made must go through the process of cutting raw materials using a slitter machine. In this cutting process, workers have various complaints and problems in operating the slitter machine. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the design of tools using the integration model between AD and HOQ or often called the Axiomatic House of Quality (AHOQ). This research was conducted using the AHOQ method with observation, interviews, and data analysis techniques. From the AHOQ that has been obtained, there are 3 kinds of alternative combinations of design concepts. The combination of alternatives that have been obtained is carried out with a design concept using the scoring method. Based on the assessment method, the concept chosen is a combination of alternative 3 with a total weighted value of 2.9. From the final product design, suggestions are given, namely the material used in the design concept must be durable and the grip material in the design concept must use comfortable materials.
