Abstract

ABSTRACT Cayenne pepper, a national strategic horticultural commodity, has yet to reach its production potential, partly due to global climate change affecting agricultural yields. This study evaluates the sustainability of small-scale cayenne pepper farming at four Islamic boarding schools in Bogor Regency, part of the 'Juara Ekspor' partnership program involving cross-sector collaboration. Using FAO's SAFA framework, the research assesses four sustainability dimensions: governance, environment, economy, and social. The study was conducted at Islamic Boarding School (pesantren) namely Darul Fallah, Al-Wafa, Modern Sahid, and Nurul Iman, involving 12 purposively selected respondents comprising farmers and production assistants. The SAFA Tool 2.4.1 processed questionnaire data to evaluate sustainability. Results indicate good sustainability practices overall, particularly in economic resilience and social welfare. Strong performance was also noted in governance (ethics, participation, law enforcement), environment (water, biodiversity, energy), economy (investment, vulnerability, product quality), and social themes (livelihoods and labor rights). Penelitian ini mengevaluasi keberlanjutan pertanian cabai rawit skala kecil di empat pondok pesantren di Kabupaten Bogor, yang merupakan bagian dari program kemitraan 'Juara Ekspor' yang melibatkan kolaborasi lintas sektor. Dengan menggunakan kerangka kerja SAFA FAO, penelitian ini menilai empat dimensi keberlanjutan: tata kelola, lingkungan, ekonomi, dan sosial. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pesantren Darul Fallah, Al-Wafa, Modern Sahid, dan Nurul Iman, dengan melibatkan 12 responden yang dipilih secara purposif yang terdiri dari petani dan asisten produksi. SAFA Tool 2.4.1 mengolah data kuesioner untuk mengevaluasi keberlanjutan. Hasilnya menunjukkan praktik keberlanjutan yang baik secara keseluruhan, terutama dalam hal ketahanan ekonomi dan kesejahteraan sosial. Kinerja yang baik juga terlihat dalam tata kelola (etika, partisipasi, penegakan hukum), lingkungan (air, keanekaragaman hayati, energi), ekonomi (investasi, kerentanan, kualitas produk), dan sosial (mata pencaharian dan hak-hak pekerja). Abstract

Rumah tangga nelayan di Kabupaten Gresik merupakan kelompok masyarakat yang rentan terhadap ketahanan pangan akibat pendapatan yang fluktuatif dan keterbatasan akses terhadap pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi tingkat ketahanan pangan rumah tangga nelayan, (2) menganalisis strategi penanggulangan pangan (Food Coping Strategies) yang digunakan, serta (3) menganalisis hubungan antara strategi tersebut dengan tingkat ketahanan pangan rumah tangga nelayan. Penelitian dilakukan di Kelurahan Lumpur, Kabupaten Gresik, dengan melibatkan 80 rumah tangga nelayan yang dipilih melalui metode purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan US-HFSSM, RCSI, dan uji chi-square.Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 88% rumah tangga nelayan berada dalam kondisi rawan pangan, dengan 50% mengalami kelaparan sedang dan 25% kelaparan berat. Strategi coping yang paling umum digunakan berada pada kategori sedang (51,25%), diikuti oleh kategori rendah (26,25%) dan tinggi (23,75%). Uji chi-square menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat food coping strategies dengan ketahanan pangan rumah tangga (p < 0,05). Semakin tinggi intensitas strategi coping, semakin rendah ketahanan pangan rumah tangga tersebut.Implikasi dari temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya intervensi kebijakan berbasis lokal, seperti penguatan sumber pendapatan alternatif dan edukasi strategi coping yang sehat, guna meningkatkan ketahanan pangan rumah tangga nelayan secara berkelanjutan. Abstract

  Sugar factories operating in Sidoarjo Regency began to decline, this was due to land function experts to machine parts damage. PT. Pabrik Gula Candi Baru Sidoarjo is a sugar-based agroindustry that has remained operational near the center of Sidoarjo Regency. The company's land sugarcane harvest in the procurement of sugarcane raw materials has not met the grinding target. So it needs a fixed partner to meet the grinding target and so that the company continues to operate. The research was conducted to analyze 1) the partnership pattern of PT. Pabrik Gula Candi Baru Sidoarjo with sugar cane farmers partnership (TRK), 2) The motivational level of partnership sugarcane farmers (TRK) maintains cooperative relationships with companies and 3) analyzes farmers' income earned once the planting season. Research was conducted in May–November 2024 in Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency. The population of the study respondents was 363 partnership sugarcane farmers (TRK) through a Slovine calculation and a 15% error rate, a study sample of 40 respondents obtained. Research uses descriptive analysis to determine partnership patterns, motivational levels using the likert scale and cost of farming, receiving, and income of farmers with income analysis. The research results state that the partnership pattern of PT. Pabrik Gula Candi Baru Sidoarjo with sugarcane farmers partnership (TRK) is in the form of a plasma core. As well as the level of motivation for partnership sugarcane farmers (TRK) in partnership with companies is classified as a strong category with an 80% percentage that farmers expect consistent profits. The sugarcane cultivation business of partnership sugarcane farmers (TRK) costs Rp32. 093.349/ha, revenue of Rp52.879.420/ha and revenue of Rp20.786.071/ha. Thus, the conclusion of this study was that partnerships could convince farmers of the potential of the agricultural business and maintain sugarcane farming businesses by providing proper income.

Abstract

The agricultural product supply chain frequently faces challenges, including fluctuations in demand, climate change, and the perishable nature of products, which can result in inefficiencies and losses. These issues require technology to optimize supply chain performance, one of which is through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This study aims to identify the types of AI commonly used, their applications across various stages of the supply chain, their role in enhancing efficiency, and the challenges associated with their implementation. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on 21 scientific articles from 2015 to 2025 sourced from the Scopus database. Articles were selected based on criteria including journals and proceedings, open access, and relevance to AI applications in agricultural product supply chains. The research results indicate that machine learning and deep learning are the most widely used types of AI, particularly for crop yield prediction, plant disease detection, product quality classification, and logistics management. AI has been applied across various stages of the supply chain, from cultivation, processing, to distribution. AI has proven to enhance efficiency, real-time monitoring, and decision-making. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as limited quality data, inadequate infrastructure, high implementation costs, and low human resource capacity. Therefore, the utilization of AI in the agricultural product supply chain requires collaboration between the government, academia, industry, and farmers. On the other hand, regulations and policies supporting AI adoption also need further review to ensure this technology can be widely and sustainably implemented.

Abstract

Ketahanan pangan merupakan aspek strategis dalam pembangunan nasional, khususnya dalam konteks dinamika pertumbuhan penduduk dan ketergantungan terhadap impor beras. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tren historis impor beras Indonesia selama 10 tahun periode 2015–2024 serta menganalisis pengaruh variabel jumlah penduduk, produksi padi, luas panen, dan nilai tukar petani (NTP) terhadap ketahanan pangan nasional. Penelitian ini berdasar pada data sekunder dengan pendekatan kuantitatif mengaplikasikan metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis tren impor beras dan forecasting 10 tahun mendatang, serta analisis regresi linier berganda guna mengidentifikasi determinan utama ketahanan pangan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tren impor beras mengalami peningkatan secara fluktuatif, yang merefleksikan ketidakseimbangan antara kapasitas produksi dalam negeri dan pertumbuhan konsumsi. Selanjutnya, variabel jumlah penduduk, produksi, luas panen dan NTP terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap ketahanan pangan nasional dengan nilai Adjusted R2 = 0,889. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam penyusunan kebijakan ketahanan pangan yang berbasis pada bukti empiris dan perencanaan jangka menengah hingga panjang.
