Abstract

Tests and Measurements, is an integral part of various human activities, as well as in sports training activities. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The population that the researchers determined was in regional training center athletes in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Sampling techniques are carried out by purposive random sampling, namely athletes who enter the regional training center in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, so that a number of 106 athletes are obtained. The instrument used to collect the research data used the triple hop test to determine the athlete's ability level. The data in quantitative research obtained from respondents is tabulated then calculated the percentage, and then analyzed. The instrument used to collect the research data used the triple hop test to determine the athlete's ability level. The data in quantitative research obtained from respondents is tabulated then calculated the percentage, and then analyzed. The results, it can be argued that the average level of the level of triple hop ability of regional training center athletes during the periodization of competition is in the less category for each category of men and women. Therefore, it is necessary to provide special evaluation and treatment.

Abstract

Fencing is a sport that requires a maximum physical component so that in this study the aim was to test and find out the effect of variations in stair climbing exercises in improving floret/foil balestra fencing weapons. This study used a test-experiment with the research design "Single-Group Pretest-Posttest Design". The research sample consisted of 20 people, coming from students (elective course (MKP) Fencing) of a state university in eastern Indonesia (male and female) who were then divided into training groups through random sampling technique. The balestra fence measurement tool for floret/foil type weapons uses the Kuhadja fencing skills test. Pretest and posttest results were analyzed using the influence test (t-test). The research location is at the Football Stadium (a stadium grandstand with 25 steps). Results; 1) there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest groups with the various stair climbing exercises towards increasing the ability to balestra floret fencing weapons. 2) There is a significant difference between the posttest (after treatment) of varied stair climbing training and the control group in increasing the ability to balestra floret fencing weapons. We estimate that this increase is the result of increased leg muscle strength, speed, and explosive power obtained through varied stair climbing exercises.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to carry out a traditional game, especially a kite, as an effort to overcome stress in elementary school students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Quantitative research with the type of survey research is carried out in this study. The sample in this study amounted to 10 students. The sample was selected based on being domiciled in a block whose houses were not far apart so that it was easy to condition them. The distribution of questionnaires and performing organized interviews with parents and kids make up the data collection process. In this study, the Lovibond and Lovibond DASS (Depression Anxiety Stress Scale) questionnaire 42 was utilized. Both quantitative and qualitative descriptive methodologies were used to analyze the data. The findings demonstrated that the scores obtained were based on DASS 42 from the circumstances before the test to overcome stress with kite flying and after. Before the trial, the stress value was 31.7, then after that, there was a decrease of around 16.7, which is in the range of 15. Thus, overcoming stress through the traditional kite game is considered quite successful for elementary school students during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are limitations in this study because it is not able to describe the situations of students with a larger scope, different cultures, physical conditions, and urban play environments. Recommendations for further researchers to conduct research for students in overcoming stress against high pressure in the learning process through the form of methods, strategies, and other games.

Abstract

Lesson plan is the main key in learning. This study aims to analyze the lesson plans of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) oriented big ball games subject in physical education learning. This is descriptive quantitative research, with document analysis method. 16 lesson plans arranged by 16 teachers from 16 schools in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta involved in this study. This study analyzes big ball game lesson plans including eight indicators: formulation of indicators, learning objectives, learning methods, learning media, learning materials, learning resources, learning activities, and learning assessments using document analysis guidelines with descriptors ranging from 1-5 scales (very good, good, acceptable, poor, very poor). The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis and is presented in percentage. The results showed that the analysis of HOTS-oriented big ball game lesson plans as a whole was included in the sufficient category with a range of eight indicators 29-84. The learning resource component is the component of the lesson plan that has the lowest average of 1.94. The learning activity component is the lesson plan component that has the highest mean of 19.12. It can be concluded that learning resources need the main attention to be improved in order to realize HOTS learning. Therefore, future research should consider the type of game, level of education, region or area, and health conditions due to post-pandemic situations.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the effect of isotonic drinks on students' heart rates. This experimental research relied on a randomized pretest–posttest control group design; it consisted of one control group (t1) and one treatment group (t2). All participants were treated with the same exercise protocol including endurance training specifically for the branches of pencak silat (exercise straight kick techniques, scythe while hitting). The control group consumed mineral water, while the treatment group was provided with an isotonic drink after exercise. Following the treatment phase was the calculation of participants' heart rates for one minute; this process was replicated three times: before the exercise (T1), 60 to 90 minutes after the exercises (T2), and 10 minutes after the exercise interval (T3). All data were analyzed using a T-test. The results revealed that the initial heart rates of the control and treatment groups were 72.6 ± 10.36 and 66.3 ± 8.60, respectively.  In other words, there were no differences between the two groups. The initial heart rates of the control group control and treatment group after the exercise was 159.2 ± 10.48 and 149.0 ± 8.59, respectively. According to the t-test results, there was a difference (p < 0.05) in the heart rates of the control group and treatment group after the exercises. The initial heart rates of the control group control and treatment group after the exercise interval was 76.2 ± 11.0 and 65.9 ± 8.62, respectively. The t-test results reported a difference (p < 0.05) in the heart rates of the control group and treatment group after the exercise interval of 10 minutes. Isotonic drinks significantly to heart rates recovery after pencak silat exercise of female students.
